Poliwhirl?! Ah! Long time, no see! I'm still hanging around here. I'm not sure about everyone else, though. The recent server failures may be to blame for the overall loss of membership lately...

As usual, I'm still keeping an eye out for feedback on my fan-fics The Village Guardian and Project Omega. I've also repaired the links in my sig. I have now have another satisfied reader known as Gardevoir09 on DeviantArt. You can view his commentary here at the bottom of the page, if interested:

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/39650146/

Looks like putting my stories in several places has been useful. I still can only count the number of readers who actually completed the story, offered comments and liked it on one hand.

Speaking of which, I'm in writer's block again over the next part: The Final Strike. I always seem to have trouble starting the story, but once I get that out of the way, it's all smooth sailing.

A NEW POKEMON SPRITE WAS REVEALED AND IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE KIRLIA!!!!!!!

COULD BE A SPLIT EVO LIKE I SAID!!!!!

GO CHECK

serebii.net!!!!!

~Solarys~ September 27th, 2006 12:33 AM

KIRLIA has a split evolution line... but how to split? maybe by nature like Wurmples?

It's too bad it's probably gonna come UU based on its base stats.

Psychic/Fighting is like a Medicham clone. I'd rather stick with Garde. XD

...NEEDS MORE IN-GAME PICZ

It looks like it has swords coming from its arms and a metal blade through its head...the skirt is gone and now it has a red dot on its belly.

~Solarys~ September 27th, 2006 6:01 PM

whats his base stats?
where's the pic?

Espy Psyche September 27th, 2006 6:04 PM

68 HP/65 Atk/65 Def/80 Spd/125 SAtk/115 SDef

~Solarys~ September 27th, 2006 6:34 PM

same as the girl version? or does he have his attack and special attack reversed? considering he has a fighting type...

he looks like a real pwner tho..

btw we have a new sableye - ghost/dark, no weakness, with pretty good stats... 90 something atk (both) and 100 odd defenses...

poke-nome123 September 28th, 2006 12:35 PM

I got Garde in MD.

You were right about her having high EXP to the next level, Solar...

...but you were off. 2,000 points to the next level.

Happy happy joy joy for me doing E missions 200 times to get enough of a level to do friend rescue missions with Charizard and Swampert.

~Solarys~ September 28th, 2006 2:09 PM

OMG even higher... I thought 1024 to Lv6 (like Mightyena) was high enough considering starters only need 44 or 91 ><... ROFFLE @ me!!! (i got him with hax so i didnt know much, lol, but i finally found an eng rom of red so i actually have a go at the game. me starting as a MEOWTH!!! yay!!!)

If you can level him over 50, there's where his HUGE stat increase kicks in (i found this in the hex codes), he gets +3~6 for every stat IF YOU"RE LUCKY! because IV's and EV's (i doubt it) still have a TINY effect in these games, but not nearly as much as in the mainstream ones. Oh, and he has a higher attack stat (maybe 125 ish) than special (105 ish), that's normal becuse these games dont use the usual base stats. and i dont think STAB matters either. (my Meowth with 64 attack does more damage with Shadowball than a Dusclops with 70 attack - not against each other, obviously.)

PS: i was wrong about the Solar/Luna rocks combo - that huge AOE (area of effect) attack was Venomoth's Silver Wind (he attacked from ages away)... it happened in a monster house (9 wild pkmns melee) so i got OMGWTBBQ'ed, lol...

Dr. Mack Foxx September 28th, 2006 4:58 PM

Man do i miss having Housyasei-san and Kohei here...

poke-nome123 September 28th, 2006 5:09 PM

Same, mack.

I was looking on Serebii...OH MY GOD. Mimiroppu = new Gardevoir? I mean, look at it.

...I feel the need to say that I hoped that thing was a Mawile evolution.

OH GOD WHY WASN'T IT A MAWILE EVOLUTION?!

...But it seriously can, just lose the large jaw and lengthen the hair. But I think that rids it of its Steel type. XD

~Solarys~ September 28th, 2006 10:38 PM

OH MY FCUKING GOD WHAT THE FCUK BARBECUE HACKS!!!111ONETWO

There's a super ultra uber with 120/120/120/120/120/120 stats... and it's a NORMAL type, so it means it can use pretty much any TM!!! it's the last on the list...

Also there's a Dragon/Ghost pwner that looks like Duriel in Diablo 2... with pwnage stats and heaps of HP...

this is just isnt funny anymore... DP's region must be called PWNAGE ZONE... T_T

PS: where's the pic of the new Kirlia evolution? and how does he evolve into that thing? I reckon by nature just like Cascoon and Silcoon. but I PREFER ITS BY GENDER! boy Kirlias should evolve into that pwner! (yeah right... what about those existing male Gardevoirs...)

