Does anyone let their mom save their money for them xD

Heck no, she calls me every 5 minutes buying potions or some pikachu doll.... hahahah

Chimbaru May 12th, 2010 12:03 PM

Yup, because I know that I'll spend it all otherwise.

It is nice going home and being like wtf i have 200,000 money since when!?

HeioN May 12th, 2010 12:15 PM

I was hoping for some decorations for my room like in the original gold/silver, but that isn't in the game anymore i think...
I still let her save some money from me to buy those berries, just because she seems to like buying me berries..

VictorRay May 12th, 2010 12:18 PM

yea I do, she'll get you some useful junk like a moonstone
(which only happens once, so now I'm getting nothing but berries)

Alexeon May 12th, 2010 1:25 PM

Money is ridiculously easy to get in HG/SS (although it's still easy in D/P/Pt too). I let her save money from the beginning, and now we both have the max 999,999. x_x I was originally worried about her rather shameless spending of her son's winnings, but I never really had to withdraw extra money from the Mommy Bank...always had more than enough.

Circuit May 12th, 2010 1:28 PM

Yeah, because if I don't, typical teenager spends it all XD

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ May 12th, 2010 1:29 PM

I let her save money, and once the constant calls about the stupid berries got to me annoying, I just quit picking them up. Now she's actually saving it without spending it.

But if I play through again, I probably won't have her save. It's not worth it.

shookie May 12th, 2010 1:29 PM

I did at first, then stopped, but I might go back and start saving up again. I don't really spend a lot of money (I would if I actually played SS more often), but she can buy stuff that's otherwise harder to get, like held items (focus sash/muscle band) and some berries that I'm too lazy to transfer from Platinum.

Massai May 12th, 2010 3:01 PM

Always send some home to Mother. She spent the first ten years of your life slaving away in a town with five buildings with no pokemon to allow her to travel through the tall grass, waiting for the bus that only ran twice a week to put food on the table and clothes on your back. So she buys you berries - eat your berries and be happy she doesn't tell you the truth about your Father ;_;

rockman0 May 12th, 2010 3:13 PM

Yes, I hope this is a feature in BW also. Even though she spends it every now and then, I actually have more money than I've ever had in any Pokemon game. Except for Red, but I basically cheated all the way through Red.

15ares May 12th, 2010 3:25 PM

heck yea! i tend to spend all my money and im glad she has some. also, she occasionally buys me choice items =D

Moltres111 May 12th, 2010 4:00 PM

Hell no.

Before I actually got my copy of SoulSilver, I read looooooads of horror stories on the internet about two things in HG&SS: letting their mom save their money and people getting pissed off by Joey.

That's why I avoided letting my mom save my money as well as giving Joey my phone number.

There's really no point in letting her save your money though, the only good thing you get is really the VERY rare Choice Scarf, and I pokesav all my Wifi pokemon anyway, so yeah. No point in doing that when she's only going to annoy me every 5 minutes.

Lol, likewise.

I let her save the money in hopes she'd get Oran berries for the curing Milktank thing, but she never did, I now have like 60 lespa, vesta? (I don't remember the name) berries because of her and it didn't occur to me until after I beat the Elite Four that I could just grow my own Oran berries...

Raykon May 12th, 2010 4:50 PM

Yes I do. If I didn't I'd probably have no money. The only downside in letting her borrow the money is it' annoying getting a call from her saying she bought a doll or something.

SuperEV133 May 12th, 2010 5:21 PM

Fer shur! She bought me a Focus Sash which made it more than worth it.

NickofTime May 12th, 2010 7:52 PM

HECK NO, my mom gets enough money from the welfare checks, she doesnt need my money to fund her shopping sprees.

Shorty- May 12th, 2010 7:55 PM

Yup, I save away. Keeps me from spending too much.

jolteon. May 12th, 2010 8:01 PM

Meh. I only buy revives, full restores, and pokeballs anyways so I don't care. P:
I let her but the constant calling about the berries got annoying, so I haven't picked up those items in about 2 weeks in fear she'd call back. =w=

Eeohnex May 12th, 2010 8:07 PM

Yep, I let my mom save money for me. Although most of the time she buys me berries and other useless stuff, sometimes she gets me some pretty cool stuff like a Moon Stone, etc.

