I think they're going to stretch this further than twelve episodes.

Because this is pretty much the perfect place for them to add fillers. Sorry, but I really can't view them in any other light xD;

Really now, not only could they make up interaction and events before the arc itself starts, but they could very well add more "character development" with the Xcution members (I can definitely see Orihime and Riruka in an episode), similar to the mini fillers with Hitsugaya and the others in Arrancar arc. I think arcs like Turn back the pendulum and Deicide were a little too serious for them to add fillers in, but bear in mind they spammed filler right after.

So with that in mind, plus them stretching out battles like they usually do, I think we're looking at at least seventeen episodes.

But I might be really, really wrong :P

Spoiler:
Yeah, probably. Especially since Kubo is really going to try and pick up the pace (to bring up Bleach from its slump), and the animators might want to drag it out so Kubo can start the "proper" arc. Then again, they might also want to go through it quickly, because they know how badly it was recieved. The former is more likely, though.

I'd laugh if it comes out to 14-15 episodes; exactly between us.

Manga hasn't come out. The scanlators are always on time with big manga, like One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. Last week was Obon.

I was more pissed about missing out on my weekly dose of Penguinz but yeah, bad timing to bring *spoiler* and *Spoilers spoiler spoilers* back considering there's no chapter next week to follow up smoothly.

Anyway, this weeks filler episode was brought to you by the letter S for

FINE THEN, FUDGE THE ANIME. AND MY THOUGHTS ON IT.
CHAAAAAAPTEEEERRRR
Spoiler:
Bleach humour. Yay :D

NEW DESIGNS. ALL OF THEM. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE LOGIC IS IN THIS, BUT THEY ALL HAVE NEW DESIGNS :D:D:D:D:D:D

Now imagining Ichigo screaming "ZETSUBOU SHITA!".

And you know what? I'm not even going to start ranting about the logic of the other ones giving Ichigo reiatsu and him being immensily strong and all that jazz. Kubo can just have it the way he wants.

Ginjo yells that Ichigo's attack ins't enough to damage him.
Did he forget that Urahara, Isshin, Rukia, Ikkaku, Byakuya and all the others are present? That doesn't seem like something you'd overlook.

Also, looked up fullbring.

--> "Fullbringers each have a parent who was attacked by a Hollow before they were born"
--> Ichigo's father is an experienced Shinigami.

Well played, Kubo. Well played.

I like Pokemon (...) August 17th, 2011 7:52 AM

Spoiler:

This chapter was AWESOME!

I like the splash page. Seeing Rukia in colour again is always nice.

Ah, that kick. Kubo's gone back to his usual writing style again. But I'm glad. That "YOU WERE CRYING LIKE A SISSY!!!!" line really kind of hit it home, though.

Aha, don't interrupt Rukia XD

I think Renji looks the same.
Byakuya has a different style Haori (his got destroyed, right?) and his hair is slightly different (that hairpiece isn't there) and he doesn't have the scarf.
Hitsugaya grew an inch! Oh, no, wait, he's standing on a ledge... His hair is more similar to when he was a kid, I think.
Kenpachi no longer has those massive spikes XD.
Ikkaku... Just looks a bit more muscular. But his right arm looks kind of weird.
Looks like Ikkaku and Renji didn't become captains, then :/

Okay, so we have 3 captains and 3 lieutenants (Ikkaku is definitely Lieutenant-level) giving Ichigo some of his reiatsu. Surely his body must have some kind of explosion with all the reiatsu suddenly going into him.

Kubo loves the word "despair". Ulquiorra used it all the time "Look, Kurosaki. This is true despair." and Rukia used it 3 times here...

What is it with Ichigo gaining new powers, and always suddenly becoming a badass? A few seconds ago he was crying, and now he's like "...are you an idiot?"

Alright, it looks like Ginjou will die from that. But will Tsukishima also be hit and killed? I guess it depends on whether Kubo wants to give him any lines. Also - if Ginjou and Tsukishima die - this will be the first time that Ichigo has killed someone, right? Hollows don't count because technically they're "purified" (and I think all the ones that he's done are brainless). And of the Arrancars, Dordoni was killed by an Exequias, Grimmjow was chopped down by Nnoitra, Ulquiorra faded into ash, and... those are the only ones that he fought. I think.

Butyeah. It looks like now that the fighting has started, either Kubo will go with the "kill Ginjou and Tsukishima quickly and move on", or "give them a proper ending" (the later of which could drag on for a few more chapters). From there... Probably some humour with Kenpachi wanting to slash down Ichigo to test out his new powers. But then, I don't know.

And obviously, the 3 Captains, 3 Lieutenants, and 2 ex-captains won't join in on the fight at all.

Also, Pokestick, the logic is that now he has a TON of reiatsu (with everyone chipping in a bit), so he's back to where he was, or even better.

And Ginjou explained that a Fullbring was "Half Hollow-Half Human" in the same way that Ichigo was "Half Shinigami-Half Human" (which is why Ichigo can take their powers - and vice versa, it seems). Rasen and I discussed the "a parents being attacked", and scientifically, it makes more sense for the mother to be attacked, because then her eggs would have reiatsu in them, which could be passed down (as opposed to the father, who would get new sperm every whenever. And we know they do, because some people are born in Soul Society - mostly nobles, I think). How Ichigo got Fullbring powers... I don't even.

Oh me and my questioning and oh you and your explaining.

Spoiler:
So I'm guessing there's still at least a couple of chapters till we get to see SS again.

Spoiler:
Almost definitely. We first have to finish off Ginjou and Tsukishima, and explain everything behind them (how do they know about Ichigo and Isshin and Urahara? Why do they want to kill him so much?) - as well as maybe a bit more explanation on Isshin and Urahara in general. We also need to find out about the rest of XCution - we don't know if they were against Ichigo right from the beginning, or not.

And then, it depends on how Kubo wants to shift the focus. He can stay on Ichigo (and do... what?) or go to Soul Society (and again, do... what?)

The scene with all of the captains/vice captains, I could literally hear the fangirls screaming when Hitsugaya and Byakuya turned up on the same page.

That wasn't Gesuga *****, that was just air....*Flashback to Ichigo's trolling of Aizen when he was in his FGT stage one. And the new GT looks like it'd cut you in half, noice.

Glad to see the comic relief with Rukia and Ichigo XD
And Urahara knew about Tsukishima. I wonder how.

"He can change your past, but not your future." Awesome quote :3

A sword Urahara prepared for Ichigo... Meaning it's not Isshin's after all.

OH MY GOD. New appearances! Hitsugaya looks cooler. No pun intended ILPy is right, he looks like his younger version. And Byakuya has a new haori? Though I was kinda expecting Renji to be wearing a haori as well.

Though I wonder, did they do this with Soul Society's permission? I mean, it being against the law and all. Though yeah, since how they might consider Ichigo as Soul Society's savior and all.

Aaaaaand, payback time. Yay.

Ahhh no. I hope this doesn't extend into a whole long arc. >.>
Spoiler:
I had hoped this would be kinda like a filler, idk. But yeah, because now that the shinigami are back, fullbring seems... lame. XD We still need to see a lot of explanation with the shinigami wouldn't mind seeing a few more bankai and I think, if Kubo really wants to continue with this Fullbring arc, he'll have to bring in a whole bunch more of Fullbringers because the current XCution members trying to fight against the whole Soul Society would be very, very absurd. Unless what Pokestick mentioned below happens. XD

AWWWWWWW YEAAHHHH

These chapters had begun to bore me a bit before today. So, so epic.

Spoiler:

The redesigns are pretty awesome, but I sort of expected some new captain vacancies to be filled by some of the lieutenants present, but we have yet to see the new and improved Gotei 13. Also, maybe we'll find out if there were any Vizard survivors.

Spoiler:
The empty captain slots will obviously be filled by completely new characters. Because Kubo needs new characters for his epic ratings to come!

And I can kind of see how Renji and Ikkaku are still lieutenants, since they want to stick with their captain and blah blah blah pride and idek. Renji and his bankai are probably still considered inexperienced too (and I guess the same goes for Ikkaku), and apparently not everyone can be "child geniuses" like Hitsugaya.

