^^ It does. If you have a level 54 ev trained Porygon-Z, when you do a Level 100 online battle, it will have the stats of a level 100 eved Porygon-Z.

So There's really no point in training you're pokemon to level 100 for online battles then right?

Well, sorry to bother people, but I went to Viridian City and talked to the old man, then flew to Cinnabar island, why isn't Blue there? I can't rock climb, I've looked inside the Pokecenter as well. What do I do, or am I doing wrong?

Strange :/ How many badges have you got? Do you have 15? ...

NikoBelic999 May 30th, 2010 9:55 AM

Yes, I have 15, have caught both legendaries, and have beat the E4, so what do I do?

Thats really strange then cos if you've got 15 badges and talked to the man infront of the gym he really should be at Cinnabar :\ I'm confused..

Cholo May 30th, 2010 10:25 AM

WTF Pal Park!?

I've searching forever for this Shroomish I'm trying to migrate but it won't show up for anything..
I've tried everytime of day
I've tried headbutting trees
I've been running around in the forest section for the past like 10 minutes and what's even more, the game doesn't allow the use of Sweet Scent in Pal Park..
If someone doesn't tell me what I'm doing wrong I won't be able to migrate pokemon ever again....

NikoBelic999 May 30th, 2010 10:26 AM

Where is he on Cinnabar? My last option if I can't find him, I'll have to use the "All Badges" AR Cheat.

He's somewhere around the pokemon centre, near the area where you can use rock climb.

NikoBelic999 May 30th, 2010 10:50 AM

Well, I thank you for your help, but it didn't work, so I'll have to use a cheat. *sighs of disappointment*

Are you sure you are in the right place?

Cholo May 30th, 2010 11:51 AM

ya i checked everywhere online and they all said Shroomish is found in the Forest section..

I was wondering. How do I get an espon and a umbreon in pokemon soul silver? Can anyone teach me? I got them both in the original pokemon silver. But I forgot how to get it. Right now I have a level 5 evee and a level 10 ditto. I gave it to the day care lady so it can breed another evee for me. I'm getting 5 total. So I can have all the evolution of it. Thanks a million.

Edit: Also is it possible to get another expshare without cheat codes. If so how?

jigglyppuff8 May 30th, 2010 12:40 PM

You get Espeon by leveling up an Eevee with enough happiness during the Day.
Umbreon's the same but at Night.

To get another Exp. Share, match 3 digits in Goldenrod's Radio Tower's lottery drawing.

How do I Evolve Pokemon like Magnezone and Leafeon?

There are actually 7 Eeveelutions as of Gen IV.

Anyways, on to the question. How do you evolve certain Pokemon, like Magnezone or Leafeon, in HG/SS? In D/P/PL you would evolve Magnezone in Mt. Coronet, and Leafeon by the mossy rock. Is it possible to get these Pokemon to evolve in HG/SS, and, if so, where?

You can't. You have to evolve them in DPPt then trade them to HGSS.

ltsang May 30th, 2010 3:07 PM

Ok. I just put an evee and a ditto in the daycare. I just went back and check on them and the old man says that my ditto and my evee doesn't like each other very much. I have a question. In order to breed an egg one of them has to be a male right. Well I have male evee and a unkown type ditto. Will that make my egg turn into an evee. Let me know about the breeding.

Also today I found a magmar in the burn tower. It was so awesome and then I level him up to 31 right now. Woot The best fire type pokemon I ever caught. Oh its holding an exp share right now.

jigglyppuff8 May 30th, 2010 3:09 PM

Female + Male = Female's baby
Anything (butt No Eggs egg group) + Ditto = Anything's baby.
So, the egg will be an Eevee.

"doesn't like each other very much" just means that it will take a while for an egg to appear. Now, if they "prefer to play with other Pokemon", then there'd be no eggs.

I'm trying to call Whitney for a rematch but all she ever talks about is needing to work hard and improve, in my game its saturday at 3:00 so she should be available to battle.

Yep, unless the afflicted Pokémon has Guts.

Do vitamin's EV yield stay at the 10 EVs when a Pokemon is holding a Power Item, or is the extra 4 added?

jigglyppuff8 May 30th, 2010 6:08 PM

They only stay 10. The Power Items and Macho Brace only affect EVs gained in battle.

where do you go in the cerulean cave to find the electrizer in heart gold?

I couldn't find an electric type pokemon I want. I want an Amaphro, but he's no where to be found. I couldn't find him in soul silver. Does anyone know where is he located in soul silver?

Oh yea, by the way I finally got my egg from my evee and ditto yesterday night. I was surprise. Now I'm working on getting my espeon as my psychic type.

