You don't have some kind of disability or anything? Maybe it messed with your depth perception or something if the screen is up close to your face.

I've never had a problem like that though, even after a long time. Most I've ever heard of is seizures.

Zeph. March 30th, 2010 8:42 AM

I've had a DS (and recently a DSi) for 4 years now and nothing like that has ever happened. Maybe your head is just sensative or something. Besides, there is a warning about epilepsy and stuff.

Kikaito plush March 30th, 2010 8:42 AM

only thing that happen to me is my hand fallen asleep..

KieronGames March 30th, 2010 8:43 AM

mentally dizzy is my word for dizzy i think it was just not used to it so WARNING: If NOT used to staring at a DSi screen for 4 hours dont do that or else you get mentally dizzy

donavannj March 30th, 2010 8:43 AM

You also may have had it too close to your face. There is such a thing, you know.

Zeph. March 30th, 2010 8:46 AM

And, let's be honest - it's just diziness. It's not like your having seizures or fainting.

NarutoActor March 30th, 2010 8:46 AM

I only get dizzy from guitar hero the room starts moving down. o.o

KieronGames March 30th, 2010 8:47 AM

hey i wasnt worrying i was giving a warning :D

Feign March 30th, 2010 8:54 AM

And that is why they have that disclaimer when you first turn on the DSi (that EVERYONE IGNORES!).

Different people have different tolerances to that sort of thing.

And different people park the screen different distances from their face.

It's a good idea to have it at least 6 inches (about 15 centimeters) from your face.

Legobricks March 30th, 2010 9:34 AM

Huh, naw, I've played Advance Wars and Pokemon for at least six hours straight many a time. I grew up watching a screen though... god I feel so empty. What ever happened to playing in the streets or down by the brook...

Ray Maverick March 30th, 2010 9:46 AM

I was staring at it 7 hours and I didn't even have a headache afterwards.

RTHookers March 30th, 2010 9:52 AM

So, you're encouraging us to play more?

..Or did you mean "NEVER stare at your DSi screen for more than 4 hours"

Code March 30th, 2010 9:53 AM

Sorry, bro. There is already that warning. Says you have to take a break from gaming every 15-30 minutes. [/Is the nerd who actually read the safety manual. XD]

But yeah, I've stared at gaming screens longer. [/Is proving more and more nerdy. XD]

I think the best thing to do is a 10-15 minute break per hour, but I seldom do that unless I'm playing all day.

Daeva Okami-Luca March 30th, 2010 10:05 AM

I've played MPH for at least 14 hours before, yeah you're like..."Where am I..?" after a bit, but I get that after reading or watching tv too...

Izzy1179 March 30th, 2010 11:30 AM

You probably had it too close to your face.I've never had any problems.

Shiiny Pikachu March 30th, 2010 11:56 AM

You probably had it too close to your eyes (what everyone else said)

robobbiebob March 30th, 2010 12:07 PM

your ment to only play an hour and have a 10 mins break!

.little monster March 30th, 2010 12:15 PM

Who honestly cares? That only happens to people who are sensitive to light changes. That wont happen to the average person unless your sick or weak.

TrinityLimit March 30th, 2010 12:48 PM

...what happens if you have stare'd at a ds for more then +4 hours? :3

aha, yepp, that little warning is solely for this purpose ^^

although, i never follow it :P

Sora's Nobody March 30th, 2010 1:20 PM

What!? Ive done like 12 hours in a row XD Vacations... Sigh!

kraine March 30th, 2010 1:28 PM

Urg. Staring at anything, even books, for 4 hours gives me a headache!

ChrisTom March 30th, 2010 1:36 PM

Meh. The worst that ever happens to me is that I'll get crosseyed for a bit. But I agree that you should take breaks every once in a while. It does get addicting, and it almost feels like your in that world when you're playing it...

Yusshin March 30th, 2010 1:38 PM

For every hour of concentration, you need a fifteen minute break. This includes video games, homework, surfing the 'Net, etc.

Also, dim your DS or computer screen to its lowest level, especially if you're sitting in the dark. It won't strain your eyes as badly then.

This put a single word with a tune in my head.

DRUGS!!!

XDDDDDDDDD

Guy March 30th, 2010 1:39 PM

Um...This really isn't about HG/SS and to be honest I don't think it's needed either.

That said...