PPS: Mawile can't evolve because Sableye can't evolve, or he's too pwnage. HOWEVER, they made us a new Sableye with much better stats...

poke-nome123 September 29th, 2006 2:24 AM

There's no pic of it yet, but there's a sprite.

Sableye doesn't deserve to evolve, if it hasn't already into the new one.

~Solarys~ September 29th, 2006 3:15 AM

It's not that Sableye doesnt DESERVE to evolve, it's that he's pwnage enough as he is now! he has NO WEAKNESS AT ALL!!! that means YOU CANNOT EVER SCORE A SUPER EFFECTIVE HIT ON HIM!!! (there is 1 way, but it's too much trouble... Foresight/Odor Sleuth + fighting move)

but about the new one, i have no comment because he is in a region called pwnage zone...

back to topic: any1 know how to evolve Kirlia into the new pwner?

poliwhirl September 29th, 2006 4:09 AM

Hey Kohei was a drop out sad to say

BUT

what happened to Housyasei-san
did he stop comming here???

awww =[

but what version should i get

diamond or pearl?!

i want to get that spiral cat!~ lol
thats in pearl

but the pearl guy looks wierd

diragua looks better

YAY!!!!!!!!111111eleventyone!EXCLAMATIONMARK*1337

MISDREAVUS EVOLVES IN D/P!!!!! he evolves into Murmage (or w/e hes called), better speed and special stats... and he's still cute!!! lol little Missy is my all-time favorite :D (no, not because he's cheap! altho perish song + mean look = hax...) I GOTTA KNOW HOW HE EVOLVES!!!!! most likely with happiness tho.

AND, COME ON!!! does any1 know how KIRLIA evolves into the new pwnz0r??????///SLASH/??

poke-nome123 September 29th, 2006 10:51 AM

Housyasei san pops in occansionally. Haven't seen much of him lately.

Serebii didn't say how Kirlia evolves, nor gives proof that it does, so we don't know.

Dr. Mack Foxx September 29th, 2006 12:33 PM

Eh? I thought Housyasei-san was a girl.

At any rate, is anyone reading my fan-fics?

~Solarys~ September 29th, 2006 12:56 PM

well Kirlia HAS to evolve into that thing somehow, i haxed the rom and got his base stats, it's EXACTLY the SAME as Gardevoir's, except he has attack and special reversed: 68/125/65/80/65/115 (better for elemental punches), and his ability is same as Lucario's. I couldnt find out how to evolve things though, because I'm hacking the roms with a simple program - i'm no good at it either... lol...

HOWEVER, it's HIGHLY LIKELY from the data i got that Kirlia evolves into that thing just by level, maybe just in a different area like underground. Or maybe day and night, like Esp and Umbreon? and allow me another guess, maybe if you evolve Kirlia at odd (or even) levels you get Gardevoir, and even (or odd) lvs you get the fighting dude?

Anyway, my bet is still on NATUREs, as it's shown in the final form's stats just like how it was shown in Beautifly and Dustox, where offensive natures take the Beautifly line, defensives the Dustox line. So i'll say adamant/lonely etc Kirlias evolve into the fighting one, and modest/quiet etc evolves into Gardevoir.

poke-nome123 September 29th, 2006 1:42 PM

Well, you can't find out because you're using a rom.

I'm against roms because they are illegal unless you have the original copy of the game, I think.

Guess we can just wait until Serebii gives out the info. Hope it looks cool enough to use in my upcoming Gardevoiroth pic.

~Solarys~ September 29th, 2006 4:12 PM

hah dont worry because there isnt any compatible NDS emulators out there, so the roms are absolutely useless except for looking inside the codes. i only know the address (000FF000) to extract the base stats (they call it growth table) and thats about all...

and here's a list of the new pokemons types and abilities - not complete but informative:
http://www.pokebeach.com/dp/pokemon/
- pwn me plz! if you scroll down to #475, you will = 0! i'll make no further comment on that...

btw, did you get an Absol like this in MD? good attack but very weak defenses? He can sort of tank in the earlier missions with his 90 HP but he doesnt seem to gain much HP and defense when leveling up...
http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/3351/absolstatsti9.png

If you look at his stats, its funny... at least he doesnt attack himself when confused, else he'll probably 1hko himself... maybe i've just got the odd unlucky one, lol... (like 0 defense IV in mainstream games)

poliwhirl September 29th, 2006 11:56 PM

GOT PEARL!!!!

already got that electric lion and that fire monkey second evo
it evolves at level 14 0.0

ALSO i want to get MISSY evo as well!!!!
so dark i cant wait to find it!!! XD XP

Roselia evoles witha light stone
could it be that kirlia evos with a stone?

or a certain stat like tyrogue

idk @[email protected]

poke-nome123 September 30th, 2006 6:09 AM

Well, dang, to finish the P-Dex I gotta train a MALE...

