Who watched this fantastic movie?
I saw the movie, but I read the book first. I love this movie :] Information |
I was actually thinking about this recently when I was discussing movies based on novels. I read the book a few years ago, I must have been 11 or 12 but I think it was one of the first books that ever encaptured me within it's paper bindings.
I seen the movie afterwards however, I enjoyed that a quite a lot also. It was one of Shia's first lead roles and was probably that step towards his sucess that he's reached with his career and assisted getting his lead role in films such as Transformers. I would recommend the book to anyone who enjoys an innocent but stunning novel which is pretty flexible in terms of age and maturity amongst readers. Though I would suggest it more so to someone before hitting their teens as from a personal experiance, that's where I enjoyed it. Good movie and a great book, it was a platform for what became my interest in reading, it was a slightly maturing read for someone who was nearing their early teens but it bridged a gap between comic books and classic novels for me. |
Read the book, seen the film, loved it all. :D
I still have my old year 7 English workbooks where we studied it. Zero was my favourite! |
I read the book and watched the movie back in '03. I haven't seen it in ages, but I enjoyed it quite a lot.
|
Wow, is the movie really that old?!
I might have seen it a year or two after it came out, because I don't think I would have remembered watching when I was 11 or 12. I thought it was a pretty good movie. Never really knew it was a book first. I'd probably by it for my future kid(s) to watch, if they still have TVs that connect to DVD players by then. :p |
I watched it a couple of years ago in school, I can't remember much from it though.
|
Wow it's been awhile since I've seen that movie. Honestly, I can't remember anything except the main character's full name was a palindrome. Stanley Yelnats I think.
|
Wow, it's been forever since I've seen that movie. I love it though. I read the book after I saw the movie when it first came out, and I loved that too. I wanna watch the movie again now. :P
|
I don't remember enjoying the movie very much, but I only saw it once and that was when it was in theatres. So it's been a while and I might just be mistaking apathy from years gone by as dislike. XD;
I loved the book, though. We read it for school in grade 7 and while we started reading it in class, I went home that night and finished the book. I read much faster than everyone else so each time we had "in class reading", I'd read ahead again. I must've read the book 3 or 4 times that month and I still read it every few years. :] It's an excellent novel. n_n |