You need one of its pre-evolutions, Mareep (Routes 32, 42, 43) or Flaaffy (Routes 42, 43). Ampharos itself isn't available in the wild.

ltsang May 31st, 2010 7:59 AM

Also I have another question. When I looked on this website http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/158.shtml a list of moves for feralitgator and I saw some of the moves it didn't learn. My feraligator didn't learn Aqua tail or super power. The level is at 43 or 44 right now. I was wondering why. Could that website has false information. I hope my feraligator can learn hydro pump at the end. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

shookie May 31st, 2010 8:02 AM

That page says that Totodile learns Aqua Tail and Superpower in its mid-30s. Feraligatr learns Aqua Tail and Superpower at 50 and 58 respectively.

It's on the floor where Mewtwo is found. It's found on the area behind Mewtwo and behind that ladder.

Directions starting from where Mewtwo was. Go down the walkway then head left and use Surf and when you head to a junction, go up till you're back on land. Go up the walkway there is a area on the right where you can use Rock Smash. Use Rock smash to go down, then keep heading right and you'll see another area where you Rock Smash. Use Rock Smash to go up and you'll see a Pokeball there. Tada! You've found it. :P

In the PokeWalker, the first ones on the route list is the one you get first (By having the required amount of Watts or by Events) or does it depend on what type of routes they are? (Watts ones goes first, Event ones go last)

Hello. I finished the joho toto region today. I got into the pokemon league however my pokemon aren't strong enough to fight the elite 4. So I was wondering does anyone know a good place to trade my pokemon. Here is what I have so far a Lugia at level 47, Magmar at level 35, Feraligator at level 46, a Raikou at level 44. I also have an egg in my party. The egg is an evee. I'm planning on getting an umbreon for my dark type. Does anyone know what kind of electric type pokemon that are in the johoto region. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Your pokemon levels are mostly fine, as long as youre pokemon have super effective moves, you'll be okay. Make sure your feraligator has ice type moves for Lance. They will be very effective. as for the electric, mareep evolves into ampharos which is a pretty good electric type for johto, though in kanto electivire will be MUCH better.

There's no set day. You should be able to turn on your game, check the swarm, then soft reset until it changes to Ralts.

I'm in a bit of trouble in the game.
I've just arrived in Kanto in vermillion city. My pokemon, feraligatr and togekiss are lvl 51 and 48. I lack types and moves, my friends always says that I need more pokemon in my party- so I tried out Mamoswine. After trying to find out for an hour on the internet how to get ancientpower, he is underlevel. In addition, I have also added a scyther now holding a metal coat (will be traded tomorrow).

Mamoswine - lvl 38
Scyther - lvl 28

I'm having a lot of trouble leveling them up and the exp share isn't doing any good- rebattling the elite 4 is not viable either and I am not looking for EV points on the way because it would be a waste of time considering their natures (I know I know, I'm going to look for good ones when I finish the game). So please help me find a way how to level those two up to a decent level of maybe 50. My Mamoswine can almost wipe out Lt. Surge's gym, but I need to get him to the status quo.
Thanks to anyone who beholds a good way of training. (rate me)

How about putting your pokemon into the daycare centre? And walk around loads to level them up faster? Just a thought.. :nervous:

Crobat June 1st, 2010 5:08 AM

i looked on the help thread but it really didnt help with ev training tbh..

i have a zubat, gastly, and a treecko. i was told for zubat max his speed and his attk, and do speed and spec attk for gastly and treecko.

they all have pokerus and i can get the ev helping items like anklets and stuff from the battle dome.

now if i take crobat for example, and i give him 10 carbos to raise his speed up to 100 EV, then i give him power anklet. and i fight magikarps. 1 + 4(anklet) x 2(pokerus) = 10 spd ev per magikarp right? so 16 magikarps will give me 252 speed ev right?

once i have my 252 speed ev.. when i lvl up, do i have to repeat this process again? or do they keep the ev and just keep lvling up

No, you only need to do it once. But you won't get all the stats bonuses immediately; you will (automatically) slowy get those on your way to 100 (and by level 100 you will have all the stat bonuses).

Yep. Pokerus doubles whatever EVs you get after you add in items. If you fought Staravias for example, it would be (2+4)x2 = 12 EVs per Staravia. 152/12 = 12 2/3 Staravia you'd need to kill.
With Magikarp, it's (1+4)x2 = 10 EVs per kill; 152/10 = 15 1/5 Magikarps.

I have just reached Lugia and I have tried around 6 times to catch it but I keep failing :(
I use electric moves to bring its health right down to the lowest HP I can then I try using Ultra balls & normal Pokéballs to catch it , yet it doesn't work . I have came soo close many times . Can anyone suggest something else that I can do please ?

killzone92 June 1st, 2010 7:25 AM

you have a few ways.
Use dusk balls, since you are in a cave its effect should be maximum.
You can also send out a slow pokemon and use fast balls on it. I did this with mewtwo and I caught it with my first one.
Also try to cripple it. Paralyze, sleep etc

SiReNzZ June 1st, 2010 7:28 AM

Thanks very much for the help :)
If you exit the cave to purchase some Duskballs , will Lugia still be there when I return ??

This types are super-effective against Dark Pokémon: Dark and Bug type.

