Oh wow, the man in the goldenrod tunnel gives them away? He always gives me annoying useless items. and I've done it so many times already that most of them he tells me that I didn't win.

I only have the 3 pal park backdrops.

How do I wake up snorlax? Where do I get the radio pokeflute? Can anyone help me?

From Vermillion, go north to Saffron then east to Lavander Town. A man in the Kanto Radio Tower there will give you an upgrade for the radio, and the Pokeflute channel is up the top of the tuner. play it when you go to see Snorlax, then talk to it. Be ready though, he's hard as nails.

Ok I went to pewter city to defeat the gym leader brock. I tried going to the cinnabar island to defeat the gym leader, but I don't have rock climb. Does anyone know where to get it? Also I've tried to go to cerulina city to defeat misty, but she isn't there. I couldn't find her anywhere. Another is that I found Gary Oak as blue, but he won't let me defeat him because I only got 5 badges in the kanto region. Please I need help.

EDit: Also I've been thinking. I don't have the pokewalker right now, but when I get one I wanted to trade a pokemon from heart gold to soul silver by using a pokewalker. Is that possible with a pokewalker. Let me know. Thanks.

You can't trade Pokémon with the PokéWalker.

ltsang June 4th, 2010 7:05 PM

Oh pidgeot learn wing attack at level 38. Also I was wondering where can I get a tailo and caterpi. I really missed talio. Sorry if I spelled the name wrong. The game I got is soul silver.

Christopher June 4th, 2010 7:21 PM

taillow is only obtainable in game after you get rock climb or you can pal park it caterpie can be caught many places in HG but only in the nat park in SS and I think some secret trees

Aaron40 June 4th, 2010 11:39 PM

OI! do not insult scizors, its NOT worthless, maybe you should use it before you make false assumptions.

Christopher June 5th, 2010 12:56 AM

I use scizor I already have a scizor that is level 78 thats why that event is worthless to me and I am sure that most everyone has a scizor most should be past 50 all I am really saying is THAT is the event we get from the phantom champion Zoroark? I would enjoy it much more if it was something like....Zoroark anyway I apologize if I offended any scizor users out there it is a great pokemon overused but great

Just beat the Elite Four and it'll show up where it was originally located. That includes the red Gyarados as well.
Of course once you catch them you can beat the Elite Four all you want and they won't reappear.

Flare Riqueza June 5th, 2010 8:29 AM

Hey guys, can I evolve the Spring 2010 Pikachu-Coloured-Pichu?

Please, give me a straight answer. Not "I think", I want somebody who has evolved theirs, or somebody who has given it 100+ of Daisy's Massages, held a Soothe Bell, walked the whole of Kanto with it, and it still hasn't evolved, no matter what they've tried.

Otherwise I will doubt you, sorry.

EDIT: Also, if I hunt down and kill defeat Raikou and Entei, do they re-appear at the Burned Tower, like Suicune will if I defeat it, after I've defeated the Elite Four?

fcpremixer June 5th, 2010 10:04 AM

i traded for a beldum in heart gold, and it didnt evolve when its supposed to, but it has 3 evolves. if it didnt evolve for the second evolution, can it still evolve into the third?

i think this is confusing tho, hopefully any of u can understand this question.
thanks,
fcpremixer

Flare Riqueza June 5th, 2010 10:08 AM

No, you have to evolve Beldum into Metang for it to evolve into Metagross.

Is it holding an Everstone? If it is, you need to remove it.

Everybody look up and reply to my question about Pichu!

ltsang June 5th, 2010 11:11 AM

Hi. I was wondering how many time does it takes you to defeat blue. All my pokemon is below level 60. Its all in the 50's one 40's and 24, and 8. lol Well I need help defeating blue's pidgeot.

Where do you find the old ledgendary birds? Like articuno, Zaptos, and moltress. Also mewtwo, and mew.

Flare Riqueza June 5th, 2010 11:26 AM

Articuno | Seafoam Islands below the gym.
Zapdos | Outside the Power Plant
Moltres | Mt. Silver. e.g. defeat Blue first.
Mewtwo | Cerulean Cave
Mew | Wi-fi Event sometime this year, hopefully

It does evolve, and when it does, you can still activate the event. I did it for my cousin and neither of us own AR or anything like that.

Yep.

Flare Riqueza June 5th, 2010 11:54 AM

Seriously? That's brilliant, thanks!

Just checking, they stay at lv.40, right? And they stay there to battle you? So I don't have to chase them, and I just need a Marowak with False Swipe really.

its level 31, and it had a dawn stone

Flare Riqueza June 5th, 2010 12:01 PM

It might be hacked?