From experience, saying the new Gotei 13 would be improved in any way (politically) would be naive (I know you didn't mean politically, but xD). Because no matter how much the current system proves itself to be bad, it's kept. Through basically the same methods tyrants use. I have power, and I use it to keep the power to myself.

I was wondering that as well. I dunno what'll happen, but even if they still are under the effects, it could also turn out that since they would know of all the shinigami who just came to Ichigo's aide, and they trust them, so they may realize that they have been tricked. But that is all up in the air for now...

As did I, but it looks like Pokestick will probably be right - new captains. Or - and this is a very big or - some Vaizards fill in the seats, under the rule that they aren't allowed to use their Hollow powers. Very, very unlikely though.

As for Vaizard survivors, no good guy died. At all. Even Hiyori and Hinamori survived. Gin might still be alive, too.

I'm sure Urahara has an answer to that.

But this is part of the reason why I don't want Tsukishima to run off - but if he does, and Urahara doesn't have an answer, Pikapal's idea is the most likely.

Fangirls love Shiro-chan because he's Shiro-chan. That's simply all there is to it. XD

LOL

Anyway.

I dunno if Tsukishima and Ginjou will be killed in the next few chapters. I was under the impression they'd get away, and Ichigo and friends go to the SS and think of a plan... But hey, Kubo's tricked me before, and I think he might just do it again. XD He's pretty good at that, if you ask me. I kinda wanna see all the other SS characters again. Wonder how Momo's doing. I hope she's okay. I also want to see... Well, everyone of some kind of importance. Except Omaeda. I could go the rest of Bleach without ever seeing him again, and I'd be happy. XD Ooohhh I'm mean. LOL

Oh BTW... Tomorrow (August 20) I move into the dorms for college. So I'll be a lot less active, sadly. I'll drop by every now and then, but life comes first. I figure I should let you guys know. I'll try not to disappear for too long, and drop in somewhat often though.

Spoiler:

This is the only page we have of Rangiku and Gin
She talks about how all the other times he disappeared, he never left anything, and how it's a good thing that he didn't, because then she would be stuck in the same spot.

To me, it sounds rather vague and ambiguous. She's reminiscing about the past, but you could apply it now, too (that he has disappeared, and didn't leave anything). In that case, "disappearing" can either mean metaphorically (he died), or literally he went somewhere without a trace.

Also, in his previous appearance, he says he can "hit the trail". Again, this can mean "go somewhere", or "die". Even if it means the latter, it doesn't necessarily means he did die. People sometimes think they'll die, but end up getting healed/treated/whatever.

I think Kubo could get away with bringing him back, but at the same time, can call him dead. Depends on if he wants to do anything (like Grimmjow, Nel, sort-of Ulquiorra...).

Bleach.Wikia says nothing on his status of alive/deceased.

If he does, I guess we've all just been Kubo-trolled :P

And while I really don't believe Grimmjow or Ulqiorra will return (Nelliel is a possibiliy, though), I guess the fans would want it enough for Kubo to eventually consider it xD

It sucks how the Central 46 isn't exactly on the forgiving side, or even on the admitting they were wrong-side. Because Having Urahara and the Vaizards back as captains would really be sweet :P

Even then, though, part of the reason why we have so many different possible translations (which reminds me - I haven't checked any other groups' translations for that line), language is unfortunately never 1-to-1 exact. So even if we looked at the Japanese, we might have a slightly better understanding, but we'd probably still be in the same problem.

I like Pokemon (...) August 21st, 2011 8:15 AM

Remember those Battle Data Charts that most of us have made? I decided to play around with the numbers a bit. I’ll rank everyone based on each stat and the total; I’ll calculate the “average rank” of everybody, and I’ll also calculate the area of each chart. I’ll do the same for the Canon Gotei 13 as well.

Ranking:
Spoiler:
http://oi51.tinypic.com/2dagcqq.jpg
An image comparing all the numbers of everyone’s charts. They are ordered by squad then rank (which is why Rasen and Cyber both come before smile!).

Before I rank everyone by each stat, I want to do some averaging – to see what the average member’s total would be, and if each stat was equal, what each stat would be. We have 2 members with quite low averages (because they aren’t Captains) – CyberBlaziken and Kamiya-chan. However, we also have Zameric who (being Head Captain) is quite a bit above everyone else. When we average out their total, we get 470 (473 rounded down) which is just below a weak captain. But if we average each of the stats, and round them up and down to the nearest multiple of 10 (so we get numbers like 90, 80, 70, etc.), the total becomes 480 – which is a weak captain. So because they kind of average out, I shall keep them in.

So if we take the average of all eleven totals, we get 490 (486.36). If the stats were all equal, they would be about 80 (81.06), but perhaps with one 90 stat somewhere. It doesn’t add up exactly because I’ve rounded quite heavily, but you get the point. From here, we can compare how everyone does against the “average”. As a note, the 80 figure will be called the “Rounded Average” for comparison.

Offense:
Spoiler:
1. Zameric (100)
=1. Merciless Cremator (100)
=1. Live_Wire466 (100)
=1. Minchan (100)
5. Rasencero (90)
6. Graceful (80)
=6. Pikapal642 (80)
=6. Kamiya-chan (80)
=6. CyberBlaziken (80)
10. I like Pokemon (…) (70)
11. smile! (60)

Total Offense: 940
Average Offense: 90 (85.45)
Rounded Average: 80 (81.06)
Number of people above Rounded Average: 5
Number of people equal to the Rounded Average: 4
Number of people below Rounded Average: 2

Quite simply, all I did was rank each member by their offense. If anyone shared the same spot, then they have an = next to their rank, and are ordered by the squad that they’re in.

As a club, Offense is one of our strongest stats – in fact; it is the stat with the most number of 100s in it, with four. However, we have only one person with 90 (Rasencero), and a lot of people with 80. We just about make it to the round-off mark, though, and round up to 90.

Defense:
Spoiler:
1. Zameric (80)
=1. Graceful (80)
=1. Smile! (80)
4. Pikapal642 (70)
=4. Minchan (70)

=4. Rasencero (70)
=4. CyberBlaziken (70)
9. Live_Wire (60)
=9. Kamiya-chan (60)
11. Merciless Cremator (50)

Total Defence: 760
Average Defence: 70 (69.09)
Rounded Average: 80 (81.06)
Number of people above Rounded Average: 0
Number of people equal to the Rounded Average: 3
Number of people below Rounded Average: 8

Defence is by far our worst stat – it is 70 points below our second worst stat! We have no one with more than 80 defence, and five people with 70 Defence, with more people having a Defence below the Rounded Average than equal to and above it.

Mobility:
Spoiler:
1. Merciless Cremator (100)
=1. Live_Wire466 (100)
=1. Pikapal642 (100)
4. Zameric (90)

7. Graceful (80)
=7. I like Pokemon (…) (80)
9. minchan (70)
=9. Rasencero (70)
=9. CyberBlaziken (70)

Total Mobility: 940
Average Mobility: 90 (85.45)
Rounded Average: 80 (81.06)
Number of people above Rounded Average: 6
Number of people equal to the Rounded Average: 2
Number of people below Rounded Average: 3

Oddly enough, our total for Mobility is exactly the same as our total for Offense – but this time, despite having one fewer 100, we have two more 90s, and half as many 80s – though we have those three 70s. Overall, we’re quite fast and offensive, it seems. Also, Mobility is the only stat that doesn’t have a 60 or lower.

Kidou/Reiatsu:
Spoiler:
1. Graceful (100)

11. Merciless Cremator (60)

Total Kidou/Reiatsu: 950
Average Kidou/Reiatsu: 90 (86.36)
Rounded Average: 80 (81.06)
Number of people above Rounded Average: 7
Number of people equal to the Rounded Average: 2
Number of people below Rounded Average: 2

Our strongest stat – if only by 10 points. Here, more than half of us are stronger than the “Rounded Average” with seven being the highest out of all of our stats. With only two people equal to, and two people less than the Rounded Average, we seem to be Kidou Masters 8D.

