I'm just entering ice cave, how does my team look?
|
Really good!
I find training boring how can I make it easier? To level up faster? |
Ummm....
-Lucky Egg -Battle different trainers -Get someone else to level it up for you (look in Trade Corner, some people offer it for free, and will even EV train pokemon for you) Yeah, that's about it. |

Lol. My highest levelled AFTER the Elite Four was my Politoed, and he was lv.46
Anyway, that was on a previous runthrough.... Where can I find the first double battle in SoulSilver? And please don't say they use ground-types, as I only want it to us my Pichu lovers (because that's what PCPichu and Notch-Eared Pichu are) together. |
Any tips for the Bug Catching contest?
What level of pokemon does it take to win, what level of Pokemon to use etc? Any advice appreciated !! |
Uhhh...pre-E4?
I don't know if it changes afterwards, but... lv.25ish, I reckon. Where can I find the first double battle in SoulSilver? And please don't say they use ground-types, as I only want it to us my Pichu lovers (because that's what PCPichu and Notch-Eared Pichu are) together -just forwarding it. |
Try to catch pokemon without hurting them...that's right just throw the ball and hope it catches it...
try to catch pokes with appearance rate of 5%(scyther,pinsir,beedril,butterfree) catch the highest levelled one (15 - butterfree/beedril , 14-pinsir/scyther) however a 31 level weedle may also do the trick actually it depends on luck..i won with a 15 lvl butterfree on my first try but then lost to a weedle despite catching a scyther And yeah do save before taking the competition ..that way u can try until u win :) |
this is gonna sound stupid, but I just ran into entei for the first time on accident. he fled ;A; am I ever gonna get another chance to catch him again, or should I shut off my game? D8
|
How do i get massive amount of Hondew berries? I accidently trained my shuckle's Sp. att, rather sp. def.

Alright, my question is kind of opinionated, but still, should I try my hand at the ruins of alph before going to the second gym? Or should I wait until I have beaten the E4 and do it before I go to Kanto?

It's completely your call, but if you don't have those things, as I've said, there's only so much you can do. |

hi everyone,
im stuck, im in Kanto and I've just got Cerulean Badge but what do i do now? i need to get to pewter city but snorlax is in the way of the tunnel! please help |
go to Lavender Town. Go into what used to be Pokemon Tower. Talk to the man that looks like a Gentleman. He'll give you the EXPN Card, or Expansion Card. Go back to snorlax, go to the radio in the pokegear, go to the center top star, it'll Play the PokeFlute, then talk to snorlax. You guys will battle. After catching/defeating/running away from Snorlax, he'll dissapear. You'll be able to go in DIGLETT'S Cave.
Hope this helps |
Quote:
Quote:
First you have to make sure you've done the Power Plant side quest. Go to the Power Plant (find a map on Serebii or Bulbapedia if you're not sure where it is) and talk to the man on the generator. He'll tell you about a missing part. Then go to Cerulean again and enter the gym. A Rocket guy will be there and will run off. Follow him to Nugget Bridge and battle him. After the battle, he'll tell you he hid the part in the gym. Go back to the gym and check the rubber rings at the top left to find the part. Take it back to the Power Plant and talk to the man on the generator. Now the power is back in Kanto. Now you can go to the Radio Tower in Lavender Town and recieve the EXPN Card for your Pokégear. The Pokéflute Channel is towards the top; it is a manual channel and can only be found by using the stylus to move the circle. Playing the Pokéflute Channel near the Snorlax awaken it and allow you access to Diglett's Tunnel, and by extension, Pewter City, Viridian City and Pallet Town. A second thing that can be unlocked by doing this is the Magnet Pass side quest. At the Magnet Train Station, the guard will tell you that the power is back, but you don't have a pass. A woman near the Magnet Train Station in Saffron will mention that the Copycat has a spare pass. Talking to the Copycat will reveal that she has lost her PokéDoll and will give you a Pass in exchange for its return. You must go to Vermillion and enter the Pokémon Fan Club. Talking to the Sailor will give you the Doll. Upon exiting the Club, Steven Stone will arrive and inform you of the presence of your version's member of [email protected] Now one of Latias or Latios is roaming Kanto. Take the Doll back to Copycat and get the pass. Quest: Power Plant Results: - EXPN Card - Access to West Kanto - Magnet Pass. |

