ソラ April 11th, 2010 10:20 AM

I bought the imports of HG/SS when they released to Japan.
Then I bought both HG/SS again in the English version :3

Kanto_Johto April 11th, 2010 10:20 AM

Waited for it. I'm not as impatient as most of you lot.

Amaru April 11th, 2010 10:20 AM

I was never big on buying Jap games, so I waited till it came out in NA.

Eeohnex April 11th, 2010 11:17 AM

I waited for the English version to come out, I'm pretty patient so that was not a problem. As I can't read Japanese I thought it would take all the fun out of the game, because I wouldn't understand a single thing, so I got both SS/HG in English.

Saxisai April 11th, 2010 11:28 AM

I bought the Japanese version of Heart Gold from Play-Asia and I bought both Heart Gold and Soul Silver when they came out in the US.

Pojosama April 11th, 2010 11:32 AM

Waited for mine . Final fantasy 13 helped :P

Gulpin April 11th, 2010 12:13 PM

I waited for the English versions so that I could enjoy Johto in my language.

Dullstar April 11th, 2010 12:50 PM

I waited for it to be in my language, although I did try out the Japanese version from someone who had it.

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ April 11th, 2010 1:14 PM

The game had been out for about two weeks here in the US before I bought it. I waited until GameStop had a special offer on used trade-ins before getting mine.

Arriex April 11th, 2010 1:18 PM

I'm not into Pokemon enough to play a game in japanese. xD
I didn't even know when the games came out, but I think I got my soulsilver about a week after it came out in the US.

shroud April 11th, 2010 2:31 PM

I debated over buying the Jap version or not. I could have easily asked a relative over there to get it for me. The only thing that stopped me was the fact that they would want to hear from me about my life and what not. So i waited. :3

MegaSlowBro. April 11th, 2010 2:48 PM

I was going to buy the imported version of SS, but since my Japanese isn't really good, I waited for the english version =p I might get the japanese version later (when I have a better grasp of japanese)

Jaames April 11th, 2010 2:49 PM

waited for it. i dont like playing pokemon if i cant understand what the people are saying and what attacks my pokemon learn

TechnoSparkX April 11th, 2010 3:41 PM

waited id rather play a game in my own language english

Hypno April 11th, 2010 3:44 PM

When I found out they were remaking one, that's when I bought my DS Lite, since this is my favorite handheld game, so while I waited for it I got Platinum to see if it that game was as a big of a dissapointment like Ruby and Sapphire where which it was not.

So yeah, I waited for the English version.

FlameBlazeFury April 11th, 2010 5:16 PM

Waited i played the Japanese Version had no idea what to do so i just waited untill the english Version came out.

RivalGator April 11th, 2010 6:38 PM

I was extremely impatient for it, but I didn't want to ruin the surprise by playing through the game and not being able to read or understand a damn word of it. That seems kind of stupid if you ask me. So I just waited.

EJ April 11th, 2010 6:40 PM

I have patience but I figured why wait even more for a game that I've been waiting for a while now.

I have the Japanese HG.

darkshiek April 11th, 2010 6:42 PM

I "bought" the Japanese games... was pretty easy since I've played through G/S/C so many times. Only one or two parts I had no idea what to do at (Why would they move the Prof. Assistant into the Pokemart? Why?!), and so I Walked through Walls a bit.

And then I bought a legit HeartGold.

BHwolfgang April 11th, 2010 6:48 PM

I cannot interpret Japanese, nor do I have anyone else to tell me what to do. It would rather be wise to wait for the American release. At least it's in a language that I can read and understand.

It might've been easy playing HeartGold and SoulSilver in Japanese. I've played the original enough times to remember where to go and people to battle. However, if it's a new region, I would be screwed.

Fire-Red April 11th, 2010 10:16 PM

I cannot speak Japanese so the Japanese version would have been useless to me, I waited.

Eurydice April 11th, 2010 10:25 PM

i waited for it to come out here, because i didnt have a job and the games were my bday presents from my parents

hyperblast81 April 12th, 2010 9:14 AM

I waited for them in the US for no apparent reason......

Master Kim April 12th, 2010 9:16 AM

I waited. I don't speak a hint of Japanese.

Eon-Rider April 12th, 2010 9:21 AM

I pirated the Japanese version and gave up at the Lake of Rage and later pirated the US version and gave up at the Pokemon League. I then bought the Australian version and proceeded to beat the whole game.
