It will definitely be available in the UK. We try to make it available to as many people in as many countries possible. We might add localization in the future too.

I can confirm that we will support daytime and location specific levels and rates for Pokémon. I think that'll certainly come in handy :-)
We won't support locations 'while radio off' or 'during a swarm' right now though. Today I tried to add those specific locations to Caterpie and that took me nearly 20 minutes! Those locations aren't that important I think but they will come in a future version.

I will post more screenshots or a video soon in this thread so stay tuned ;-)

KraniumRevolvos April 2nd, 2010 11:16 PM

I'm really happy to hear that Kombo, and it's great that you listen to your audience!
It is kind of sad to hear there won't be swarm and radio information, but that would be icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned, as I'm already pumped for the release of this anyway.

Pokafreak April 4th, 2010 4:57 AM

Awesome! Haha, I really can't wait. I have a lot of moments when playing Pokémon like: 'I wish I had a Pokédex!.

What suggestions from this site did you actually use? I'm just curious.

Kombo Studio April 4th, 2010 6:50 AM

Some suggested features that will make it in the initial release: location specific levels and rates, abilities, splash screen.
Features that will be implemented in the next update or later: Links to external sites (bulbapedia, smogon, etc), Event calendar, Team builder, Natures and EV stats / IV calculator.

And a lot more features which were inspired by talking with you all :-)

Meanwhile we're still working on completing our database and improving our texts. We've also improved our layout to be more good-looking and usable, screenshots will be posted later today ;-)

Pokafreak April 4th, 2010 10:45 AM

Cool! Can't wait to see the 'improved' design :)

.hack April 4th, 2010 10:55 AM

You could add brief entries of Zorua and Zorroark of course leaving most fields blank but it's original since no other Dex app's have 'em in there and you could just add the information to the fields via updates as the information is leaked.

Kombo Studio April 4th, 2010 2:40 PM

.Hack: I think we will add them as soon as there is more information available :-)

Here's a sneek peak at the improved design which will be fully implemented tomorrow morning :-D

We want to release lukomon Pokédex ASAP. Just a bit more database work!

Pokafreak April 5th, 2010 1:16 AM

oh my god. That looks soooo freaking good, even better than the first design. I don't have more words... just plain awesome.

One question, that evolution screen is like a pop-up? (just like push-notifications)

Serene Grace April 5th, 2010 3:05 AM

*brings out his £25 iTunes card*

I got this just for you. Don't dissapoint. (:

Kombo Studio April 5th, 2010 4:08 PM

Hey!

The evolution screen is similiar to a popup notification on the iPhone, though we'd like to call it a 'Modal window' ;-)
We're very excited as we're almost ready to release lukomon :-)

Sup3rSuzaku April 5th, 2010 5:33 PM

It's out already? I didn't see it on the market.

My mistake! I have another by "Nolan Lawson". I figured it was this one as the other one on the market belongs to someone else who posted in this forum. :P Pokedroid is what it's called.

In that case, really looking forward to this one. XD

Yeah awesome :D. Any ETA?

Kombo Studio April 7th, 2010 11:01 AM

We were experiencing some problems with our database since there are over 9000 texts in there. This was causing horrible slowdown on newer Pokémon (like a Slowpoke in slowmotion). We've rewritten and optimized most of our code as we implemented the new design but it was still too slow (it evolved into Slowbro). That's why we came up with a solution: generate flat-files from our server which contain all information we need. This works pretty well and is fast :-) We're still implementing this method for some of our other data (like items) and this shouldn't take long anymore. Sorry for the delay!

We're working as hard as we can, haven't slept normal for a week and I have only played Heart Gold for 3 hours since the release! ;-(

CrashSmAshley April 7th, 2010 11:11 AM

I have an iPhone and I'm really excited for this =] Hopefully it's not too expensive!

Kombo Studio April 7th, 2010 11:55 AM

Thanks for all the positive replies!
lukomon Pokédex will be introduced at a reduced introduction price. You're the first to know ;-)
Oh and we will be releasing some promo codes in here, since you rock :)

Gulpin April 7th, 2010 1:27 PM

How much will the app to be?

After reading through the whole thread, I have some other questions.

Is the above a real entry or just to show the design, etc? Because, as far as I'm concerned Bulbasaur isn't found on any of those routes or cities, and those routes/cities aren't in Diamond (which is highlited).

Similar to the above question, it says trade while holding this item (metal coat) followed by a fire stone (or thunderstone; can't tell) to get Ivysaur, which is obtained by leveling up. Also, Ivysaur doen't have a Hold Item as it isn't found in the wild.

Also, what are these promo codes and what do they do?

Just curious; not wanting to sound doubting. I personally find this amazing as I'm getting an iPod Touch for my birthday and my heart rate went up becasue of excitement of this app!

Pokafreak April 7th, 2010 10:45 PM

deku, this is what Kombo Studio said:

So I guess it is correct that the data in there is just for testing.

Also, promo codes are something like (if I remember it correctly) codes you can use in iTunes to download a certain app for free. Just like gift cards for example.

OT; cool Kombo~! Hope I can snag a promo code. If not, don't worry, I'll definitely buy the app when it releases. :)

Destiny Bond April 8th, 2010 1:25 AM

I'd get that app on my ipod, just how much will it cost? 1.19? 2.49? or 3.99?
