Yup, my oekaki has a continue function which can be used so lots of people can work on one picture. I'm not sure if mine is ShiPainter though. I'm not good at remembering oekaki types ^^;

I have good news too :) Pokesho has a long webcomic called Sirnight Experience up. The quality is god-like and the story is great!

Story summary(in case someone reads it):
A Gardevoir in her mid-30's has a huge crush on Latios. However, she thinks she is too old (as she speaks with Bakujirou, a Typhlosion police officer/old class mate).

Next day, she goes and buys PokeBlocks to make her look beautiful. But instead, she is befriended by a Cacturne who says she can make her look younger by sucking out experience points (which apparently ages Pokemon).

After looking 10 years younger, she tries to go ask Latios out, but she findsout he has a "1st stage evolution complex" (a little like a lolita complex).

The Gardevoir gets more experience points sucked out, and turns back to a Kirlia, and succesfuly asks Latios out. But Latios gets beaten up by his other girlfriends, and has to goto hospital (Pokemon Centre). There, the Kirlia is told her body age is dangerously higher than she is suppost to be.

After being told this, the Kirlia goes to the Cacturne's office, and is told that sucking out exp. will only weaken stats, but doesn't wind back age. Raged, Kirlia tries to defeat the Cacturne, but she is too weak, and loses. The Gulpins start sucking out even more exp, and the Kirlia finally turns back to a Ralts. With the sucked out exp, the Cacturne starts making Rare Candy to make millions.

Then in the nick of time, Bakujirou comes to the rescue, and beats the Cacturne. He returns the Rare Candy to the Ralts so she can become a Gardevoir once again.

... wow, long -_- (btw, the last thing Bakujirou says is "Get off... the red thing is starting to hurt my back")

Housyasei-san: Ohhhh. You know I don't know a thing about computer hardware. Wait, I just realized I have this sticker with all the specs on it...

...

?? (゚Д゚) ??

I have this...256MB DDR thing... I don't know what that means but maybe it's RAM. However, my harddrive is only 40GB. Ah well, that's what comp #2 is for.

kohei: oh... my... GOD!! That comic made my heart skip a beat! I feel weak all of a sudden, but this... THIS is what I would've wanted in a Pokemon cartoon series! Sirnight is really really cute here, and interaction with so many other Pokemon... just...wow. I'm at a loss for words. I'm going to bookmark it, save it on the harddrive, and print multiple copies of it!!

It's just to bad they appeared to have stole my Sirnight character's name (possibly, I thought I saw it somewhere)... oh well. It's just coincedental. I can still use mine and no one would think any differently.

Both of youse: So the oekaki idea sounds good? We'll have to schedule something, then. Time doesn't really concern us as one can always pickup at any given point. We just need to decide what oekaki and when to start.

kohei, if we're using yours, I need to ask you two things (I need to ask you anyway, as it's still confusing to me).
1. Can there be more than 2 layers (layer 0 and layer 1)?
2. Is there a blur tool?
Since I can't read Japanese, I'm afraid to mess around in fear that I'll delete/screw up my picture, and it's completely not undo-able.

One more thing. We need to figure out how to approach it. Should it have a particular theme/setting, a comic of some sort, or just a free for all?

In actual related news, I saw the Kirlia plushie on Ebay, and it's mine! ALL MINE!! http://wwwkirby.homestead.com/files/bwahahaha.gif

That's one one down, two more to go. Oh, looks like he's selling another... ¬˛¬

Well, I'll let someone else have a shot at it, especially since I also bought Cacnea and May's Bulbasaur. I almost bought Mudkip, Skitty, and Chikorita, but decided against it. I really wanted them all though, they're all so cute.

Once I work up enough money (AKA my next paycheck) and Kirlia's still there... BAM! Number 2!

And the best part is, I don't have to pay a courier (sp?) service such as Celga to get it from a Japanese auction (heck, they didn't even have the plushie on Yahoo! Japan auctions).