|
Quote:
And the Magnet Train quest is just something else you can do as a result of getting the power back on. |
the reason why i left that is because he/she said that they got the Cascade Badge. You can only get it if you complete the power plant sidequest
|
thanks for ur help,
but I just want to know, do you get a starter from Oak, or two starters or what? and do you get to go to hoenn and sinnoh? |
No. You get a starter from Prof Oak, and a pick of 1 hoenn starter From Steven
theres only kanto and johto in there |
Oh, and in case you're unaware, you can't get the starters by just going to Pallet. You have to have defeated Red first.
From Bulbapedia: Quote:
|
Oh yeah
Something I problay will be doing this week |
^ That is correct, you have to defeat Red before you can get the starters.
|
how do you do garys gym, where is he?
hes not in the gym and by gary i mean red |
Red is the legendary trainer in Mt. Silver (the peak).
To reach Blue's gym, you must get the first 7 kanto badges. Once that's done go to Cinnabar Island and talk to Blue. He'll go ahead and go back to his gym in Viridian City. His gym is kinda annoying lol |
I'm about to begin raising a Smeargle. What's the best way to go about getting it to Sketch the moves I want it to?
|
Quote:
Good luck! |
he says i have 5 badges, i need more but i dont know where they are!
the 5th badge and the 7th badge?! |
Quote:
5th badge is perhaps Fuchsia City's Gym Leader, Janine? I can't recall the order, atm, but that seems like the only other one you'd be missing. |
OK, two questions ...
1) THE ELDER WON'T GIVE ME A DRATINI !!! I've answered his questions well but he gives me NO Dratini !!! I've even beaten Red but NO DRATINI !!! What's wrong ? 2)Why does the POKEWALKER keep on telling me "Stare down" ? Please answer as quickly as possible ! :) |
Quote:
Secondly, did you answer all the questions right? If not, you won't get the Dratini. Thirdly, are you sure you're talking to the right person? (just saying, because I've seen it happen). If not you won't get the Dratini. If it is none of the above, then I'm sorry but I can't help you. 2. I assume you're talking about when in battle and you press 'Evade'. It's not telling you to stare down, it's just telling you what your Pokémon is doing. It means neither Pokémon is moving. Sometimes this gives the wild Pokémon a chance to escape. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
|
Quote:
I don't have much knowledge of this to be honest. -.-'' Or you could use your Pokédex to find the best place to find a wild Pokémon that would know a move you want and Sketch it there? |
Is it possible to get any more berry pots in the game, or are you stuck with only the four you get at some point?
|
you are stuck with the four you get
|
Quote:
There was speculation at some point that this could be increased to eight, but the four faded things behind the pots are actually the lids, which can be seen in the in-bag sprite. |
The path the Cinnabar Island is closed and I can't get up route 4 to Pewter City what do I do?
|
You have to reach the Digglet Tunnel by getting the pokeflute feature on your pokegear from the city east of Saffron (radio tower) and then wake up the Snorlax blocking the route east of Vermilion.. Of course you gotta do the whole "Fix the power plant" quest.
|
Alright, getting really annoyed here.
I've trained my Eevee from level 5 to level 51, and it has not evolved. It has only fainted once! How much more love does it need? >.< |

give it a soothe bell talk to it frequently stuff it up with vitamins message it give it a haircut.... |
Quote:
The earlier the better! Mine evolved at 31, and that's kind of late. Here's what I did, I walked around with it a lot, gave it potions whenever it lost health, talked to it, gave it haircuts and it was holding the soothe bell. |