I honestly have no idea if it's a legitimate Beldum, as I know of no non-evolving event Beldum.

Also, @ Shookie: How comes on Bulbapedia, it only mentions you can get Suicune if you defeated it earlier?

Uuhh...that's a good question! I know all "unique" Pokémon (red Gyarados, Snorlax, Sudowoodo, etc.) reappear after you beat the Elite Four if you failed to catch them the first time. Assuming you faint everything, having all of the Pokémon bar Entei/Raikou/[email protected] reappear seems kinda dumb. I haven't actually done this yet in SS, so somebody who has can probably give you a better answer S:

it was from Steven Stone in the Sliph Co. building if you trade a forretress with him.

Did you press B? Is it holding Everstone NOW? (Dawn Stone means that you got it from Steven) Is it hacked? We need accurate details, and I mean to the DOT.

Christopher June 5th, 2010 6:09 PM

If you got it in-game from steven It can't be hacked but if you got it from the GTS or a friend they may have made it using a pokesav to look like stevens beldum

Oh Hawt Dayum June 5th, 2010 6:48 PM

Sorry, But he said he did get it from Steven.

Christopher June 5th, 2010 6:58 PM

then asking if it is hacked is ridiculous the game gave it to you it can't be hacked

okay that aside if it refuses to evolve breed it to a ditto and evolve that one it could be a bug but I've never heard of it

fcpremixer June 5th, 2010 7:39 PM

umm its not hacked, and it doesnt have anything equipped right now...

Just have the pikachu colored pichu walking with you go to ilex forest and go in front of the shrine and click on it. The spiky eared pichu will pop out from behind the shrine. I did this about a month ago and it worked.

Okay... I have two words, and two words only.

CLAIR'S. KINGDRA.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAEGASDFASDFHGASHFAKDFKLASFHJ

With a lot of grinding, I got my underleveled team to beat her Dragonairs and Gyarados... but that Kingdra is just OHKO'ing my whole team with freaking Dragon Pulse and Hydro Pump AWDFLKJASHDFK

I've lost four times to that cow now. My main problem is the fact that there is absolutely nowhere to train level 35-40 Pokemon in Johto, and so it takes half an hour to level up my Gyarados once...

Any strategies? Clair's getting as bad as Whitney for me...

Kingdra is weak to only Dragon type moves, so you will be having a hard time trying to beat her if you don't have any Dragon Types yourself. I managed to do it without but that's only because I only used my starter pokemon so it was quite a high level..

Flare Riqueza June 6th, 2010 6:13 AM

Toxic+ Wish + Protect.

So...yeah, get yourself a Togetic/Kiss man. Make sure it knows Wish, get it taught Protect.

Get something else faster than Kingdra with Toxic. Or that can take one hit.

Toxic.
Switch for Togetic/Kiss once fainted
Wish
Protect
Wish
Protect

through stall, you can beat it.

ltsang June 6th, 2010 6:40 AM

Ok Today I decide I wanted to fight ash ketchup from pallet town. His pikachu is in the 88's and all my pokemon is no where near that high level. I guess I gotta keep fighting the elite 4 and level up my pokemon. I love leveling it up. Any beat ash yet if so what pokemon you use.

it doesnt matter what you use, but you can easily find pokemon to do effective damage to his pokemon. pikachu at the beginning has a light ball, so if you have a tm (i forgot what it is called) that swaps or steals the pikachus light ball, itll help a lot if you have lower leveled pokemon.

Flare Riqueza June 6th, 2010 9:11 AM

Yeah, the tm in question is TM46 Thief.

I currently have one, so I know you can find one in Johto pre-E4. Look in your bag, you should have it. However it only works if your pokemon isn't holding an item.

Another Idea would be to transfer pokemon to a Diamond/Pearl/Platinum game if you have one. There are much stronger trainers, such as your rival in Platinum, who, at one point, is stronger than the G/S/C Red. You'll level up easily in those games.

Arolu June 6th, 2010 9:14 AM

Well, I want to evolve my Weepinbell into Victreebel but, I just have one issue; Will my Victreebel be able to 'relearn' and learn the moves it would of had, if it were a Weepinbell?

Sorry if this sounded confusing... o_o;

Aww bless, his last name is Ketchum dear not Ketchup unless you was being sarci (I really am rubbish with sarcasm)

And it doesn't matter about levels really, well maybe it does a little but it's more about move type. His Pikachu is weak against Ground attacks, Snorlax - Fighting attack, Lapras - Electric, Venusaur - Fire, Flying, Ground, Bug would be super effective.
Charizard - Electric, Rock, Water would be super effective.
Blastoise - Electric, Grass would be super effective.