This is gonna be one loooooooooooong game.

Well, at least it can go in with Garde as a Physical attacker instead of a Special attacker - I sense that it will become as much as UU in competitive play, more if it gets some good moves.

~Solarys~ September 30th, 2006 11:49 AM

Male Kirlias evolve into that fighting dude on lv30, females evolve as usual.

Missy's evo is cute!!! XD :P

Well, if u look at the base stats of those new ones, most pre-3rd gen pokemons will become uu... who'd use Mew if the new pwner has 120/120/120/120/120/120? and who'd use Slaking (who only atks every other turn) if the rock dragon thingy has 165 base attack? not to mention hyper beam is now a special attack... no more HB + choice band slakings, but HB spamming Alakazams for a ROFL...

AND.. WTF??? SHADOW BALL IS A SPECIAL ATTACK??? AS IF GENGAR/ALAKAZAM etc. AREN'T CHEAP ENOUGH AS THEY ARE!!! I FEEL SAD FOR DUSCLOPS AND HIS EVO!!!! cant believe they call a BALL special attack... i'd like to hurl a ball of mud into their face!!! same goes for SLUDGE BOMB... weird...

poke-nome123 September 30th, 2006 3:20 PM

Still, Returning CB Slaking's are common. There's still gonna be some out there.

I doubt Alakazam'd be using it, but it could be good for a wall like Blissey. It ain't gonna do much in two turns.

~Solarys~ September 30th, 2006 4:46 PM

good point pokenome. but im saying Alakazam just to make my point here, as Slaking WILL be the most UU now, thx to Regi Gigas and the Rock head dragon thingy with 165 attack!

btw pokenome: WHAT THE HECK are you supposed to do in BURIED RELIC? I killed all 3 Regi's and got the random Music Box thingy, and went through all 99 floors (gotta love Pitfalls - takes u thru 1~5 floors for 5 HP =D), but it still doesnt say mission completed! (99/F has nothing except masses of Golems - no bosses)
each time i get to the choose dungeon screen, there's still a [GO] in front of BURIED RELIC... what exactly are you supposed to do in there??? and what exactly is the music box for?
Do you have to RECRUIT all those Regi's to complete the mission? I killed them like 50 times already (with quicksave and shift+F1) but they just won't join! I had to go alone because they take 4 slots each...

HELP PLZ!!!

poliwhirl October 1st, 2006 4:04 AM

anyone know where i can find a kirlia in D/P???

ewww
training a male?

i only train females for some reason
male gardevoir is just wrong

thats why they made that other guy :p
please tell me there is another way to get kirlia then trading

i dont want to go looking for my emerald

Ermmmmm.......Shift+F1? That ain't on the DS! None of those are!

....Oh, you're playing its rom. No, I can't help you there; roms do that.

The Music Box generates Mew on one of the 36+ floors. That's why I like doing mission involving the Buried Relic; if I go through, I might see Mew and might be able to recruit him.

...I might need the Friend Ribbon to get him...stupid Monster Houses Mew is in.

Say, Solarys, some time back you said you had skimmed through my fan-fics and had liked what you saw. Have you been able to take a more thurough look at them?

O...K... so u have to recruit Mew to complete the mission... He never appears... BTW, got Registeel, just by luck - Shift+F1 won't work, because the random seeds are set when you enter its floor, so it doesn't depend on the last hit at all!
what i was doing is quicksaving before the hit that kills him, and repeatedly doing the last hit to see if he joins, like how it works in Dragon Warrior Monsters, where the seeds determine whether monsters join are generated on the last hit. that certainly isnt the case here.
an interesting thing i found out: no matter how many times i reset the game before the last hit, it always does EXACTLY the same damage every time.
and, even more interesting, each time i do exactly 65 (followed by an item kill), 118 (1hk) or 169 (1hk) damage with Pay Day on a basic non-boss pokemon, no matter the species, he always joins - funny how they create the random seeds...
also, (you may already know this), in the murky cave mission, if you want that Gardevoir to join with uber stats (mine has 133/121/64/108/63, Lv5), not the preset 56/18/15/18/15, you have to have both Ralts and Kirlia already in their area, AND you must let Gengar speak for himself all the way - answer "just a whim" to the first question and confirm it twice. dont worry u wont fail the mission, because Gengar will go up and speak for himself, and u then get an alternative ending. But there is a drawback with the uber stats one: he doesnt seem to gain any points when leveling up, while the usual low stats one get +3~5 for every stat on leveling until they par at about Lv40. so he has roughly the same stats on level 100 whichever one you get at lv5. so basically the uber stats one just makes it easier to train, and good for Lv1 dungeons.

