Experience Share

i'm finally getting the hand of breeding and EV training and such, small quick question.

i'm using my squad to dominate the elite four, and letting my "trainee" piggyback by not fighting at all, but by just levelling through the Exp. Share item. does it share the EV's as well?

i'm hoping not..

Yes, Exp. Share does in fact share EVs, but instead of splitting them like it does for experience points, it gives the full amount to each Pokemon.

It doesn't split the exp. points. :\ It gives the pokemon it's attached to a full share. If your pokemon were to say split 1300 points of exp. between them, teh pokemon that Exp. Share is equipped to will recieve an additional 1300 points. Or so I've learned form experience.

Why should it share Evs? From my understanding, Evs are only recieved by actively participating in teh battle, as if you were aiming for exp. without teh exp. share. but if that pokemon just sits in the back and never faces that pokemon then theoretically that pokemon EXP. Share is on should not recieve an ev points.

This is true. Whenever your pokemon gains EXP. points, it will gain some sort of EVs along with it.

The one exception is the day care, since the points are given with no opponent pokemon to calculate EVs.

*agrees with Pogiforce*

Although it seems to be...messed up, the piggyback does gain EVs (I'm just saying that cause...majority rules!). This coulda gone in Simple Questions...