:)

ltsang June 6th, 2010 11:16 AM

I have another question. Does the elite 4 pokemon changes? Because I went back to fight the elite again for the 3rd time. They're pokemon changes and it is an higher form of level. I was like wow. Arg! I want a grass type, but I don't want a bellsprout. Does anyone know any good grass type in SS?

Ok. I'm trying to catch zaptos. He is too powerful. I did weaken him to his lowest with raikou thunder attack. Then he still have a lot of strength left. Why? Can any help me catch zaptos? I use ultra balls and pokeballs to catch him.

Flare Riqueza June 6th, 2010 11:23 AM

1. Yes, their pokemon change, as, by your post, you have already discovered.

2. Capture a Hoppip. It evolves into Skiploom, then Jumpluff.(not sure on that spelling). It's Grass/Flying, so Pryce WILL murder it, but it's cool. Chikorita's also good, and if you capture a Gloom on Route 48, then you can get either Vileplume or Bellossom, the latter of which I find adorable.

3. Put him to sleep, do what you've done, and get something with False Swipe aswell. That way it can be at 1hp, sleeping. That's the best you can do.
You can also get Timer Balls, which I'm sure you can get somewhere.....so if it drags on for about 40 turns, you can use them and they'll be really good. If you have a lv.100, once you've put it to sleep and weakened it, send that out, and Level Balls would work well. I think Heavy Balls generally work on legendaries too.

Mental people.

There are many good grass-types, such as Bellsprout, Chikorita, Bulbasaur, Treecko, Oddish, and way more if you look in your Pokedex.

Zapdos, not Zaptos. Okay, even at 1-2% HP left, you have a 2.4% chance of capturing Zapdos, so you need 48 Ultra Balls on average. If you're using Pokeballs, you have a 0.8% chance of capturing Zapdos and you'll need 121 Pokeballs on average. Why? Zapdos has a capture rate of 3.

Get him to 1HP with False Swipe, make him asleep and you have a 4.36% chance of capturing Zapdos, nearly twice as much as before (if using Ultra Balls)

to catch pokemon the best: to catch pretty much ANYONE most of the time, just change the time to night and buy like 1000 dusk balls, then change the time back :)

this isnt about pokemon, but can you save your font and colors? if u can then how?

I Dont what i should do!!

Xyrin June 6th, 2010 3:57 PM

For what? We need to know more details.

bobandbill June 6th, 2010 4:12 PM

As I said in your previous thread, please use the Help Thread sticky for asking questions in. *merges* Also there's this thread here: http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=198838 - it's the Trade Corner's Daily Chit Chat thread so that would likely be of even more help to you than here which is more for HGSS style questions rather than trading questions.

And it's up to you really... as said though - what are you trading it for? That and note that shiny Pokemon tend to be rather rare (1 in 8192 chance to be exact), so it'd only really be worth if the trade is for another shiny pokemon for instance...but up to you in the end.

Jerme June 6th, 2010 4:45 PM

It was R/B/Y/FR/LG that had the two Snorlax, where GSC and hence HGSS only have the one Snorlax.

For some reason I do not like flying pokemon. Is there another way to get around besides having a flying pokemon in your party. The flying pokemon I have is lugia. For some reason I do not like him. The moves I taught it is fly, hydro pump, aeroblast, and I just taught it psychic, It is at level 50 for the moment. I need some help on what moves to teach lugia. can anyone help me? Thanks.

Obtain a Lucky egg. You can do this by catching wild Chansey, but the easier way is to buy one with the MOD shop on FR/LG/R/S/E and transfer it. The Lucky egg will make your Pokemon level up twice as fast.

Can you find national dex pokemon pre-national dex ingame on the pokewalker, such as winner's path? I wants a beldum.
Ty in advance.

Yes. I only have four badges on my SS game, but found a Munchlax on my Pokewalker. Their Pokedex number will just be "???", and they won't be able to evolve into Hoenn-or-Sinnoh-based Pokemon until you have the National Dex. So, say, Munchlax can evolve into Snorlax, but Beldum can't evolve into Metang until you have the National Dex.

ltsang June 7th, 2010 12:22 PM

I couldn't catch a lavitar in Safari zone or the mt silver. I couldn't find one in mt silver. I found a bunch of female lavitar in the safari zone. How do you catch lavitar in the safari zone without weaken it. I have already tried to give it some bait. But it is difficult to catch. arg.

Wi-Fi trouble

Hello.
I'm having trouble connecting to the wifi on HG.