As a Gotei 13, we seem to have quite high Intellect – having the most 90s in a stat (tied with Kidou/Reiatsu). However, with only 10 less total than Offense, we fall just below the rounding –up mark. It’s also the stat that Zameric scores the lowest in – 7th place.

Stamina:
Spoiler:
1. Zameric (90)
=1. Merciless Cremator (90)
=1. Pikapal642 (90)
4. minchan (80)

=4. CyberBlaziken (80)
7. Graceful (70)
=7. I like Pokemon (…) (70)
9. Live_Wire466 (60)

Total Stamina: 830
Average Stamina: 80 (75.45)
Rounded Average: 80 (81.06)
Number of people above Rounded Average: 3
Number of people equal to the Rounded Average: 3
Number of people below Rounded Average: 5

Stamina is our second worst stat, being 70 points above Defence (our worst stat), and 100 points below the next-highest stat (Intellect). This is because we have no one with 100, but we at least have three 90s.

2. minchan (510)
3. Graceful (500)
4. Merciless Cremator (490)

8. I like Pokemon (…) (480)
=8. Smile! (480)
10. Kamiya-chan (450)
11. CyberBlaziken (440)

Total Total: 5350
Average Total: 490 (486.36)
Number of people above Average: 3
Number of people equal to the Average: 4
Number of people below Average: 4

And so we come full circle. With just one person more that is below Average, than above Average, we just about make the round-off point up to 490.

Stat averages:
Spoiler:
If we take the stat average throughout (90/70/90/90/80/80) we find that this total (500) is just 10 points above the average Total (490). The stat that is the furthest from the rounding-off point, Intellect, can be dropped down a bit to make it fit the total:

Offense: 90
Defence: 70
Mobility: 90
Kidou/Reiatsu: 90
Intellect: 80
Stamina: 80
Total: 490

Quite interesting, no?

Rank Average:
Spoiler:
One thing I wanted to test out was what our average ranking is. For example, Zameric ranked: (1 [Offense] + 1 [Defence] + 4 [Mobility] + 4 [Kidou/Reiatsu] + 7 [Intellect] + 1 [Stamina] = 18) (18/6 = 3) so his ranking would be 3rd. What this means, though, is that a 90 Offense is different to a 90 Defence – the former would give you a rank of 5, the latter would give you a rank of 1.

On the left is their Average Rank after rounding, in the ( ) is their Average Rank before rounding (if two people have this equal, then they have an = besides the rank after rounding), and in the [ ] is their Stat Total.

3. Zameric (3) [530]
4. minchan (3.666…) [510]
4. Graceful (4.1666…) [500]
5. Merciless Cremator (4.666…) [490]
5. Pikapal642 (4.8333…) [490]
=5. Smile! (4.8333…) [480]
5. Live_Wire466 (5.1666…) [490]
=5. Rasencero (5.1666…) [490]
6. I like Pokemon (…) (5.5) [480]
7. Kamiya-chan (7) [450]
=7. CyberBlaziken (7) [440]

Smile!’s Rank Average is quite an interesting case – being above two people who have a higher total than he does.

A higher rank is not necessarily better than ranking low, though. For example, when you compare MC’s chart with Rasen’s chart, MC specialises towards 4 stats, while Rasen is more generalised towards them all.

I did exactly the same for the Canon Gotei 13 too. The only thing is, is that we have fewer stats (and not all of them are Captain stats), so I can’t compare us to the Canon Captains.

Canon Gotei 13:
Spoiler:
http://oi53.tinypic.com/2s8mjx2.jpg

A single image is so awesome. One thing to note – in the English translation, Kenpachi gets 199 Offense, instead of 100, to make up for his 0 Kidou/Reiatsu. I’ve simply rounded it to 200 – this will definitely affect the results.

Just like before – the average Captain’s total, as well as what the Rounded Average for each stat. It should be more interesting, because we now have a greater range of stats, as well as more stats (13 pieces of data, instead of 11). The average Captain has a total of 500 (498.46) [or 490 (490.77) if you have Zaraki with 100 Offense], with each stat having 80 (83.08) [or 81.79], but can probably get either a 100, or two 90s to make up for the bit taken off when I rounded. Just like before, I’ll call 80 the “Rounded Average”.

Offense:
Spoiler:
1. Zaraki (200)

9. Soi Fon (80)
=9. Gin (80)
=9. Hitsugaya (80)
12. Tousen (70)
=12. Mayuri (70)

Total Offense: 1250 [or 1150]
Average Offense: 100 (96.15) [or 90 (88.46)]
Rounded Average: 80 (83.08)
Number of people above Rounded Average: 8
Number of people equal to the Rounded Average: 3
Number of people below Rounded Average: 2

For the Total Offense and Average Offense, the numbers in the [ ] brackets are if you count Zaraki as having 100 Offense.

Like us, Offense is one of their greatest stat – partially because of Kenpachi’s 200 stat. Even without that, though, it is still the stat with the highest total, with more than half of the Gotei 13 having an Offense stat greater than the Rounded Average.

Defence:
Spoiler:
1. Yamamoto (100)
=1. Komamura (100)
3. Aizen (90)
=3. Shunsui (90)
=3. Ukitake (90)
6. Gin (80)

Average Defence: 80 (82.31)
Rounded Average: 80 (83.08)
Number of people above Rounded Average: 5
Number of people equal to the Rounded Average: 5
Number of people below Rounded Average: 3

The Canon Gotei 13 is quite defensive, and quite a lot of people have high in both Offense and Defence. Only Unohana, Soi Fon and Kenpachi having 20 points different- everyone else has either 10 points different, or are equal.

Mobility:
Spoiler:
1. Yamamoto (100)

Average Mobility: 80 (76.92)
Rounded Average: 80 (83.08)
Number of people above Rounded Average: 6
Number of people equal to the Rounded Average: 2
Number of people below Rounded Average: 5

Along with Defence, Mobility has the fewest 100s, with only 2, and the most 40s (the lowest stats used, excluding Kenpachi’s Kidou/Reiatsu).

Kidou/Reiatsu:
Spoiler:
1. Yamamoto (100)
=1. Unohana (100)
=1. Aizen (100)
=1. Shunsui (100)
=1. Mayuri (100)

=7. Hitsugaya (90)
10. Gin (80)
11. Soi Fon (60)
12. Komamura (50)
13. Zaraki (0).

Total Kidou/Reiatsu: 1060
Average Kidou/Reiatsu: 80 (81.54)
Rounded Average: 80 (83.08)
Number of people above Rounded Average: 9
Number of people equal to the Rounded Average: 1
Number of people below Rounded Average: 3

The Canon Gotei 13 is excellent at Kidou – having 6 people with 100s. Even with Kenpachi’s 0, they still get a good total.

Intellect:
Spoiler:
1. Yamamoto (100)
=1. Unohana (100)
=1. Aizen (100)
=1. Mayuri (100)
=1. Ukitake (100)
6. Byakuya (90)

=6. Tousen (90)
9. Gin (80)
=9. Komamura (80)
=9. Hitsugaya(80)
=12. Soi Fon (60)
13. Zaraki (50)

Total Intellect: 1120
Average Intellect: 90 (86.15)
Rounded Average: 80 (83.08)
Number of people above Rounded Average: 8
Number of people equal to the Rounded Average: 3
Number of people below Rounded Average: 2

There’s definitely a correlation between Kidou/Reiatsu and Intellect. Everyone with 100 in Intellect has a 100 in Kidou/Reiatsu. The only 100 Kidou/Reiatsu with 90 in Intellect is Shunsui. After that, everyone has the same Kidou/Reiatsu and Intellect, except for Komamura (50:80), Hitsugaya (90:80) and Kenpachi (0:50).

Rounded Average: 80 (81.15)

Number of people equal to the Rounded Average: 3
Number of people below Rounded Average: 6

Stamina is their worst stat – in fact, it’s the only one which doesn’t have a total greater than 1000. It has the third least amount of 100s (after Defence and Mobility), as well as the most 60s.

Average Total: 500 (498.46) [or 490 (490.77)]
Number of people above Average: 5
Number of people equal to the Average: 1
Number of people below Average: 7

Once again, we come full circle anyone dizzy yet?.

