What Language Version of HGSS Did You Buy?

What language version do you have / did you buy?

I waited an extra day and a half to have my French-Canadian copy shipped to my door in express mail :] The translation is really well-done, although Kanto = farmer accent. I think that's funny, though.

LilacArcanine April 6th, 2010 1:06 AM

I just play the English language version :D

The only "farmers accent" we got is the dude at the MooMoo Farm :D

Master Kavar April 6th, 2010 2:59 AM

i baught and played the english one ofcourse heh

SuperStaraptor121 April 6th, 2010 3:01 AM

100% English. I dont even talk Japanese. But all the wait*gosh* it felt like forever

Tox April 6th, 2010 3:06 AM

I bought the English translation. I'd be screwed if I tried to complete the game in any other language. xD I don't bother pre-ordering anything or buying online. I just go to the shop the day it comes out. :P

StormerEcho April 6th, 2010 3:13 AM

I got the Japanese SS because I didn't want to wait for the games. I of course couldn't read it but I knew everything I had to do. Then I got English HG and am done with that in like less than 2 weeks.

~Gary~ April 6th, 2010 3:18 AM

English of course....I cannot understand and read Japanese

Famastar April 6th, 2010 3:20 AM

English, like the most people here. Japanese is just unreadable.

minchan April 6th, 2010 3:20 AM

I bought the Japanese version of Soul Silver first, before the English version was released. I also bought the English version of both games, once they were released. I don't actually speak Japanese but I know enough to have enjoyed playing the Japanese version. I'm not sure which I like better, though. (Japanese or English)

LilacArcanine April 6th, 2010 3:21 AM

My Japanese is of course next to non-existant so I wouldn't even go NEAR the Japanese versions without 9000 dictionaries :D

curiousnathan April 6th, 2010 3:36 AM

Same as some other people, 100% english, although i can speak some italian, lebanese and turkish. But not fluently.

Chimchar 9 April 6th, 2010 4:01 AM

Well I brought both HG&SS in English, but at the minute I'm playing HG. Then I'll start SS.

Katie_Q April 6th, 2010 4:05 AM

English. I can't read japanese. If my school had a japanese class (Like that cool school in the city) I'd take it. I did have a version of the original gold that was half japanese, but I didn't get far in even the english pokemon games soo...

Pikachu-dance! April 6th, 2010 4:38 AM

I got the japanese soul silver and the only word i could read was Hoothoot but then pre-ordered English heart gold and english soul silver.

560cool. April 6th, 2010 4:47 AM

European English Version . I looove the green 3 in the corner and the shiny boxart !
Like most Europeans, I usually try to get the US one befor our release . And I've been to Austria on the 26th, just when TRU got a shipment of the games ... but they were in german and I had to wait till the 2nd April (when I got it) :) . But I'm thanked with it and the only in-game difference is the fact that it doesn't say "Online Interactions Not Rated By The ESRB" at the beggining .

Ninja Caterpie April 6th, 2010 4:48 AM

I can play the Japanese versions easily - Pokemon's easy!

I mean, all you need to know is what the Pokemon look like, what the moves are and "YES" and "NO". =D

But I got the English anyway.

Sup3rSuzaku April 6th, 2010 4:54 AM

English =] I love the good ol usa

Serris April 6th, 2010 5:09 AM

I was actually gonna buy an American one, but I pre-ordered an Australian one before the American ones got imported here. So I wasn't going to spend another $60-$70 again for a game I was getting a couple of days after.

blueblur155 April 6th, 2010 5:31 AM

Why, English of course. I barely can speak some spanish, let alone Japapnese.

Kirkland April 6th, 2010 6:10 AM

The english one. c: The only other language I can pick up and understand some of whats going on is Spanish. But I think I´ll stick to my first language for now. XD

pockeyfox April 6th, 2010 6:33 AM

I play the English version. I was able to play the real Japanese version from my friend, which was funny because it took us forever to figure out that professor Elm's assistant wasn't in the pokemon center anymore

Hybrid Trainer April 6th, 2010 6:36 AM

Englsih European, took me an extra day to find it but it was worth it, for some reason it worked better for me.

Kokuo April 6th, 2010 6:43 AM

I have the English version of both HG and SS as well as a Japanese version of HG.

Eeohnex April 6th, 2010 7:48 AM

I bought both SS/HG in English, I can't understand Japanese at all. I'm currently playing SS, then I will start with HG.