TrilbyMenetti May 12th, 2010 9:49 PM

I let my mother save my money for me, just like I did back in Gold. I swear she spends way too much though this time around and it's irritating having to constantly talk to the delivery guy to get items. I preferred the PC system.

Kombat May 12th, 2010 10:12 PM

Yeah I do. She buys me Stuff For My Room in Gold/Silver/Crystal. So Why not she of she'll buy me anything on here:D

Pikachu-dance! May 12th, 2010 10:35 PM

Yeah i do. but its useless

loliwin May 12th, 2010 10:37 PM

I do, I get used to mum calling me. :O

billios May 12th, 2010 10:43 PM

well, yeah. it took me ages to find a focus sash for my ratatta, this is much easier

Calder May 12th, 2010 11:08 PM

Yes I do it prevents Joey from calling me as much when im talking to her...xD

Joey called me at 2:39 in the morning to tell me he beat a pidgey...I just caught Entei and Raikou at the time so I was like...super dude...I caught legends...

hack1 May 12th, 2010 11:13 PM

I always have 999,999 in all games. So why not?

This. :D

Once I realized I could ignore the phone calls and still pick up the goodies my mom would buy me, I never regretted letting her save my money. It's not like I was really using it anyway and the phone calls, imo, were the only detriment.

RocketAdmin. May 13th, 2010 8:22 AM

Yes. Then I don't lose as much money when I white/black out.

Mew~ May 13th, 2010 8:25 AM

I sure do! She gave me a moon stone twice since I got the game :3 and a muscel band!! Oh, and the berrys are usefull! They helped alot in the elite 4!
Sure the phone calls can get annoying but of corse your moms gonna wanna call you! What kinda of mother lets her 10 year old son/daughter go out on a pokemon journey traveling thought different regions without check up on them every 1 - 2 mins! I just ignore em and then after 10 days goto the Mart and get 100x different berrys and other goods off the delivery guy/person :D

D: Sadly, yes.

I was always in short of money because of that, but I want to have some save up in case I need it. Now, I have only like 3000 and I can't even buy revives. ;;

Jack Kentnon May 13th, 2010 10:07 PM

Nnnnnnnnnnno.

I have better ways to waste my money.

Gull May 14th, 2010 2:35 AM

OF COURSE I DO. I love saving money, and I always return back home every now and then to New Bark Town, to deposit some money in her care. It's sort of sad though. I've always thought it kind of sad however, when she utters "...or is this about money?"

I'm sort of sad that they have removed the room deco feature, I had loads of fun with that in Silver. The secret bases in later games never quite lived up to it either, in my opinion. As for the items given to you by your mom in the remakes; Seriously. STOP SHOVING BERRIES DOWN MY THROAT. I don't know, I never really use berries, except for the status removal ones. It's a nice change when she buys you a scarf or similar. I'm not that far into the game yet, I just caught the red Gyarados in Lake Rage, so hopefully there'll be more interesting items later on.

`Espeon May 14th, 2010 3:34 AM

Oh yes, I let my mum save my money for me. :D

She doesn't call me much, because most of the time she calls me when I'm leaving/entering a building. Lucky much? 8D

Ceecee_101 May 14th, 2010 3:45 AM

In heartgold, yes because i didnt want to lose a battle and payout heaps to some in game person I didn't like.
In Soulsilver no, because my mum got annoying in heartgold telling me about all the things she bought me.

curiousnathan May 14th, 2010 3:50 AM

Yes I have, and I do not regret it. Although I do get annoyed when she calls me like 3 times in a row just to tell me she bought me a potion or something. :cer_pissed:

.Occam May 14th, 2010 6:32 AM

She calls me all the time telling me she bought a berry. Not once in the hundreds of calls has she told me to stay safe or that she loves me. WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME ANYMORE MOMMY?!?!?!

Aurasan May 14th, 2010 7:30 AM

always. I have 914226 some gold so IDGARA

Transcendent May 14th, 2010 7:34 AM

I let her save it because it's like a way to go above the wallet limit.