Another kind of interesting thing to note is their total – 6480. If we had a Head Captain with 600, and 12 Captains with 490 (never happening, but hypothetically…), then it would have the exact same total/Average. Alternatively, a Head Captain with 600, and 12 Captains with 470, would mean that altogether; we have an average of around 480.

Stat Averages:
Spoiler:
Luckily, none of the numbers end in 3 or 4, so I can very easily round entirely up or down, and still get a nice, good total at the end.

Offense: 100 (or 90)
Defence: 80
Mobility: 80
Kidou/Reiatsu: 80
Intellect: 90
Stamina: 80
Total: 510 (or 500)

Almost perfect.
Quite interesting, no?

Rank Averages:
Spoiler:
I think because the Canon Gotei 13 have a much larger spread of data, the rankings will be more separate (for example, the Club Gotei 13 had five people ranked 5, but they were almost all because of rounding). In this, I will be counting Zaraki as having 100 Offense (and therefore sharing a rank with Yamamoto and co.)

2. Aizen (2.333…) [3]
3. Yamamoto (2.5) [5]
4. Unohana (3.666…) [3]
5. Shunsui (4.5) [1]
6. Ukitake (5.5) [2]
6. Byakuya (6) [0]
=6. Komamura (6) [3]
7. Hitsugaya (6.5) [0]
8. Zaraki (7.5) [2]
8. Gin (7.666…) [0]
8. Soi Fon (7.8333…) [2]
8. Mayuri (8.1666…) [2]
9. Tousen (8.8332…) [0]

Like for us, on the left is the rank after rounding, in the ( ) is the rank before rounding, but in the [ ] is the number of 100s.
Ah – despite having the same total as Yamamoto, Aizen scores higher here because he was always in the top 5 – while Yamamoto was 10th because of his low stamina, despite being 1st in everything. I guess this shows that the more well-rounded people score higher – that is, as long as they have 100s practically everywhere. And Byakuya and Komamura have exactly the same ranking, despite Byakuya having 40 more points.

The reason why this disagrees with my previous "lower rank means more well-rounded" is simply because of the massive range in stats. Aizen and Yamamoto are just so high that they simply specialise in everything.

Sorry if I hurt anyone’s brain…

One thing that I figured would be quite interesting is the areas - for example, just because a person has a high total, doesn't necessarily mean that the amount that they cover is the best.

The meaning behind the areas is quite interesting – it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re “more powerful” or “more dangerous” or “stronger” just because you have a higher area. It just means that you have really high stats that are closer together – one thing I found out was that having, say, a 100 Offense and 100 Defence would give a higher area than 100 Offense and 100 Mobility (assuming all the other stats remain the same)

Areas:
Spoiler:
How I’m calculating the area:
Spoiler:
There’s maths, so I’ll try and make it as simple and easy to understand as I can.

http://zameric.webs.com/photos/BFC-BDCs/ZamBFCBDC-1.png

Each chart can be split into 6 triangles – the centre angle of each triangle is 60 degrees (because we split the centre into 6 equal pieces, so 360/6). The lengths of 2 of the sides of the triangles are the amount that the person has in each stat. And if we know 2 of the lengths of a triangle, and the angle that they meet, we can calculate its area using a formula.

For example, one of the triangles we can calculate using Zameric’s chart, is the Offense-Defence triangle. The length of the Offense is 100, the length of the Defence is 80, and the angle that they meet is 60 degrees. I just have to plug it in to my formula:

The formula is A*B*(Sin60)/2

Where A is one of the lengths, B is the length next to it (so Offense/Defence, Defence/Mobility, Mobility/Kidou-Reiatsu, Kidou-Reiatsu/Intellect, Intellect/Stamina, and Stamina/Offense).

So you have to calculate the area of each of the triangles (the six that I just listed), and add them together (with a bit of playing around, you can make the calculating easier for yourself. Or just ask me to do it for you).

The only thing is, Sin60 is an irrational number (the square root of 3 divided by 2 = SQRT3/2), which means the area will be irrational, and will have a bunch of decimals. So, I’m going to ignore that little “square root of 3” sign, and instead of multiplying by “sin60”, I will be dividing by 2 (which means the actual equation is A*B/4) – which means all areas are actually smaller than what they physically are, but they’re still proportional to each other (but it means that saying “I have 60 more area” isn’t TECHNICALLY correct, it’s “60*SQRT3”).

So if you wanted to calculate the area of a chart, and wanted to compare it to the areas of these charts, you just multiply 2 adjacent lengths together, and find a quarter of that result, and do this for every stat pair.

Specialised versus generalised:
Spoiler:
Before I do the actual charts, I wanted to see – assuming the same total, does the number of 100s, or even the spread of stats matter at all?

With a total of 480, we can either have:

80/80/80/80/80/80
– or zero 100s
100/100/70/70/70/70 – two 100s (would this be different to 100/70/100/70/70/70, or even 100/70/70/100/70/70?)
100/100/100/60/60/60 (three 100s– is this any different to 100/60/100/60/100/60?)
100/100/100/100/40/40 (four 100s – is this any different to 100/40/100/100/40/100?)

And, well, I can’t have any more 100s XD. The reason why I don’t have one 100, is because the other stats would be 76, which while I could do, it wouldn’t be legal according to Zam’s charts.

Does the number of 100s matter, if the total is the same? What about adjacent 100s, compared to spread out 100s? Just a note, “adjacent 100s” are two or more 100s that are next to each other, “semi-adjacent 100s” are 100s that only have one non-100 number between them, and “non-adjacent 100s” are 100s that have two or more non-100 numbers between them on both sides.

80/80/80/80/80/80 – or zero 100s
Area = 9600

100/100/70/70/70/70 – or two adjacent 100s
Area = 9675

100/70/100/70/70/70 – or two semi-adjacent 100s
Area = 9450

100/70/70/100/70/70 – or two non-adjacent 100
Area = 9450

100/100/100/60/60/60 – or three adjacent 100s

Area = 9800

100/60/100/60/100/60 – or three semi-adjacent 100s

Area = 9000

100/100/100/100/40/40 – or four adjacent 100s

Area = 9900

100/40/100/100/40/100 – or two adjacent 100s and two semi-adjacent 100s

Area = 9000

…Wow. It might not look it, but there is a big difference there. There’s a ten per cent increase from the last one, to the second last one – and they have EXACTLY the same number of 100s! The only difference was that having them next to each other got a higher result.

With only two 100s, having adjacent 100s got a higher area than having two semi-adjacent or non-adjacent.
With three 100s, being adjacent got 800 more points than semi-adjacent.
And with four 100s, having them altogether gets the highest area. So it looks like from the results, to get the highest area, you should specialise in a few stats that are next to each other.

Club Areas:
Spoiler:
Finally, the areas of everyone in the club. Next to them, I have the stat total for comparison.

1. Zameric (11, 675) [530]
2. minchan (10, 775) [510]
3. Graceful (10, 425) [500]
4. Rasencero (10, 000) [490]

9. Merciless Cremator (9625) [490]
10. Kamiya-chan (8400) [450]
11. CyberBlaziken (8025) [440]

Something I found VERY interesting was that smile! and Live had same area – but smile! has 10 fewer points. Also, MC has that 490 total, but both smile! and have a larger area than him. It’s all to do with the way that all the stats were distributed- something which would be unique to each person.

Canon Areas:
Spoiler:
And for the 13 canon captains:

1. Aizen (13, 025) (560)
2. Yamamoto (13, 000) (560)
3. Unohana (12, 150) (540)
4. Shunsui (11, 700) (530)
5. Zaraki w/ 200 (11, 450) (490)
6. Byakuya (10, 800) (510)
7. Hitsugaya (10, 425) 500)

12. Soi Fon (8600) (460)
13. Mayuri (7550) (430)

Looks like we do kind of spread out a bit.

…Yeah, now I’m bored again.

I think maybe later I’ll make some charts that show correlation between stats – like how with the Canon Gotei 13, if you have a high Intellect, you have a high Kidou/Reiatsu rank.

