I know, innit? :D Just like Ash's.

wolfaru July 15th, 2010 7:06 PM

I've caught shiny Gyarados and a shiny Tentacool.
That's it sadly...

Charizard★ July 15th, 2010 7:11 PM

Gyarados and a Scyther :P

pokeman2121 July 16th, 2010 1:37 AM

I've never seen a shiny in G/S/C. But I have legitimately caught a few in Emerald and Diamond.

sab July 16th, 2010 5:17 AM

garydos. the first wild pokemon I saw was a shiny pidgey, so I thought all wild pokemon looked like that, and ran...

Maydevoir July 19th, 2010 3:15 PM

Of course, the Gyarados in the Lake of Rage, but I also caught a shiny Meowth in the route before Vermilion City.

Shadow_Aura_64 July 20th, 2010 2:20 AM

Metapod and Krabby. Didn't bother training either of them.

Rapidash July 24th, 2010 7:21 AM

In all of my years of playing Pokemon, completing most of the games and completing the Dex' in Silver I've never seen a shiny.

FM actual L

but, as in my sig. I'll sell my soul for a shiny Ponyta

xxChazxx July 24th, 2010 8:16 AM

I really wish that shininess was still related to a Pokemon's IV's.

darkmagus July 25th, 2010 9:36 AM

A shiny Gyarados of course, a ditto, a doduo, a elekid (egg) and a Noctowl. ajajajaaj looking back i played Pokemon crystal a little too much XD

Lycanthropic-Manx July 25th, 2010 11:02 AM

...Saw a shiny Rattata once...

I have the worst friggin' luck when it comes to shinies!

RubyHacker August 10th, 2010 10:16 PM

A shiny tentacool in Gold but i was 8 so i didn't know it was so rare and i pwned it :P

shuichixryuichi August 12th, 2010 6:27 PM

Theres a 50% percent chance of getting a shiny Pokemon from the Day Care mystery egg.
From that Ive gotten a shiny Igglybuff and Magby. :)
In the wild below Ecruteak I caught a shiny Hoothoot. :P

cloud_felipe August 14th, 2010 7:07 AM

I caught a shiny Caterpie and also a golden pikachu

Ahseyo August 21st, 2010 12:34 AM

I got a shiny Pidgey, and also found a shiny Rattata. That's about it for me, I think. And I've spent countless of hours grinding and trying to catch every pokémon I can find.

Mirby August 21st, 2010 1:28 AM

The only shiny I've ever caught. An "I" Unown...

Darkfire_Danny August 21st, 2010 2:30 AM

Even though I've played through Crystal many a time and hatched the Mystery Egg loads of times, I've never got the Shiny from it despite it being 50% Shiny :/ . I've got a few in Gen 3 and loads in Gen 4 though so it's all good :D .

Superjub August 22nd, 2010 8:21 AM

I never caught a shiny in G/S/C (excluding the shiny Gyarados, of course.). ;_; The only shiny Pokemon I have ever caught have been in the 4th Generation games. xD

Gardenia101 August 22nd, 2010 11:00 AM

I never hace a legit shiny pokemon, but I have caught 2 shinies- a Magicarp (I wasn't thrilled about that one) and a Weedle

EDIT:Oh, and the red gyrados, of course.

Enigma August 30th, 2010 6:54 PM

Shiny Gligar in Gold. I almost ran out of Ultra Balls, though. D:

Gonzo September 9th, 2010 5:04 AM

It's weird but most of my shinies in G/S/C were poison, I still remember my first- shiny Koffing :)
I had also: Victreebell (from Bellsprout), Crobat ( one from Zubat one from Golbat), Beedrill (from Kakuna), Jumpluff (from Hoppip), Pidgeot( from Pidgey), Noctowl (from Hoothoot), Snorlax and that was very funny- I didn't want Snorlax, I just wanted his Leftovers, but I forgot to teach a Pokemon Thief, fortunately I saved before battle, when I restarted the game Snorlax was Shiny. Kinda cool :) I also had a shiny Sudowoodo and a Hypno (from Drowzee). But my favourite was Tentacruel! It looked awesome in Crystal! I always wanted shiny Skarmory, but I had'nt that much luck :/

Phantasmagoria September 9th, 2010 8:03 PM

Gold: Oddish and Weedle. Different playthroughs
Silver: Donphan
Crystal: Elekid

Yup.

Late September 9th, 2010 8:44 PM

I've caught some:
Gold: Rattata x2 (different playthroughs), Ursaring and maybe Geodude (I kind of remember that it was the first shiny I saw but it's been long time and I think I caught it)
Silver: Raticate
Crystal: None other than the Gyarados as in other games too :D

Ayselipera September 10th, 2010 9:20 AM

I'm pretty sure I only caught a shiny Caterpie in Ilex forest. Besides that I once saw a shiny Delbird in Ice Path, but I didn't have any poke balls on me. Although it wasn't really a total loss since I don't like Delibird to begin with, but there is somehing about encountering a shiny Pokemon that makes my heart aflutter<3

psychomew2 September 10th, 2010 11:58 AM

I caught a purple drowzee in the route right before goldenrod.
I also found a shiny butterfree in the bug catching contest. It always kinda annoyed me that i lost that particular contest, i was hoping that seeing as they are so rare shinies would be worth more points or something, but NOOOOO. Oh well, it makes for a good story XD.