Pfft!

Now to wait until the first Erureido and Gardevoir fanfic.

On another note, why can't we see their fronts in the sprites? They're all facing backwards. Why?

Dr. Mack Foxx October 1st, 2006 6:37 PM

What an odd creature...doesn't look so cool to me. I guess that puts a nail into the coffin of my fan-fics. Oh, well. I'm still going to complete the series.

heh, heh, I was just waiting for someone to say something like that, but anyway, I always train males. Ralts always seemed like more of a male type of pokemon to me. But like I say sometimes, A male Gardevoir is about as wierd as a female Alakazam so they even each other out.

The links dont seem to work for me, it keeps saying error 403 (youre not authorized to view this page). it's not your problem; its my ISP, i had random links blocked all the time with this stupid ISP...
you have it as a txt file? just upload it somewhere and that should work.

poke-nome123 October 2nd, 2006 2:27 AM

It's not viewing for you, Solarys?

It's on Serebii's front page.

~Solarys~ October 2nd, 2006 7:27 AM

It must be my bloody ISP blocking it for no reason...
there r only a handful of isps in NZ, and half of them dont even offer flat rate plans... 5GB a month at 3.5Mb costs us $50... + excess charges @ 2c/MB (no cap) = WTFness... others drop ur speed to 64k when u exceed 5GB...
This plan i'm on at least has a 60GB cap, 3.5Mb as usual in NZ, for $70 a month, but the isp blocks like 30% of the net for no reason... Me: =.="

well, can't complain. we're in the corner of the world, and at least we dont get any terrorists (yet!)...

Anyway, saw that Elraid (or w/e he's called) guy on a NZ pokemon site. he looks just like a green Blaziken... wtf... can't nintendo be a little more creative? i mean, look at those new evolutions... Yanma (yeah, left!) => Mega Yanma (yeah, right!)... and they look just about the same! also, we already have a Spoink, now a springy tail cat... Me: =.="
Seriously, i wouldnt mind if he looks like the emerald Deoxys, then he's at least cool... but now i'm better off training a Blaziken, because he looks way cooler as a fighting type with his hawk head...

In conclusion: that Elraid guy is half way between COOL and CUTE... if u want coolness, Blaziken is way cooler, and if u want cuteness, Gardevoir is much cuter... i mean, who'd you want to cuddle more: Gardevoir or that dude? (my answer: SKITTY!!!) Kirlia is the cutest... but he's stage 1, so yeah...

Aether October 2nd, 2006 7:30 AM

Hey folks, sorry to go a bit off topic here, but did any of you see The pokemon episode: Fear Factor Phony? It had a Ralts and a Kirlia in it, there was no Gardevoir, which was a shame. But the funny thing I saw was that Team Rockets Wobuffet fell in love with that Kirlia. I laughed my head off at that.

Well, I do have them at ThePokemonTower.com. I'm in the library under Other. One other problem may have been that the links in my sig were dead. After Pokecommunity changed domains I had to go back and fix 'em a few weeks ago.

anyway, THAT little Kirlia's sooooo~~~ cute!!!

yeah, there were a bunch of psychic and ghost pokemon not featured in that episode, oh well I guess It would be a pain to try and cram every single psychic and ghost pokemon in one episode....

~Solarys~ October 3rd, 2006 9:04 AM

good point.

and... WTF? that Elraid guy is a BLADE (yaiba) pkmn? then he must know Swords Dance... (+ elemental punches)
i sense pwnage... but still, Blaziken looks cooler! (I'll BLAZE KICK any1 who disagrees!!!!)

btw, i bet you know why they had to make a split evo for male Kirlia, right?

poke-nome123 October 3rd, 2006 12:14 PM

A male Garde with a skirt just ain't right. But being a blade Pokemon would kinda be expected, there's two blades on his arms and a metal one through his head. That's tough stuff there.

Blaze Kick me, you'll never get past my D/P Skarmory self.

I, for one, could use an explaination on that.