And yeah, as MC said, Zam can't get on PC forums for some reason.

0____0 Woah, that must have been a lot of work!

It was very interesting, though. I liked seeing, objectively, how we all rank. I noticed that I seem to be pretty much average in everything except Mobility and Stamina, which I realized, in reality, should be the opposite of who I really am. XD

thank you for typing this up Ilpeh. It was really interesting!

Pokestick, good times. August 23rd, 2011 9:49 AM

Anime.
Spoiler:
Animation a bit strange this week. Seems like they're being all artsy, having smudgy lines and more shades. The episode is also made a little bit different than they usually do. The dramaturgy of this episode, and well, the prevous two ones too, has been changed. They're trying something new - which they seem to be doing all the bloody time this arc :P

All in all, it feels like I'm watching something made by gainax xD

As much as I dislike how flashbacks are pulled of in Bleach, being all long and unneeded (especially those going back to something that has happened fifteen minutes ago), I found the Kageroza(?) backstory interesting. It's a man who has been neglected every time he's attempted something. Yeah, that totally makes everything he's done OK.

Ichigo's hollow IS still there? Ah come on. I mean if going by the logics of this filler, yeah, it makes sense, but my entire brain says "no".

*cool surrounding scene*

SO THAT's what they've been spending all their animation funds on this episode.
I guess having scenes of the kind that Kubo wouldn't make is tempting to them, so OK. Sure.

YORUICHI IS BACK! :D

More fancy zooming. If they can do it here, why does it look so awkward otherwise?

...OK, that third one didn't look as good. Now they all look like paper figurines.

And... Nel? I wouldn't say she had THAT of a huge role, but oh well. Still loving the credits.
Ahhh... Fighting the Espada. I actually liked those days... All that good, tasty animation...

And from the looks of it, Kageroza and Nozomi will in fact fuse next episode.

Urahara and Kon xD

And nice work on the charts (b'-')b

I thought the art was a bit strange this week, I think they should have kept bishie Ichigo from last week (or the week before) tbh. I guess they're playing with animation in this filler arc to work out what they want to do with the fullbring arc.

Spoiler:
Yeah, it is kind of stupid, just right after Kisuke said that they wouldn't be able to restore Ichigo's Hollow powers...
But maybe Kubo wouldn't let them write off Hichigo that easily.
I wonder what name Kubo refers to Hichigo with...does he use Hichgio personally?

Pokestick, good times. August 23rd, 2011 10:47 AM

Spoiler:
Anything for a good plot twist. Ichigo needs something to be wary about now that his powers are permanently back (until they disappear again) ;D

And I think the most official name is "The Hollow within Ichigo's conscience". Rolls of the tongue, doesn't it?

thank you for typing this up Ilpeh. It was really interesting!

Thanks, I'm glad to see you enjoyed it ^.^

The hard part was just the write up. Getting the data and organising it by Offense/whatever, even calculating the areas was easy. But writing took time x.x

HIchigo himself says "I have no name!" at least a few times. I'm not sure if it was Kubo himself that refers to him as "The Hollow within Ichigo's conscience", but at the very least, it's a descriptive title.

I just call him HIchigo simply because I don't want to type out "H. Ichigo", or "Hollow Ichigo", or "Hichigo" as a word (I think Ogihci is used sometimes).

-Jared- August 24th, 2011 7:30 AM

I didn't notice anything weird about the animation this week. 0__o I guess I'm not very observant. XD

I typically call him Hollow Ichigo, mainly because I have no qualms about typing it out. XD

Anime:

Spoiler:
I like that Kon is getting some character development here. I always wished he would get a little time in the spotlight. ^__^

So Ichigo's power's are still unstable. Just like before! :D

And the scene is set for an epic Captain vs. Captain battle! I can't wait. XD

Manga:

Spoiler:
Wait, he mentioned Hanatarou? It has been AGES since we even heard of him. I would have thought Ichigo would have forgotten about him as well. XD

Old Man Tsundere strikes again! XD I almost guarantee, when he shows up again and if it is when he is talking to Ichigo, he'll revert to "Psh, it was nothing" mode. XD

So Ginjo was the Substitute...hmm...And I still wanna see where Tsukishima has gone. They are really playing up Ginjo as the big bad here. :|

Weeaboo Name August 24th, 2011 7:50 AM

Manga. I seriously thought
Spoiler:
Ginjou would be gone and forgotten in a few chapters time, seems I was wrong about that one.

Anyway, Ichigo's base stats have all gone up it seems, the whole fullbring arc did have some other meaning other than introducing a couple of characters and padding out time.

Seems interesting for once, keep it up Kubo.

Pokestick, good times. August 24th, 2011 9:53 AM

Spoiler:
Using old images for all the characters, a nice touch actually. Hanatarou... sure. Why not.

...Wait. That doesn't sound like anything Soul Society would do. At all.
Oh, ok, Ichigo changed it all by "fighting". Actually makes it all worth it somehow :V

Ginjou, the old substitue shinigami. How old is he really?

And where the hell is Tsukishima.

I like Pokemon (...) August 24th, 2011 10:54 AM

LOL D Gray Man made me completely forget about the manga /bad fan.
Spoiler:
It feels like we're going back to short chapters again :/ I suppose though, that's because quite a few pages were just SLASH SLASH again. I guess it can't be helped; Kubo is still Kubo.

Ginjou completely shat his pants when Ichigo said "I missed. I won't again."

I like how Ginjou mentioned that it was his training that made him stronger - not only does it kind of show an irony in how the villain made the hero stronger (despite Ginjou not being a villain at the time), but it also doesn't make Ichigo's new strength PURELY because of the reiatsu.

Wow. That is definitely a lot of reiatsu. I wonder if they all just kind of gave a tiny amount, and it all built up together (because it's - what - 10 captains, 13 Lieutenants, at least 4 ex-Captains (Urahara, Isshin, Yoruichi and Shinji), maybe the rest of the Vaizards (which would make that 4 more captains, and 3 more Lieutenants). And Hanatarou. God damn.

Ah, so Ginjou was that Substitute Shinigami. At the very least, this arc isn't entirely ******** - Ukitake mentioned this when he gave the badge to Ichigo. Now, remember when Ginjou was explaining Tsukishima to Chad? There was a mention of a substitute Shinigami - perhaps Ginjou was talking about himself? Don't forget, he was Tsukishima-fied, so the story would be slightly off the truth.

Which might also mean that Ginjou has shinigami powers in addition to Fullbring powers. If so, this could be a good "final fight" (though what happened to Tsukishima?).

Yeah - it seems that Soul Society are at the very least, more relaxed to Ichigo. Whether or not that means Substitute Shinigami will be seen more often, might be a possibility. Alternatively, this could be one of those "Ichigo's a special case".

I thought it wasn't revealed that Urahara and the Vaizards were innocent up until the TBtP arc? In which case, they would be forgiven then, not when Aizen betrayed (hundreds of chapters ago), right?

And it's Urahara. He would probably prefer being the "the man on Earth" that supplies stuff like Soul Candy, giving info, etc. Plus, something tells me he's grown to enjoy his lifestyle.

I was under the impression that all flashbacks were done "out loud".

You're right there. Then again, it seems Komamura and Byakuya have slightly different haoris than normal - so perhaps Soul Society is being more fashionable.

Not every single Arrancar. I think only Gantennbaine (the orange-afro-haired Privaron that Chad fought), Grimmjow, Nel and co. and... that's it I think, are the only Arrancars that we don't know what happened to. Dordonni and Cirucci were killed by the exequias, and we saw all the Espadas deaths at least. Some Fraccions might still be unknown, though...

And yeah, we'll probably see the other Fullbringers soon, or at least have a mention to them.

minchan August 25th, 2011 9:04 AM

I'm in the dorms now, and this week's just orientation so I don't have much to do. I just read the chapter but I'm not caught up on anime or anything.

Anyway I just wanted to share my first impression of that ending of the chapter...
Spoiler:
"What the f*ck, really?" was my first impression on that. Granted, I did expect to see some kind of info on that first substitute shinigami in the coming chapters/arc, but I didn't actually expect it to be Ginjou...

