Do you think Ash still carries Pikachu's Pokeball?

Well we all know Pikachu hates being inside a pokeball [so says the first episode]. So what do you think Ash did with Pikachu's Pokeball?

I think he has it in a special place, a keepsake if you will call it. Or maybe he just threw it in a river seeing that he wont need it.

He probably just gave it back to Prof. Oak during his adventure to become the Pokemon Master. lol.

xJordan360 April 27th, 2010 3:53 PM

I'm pretty sure he used it in one episode in the early seasons, when he tried to get Pikachu inside it because they were freezing to death on a mountain and he wanted Pikachu to be warm.

Izanagi April 27th, 2010 4:02 PM

Yeah, I remember that episode. But, on topic, I think he still caries it around as a keepsake. Just like how he carries around the other half of the broken Pokeball he obtained back when he was fishing (against) Gary.

Velvex the Øverlørd April 27th, 2010 5:13 PM

It'd be smart to carry it around, in case another situation like the one xJordan explained occurs.

Shiny Heracross April 28th, 2010 8:55 PM

Why not? It would make sense to keep it in case he needed it.

Safetyfirst April 28th, 2010 10:21 PM

He sold it on eBay for a Deoxys

Fxcking Tatertots April 28th, 2010 11:27 PM

He most likely kept it as a memento. :]

I agree.

Considering that Ash used to collect all things Pokemon-related and considering he kept half a Poke Ball that reminds him of his rivalry with Gary, I would think that he would definitely keep the Poke Ball that Pikachu had come in.

I can see him encountering situations where he might want Pikachu back in the ball for protection so I can see him carrying it around no matter what.

He seems to me the sort who would be a bit sentimental in that way.

Ketchumall April 29th, 2010 4:32 AM

He kept it, you actually see that in "Snow way out!" he tries to get Pikachu to go into his pokeball so that Pikachu will stay warm, I have a feeling even now in D/P he still has it just in case he ever needs it.

Okami Chi April 29th, 2010 4:37 AM

Didn't Ash tell Pikachu to go back into his Pokeball when he was battling Paul? Remember? Right after Pikachu got hit with hammer arm (not ringing a bell? Got hit so hard that he was flung into the lake.) Ash told him to take a nice long rest, I was almost sure he put him into a Pokeball. Didn't he use also when Piplup and Pikachu were in love? Maybe I'm insane but I would say that he still had it.

Id say he keeps it just in case.

I know he didn't use it when Piplup and Pikachu were in love because I just saw that one today. Ash held onto Pikachu as Dawn put Piplup into his pokeball.

yes

I'm pretty sure Ash still carries around Pikachu's Pokéball-he probably is required to have it by law.

Illekn April 29th, 2010 6:51 PM

Yes. I mean, why wouldn't he? For one, it is a very nostalgic item, and two.. you never know when you might need it.

Porygon-Z April 29th, 2010 6:58 PM

Well since he can only carry six pokemon including pikachu, we have to assume he still has it.

When he tried to catch a seventh, for example the first krabby he caught, it went to prof. oak so he must have six active pokeballs on his person, pikachu's included.

Scales April 29th, 2010 9:20 PM

I like to believe he used it on one of the dozens of pokemon he catches and forgets about a season later.

Ash still caries pikachu pokeball somewhere... probably under his hat!

I wouldn't be surprised if the writers have Ash pull out Pikahu's pokeball out of nowhere. I say Ash carries it with him, just in case.

WriteThemWrong May 1st, 2010 8:45 PM

i think ash would respect pikachu's choice to not be in its poke ball but he probably would carry it around just in case but i don't think pikachu would get in knowing ash was going to be in trouble by himself

what i really want to know is how does he toss a random ball from his belt and instantly know whos in it? sometimes he looks at it and totodile was in a lure ball but most of the time he just tosses one out and know whos in it

Volroc May 1st, 2010 11:43 PM

Im sure Ash has it in his backpack in case of an emergency
thats wat i would do :4:

Bare in mind, logic doesn't really exist in the Pokemon world.

I don't really need to list examples do I?

Fithboy May 2nd, 2010 5:42 AM

He trys to use it in his very first Gym battle against Brock.

Andrew McKenzie May 2nd, 2010 8:12 AM

If he didn't have it with him, it'd be similar to him being able to visit one of his Pokemon at the Lab whilst having a team of Six.

But seeing as he can only have six Pokemon with him, one of which is Pikachu, he must have the Pokeball in his bag, or on his belt.
It's with him somewhere anyway.

Pokegirl98 May 2nd, 2010 10:11 AM

Yeah, he probably has it. He's tried to return Pika in a number of episodes (previously mentioned) and probably keeps it in case a similar need arises.

But I wouldn't be suprised if they're falling off a cliff or something like that and goes to return Pika for saftey, and after searching his belt/bag, exlaims, "Oh, no! I lost your pokeball, Pikachu!" *they'd still survive the fall anyway cough cough*