~Solarys~ October 3rd, 2006 3:00 PM

Quote:

I, for one, could use an explaination on that.
This is only my own opinion, ok:

It has nothing to do with appearance. and it's rather obvious... They made those elemental punches physical attacks, so there's got to be someone to take them over from Alakazam and Gardevoir. (Hitmonchan for one, but he's too weak.) There's no point spliting from the Alakazam line since Abra already has 100 special attack and Kadabra 120. On the other hand, Kirlia has 65 even though he's a stage 1. (and Gardevoir has 65 attack, so it's perfect for a switch-around.)
So now Alakazam and Gardevoir will be off using Shadow Balls and the new guy is basically our old elemental punch Gardevoir/Alakazam. Or maybe they'll give him a physical type psychic attack for a LOL.

what gets me is why they made a special evo for female Snorunt...

Dr. Mack Foxx October 3rd, 2006 3:19 PM

That explains a few things, but it still throws a monkeywrench into the works of my fan-fictions. Speaking of which, were you able to get to them?

Quote:

what gets me is why they made a special evo for female Snorunt... -Solarys
Let's just say that the influx of rule changes and new Poke'mon are why I gave up on the series a few years ago. Poke'mon XD changed that, however. At least for now.

~Solarys~ October 3rd, 2006 11:13 PM

yeah, reading it - a little a day because my uni stuff is pwning me so bad... exams coming up and i still dont know a sh!t.. i skipped a year at high school, which i shouldnt have, and i took 2 stage-2 courses on my first year, which i shouldnt have... i'm gonna fail so bad this time, i dont need Future sight to predict it! :'(

OK, Porygon 2 => Porygon Z... you call that an evolution? just trading defenses for power and speed? i wouldnt mind if it evolves right from the basic Porygon!
(Scratch that - Scyther => Scizor wasn't an evolution either... its like Deoxys changing forms...)
These non-evolutions should be reversible...

- Gardevoir vs Hypno - who will win, if they're not specially made to pwn each other?
Ans: Under old rules (RSEFRLG), definitely Hypno, because 1. Hypno can't be put asleep, and has access to Nightmare, 2. Hypno has better Attack and Defense, if they have to use Shadow Ball. But under D/P rules, Gardevoir wins no doubt. (they have the same special defense and similar HP, but Gardevoir has a much higher S.Atk.)

OK, new topic:
- Elraid vs Hypno, under the new DP rules, who will win? (assume that they're not specially made to beat each other.)

poke-nome123 October 4th, 2006 2:14 AM

It would depend if it gets Ice Punch, but it stealing Leaf Blade kinda nets the win with its good Attack.

~Solarys~ October 4th, 2006 2:26 AM

Im not talking about Sceptile here... or does that new Kirlia evo guy learn Leaf Blade? He's not weak to ice anyway...

Anyway, I say Hypno on 60% of times, depends if Hypnosis hits. Because Hypnosis + Dream Eater (he has no psychic resistance) + Nightmare = GG.

Ah. Thank you. I hope things still turn out well for you. Give it all you got!

Hmmm...Gardevoir VS Hypno, eh? That would be quite the match; however, Gardevoir would win a Beauty Contest hands down!

Espy Psyche October 4th, 2006 2:29 PM

Gardy 6 CMed T/Bolt does more than Hypno's Night Shade...
Gardy 6 CMed T/Bolt would OHKO Lugia and 2HKO Blissey...what would the attack do to Hypno? And if you add para hax in, Gardy will win this even if Hypno has Wish/Protect because it can para on the Protect turn

~Solarys~ October 4th, 2006 5:34 PM

6CM... he has no chance! Hypno KO's him with 2 Shadow Balls under old rules... Gardevoir needs 3 to KO Hypno, I tried with Brave Gardevoir (251 attack) vs Relaxed Hypno (262 defense). or if Sleep hits, any1's pretty much screwed without Chesto. Nightmare + Dream Eater can be annoying! (Well, if he traces Insomnia, it's a different story - but who chooses trace over syncro? I dont...)

Here's the movesets I used to test battle: as u can see they're not made to beat each other - they're just made for the battle frontier.
Gardevoir: Brave nature, full attack (251), full special (345 ish), Thunderbolt + Psy + Shadowball + Bodyslam (or Thunderwave if you're not on emulator - i use Shift+F1 for paralysis, so he goes first, lol).
Hypno: Relaxed nature, full HP (355 ish), full defense (262), Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Nightmare, Shadowball.

OK, I'm interested in the new guy vs. Hypno... I think Hypno has the edge...

poke-nome123 October 5th, 2006 2:11 AM

Trace sucks, go with Lum Berry Syncronyze Garde, that way if your opponent does something like T-Wave or Will-O-Wisp, they get the status condition and you get healed from it. ^_^

All I can see from Trace is when you send it out against Slaking...when you start the battle.