On another note, I think it's pretty cool how the old man changed his ways. XD And how it really is all the captain class shinigami who gave their powers. That's pretty damn epic.

Anyway I have some more stuff to do in a little bit, so I might not post again for a little while. But just know I'll definitely be around from time to time, and I'll definitely try my best to stay updated. It's easier to reach me on Facebook, so if you have that, feel free to add me. I've seen the first 3 movies but waiting for a good HD release with good sub before I watch Hell Chapter. Tbh i'm not expecting much as only 1 of the Bleach films has been that good so far.

-Jared- August 27th, 2011 11:43 AM

On the topic of Hell movie, I watched it last night. I'll just say this: It wasn't exceptionally good, nor was it exceptionally bad, in my opinion.

And Lapras, what Bleach film was the best, in your opinion? I only remember watching the one with Senna, and even then, I don't actually remember much about that movie. XD

Weeaboo Name August 27th, 2011 12:31 PM

Yeah the one with Senna was my favourite, Memories of Nobody I believe. The other films were really meh imo.

Edit -

Watched Hell Chapter and it was pretty decent, better than the 2nd and 3rd films at least.

smile! August 28th, 2011 3:37 AM

Bleach movie? =D I liked them, but none are exceptionally good to me. But the 4th one is my least favorite. :<

Spoiler:
It doesn't really have that much of Soul Society inside. Just Byakuya and Hitsugaya, the two popular characters. I was seriously hoping to at least see Unohana. But she wasn't even in there :x And not to mention Renji used a weird technique that goes unexplained. And idk what is it with the animators and half-naked Ichigo. We had that TWICE. e.e And the same part of his shihakusho got ripped. I was like, WHAT? Not to mention this movie had fanservice with Rukia and tentacles and bondages

So, meh. At least in the previous movies, we saw quite a lot of Captain bankai. Here it's just Ichigo (first bankai was 13 minutes into the story, lol) and Renji.

Though I liked the fact that Rukia used Shirafune :P

Oh, I just got around to watching the latest episode. 8D
Spoiler:
I just wonder how they all were saved. >.> But meh, fights next episode!

matu August 28th, 2011 10:50 AM

I think Kubo has a thing for guys with their eyes covered. Second movie - Kusaka, Third movie - Shizuku and now in the fourth movie Shuren and Kokuto.

Weeaboo Name August 28th, 2011 10:52 AM

Kubo doesn't have anything to do with the movies, they're basically long filler episodes.

minchan August 28th, 2011 1:29 PM

GUYS. THIS PICTURE IS AWESOME. (IMO)

http://i.imgur.com/eCZXM.jpg

It shows the Bleach movie poster! (And also, it shows my favorite J-pop idol group, Morning Musume, on their new concert poster!!!)

I found this image posted on a forum dedicated to Hello! Project (the group of groups in which Morning Musume is a part of) and I wanted to share it here, too, since it nicely displays the Bleach movie poster. =)

I haven't had time to watch the actual movie yet though. Been busy with life, etc. But I'll probably get around to it eventually. ^o^

Pokestick, good times. August 29th, 2011 5:37 AM

The first film was my favourite. It was actually touching, which I guess they tried in the current filler arc too, but it's a rare sight in Bleach.

Second, bleh, just Hitsugaya being all cold and lonely.

Third, Rukia. Kind of similar to the second one, but I found it more interesting.

At least all of them have (relatively) good animation. That's what I see in the Bleach movies.
It's Bleach with high-quality animation. I couldn't be asking for more, if I wanted good plot then what the hell am I doing watching Bleach in the first place.

All I'm expecting from Hell Chapter is good fighting animation, and some cool environments (Hell anyone?).

So is there any good subs of it out yet or what? I'm gonna check on Nyaa when I finish this post, but still.

Weeaboo Name August 29th, 2011 7:42 AM

You're pretty much right about Hell Chapter although I thought the backgrounds/environments outside of Karakura Town were pretty lazy. D:

Pokestick, good times. August 29th, 2011 10:30 AM

Lazy like as they are in the series now, or lazy like even worse?

Weeaboo Name August 29th, 2011 10:38 AM

Not quite as bad as the series, I mean the penultimate battles before the aizen fight were in the sky....not that bad.

Pokestick, good times. August 29th, 2011 10:54 AM

I can't blame them, I prefer drawing skies and clouds a hundred times over drawing suburban environments.

Ooh, new anime:

Spoiler:
Ah, Kuukaku! It's been absolutely forever! XD I love that they used her, even if it was a bit of an asspull. XD

Ichigo can't contain the hollow. Who else saw that coming? >__<

It seems kinda funny that Urahara is sitting in a library, in broad daylight, in an all black tunic-thing. XD

Anyway, that aside, Unohana!! 8D I really, really hope they'll show the full fights of the R. Captains versus the original. XD And now you could kinda see why they cut the Byakuya vs R. Byakuya in the first place, because they're going to show it now? I hope. :P

Ah, okay, that's interesting - the rule was made because of Ginjou. Makes me wonder - what happened along the line?

Ah, okay, so it looks like we might get a flashback, or at least one chapter explaining the whole Ginjou thing.

"Why me sad" doesn't Kubo usually have kind of good English as his titles? Though looking at his previous titles, they weren't all perfect...

Ah, okay, so it seems her ~wuv~ for Ichigo helps her to overcome Trollkishima's power slightly, or at least have the gut instinct that something is wrong.

Trollkishima looks so creepy in one of the pages. Reminds me of Aizen.

Oopsy, he broke them. And once again, the non-shinigami have become USELESS.

Ahaha, I love Isshin's (only) line.

Oh? Looks like Riruka is still Tsundere for Ichigo.

So it looks like they all got a bit of Ichigo's powers. Tsukishima, Ginjou, Riruka, Yukio, Jackie and Giriko, versus Ichigo, Renji, Byakuya, Hitsugaya, Kenpachi, Ikkaku (and maybe Isshin and Urahara, but I think they'll do more behind-the-scenes work). I wonder who will fight who? My thoughts:
Ginjou - Ichigo (for obvious reasons)
Tsukishima - Byakuya (idk, they just seem to fit)
Yukio - Hitsugaya (kid versus kid)
But the others, I'm not so sure about...
Ohwait, where's Rukia? Perhaps she gets Sushigawara.

Well, an alright chapter. We got to see some of the other characters now (though what were they doing before...?), and it seems like we'll get to see Ichigo's powers in full.

Riruka may stay after the arc, as a good guy. Probably due to the fans love of her. XD

So, will this change the actual fullbrings of the fullbringers? Like will they have extra powers, or are they just enhanced?

Hey guys, sorry for not coming on in a while again.
It seems I still have problems getting on PC.
I'm guessing there's problems with whatever server I'm going through.

I'll comment about the new manga and anime in a little while.

Next up, new Battle Data Charts!
These are a bit different, 8 categories instead of 6.
  • Offense
  • Defense
  • Mobility
  • Kido
  • Spiritual Power
  • Intellect
  • Physical Strength
  • Stamina
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b5/customizer13/Battle%20Data%20Charts/ZamOctaBFCBDC.png

Like before, stats range from 0 to 100, in multiples of 10.
The new total is 800 instead of 600, as you can see.
There are charts for both captain and non-captain members.

Here are the new Battle Data Charts for the canon captains.
ILP and myself worked together to come up with their stats.
I you have any suggestion, please let us know.

Spoiler:

Manga

Urahara and Isshin are always good for comedy.
Moving on, I swear if they all become Captain class level fighters from this, I can't WAIT for their deaths.

What I'm talking about is the sharing Ichigo's fulllbringer power plotholepoint.

Way One: Think of Fullbring Ichigo's powers as 10000 EXp. Ginjou's sword swipe was Exp. all. Granting everyone an equal chunk of power/experience, with Ginjou being slightly ahead.

This method means that if their powers + a fraction of Ichigo's power, can fight captains on equal footing, then I call bull.

Way Two: The stat boost way. Fullbring Ichigo is now Ichigo with...a 6 level boosts to all his stats. Ginjou's swipe is a group version of Psych up, granting them all the SAME boost along their own powers.