However, I never answer her calls. Maybe I should because I may want some of those dolls you guys are bringing up.

emoxy May 14th, 2010 10:59 AM

I think letting her save is a great idea.
Sometimes when I don't really care about happiness my method of grinding was to deposit all money with Mum, suicide against E4, then deposit the half sum to Mum again (I actually earn both money and EXP that way!), rinse and repeat.

Nashton May 14th, 2010 11:06 AM

yes i do.

it comes in handy when i want to make a REALLY big purchase. like 20 proteins for EV training my pokemon.

9800 x 20 = 19600

and she got me a choice scarf so that nice to.

Norisom May 14th, 2010 11:20 AM

Ya I let my mom save my money. I heard she will eventualy buy you a Masterball!

YomiTheBeast May 14th, 2010 12:16 PM

NO because its bad enough having Joey call me every 5 min.

560cool. May 14th, 2010 12:20 PM

I did, but I stopped. :O
The 55 Yache Berries speak for their own. Really, honestly... :-(

Cresselia May 14th, 2010 3:23 PM

I'm rich so I let her spend whatever she wants, even though I don;t even use berries. :)

MegaSlowBro. May 14th, 2010 3:27 PM

I let her save my money =P Now that I think about it, she hasn't called in a while...O_o She might've gone on a cruise XD

Calder May 14th, 2010 3:30 PM

I just called her...

"By the way, Zeide, you've saved up $329601"

She hasn't bought me anything wtf...

TheNewRocketMovement May 14th, 2010 4:16 PM

Yup, and I can't describe how happy I am that she no longer buys super potion after super potion after super potion...

Timbjerr May 14th, 2010 4:24 PM

Yes, just out of habit. The attack-weakening berries are actually rather helpful and there's the rare chance she'll by something really helpful (like a focus sash or a moon stone or something).

Jweeson May 14th, 2010 5:13 PM

I do. It's nice to see that a mom somewhere cares about their kid.

(Mine just tries to bring my dad to court over and over again and doesn't want to pay child support so she can "beat him." (They're obviously divorced))

Sol Rovyn May 14th, 2010 7:29 PM

I usually keep the bulk of my money with her. I only carry around twenty to fifty thousand Pokédollars at any one time.

Kai Yamato May 14th, 2010 8:39 PM

I do it when I have the maximum amount of money in hand. =P

chikorita125 May 14th, 2010 8:41 PM

i leave money with my mum but i get pointless items

ShieldWolf27 May 15th, 2010 11:45 AM

Yeah, I'm at Mt. Silver and haven't taken any from the mommy bank so I'm sure its fully stocked. But the berries, I don't use berries. Ever.

So next game play, I will not have her save any.

Lorenzo_Von_Matterhorn May 15th, 2010 11:58 AM

Hell no!

Hahahahahahahahaha! Are you kidding? If I let my mother handle my money I'd be bankrupt by the end of the week! I love the woman but she's got the financial sense of a radioactive peanut on the planet Pluto..... Ummm... You meant the game, right? *Looks around uneasily* In that case, yes. I make it a point to live on the edge in my Pokemon games... *Raises one eyebrow and gives a coy smile*

SkyAngel May 15th, 2010 1:46 PM

Heh. Yeah, I let her save my money, but it got to the point where i just kept the volume down so I couldn't hear when she called and I ignored her if I happened to notice the phone ringing. I must be so ungrateful, not answering when my mommy calls. XD

Macy123 May 16th, 2010 5:37 PM

I did....until she started spamming me with phone calls.

RivalGator May 16th, 2010 6:56 PM

I always let my mom save my money for me. I always forget that she's doing it though and when I beat the Elite Four and talk to my mom for the heck of it, I've got so much money it shocks me, lol. I'm broke otherwise.