~Solarys~ October 5th, 2006 3:40 AM

Well trace doesnt suck that bad, good against Jolteon, and Vaporeon, and those Flash Fire guys... Send a trace guy out when you know they're going to use Thunderbolt or Surf or Flamethrower or whatever, and they'll heal you.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST - YOU CAN TRACE WONDER GUARD!!! HAVE PORYGON2 TRACE A WONDER GUARD AND SAY GG. (they can't send out fighting type, or they get pwn3d by Psychokinesis.)

However, Gardevoir is more useful with Synchronize - it's one of the cheapest passives out there...

(PS: Who know trace again? Ralts, Porygon and who else?)

Quote:

Hmmm...Gardevoir VS Hypno, eh? That would be quite the match; however, Gardevoir would win a Beauty Contest hands down!
Uh... I'll enter him into a Smartness Contest... because Psychic types have an advantage in that area... Beauty is normally for Fire and Water types (look at their moves). Anyway I usually enter Skitty/Delcatty into Beauty and Cuteness - those guys with low stats but a huge movepool are made for contests anyway.

Thanks for pointing that one out. It was a great episode! Plus, it only took me 3 days to download it! Blasted hardware firewalls...

5...

Who's that again?

and... wtf? that blade dude learns Leaf blade at lv1??? how the fcuk can you get him to have it (not on Ralts' egg list - duh!)? or is there a dungeon thingy that resets ur party to lv1 or something? otherwise its impossible without hax... like how the Emerald's Battle frontier ppl's Gardevoir have Magical leaf - it's impossible for players to have it as Kirlia learns it at Lv1, and there arent wild Kirlias! (Charizard's Heatwave is different, cuz u can breed it onto Charmander.)

**he's not the only one with those random lv1 moves, heaps of others too, so i suspect there must be a way to DECREASE lv's like the opposite of rare candy or a place that resets ur level like the wish cave in MD. and there is a possibility those moves are only made for the in-game AI's or rentals for mini games.**

AND, WTF is the ability "BAD LUCK" (foes have 2x chance to crit) for? Skill swapping? 5...

poke-nome123 October 7th, 2006 3:45 PM

Maybe because of the Move Relearner in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald in Fallarbor that they get Magical Leaf? :/

Beats me, try explaining why they gave Slaking Traunt.

~Solarys~ October 7th, 2006 6:13 PM

n00p - relearner only lets you RELEARN moves that you've DELETED or OVERWRITTEN. it won't let u learn new moves that way.

They gave Slaking Truant because his stats are too high, 670 total = OMGWTFBBQ... 160 attack is not right... same as why they gave Regi Gigas Slowstart.

But look at those things with BL - Absol, Murkrow etc, all with sh!t defenses... its only good use is skill swap while holding scope lens for 25% crit rate, or 50% with Slash etc.

And, they gave that funny looking rabbit thingy an ability called STUPID... roflz, cant use held items... hope he can learn skill swap, it'll be so useful for disabling leftovers and consumables... 120

poke-nome123 October 8th, 2006 9:44 AM

You mean Mimiroppu? Its ability can be Cute Charm as well, and now I see why....kehehe.

In other unrelated news, Mew does surprisingly well in Mysterious Dungeon's Purity Forest. I have to get the Friend Bow for thew dang thing, and now it's paying off. :)

~Solarys~ October 8th, 2006 4:26 PM

OMG that random Mimilop (mimic? 5) rabbit thingy = OMGWTFBBQ... cute charm on him? He's not half as cute as Skitty... he's just RANDOM like the Kirby pokemon - Jiggle-something... (Skitty is THE cutest XD)

anyway, that blade dude is more or less the Blademaster in pokemon... look at his skills - Mirror image (Dbl Team) + attacks with high crit rate (Psy Blade 70, Dark Blade 70, Leaf Blade 90, Slash 70, the bug move 70, Shadow Claw 70, etc...). if u give him Scope lens he has a 37.5% crtical rate, pure h4x0r... He should learn Bladestorm...
His ability should be Sniper instead (3x crit damage)... then he pwnz0rs...

Dr. Mack Foxx October 8th, 2006 5:55 PM

Hmmm..I just may have to include Eruriedo in The Final Strike. He's sounding quite promising.