This method makes me wis death upon them all in the horrible way possible. >.> Just how many logical things are defied in that method is not funny, just sad and horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE!

...moving.

Chad and Orihime are out of the fight, oh joy. >.>

New Chart!

[Offense: 100]
Since I'm manly and awesome, oh wait...serious explanation. I mainly use Haduka (Hand-to-Hand) in combat and thus am a lot stronger than I look.

[Mobility: 100]
In conjunction with my Haduka, I use HoHo-(Flash Step) as well to use my agility and speed to make my opponent nearly helpless battle. I can also make flash clones if necessary.

[Stamina: 100]
I trained my body to be able to last slug fests as well as to able to use all those moves and techniques in session without my movements become sluggish afterwords. I can fight for DAYS if necessary, but will most likely raid the kitchen after using the bathroom after the fight is over.

[Defense: 50]
I can take a damage if necessary but don't make a habit of it, I can don't really have to defend that much, thus this stat is low.

[Intelligence: 80]
I run the intelligence corps , thus this stat is average compared to Captains. I mainly focus on psychology and philosophy, so I am capable of breaking down my foe, interrogating them and able to view a situation in many different perspectives.

[Kido: 60]
Aside from kido spells and Shunko, I really have no need to use it, so I just average out.

[Spiritual Power: 70]
Yeah...focused more on direct combat than stuff using this.

[Physical Strength: 100]
Yay for rock crushing punches!

Total: 660/800

So Tsukishima can overload a person's memory until their brain ceases to function? Overpowered, much?

Riruka may stay after the arc, as a good guy. Probably due to the fans love of her. XD

So, will this change the actual fullbrings of the fullbringers? Like will they have extra powers, or are they just enhanced?

Spoiler:
I wonder why I didn't notice her o.o

This is the guy that can turn you against your friends in one cut. I don't think NOW was the best time to call OP :p

Riruka and Yukio are the most likely, I think.

Well, Ichigo's powers were, I think, enhanced speed and strength, no? I think it would make sense that if you take someone's powers, you can also do what they can do.

These are a bit different, 8 categories instead of 6.

Offense: 70, Because I'm not particularly offensive - if you look at my zanpakutou, I don't have any actual attacks, it's all abilities.

Defense: 70, For the same reasons as Offense. I'm the kind of person who, if given the choice, would rather stay back and analyse everything, and only go in when I feel confident that I don't have to do a whole lot.

Mobility: 80, Because my zanpakutou allows time to move slightly slower for me, I appear to move slightly faster even though I have only affected myself slightly.

Kidou: 100, I mainly use Kidou in my fights, both bakudo and hadou equally, as they are my way of both out-right attacking, and at helping restrict my opponents so I can cut them.

Reiatsu: 80, I am around average for this, as I do not have much reiatsu. While it is important for both Kidou and my zanpakutou, it is not something that I excel at.

Intellect: 100. This goes without saying, I am the Captain of the 12th Squad.

Physical Strength: 60. I am not physically very strong, having a very small build, and preferring to use my brain to my muscles.

Stamina: 80. I am average at this, as I can fight for quite a while, but not more than a few hours at a time.

Total: 640. The same as if you were perfectly average (captain standard) in every stat.

New Chart!

  • Offense: 70 :: I start out pretty low, but my Zanpakuto ability increases it, by a lot. I figured I would rank this as base offense.
  • Defense: 70 :: Defense really isn't my thing. It's good enough, but nothing special.
  • Mobility: 100 :: Gotta be agile to dance properly. :D
  • Kido: 70 :: Kido can be devastating with my ability, but it is pretty difficult to do properly.
  • Spiritual Power: 70 :: Nothing to see here, move along.
  • Intellect: 80 :: Only reason this is pretty high is the whole strategy of my zanpakuto comes from switching on and off of the beat of the song.
  • Physical Strength: 70 :: Mediocre. ^^
  • Stamina: 100 :: Gotta keep dancing! :D

I don't know why my list isn't in Palatino Linotype, but oh well. >__<

Pokestick, good times. September 2nd, 2011 1:35 AM

Spoiler:
I also get the feeling Kubo's gonna keep the most popular characters. Which likely means Riruka and Yukio.

Though he isn't as keen to keep bad guys as friends as a lot of other shounen artists (Hiro Mashima anyone?). I mean, he could've kept some of the Espada, like Grimmjow or Ulquiorra, since they were really popular characters who did have sort of a "good" side. But in the case of the Arrancar I guess Kubo really just wanted them to be given a dramatic backstory and killed.

With the Fullbring I guess it's a different story, as they started out as "friends". But since we don't know what Kubo has in mind for the coming arcs, it's difficult to speculate.

Yeah, I think him and Riruka are the more favourites of XCution. And yup, very few people die in Bleach (excluding Arrancar, obviously) - in fact, I wonder if Tsukishima and Ginjou will actually die, because, well, that's killing another person/human, as opposed to a Hollow.

Spoiler:
You have a point there, actually. Well, unless you include Soul Society as the villains of the first arc, in which case, you're horribly, horribly wrong :p

Don't forget, though, that Grimmjow isn't necessarily dead. He was slashed, we saw a panel of him grimacing, and that's it. And I'm still holding on to Ulquiorra's unusual death. Not to mention Nel and co.; we still don't know what's with them. If I remember right, Aaroniero, Grimmjow, Ulquiorra and Hallibel (though she doesn't count) were the only ones not killed by a Captain (though Aaroniero was killed by Rukia so...). Eh.

I think Ginjou, Tsukishima and the rest of XCution will be "dealt with" (whether that means killing them, turning them good, or letting them escape depends on what Kubo decides). Then Ginjou being a substitute Shinigami will be explained, and probably a flashback. Hopefully, more will be explained about Isshin and Urahara (though that's a bit of a stretch).

If I remember right, Kubo mentioned that after Aizen will be one short arc, and one long arc...?

I kinda had thought about that. Every enemy so far has been dead already. Ginjou and Tsukishima are currently alive, and killing a living human being would mean one has to go to Hell, right...? Unless it's more complicated than that. :\

Yeah, Kubo mentioned one short then one long arc. I wonder if by long he means Soul Society Long or Soul Society + Arrancar and Aizen Arc long?

What do you mean when you say "Killing a living human being would mean one has to go to Hell" - unless it's something from the movie (which I still need to watch)? If so, then don't say anything please, because I don't want spoiler >.>

Probably the former - the latter would require a massive build up and continuation, and was, what, 400-odd chapters? I think Soul Society was only around 100, from Ichigo's entrance to his exit.

Spoiler:
Nothing specifically from the movie. XD Besides I wouldn't really consider it canon, anyways. I just mean, Ichigo is a living human being, and Xcution are all living human beings. I thought when one living human being killed another, that was considered a sin that couldn't be purified by Konso, therefore the soul went to hell. Unless, like I said, it is more complicated that that, which I am gonna assume for Ichigo's sake, it is. XD

I would rather have the latter. I WANT MOAR BLEACH. xD

Pokestick, good times. September 2nd, 2011 11:43 AM

Spoiler:
Though I'd assume that since Ginjou and Tsukishima are considered generally "evil", killing them would be a "good" thing?

So if anyone would go to hell, it'd probably be Ginjou and Tsukishima. That's the vibe this gives.

...Though I'm starting to think Kubo's not really caring about hell, anyway. He did let the anime people do what they wanted :P
So it's relatively safe to assume that there's not going to be many canon depictions of hell in the future.

***

But in the promo chapter for Hell Arc, it seemed like the arrancar go to hell, in their arrancar form.

So does that mean hollows remain in hollow form when they go to hell? I'd have presumed that they revert to individual humans.

Unless they seize to be individuals when they become menos grande/arrancar?

Still, it's strange that they go to hell when their acts while hollows are supposedly "forgiven". Or does that change when they become arrancar, too?

Zameric September 2nd, 2011 12:01 PM

Spoiler:
I'm guess one could make the hypothesis that becoming Menos and later Arrancar seals in their new form as their soul.
So when they have to go to hell, they'll look like their Arrancar self.
Just my guess, since the only canon example of a Hollow going to hell was Shrieker.