WriteThemWrong May 16th, 2010 7:15 PM

i do. i always save my money and never buy anything anyways so i give some to her to buy some cutsy stuff

Pokegirl98 May 27th, 2010 2:41 PM

Yes, I do. And it was actually very useful. I never got the items she bought me ( I usually don't go to the mart), so they built up. Then finally, in Olivine City, when she was literally calling every two seconds, I stopped and got them. There were about 40 berries, a silk scarf, and a moonstone. THANK YOU, MOM!

beca May 27th, 2010 2:46 PM

Yeah, but that woman is beginning to drive me insane with these phone calls ~_~

Elise May 27th, 2010 2:48 PM

I do! It's nice to come home and be surprised at how much she has for me... and then like any normal pokégirl I go on a shopping spree!-... uh, actually not. But it sounded right. :)

Also, even though some of the items she hands out aren't always useful, once in a while she's got some good stuff.

shengar May 27th, 2010 3:17 PM

I do let her help me to keep my money and i don't mind her calling me after all. the berries she give to me doesn't really bad after, proved when i and my friend have some battle

Greenbeans May 27th, 2010 3:28 PM

lol no way XD it is pointless, and when se buys stuff itspends moreof your mony than it usually would lol :D

Toa Hyro May 27th, 2010 4:02 PM

I get use to calls from my mom so yeah.

Zelos Wilder May 27th, 2010 4:29 PM

After i got the Focus Sash from her i pretty much give her all my money now lol.

empty streets May 28th, 2010 1:20 AM

Asked her not to save for me recently after I got the usefull stuff.

ThePinkDragon May 28th, 2010 2:38 AM

My mom is saving my money. :) Everything she sends me is useful in one way or another (thanks for the berries, mom!) and it's nice to have emergency reserves when I really need something for an important battle.

Eldrei May 28th, 2010 2:44 AM

Hell no!! It's really annoying when she calls every minute!! On the bright side, she buys rare stuff. I wonder where did she bought it???

Nickmonster May 28th, 2010 7:11 PM

I let my mom save my money, personally i dont kno y,but i am planning to take it when it gets to a valuable amount.

Eeohnex May 28th, 2010 7:14 PM

After of two months of playing Soul Silver, my mom still saving up my money. I'm always getting calls from her and receiving berries from the delivery man, it would be nice to get something different once in a while.

Hessian May 28th, 2010 8:16 PM

I accidentally hit "Yes" at the beginning without paying attention; at first, I regretted it, but after walking all over Red with a mediocre team and spending just over 12/13 hours, it occurred to me that I couldn't have done it without Mom. She bought me a scarf and a Focus Sash (the sash helped with Lance because my Gyarados was too weak to take any hit from nite), which made speedrunning possible in the first place <3

MrsNorrington May 28th, 2010 8:21 PM

Yes, she buys me items and berries! And I use an amulet coin, so I make tons of money. I can't carry it all.

Enigma May 29th, 2010 12:28 AM

Nope. I can take care of my own money. Plus, everything she buys me when she does save is always something I already have. What luck I have. :pink_laugh:

Mumfie May 29th, 2010 1:05 AM

Yes I do. What other way could I get all those berries? :o

jksa893 May 29th, 2010 1:20 AM

I let mine... Sometimes she buys me items such as focus sash or focus band ...

Nancy Botwin May 29th, 2010 2:07 AM

Yes, because I'm a good daughter. Well, I play as the boy, so I guess I'm a good son.

I mean, she stays at home 24/7 and doesn't even have a bedroom - she deserves at least a little money.

Ger Japa May 29th, 2010 6:08 AM

Well actually i always let my mom save money for me but you know i have never ever touched those money mom saving I CAN'T EVEN SPEND ALL THE MONEY THAT I'M ALREADY KEEPING...that's funny...

ltsang May 29th, 2010 6:17 PM

I do. but I have to go to the delivery man every time she brought me things. I wish she can just send it to my pc like the old version.

garnetdagger May 29th, 2010 7:36 PM

Yeah, I have her save money. The only thing that annoys me is her constant calls, but I usually ignore them anyway. :p

Ger Japa May 29th, 2010 7:46 PM

Hell yah, she bought me a lot but i got no time to check the red man in the shop :P

riddleraven June 7th, 2010 7:12 PM

I do. I like the berries (which is what I usually get). And I knew I'd need the saved money at the end of the game when I go up against the elite four and need to restock on potions, etc.

redsaber5859 June 7th, 2010 7:16 PM

No, until she bought my friend an expshare in front of my eyes! Now I want expshare again, one from mr. Pokemon from trading red scale, one from mom!