I use a Ds-i. I can use the internet on the browser and on flipnote.
But when I confirm my WEP it says its incorrect when I know that it is.

Is this just my DS? j:

Really? I remember reading that Beldum could evolve into Metang even without the national dex in HGSS...hmm.

Larvitar is in Mt Silver - it's just rare. (The encounter rate jumps to 10% though at the top of it). And with the safari zone it's just luck - it is hard to catch is all.

metalflygon08 June 7th, 2010 6:48 PM

Yes Beldum will evolve into Metang b4 national dex, My hall of Fame has a metang for my 1st try.

Astinus June 7th, 2010 9:41 PM

Bizarre that they changed that from the way it was in the third generation. I remember having to wait until the National Dex was received before Pokemon could evolve. I would have thought that they kept it that way. My apologies for spreading misinformation.

To add on to what bobandbill said about the Safari Zone, throwing bait makes the Pokemon less likely to run, but harder to catch. Throwing mud, on the other hand, makes the Pokemon more likely to run but easier to catch. It's still just easier to have luck and patience on your side.

Is your WEP key all in capitals? If so you have to input it all in capitals.. and is your interent compatible with the DS Wi-Fi on pokemon.. cos it's not on mine :( Even though it lets me browse the interent on my DSi via my interent.. tis very stupid :cross-eye

I might have the same problem. What is the error code you get?

ltsang June 8th, 2010 6:25 AM

Can someone explain what is an EV? How do you train it? I've also ran out of room where to find some trainers to train my pokemon.

Edit: Today is is Tuesday the bug contest right. The guy over at the desk say you can only have 1 pokemon with you. Am I right. Well I deposit all my strong pokemon in the pc and took out my gloom which I'm planning on training in the future. Right now my gloom is at level 22. So it should be no problem with sleep powder. :D Well anyways I was wondering what time of day does the bug contest lady shows up. I went there they wouldn't let me participate. I was like wow.

Hi, I was basically wondering which move would be better to face Lance with, either Blizzard or Ice Beam. This is only because the last ten times I went up against him he just OHKOed all of my Pokemon.

This guide covers pretty much everything about Effort Values.

Ice Beam has an accuracy of 100% and a Power of 95, which is pretty good. And compared to Blizzard, it has an accuracy of 75% but a Power of 120. So as you can see the Power in Blizzard is by 25 more than Ice Beam but the accuracy is less than Ice Beam by 25. So it's really up to you, in my personal opinion I would choose Ice Beam because I know 100% of the time it's going to hit and compared to Blizzard, 1/4 times it's going to miss.

You need to wait for a swarm on Route 27.

You can find them at route 27, but only during a swarm.
Heart Scales can also be found by smashing rocks at Dark Cave and Cianwood, and on various Pokewalker routes too. (Like Beautiful Beach.)

EDIT: Oh, beaten...two times. Well, this sums all up :)

Does anyone still have there starter pokemon in there party? I'm planning on replacing it with a water type or an ice type pokemon. Since feraligator doesn't know much water type moves in ss.

Thanks. Also I was wondering if the move Thunder was worth having? By the way I decided to use Blizzard as it seemed more powerful.

It has the same Power as Blizzard but it has an accuracy of 70%. It's one of the three most powerful moves of electric type. It's a pretty good move having 10 PP but the accuracy doesn't help that much.

Flare Riqueza June 8th, 2010 1:05 PM

Depends. If you use Rain Dance, it's 100% accuracy.

Handy against Red Gyarados if you use the PCPichu (jolly nature puts down the power, so it nearly OHKOs with mine, at least)

ltsang June 8th, 2010 2:52 PM

My Riakou knows thunder. I'm planning on getting rid of superpower on feraligator. Teach it icebeam.

i say put rain dance on the raikou if you can. and instead of ice beam, give it ice punch or ice bite, unless your feraligatr somehow has insanley high special ttack

If I breed a Milotic with [insert Pokemon], will I get a Milotic egg or a Feebas egg?

You'll get a Feebas egg, although Feebas is a bit of pain if you want to evolve it into a Milotic.

Wait... Milotic is a 50/50 gender pokemon, so it can be either female or male. If you breed female Milotic with male [insert pokemon from same egg group], you'll get a Feebas egg. But if your Milotic is male, you'll have to breed it with a female [insert pokemon], so you won't get a Feebas egg.

feebass are dramatically easier to evolve in HG/SS then in any previous generation thanks to Daisy oak her massages and DS Clock manipulation and I'm not sure but I think the hair cut brothers raise happiness too but I am unsure