Problems with Pokewalker
Okay, I've lost my pokewalker. So I got my instruction booklet out and checked it. It says to hold Up on the d-pad, Select and R to get your Pokemon back.
...Well, I've done that, but nothing happened. Am I doing something wrong, or did the instruction booklet lie? |
What screen are you doing it on? The title screen?
I think you have to do it on the Pokewalker Menu Screen. |
Ok, I had that problem too, but I just msiunderstood what they wrote. So, follow this list:
On the Main Menu/ before the actual game, go to Connect to Pokewalker When You get to the Return From Stroll/Receive Gift Screen, follow their instructions WITHOUT clicking on the options. Hit Yes twice, and viola, you get your pokemon back. |
-Where do I get the Good Rod? This decides whether or not I capture a Chinchou.
-Which HMs do I need to visit the Karate King in Mt. Mortar, and receive a Tyrogue? Obviously I'll defeat him :P |
Quote:
- The center of Mt. Mortar can be reached using Surf, Waterfall, Rock Climb and (as I remember it) either Strength or Rock Smash. Sorry I can't be more reliable than that, but if you have a HM Slave that knowns the latter three, take that. (If not, a Graveller is suitable for such a use, I believe) |
How do you unlock the Beyond the sea pokewalker route? i know it says you need to trade for a foreign pokemon on the GTS, but this does not seem to work for me. I live in the UK, and earlier today i traded a Rattata from Chille over the GTS, but it did not unlock the route for me. i already have the national dex, and have beaten all gyms. a google search yeilded many others having the same problem, but very few answers, except that most people who havent unlocked seem to not have the national dex (which i do), and that it doesnt have to be a pokemon in a foreign language, which it wasnt. now, surely, as Chille is far far away from england n a continent in the other hemisphere, it should have unlocked the route for me? or am i missing something here?
|
try to trade for a Japanese one or soething? it may need to be a whole different language!
speaking of Pokewalkers.. if I Reset my Pokewalker settings... wopuld I still have the Yellow Forest route when I synced the walker once again? speaking of which, CAN I use the same Pokewalker again after I reset it (WITHOUT restarting my whole file!)? or would I need to take the walker and sync it to another game then unsync from THAT game to resync with the orogional ame? |
Quote:
If you got a Pokémon from Chile, then I'm not sure what to do. However, it is worth noting that some people do use false locations, and thus you must be aware that this might not be an actual Chilean Pokémon. You do have to have the National Dex, which is why those people haven't recieved the route. When I recieved my Japanese Lickitung, I remember that the route appeared on my list when next I checked it, which was the following morning. Perhaps you should leave it for a few hours and then check? Otherwise, perhaps try finding a Pokémon that you can be sure is foreign, like a Japanese Pokémon. |
i think i found the answer, i hadnt registered my own location in the geonet thing, so my game didnt know where i was located. how could it know it was a foreign pokemon without knowing where i am? XD
changed it to my location, but its still not unlocked the route. ill wait till tomorrow evening, if not, ill trade another poke cos it may not have registered the first now |

Allegedly, I read this on bulbapedia, if you give shuckle an oran berry it eventually turns into Berry Juice, if you keep it on even longer it turns into a rare candy. I have a few questions about this, Would it be based on how many steps you take or how long (real time) you keep it on?
Would it work if it were sitting in my box? If I gave it berry juice, would that turn into a rare candy eventually? I would love some help with these questions, thank you. |

Pokewalker question:
If I tied the Pokewalker to a ceiling fan and turn it to a low setting, will it count for steps? I have heard mixed comments on this, and wanted to know if anyone could confirm or debunk this. I ask, because at night I sleep with a ceiling fan on, so I am curious on if it would work. I know about the 999999 or so limit, but I am curious to the answer. Also, does anyone know when/what the next USA WiFi Event will be? Hopefully something decent, like the Sightseeing course. |