Pokestick, good times. September 2nd, 2011 12:12 PM

Spoiler:
I'm thinking that Kubo thought about using Hell later on, and introducing it with Shrieker, but then changed his mind.

Or maybe he never intended it at all, and it was only to give a little bit of depth.

With the concept of hell, all souls in Soul Society should be "good". Though a lot of them still manage to be douchebags :P

...Albeit maybe that's because of the horrible way they're all treated through the oligarchy that is Soul Society. I guess it makes sense though, the people in charge are older than the idea itself of democracy :P

Another unfair thing is that the souls born in SS can kill and do whatever they want (I'm suspecting that for instance Gin and Aizen were born in SS), while they would've been sent to hell instead were they to have done those crimes in the real world.

I guess they go to hell when they die as Shinigami, though.

Also, I just ehm... borrowed the 4th film. Be watching it tomorrow.

About the hell thingy, the only canon thing I remember about it is that the souls of people who did heinous deeds in their lives cannot be purified, they would be sent to hell.

True that. He only included Hell just to make it clear that Soul Society is not Hell, I think.

Spoiler:
Annnnd yeahthat. We could only assume that the Espada did something bad when they were alive, or otherwise I think they'd be sent to Soul Society.

So, watched it.

For a film, it was mediocre.
For Bleach, it was absolutely magnificent.

I definitely enjoyed watching it, though.

Spoiler:
Surprisingly, they didn't include any existing characters as sinners. I mean they already used Shrieker in the anime promo, but since they had two of the espada in the manga one, I assumed that some of the others would be in the film. Guess I was wrong.

Thank you, Sou-Taicho. I'll try to add more in my persona soon. The drawing is intentionally 'Tite Kubo' style, I hope I did it right. I'm planning to post a shikai release and later on a bankai release, according to my activity (as in time spent in seiretei ;p)
I'll also think about my charts carefully.

Would you do me a favor? Could you make it so my name on the first post links to the persona picture? (not the post)

Now, on to the manga discussion:
Spoiler:
Is it just me or Giriko seems the most greedy of 'em all?

Also yay we discovered Tsukishima's evil side. I was getting irritated from his relaxed nature (he's much like Kariya Jin on that matter)

Well, usually we'd have fanfic characters profiles where we would put that kind of stuff.
Then I could link that, next to your name, on the first post.
Those also are usually link to on squad pages, but you don't belong to a squad yet.
I think it would just be more efficient if you made a post dedicated to your persona.
You could just leave it mostly blank for now.
But I probably should put up an example of one too. >.>

Hm. I guess I could make one single post and just edit it whenever I have to add information, and just have that as a link up front. How about that?

Oooh, me wants to make a new chart as well. =D Though most of it is staying the same as the old one. lol

Offense: 60 [Same]

Defense: 80 [Same]

Mobility: 90 [Same]

Kido: 100 [Same]

Reiatsu: 90
He doesn't really exert that much reiatsu out, because most of his spiritual powers are directed to Kido. Though he still could crush weaker opponents with his spiritual force if he wants to.. Yeah. A lot of his reiatsu are directed towards his card abilities, so he'd need a huge stock of it to use his cards well. Something like that.

Intellect: 90 [Same]

Stamina: 60

Physical strength: 70
Yeah... It's not great, because he mainly uses Kido. A LOT. But sometimes he does use melee weapons too. So... average.

Howzat?

Pokestick, good times. September 4th, 2011 10:19 PM

I'm starting to consider getting around making one of those.

...Some day...

RASENCERO September 5th, 2011 4:28 AM

Hey guys! I'm back! Well, I was never gone, but classes started and stuff got busy. What did I miss? Update please.

I have caught up, so:
Manga
Spoiler:
not a lot happened last 3 chps. Ichigo got his powers reactivated with a massive reiatsu transfusion. Ginjou used his powers and spread to the others, who were also apparently a part of it the whole time. And for some reason Ginjou is a threat for SS. Oh and he used to be a shinigami. But we knew that.
Paradox makes people broken. XD

Anime
Spoiler:
So far our theory that it would last 5 eps. They managed to stretch it with giving ichigo his powers back. But I still like it. It need to speed up though.

Hell Movie
Spoiler:
Its was actually quite good. But that special form a while back was somewhat misleading since we saw arrancar going to hell and it started with the ulqiorra vs full hollow ichigo fight. So I expected to see Ulqiorra... But for the rest it was not bad. An average movie, but it came at a time I wanted more bleach. :p

Nice to meet you, too, RASENCERO fuku-taicho!

By the way:

Spoiler:
I stopped watching the anime since those fillers started. I'll catch up when the time gap occurs in the anime, too.

I'll get about doing my profile pretty soon.

You should watch it, it's pretty interesting. Plus, all of us club members love to discuss it. You'll notice us talk about it each week. ^__^

Are the current fillers that interesting? If yes, I might sit down and watch, then.

Oh, for the current DotW:

If you had to chose in battle..Zanpakuto, Kido, or Hakuda?
Zanpakuto, definately. According to my Bleach persona, I'm no good at Hakuda, and my kido is only limited to bakudo techniques. So I guess my zanpakuto will be my battle buddy.

Weeaboo Name September 6th, 2011 7:48 AM

338.
Spoiler:
so they've finally combined, Hollow Ichigo is on the smallest hollow rampage ever and and the captains are spouting more pride/protect/I am the real slim shady head of the Kuchki crap at each other again.

I like Pokemon (...) September 6th, 2011 9:36 AM

I finally watched the Bleach movie, but uncharacteristically of me, I don't really have anything to say on it at the moment. I dunno, maybe I'll watch it again soon on my own, and take notice of smaller details.

Welcome back my Lieut! I was starting to get worried that you had been hit by a red bus while going to the store to buy milk and veggies.

Lolnope.

Hakuda is hand-to-hand, which I'm pretty bad at. If anyone has seen the Sherlock Holmes movie, I do something similar (a very deep analysis), but it doesn't always seem to work - either my opponent makes a slightly different move, or I'm a bit too slow, or my hits aren't as hard, etc.

Zanpakutou or Kidou... It's hard to say. My zanpakutou is very unique, but unless I manage to get a cut somehow (or I just godmod and make myself super powerful from the beginning) it'll be very difficult to win - as I have no traditional attacks, and I always use Kidou in order to make the most of it.

Though I think it would be easier to win a fight solely on Kidou, simply due to its versatility (though obviously, it depends on my opponent) - but an opponent is more likely to be unaffected by my zanpakutou (such as Byakuya, I can't hit ALL of his petals), than be unaffected by my Kidou.

So Kidou.

Nah no red buses here. Electric/hybrid buses plenty though. They used be extremely loud, but these new hybrid ones are death traps! XD
And its milk and Hot sauce. Or veggies and spicy stuff. Or just spicy stuff.
Besides, I use my clone to buy stuff. But it did to much of my work, so I ended up hibernating. Then the clone got hit by a hybrid bus and suddenly I had to do stuff myself. So I got busy.

Well, whats the hold up? It won't be long before it ends. You're missing out on stuff. :P

338 + stupid mistake of the animators
Spoiler:
2.28, Full Hollow Ichigo. Check his mask pattern. Now check it later in the ep. (at any time) You see? Double stripes. XD

Zanpakuto. FTW. Didn't we already have this topic like three times?
Or is it the same one?

Here's a different version:
If you had to chose in battle... High lvl Espada or High lvl Captain?

Well, that sounds perfectly reasonable.

If you had to chose in battle... High lvl Espada or High lvl Captain?

You mean, to fight? And do you mean Canon Espada and Captains? If so, High Level Captain, because I think they would be stronger. xP

Also, I have another question, but it is spoilered:
Spoiler:
I don't remember if this has already been mentioned, but does anybody else think that any background info on Ginjou and his status as a substitute shinigami will come in the form of additional Turn Back The Pendulum chapters? I kinda hope it does, because those were fun to read. (I have recently been rereading the whole series and I just finished the Pendulum arc.)