@kohei- I agree, Soara is a god at art(or comics). You know how I told ya'll Garde was going stale on me? Well reading the comic made it fresher in a way. When I first "read"(aka looked at the pictures :P) it, the applet screwed up and I could only go up to page 6 of it. I liked how s/he gave the pokemon some personifaction. Overall, it was very well done. :) Now I wished Nintendo would ease up on the doujin market for Pokemon, so then there would be more doujins and maybe some dedicated to RKG or somthing...

@Kine- "Start> Control Panel> Performance & Maintenance> See basic information" would tell ya a bit.

Plushies> Ehh, I was thinking that maybe $25 isn't that much. I paid $20 for a single manga volume 4 years ago. Well, I found out it was a reprint from the year before...:\ Geez, Kine, don't be so greedy, at least save a few for the other unfortunate people *coughmecough*.

Oekaki> I'm down for it of course. :P

Hmm, maybe have RKG(or whoever) dining at some sort of 50's diner. Or have 3 Gardes each performing an elemental punch (they could learn them in emerald). Free-for-all sounds fine too.

Before I forget, pictures! w00t Sometimes the thumbnails get mixed up so I'm not doing #1,#2...

*The Mawhile morph I drew in March and forgot about. See, watercolors hate me :(

*The Garde I just drew yesterday. I tried out Shipainter on an oekaki after a brief tutorial. While cel-shaded pictures usually takes me 2 hours, this only took 1. It was until near the very end did it look like another oekaki of mine. [sarcasm]I'm so original [/sarcasm].

Kine June 21st, 2005 8:03 AM

Okay... I need to save the money for school anyway. I still owe them tons of money, and I can't register for fall until that's paid off. First thing's first, I suppose. Speaking of jobs, I need to get going! (But I still want at least two... =( )

In a slight "omg me 2 olol" moment, I would have to say that the comic gave me a bit of a renewed appreciation for Sirnight, much like when I first found the site. It'll drop down to just Kirlia again, though. It always does.

I'll have to get back to you on the computer specs, but I think the fifties diner idea would work (well, I did it before). I don't really care, though. I'll go with anything so long as it isn't blatantly risque or extremely violent.

I've never seen the other Garde pic, so that one's new to me! And that Mawile is really cute... I'm not necessarily sure in which way I meant that... I think I'll stop talking before I say something embarassing.

There are only 2 layers in my oekaki, but I'm not sure if there is an oekaki with more than 2 layers. Also, it has a blur tool as well (ぼかし ), so no need to worry.

On some good news, I finally finish my exams this week, so I can draw more, and actually go find that Kirlia plushie... I know 2 arcades which I havn't checked yet, and there are grey markets here in HK which sell stuff directly from the factories in China (where I assume they makes these plushies).

PC> My PC is starting to feel weaker and weaker... this is what I get for sharing a PC with the rest of the family...

Bakura-kun June 21st, 2005 10:38 PM

Eeep, sorry for not posting here for ages. o.o; Anyway, um... cool pics. ^^; When I get better at drawing, hopefully I can post pics of my own. ^^; Um... so yeah. ^^;

LusterKnight June 21st, 2005 10:52 PM

Um.....I want to know two things:

1) Do I have to do anything to join to this club
2)Can I join?

Kine June 22nd, 2005 6:44 AM

kohei: Oekakibbs lets you have as many as you need, and trust me, I need A LOT. @[email protected]

Yamichi: No problem.

LusterKnight: You have to be active. Active! Active! Active! I'm not distributing memberships at will anymore, so you have to prove to me that you want in.

Edit: Oh-Emm-Gee!!1! My Plushie just came in about two hours ago! I ordered it Sunday night, that's little more than 2 days shipping. Talk about fast! As for the plushie, I'm in love with it... it's just so cute. *_* The super deformed shape, the general design... it's really soft too. Everytime I look at it I just get all mushy. X3 Oh, you guys have GOT to pick one of these up somehow. Buy it, trade for it, steal it, by any means GET ONE. You won't regret it! It's sooo much better "in person".

Bakura-kun June 22nd, 2005 9:47 AM

lol, I wish I could get them around here.... no-one has them... ;_;

Kine June 23rd, 2005 4:35 AM

The only way you'll get one is most likely through Ebay.

Most online PBBS only have 2 layers...at least, oekakies oekakist and oekakiBBS only have 2...