^Don't forget about the Fighting Type as well - that too is strong against Dark. And...Dark isn't super-effective against Dark. =P

Simple question guys, what level do you think i should level my Growlithe at? I was thinking before 39 since i want to learn ExtremeSpeed.

Alexeon June 1st, 2010 8:20 PM

Well, it really depends on your final moveset. Though since I'm the one who bred it for you (xD), I know you already have Flare Blitz. Unless you need Crunch, Agility, or Heat Wave, I'd say evolving early is not a problem. But as for when to evolve for Extremespeed, keep in mind you can use a Heart Scale to relearn it if you evolve it into Arcanine passed level 39. So don't worry about missing out on that move...just worry about what of Growlithe's moves you might miss out on if you evolve too early.

Well, you can always use a TM to learn Flamethrower, but I guess having Growlithe learn it via level-up would save you from dealing with the Game Corner. -_-

And you may want to look into Fire Blast and Overheat as well. Just need to think about what's more important for your Arcanine: reliability or power?

in the more realistic region of johto, im gonna have to say:
rematches as often as possible& grind like hell mate lol
the highest pokemon are in mount silver, and the best trainers are in kanto, so i guess just fight as many as you can, rematch as much as possible, and grind that mountain to dust lol ^_^

Only way to breed them is to breed them with something in its evolution line (e.g. meganium and another meganium of opposite genders), or something in its egg group (with it being female, as any offspring are of the species of the mother), and it with a Ditto (any gender will do). There's no way to do it without actually having a Pokemon in that line though.

It's a Metagross. You can find a Beldum which is its pre-evolution in the Safari Zone or in the PokéWalker Winner's Path.

This has all the locations of the three rods.

Thanks. guys. Also I was wondering is there a way to catch Charmander, bulbasaur, and squirtle. I want treckco. Where can these other pokemon be found?

jigglyppuff8 June 2nd, 2010 2:31 PM

You have a choice of either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle after beating Red at Mt. Silver. Only one. Just go to Oak's Lab in Pallet town after you beat him. Same with Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip except it will be from Steven Stone in the Silph Co. building in Saffron.

You can get Heart Scales by smashing rocks.

EJ June 2nd, 2010 7:00 PM

You do have to keep getting heart scales. They can also be purchased at the Pokeathlon Shop.

For quite some time I've been thinking "Will I be able to trade Gen V Pokemon to my HG/SS?" and now i'm curious of what others think about this. I mean they just came out with HG/SS and so soon they come out with a new generation. Any opinions?

ltsang June 3rd, 2010 3:55 PM

I have a question. Does pidgetto not know wing attack? I've been waiting for it to learn wing attack? My pidgetto is at lvl 31. Also I just found another heart scale using rock smash in the rock tunnel. I don't know what to do with my heart scale. I've tried to give it to Mr. Pokemon on Cherroygrove city and he's not accepting it. Does anyone know what to do with this heart scale? I would like some answers please. Thanks.

Christopher June 3rd, 2010 4:03 PM

your too late to learn wing attack and heart scales are given to the move tutor in blackthorn

If I don't catch the roaming Legendary Pokémon and faint them, will I be able to catch them later in the game? Or are they are gone forever? I heard somewhere that you can catch them if you re-battle the Elite Four again, just wanting to be sure.

ltsang June 3rd, 2010 4:34 PM

I did everything else in the kanto. The only places I haven't gone is pewter city, Viridian City, pallet town and cinnabar Island. I do not know what to do next. I'm currently stuck. Can anyone help me? Thanks. I met pidgey at level 15. lol. I should've meet him in level 5. I'll catch pidgey again in the morning and retrain him.

You can rebattle the elite four for fun. I do it in the in yellow version long time ago.

Christopher June 3rd, 2010 6:29 PM

you have to wake up snorlax go through diglett cave to pewter than battle the rest of the leaders Brock,Blaine then Blue then on to mt.Silver to battle red he's high leveled though

@Eeohnex I know Suicune will return to the burned tower if you K.O it then rebattle the E4 but I do not know about the roamers I think you are out of luck

shookie June 3rd, 2010 6:36 PM

The roamers will respawn in their starting location after you beat the Elite Four, assuming you fainted them the first time you saw them. If you catch them, they won't reappear.

Ok, I saw it at Burned Tower, Cianwood City, outside Mt. Mortar, as well as Vermilion City and Route 14. Misty's also back at the Gym. So why is Suicune not at Route 25 even after all that? HELP!!!!!!!!!!! and fast!

Suicune is finally seen on Route 25 after Misty has returned back to her gym, next to Bill's House. If not, then check the Burnt Tower after you have defeated the Elite Four.

Well, thanks, but I asked why is it not there, even after I saw it everywhere else and cut Misty's date short. Do I need all eight Kanto Badges? Do I need to beat Misty? What?

Also, keep in mind I haven't even battled Suicune yet.

If I'm right, you need to beat Misty first, then do the power plant quest if you haven't done it.