~Solarys~ October 8th, 2006 6:23 PM

Apparently they are going to call him Elraide (Elblade? - elbow blade) or something but they havent decided yet. well thats explanable considering how long it took them to name those R/S pokemons and Bonsly/Mime Jr./Munchlax/Lucario/Manaphy etc...
Anyway he quite pwnzors with the skills he learns, but the strongest (Leaf and Dark blade) are at lv1, so there must be a way to reverse levels in D/P or maybe the eggs hatch at lv1 instead of 5. Or maybe there are tutors that can teach Lv1 skills.
Must say, he's the one with the most high critical skills, and i'll use him just for crits - i always loved critical moves because they cut through defense boosts like Iron defense and Amnesia so they render stallers useless.
Still i cant understand why he doesnt have Sniper as a passive... he's best suited for Sniper after all... ><

Master_G October 9th, 2006 9:05 AM

I love GARDEVOIR is my favourite pkmn of them all!!!! :)

~Solarys~ October 10th, 2006 1:14 AM

I love SKITTY is my favourite pkmn of them all!!!! :)

(Somebody set up us the bomb! - We get signal!)

***************************************

I know how to get some random pkmns to learn Lv1 skills - the eggs in DP hatch at Lv1 not 5, so they'll have a chance to learn those skills as soon as they hatch.

But this is a pain because all Lv1 guys have exactly the same stats (10/5/5/5/5/5) regardless the species or nature or IV. So u cant tell if your baby has good IV's or sh!t ones... while it gets more obvious at lv5... 1 way you can check is have 4 rare candies and save before using them on the baby, if it has good IV it should have higher stats than 1 with lower IV, or just compare with 1 hatched in RSE/FL at Lv5.

Dr. Mack Foxx October 10th, 2006 6:47 AM

Greetings, Master_G.

Aether October 10th, 2006 3:43 PM

Sorry to go off topic again, but I just read a tragic issue of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Ginji's Rescue Team. In the Manga, the main character wakes up as a pokemon(should sound familiar) anyway, he finds that he was transformed by the Ninetales curse. Ginji is the reincarnation of a young trainer who decided to touch a Ninetales' tail just for fun(yeah, smart idea) but his Gardevoir jumped in the way of him just when he was about to recieve the curse, so it got the curse. And the Gardevoirs trainer just ABANDONED IT!!!!! Gardevoir was in real pain! And its trainer RAN AWAY!!
Poor Garde TT_TT

~Solarys~ October 11th, 2006 8:43 AM

That's the story in Blue version (i think...), where you are the idiot who grabbed 9tails' tail and got banished to the pkmn world. But in red that Gengar is.

Anyway, I tried that headbutt guy with 165 attack in Diamond (on a supercard - no working emulator yet), his last skill is so sh!t thats not even funny! it does do 150 base damage, but the recoil he takes isn't like Double edge or Volt tackle - it works in a way very much like the Blaziken ex's (from Crystal Guardians) Burn away attack - if you KO the enemy with that headbutt, you take the extra damage from that attack, so it almost always end up in a double KO if you fight a lower Lv or a pkmn with sh!t defense or weakness to rock...

http://www.pokebeach.com/sets/excg/090.jpg

I.e. if you use the headbutt move against a Charizard, who is 4x weak to rock, and say, he has 200 HP, and your attack was supposed to do 800 damage, then he is KO'ed by the 200 damage, and you KO yourself with the extra 600 damage.

That guy really should have Rockhead, like how Elraide is supposed to have Sniper...

EDIT:
OK, I'm bored, so I started something RANDOMLY RANDOM, lol...
Come HERE if you want to see some randomness that I bet you haven't ever seen in your whole lives~~!!! ROFL~~~!!!11

poke-nome123 October 12th, 2006 5:52 PM

Quite indeed, Solarys. :P

I liked the movie, Mack. 'Specially the part where he does 45 damage to a Bellsprout. I can't do nearly that much damage to it, that is, on the first level.

SOLARYS SPOILER WARNING :OOOOOO

What's more stupid about P-forest is that you have to choose one that can survive and deal a lot of damage.

Mew, cannot survive, whereas Charizard has a hard time leveling up (getting a Charmander for that).

Ugh, needs more Garde. The lack of good art made by good people is astonishing. I've yet to see anything from D-art.

~Solarys~ October 12th, 2006 8:57 PM

Quote:

Ah, no!
You have to choose one that gains HEAPS of HP on leveling up because thats more important. And for goodness sake DO NOT choose anyone that takes 2000 exp to level even if he has 100 attack on lv1! because then you'll still be on lv1 after 10 floors (those creeps don't give much exp at all)! Your damage is mainly based on your LEVEL not attack so a Lv100 pkmn with 10 attack does more damage than a Lv1 with 100 attack - try it if you dont believe me!