According to Serebii, the second Wi-Fi event (after Yellow Forest) in Japan for HG/SS was a Mew, so maybe that will be our next one as well. |
This is slightly off topic but I REALLY need to know this, does anyone know if the Nintendo wifi adapters work with Windows 7 computers? This is something I need to know as soon as possible because if they do I will be making a 30 minute drive to Centenial to pick one up.
Also I really am praying that we don't have localized events (meaning at Gamestops or Toys R Us) because I will be royally screwed. Two month summer program out pretty much in the middle of nowhere (I want to do it but the likelihood that I would get to either of the aforementioned is close to none even if there are some in town). |
Im sure i already know this, but i wanna make sure...
How do i get Dragon Pulse from Clair? |
go to dragon's den after beating her...inside talk to the elder and answer his questions...after than clair will give u the badge and dragon pulse..."whirlpool required"
|
heyy, im a huge fan of the pokemon games, play it quite a lot but i've never been so big on like, using each pokemon to its full potential so i'm kinda a noob when it comes to this stuff. i LOVE dragonite and want it to be as powerful as possible, so.. i'm wondering, can you use combo's in damage modification? So if i used dragon dance in battle, and my dragonite was holding a dragon fang, how would this affect its moves? Say outrage for example, my dragonites favourite move :D
also, i've read that items like grip claw increases outrage to 7 or 8 turns, is this true? Thanks guys. |
yes....if u use swords dance and your dragonite is holding dragon fang , outrage will do alott more damage.....however grip claw doesn't increase i's turns...it increases turns of trapping moves to five..
|
Quote:
?.?x from Attack Boost (depends on how many times you use and your Attack stat) 1.1x from Dragon Fang 1.5x from STAB That is how it works. You can use Dragon Dance for three turns and the effect lasts until it switches out or gets KOd. |
Just clearing up a few things. In Generation IV, Dragon Fang (and similar items) increases the power of Dragon-type moves by 20%, so that's 1.2x damage. And Dragon Dance increases Attack and Speed by 1 stage each, so DD would have to be used 6 times to reach the max boost (though you probably won't need that much of a boost anyway).
Outrage has a base 120 power, so after Dragon Fang, it goes up to 144, and then after STAB (1.5x), 216. I believe that's right...I'm told each modifier stacks multiplicatively. 120 x 1.2 x 1.5 = 216 Yay, Math Problem of the Day~ |
Quote:
you go to dragons den, pass then she gives you badge, no pulse. you have to travel threw the gym a 2nd time& talk to her personally in order to get dragon pulse (then you gotta go fight the kimono girls and their uber eeveelutions with no adequate area to train) |
no u don't need to go to the gym again.....she's just outside the dragon's den...
|
You are both incorrect. She'll be waiting for you near the exit of the Dragon's Den and once you surf over there, she'll talk to you and give you Dragon pulse.
|
okay, so I was reading on serebii that after placing the 24 peak items on rocky beach it would take Aron 0 days to appear. does this mean that it will pop up later on today?:\ I placed the objects about an hour ago.
|
After you defeat Clair from Blackthorn City;followed by going into Dragon's Den and talking to the Elder in the Shrine to anwser his questions correctly(note you must have HMsurf and HMwhirpool to access the Shrine), you can head to Victory Road and then the Indigo Plateau to challenge the Elite 4. If you don't know where to go or how to get to Kanto, just either walk, run, bike, or HMfly to New Bark Town and HMsurf from the water by your house until you reach a part of Kanto(when you first step on the Kanto ground, walk a couple or a few more steps and a man will walk towards you and say that you've taken your 1st step onto Kanto). Make your way through the routes and Victory Road to reach the Indigo Plateau. After you defeat the Elite 4, become the League Champion, enter the Hall of Fame, and watch/skip the credits, you find yourself in your room at your house back in New Bark Town. Head down the stairs and your Mom will talk to you and say that Professor Elm is waiting for you in his lab. head there and he will give you the S.S. Ticket for the Fast Ship S.S Aqua. Now you can access Kanto from Olivine City by going on the ship(whenever you want). Note that when you depart from Olivine City to Kanto you will not be able to head back to Johto on certain days since the Fast Ship S.S. Aqua departs from Vermillion City ONLY on Wednesdays and Sundays. I hope my understanding about this question helped you out!. :)

EDIT: The "0 days" may have been referring to 0 upgrades, meaning that the Peak items don't need to have been upgraded. |

Sorry for not giving any previous answers a shot; I'm not too far into the game and I don't want accidental spoilers so I skipped the whole thread :B.
I was just wondering if anybody knows whether I'll be able to continue looking for Flying/Surfing Pikachu after the event finishes? I don't see any reason why not seeing as the "software" for the route is most likely permanently on the game card/Pokewalker, but I thought it might be possible that it'll "disable" after May 5th. I haven't even started the event yet (although I have downloaded it) so yeah, I was wondering if I'll have to stay up all night shaking that thing like mad or if I'll be able to get a Pikachu or two in my own time. Thanks! :D |
Where can you get Ditto's in Johto with a regular chance of getting them? Need a couple.
|
Ditto has a 41% chance of appearing on Route 47 (in the grass), the highest there. You can get many easily there.
|
How do I get the item at Route 42 where it's outside of some entrance in Mt. Mortar? It has a body of water in front of it and rocks blocking it.
|
Hello.
How long I need to wait for the Second Challenge from Baoba? I tried changing time and it does not work.. Bulbapedia says that I need 3 in-game hours, that trick always worked, tried changing day too.. Maybe he'll phone me at certain place? |

Is there any way to reset Latios stats and nature after having Steve Stone tell me about them? I've been looking answers but i some say Latios can be resetted after E4 rematch and some say once you faint you don't get to see it anymore. So which answer is correct?

Recently, my friend has been having trouble with his Pokéwalker. From what he's told me, he resynched it to his game and now the menu doesn't display how many Watts are needed to get the next route, nor do any of his Watts from the Pokéwalker register.
We're both stumped as to what the cause could be, or how to combat it. Any suggestions? |
I was looking at Bulbapedia about Johto's safari and it said something about block one in the table, does it mean that the first block you walk into when coming out has to be that type?