Anyway, you dont need many for a Gardevoir...
1 is like enough already.
2 is like for background or stuff.

Yes, jynx, but some artists are different in drawing on oekakis. One might need 1 layer is for line work, 1 or 2 layers for color, and other layer for background. I can use the 2 on PaintBBS, but I might need more for coloring and such.
Speaking of oekaki's...I drew in Jynx's oekaki.
http://img293.echo.cx/img293/3231/img0001617pa.jpg
Nothing special....
The animation's of drawing it kinda neat. :0 If it goes to fast, see that button with the "H" on it? Click once and it should go to "M". Then start it over again or something. Heh.
Ani
It's mesmerizing....It's also the first time I used the "Curvy" tool. Yey.

Two times I accidently drew the lineart on the sketch. Stupid me. :P

I agree with both. Sometimes, I can do with 2 layers, but sometimes I need more. Thats where the layer merging function comes handy... select the layer you wish to merge to, then select the merge area, and voila! All done!

Lucky you... good thing I finally have exams out of the way, so I can go, um... "hunting" for the plushie :) But I'm still searching for a Pokemon Battle Figure series Bulbasaur and Kirlia.

Oooo
thanks for your tips :D

Does any one know which series was RKG in Rittai Zukan?

I believe RKG is in Rittai Zukan 7. However I'm not sure if they have this set anymore, since I got my RKG last December.

Kine June 27th, 2005 4:20 AM

Honestly, I don't know why I'm even saying anything if I know I'm not going to add anything.

If I knew where the digital camera was, I'd get some pictures of Kirlia and so forth, but otherwise, I'm just not going to do anything anymore.

Actually, that's not so. There's still the matter of the collective oekaki picture. Let's see to it that everything's in order soon, because I will eventually lose interest in doing it, no doubt.

Is the function on your oekaki? If so, could you explain where (like you did the blur)? It would be really useful.

I was about to post that, but the forums just had to stop working right when I pressed the "Submit" button. Lookie! A picture down there!

Maybe next post, I will show the TCG cards.

Kine June 28th, 2005 5:13 AM

Well, in case you haven't seen the news yet (well, I did announce it last night so I sorta doubt it), my old tablet's busted, so now I can't do anything. All that's left is hand drawing stuff, but I'd rather make money, so I'm gonna just work our family business site instead for now.

I'll also ask my mom for the digital camera. I'm sure she knows where it is.

Well, if nothing else, my wrist can take a break.

I've attached two "how-to" guides. Hope they are clear enough...

Oh, btw when do you think you will get your tablet fixed/buy a new one?
(Anyway, you can always go back to good ol' mouse drawing).

Mouse drawing? That's nigh impossible. Took me nearly an hour to draw a couple of lines correctly in Flash, I just gave up.

But I love those tutorials, and they will help greatly. Thank you.

And now as promised, photos! Yay!

* All the plushies won from the auction in the same photo.
* My collection of all Kirlia related merchandise. If I included the little one and that other chick *smack'd* Ow! Okay, Ralts and Gardevoir, it'd just consist of a few more trading cards/TCG cards.
*Boredom makes you do weird stuff, I stole clothes from other dolls and borrowed my sister's stuff. Here's Kirlia in some sorta gown-dress dealy. Isn't she lovely? ♥∀♥
*Something a little less formal. Not a lot of clothes to steal, so I had to make do with something. She has earrings, but you probably can't see them (I think I had too much fun with this >.>; )
* Here's Kirlia being all clingy and lovey-dovey with Wobbuffet. Wobbuffet isn't too thrilled, however.

And that's it, the extent of my boredom w/o a tablet. Hope you enjoyed them, because here comes the drought!

Jynx, the Rittai Zukan has no Kanto/Jhoto/Hoenn versions, and it's a series on it's own (thats why there is a Magnemite/Magneton in Zukan 7).

Asura Nirosuki June 30th, 2005 11:31 PM

What are your attacks you use for Her/Him?

Kine July 1st, 2005 4:57 AM

Wow, that was like the weirdest 4 posts I've ever read. O.o Thanks for the subject change. Ah well, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Maya, what in the world are you talking about? You're not even in the club.