IMO, the best candidate for this level: MAGNEMITE - he gains 5HP for every level, and his types have heaps of resistances! (KECLEON is actually the best but the chances are you can't get him by then.)

Anyway, P-forest = Pwnage Forest = Pure Pwnage Zone XD

~Solarys~ October 14th, 2006 1:45 AM

Sorry to go completely off topic...

OMFG WTF you wouldnt believe this but I just won a Warcraft 3 non-game 1v4... =.=

I was human and solo Blood Mage + mass casters + mortars for a LOL, and 1 of my team mate dropped, 2 left afterwards... i was like WTF...
3 of the enemies attacked me at the same time (1 was afk) but all their units got stuck in my FARM-MAZE, LOLOL!!! I killed about 6 heroes there with mortars and Flamestrike, and 80% of their units were gone - i had towers behind my farm maze.
They tried to make Chimearas and Frost wyrms but i GG'ed them all before they could come out...lol... i feel sorry for those newbs massing tier1 and 2 units... XD
Anyway that was SOOOOO~~~ NOT A GAME!!! it wasnt even funny...

OK, back to D/P stuff... I think i know how to get EVOLVED pkmns to learn Lv1 skills - you need to have another pkmn that learns that skill, like Elraide's Leafblade (Sceptile) and take them both to the move relearner. choose Elraide and choose Leafblade, and he should be able to learn it. i cant confirm that because i cant read jap ><
I just got Leafblade onto Elraide somehow and i had a Sceptile in my party (i haxed to get Kirlia =3) - i didnt even know it was leafblade until i tried it in battle.

poke-nome123 October 14th, 2006 4:18 AM

Maybe you only get moves while a certain Pokemon is in your party? (oh boy, cue the fanboyism of Will-o-Wisp Garde WITHOUT breeding)

I mean, they already have that for evolutions - take a look at Mantine's prevo, it evolve when a Remoraid is in the party. The little baby's getting some cred now :)

Mmm, I know those, Mack, but the lack of recent art bugs me. I'm taking into drawing my Gardevoiroth at the end of the year when my LA scrapbook is finished - that way I won't be having to put up with them both at the same time. (Oh, and by the way, in my recent project I had to draw a bird :P)

~Solarys~ October 15th, 2006 9:36 AM

OK still don't understand this Kirlia thingy - can I still have a male Gardevoir in D/P or can I only have them as females? (Considering you can't trade a specific monster from your GBA games, you can only IMPORT species...)
Like how the random little bee thingy don't evolve into Beequeen unless its a female (duh!), so Kirlias don't automatically evolve at Lv30 unless it's a female? IOW, you have to use the random stone to evolve a male Kirlia, otherwise he stays as a Kirlia even if he's > Lv30?
The same thing goes with female Snowrunts - do they still evolve into Glalies at Lv40?
o.0

There still are male Gardevoirs. You only use the...was it Awakening Stone?...if you want the new evolution, Elraide. Therefore, you have the option of either a powerful psychic or a physical powerhouse.

Aether October 15th, 2006 3:07 PM

Awakening stone? Just how many new evolution stones are there anyway?

hmm, does that dark stone work on sneasel to evolve into weavile, or does it just evolve by leveling up? It would sorta make sense for it to evolve that way, and is the awakening stone a hold/trade item? (those things really get on my nerves! >_<)

poke-nome123 October 16th, 2006 5:09 PM

Nope, Sneasel evolves by levelling up while holding the Sharp Claw.

Awakening Stone is more of a "use only" item, like a Leaf Stone.

~Solarys~ October 17th, 2006 8:08 AM

Machamp's new ability gives him 100% accuracy on every attack so he can spam Dynamic Punch and Cross chop etc etc etc... without missing!

poke-nome123 October 17th, 2006 10:53 AM

That is, if he got successful in Agilipassing. It's possible to pull it off.

I think it makes the OTHER Pokemon have 100% accuracy too, so it's gg fighting a fast Spore Smeargle. They're pretty common on netbattle.

Aether October 17th, 2006 3:27 PM

dang, if only you could use that ability on one-hit KO moves now that is an engine of destruction! (It would be nice if you could use that for status afflictions too, they all have like only 50% accuracy >_<) And besides that way, my awesome Ralts could use that really cool Hypnosis/Dream Eater combo with no problem at all 8D

As I understand it, advertising other sites is not a good idea, unless it deals with the topic of this thread. DeviantArt, for example, is loaded with decent Gardevoir, Kirlia and Ralts pics. I've recorded many of the best ones in my Favorites. Fan-fics are also a good way to feature your favorite Poke'mon. Is anyone else here writing some Poke'mon stories besides me?
