Now Buster's picture is just friggen cute. <33 I almost forgot about Sasa-tan.

It's nice to see another guro fan on here, Solarys. :) The picture is interesting. At first I thought you drew the whole picture. Garde and all. But the closer I looked, the more it looked like Soara's Garde from the comics. I swear I saw that same pic in one of the Sana comics too. :\ Getting rid of white, eh?

poke-nome123 June 25th, 2006 9:25 PM

It's a bit too gory for my tastes; after all, I don't like the sight of blood.......*shrug*

But as long as Solar stays here, I might as well put up with it.........

? I havent seen that comic thing you're talking about. Link plz? (The previous link some ppl posted doesnt work, not for me anyway... I didnt bother with the Jap version because I can't read jap ><)

Anyhow, I edited the picture of Lucy from Elfen Lied (from ep.1) with paint and Photoshop CS2, and I basically combined that pic from the Ru/Sa (this is the standard pic of Gardevoir) with the Emerald version of the trading card (for the evil eyes and stuff, lol), but I've done some editing - and no, it's not from a scan, or you'll see the hologram's scanlines. I tried to use the ex version but it's too hard to copy in 3D... and I'm a newb to photoshop CS2 - it's a bit too complicated for my liking...

EDIT: That English link says "You're not authorized to view this page...", maybe it's just my ISP or firewall... ><

buster_wolf June 25th, 2006 10:39 PM

Thanks for the comments on the Sasa and Gardenia! I noticed I haven't seen much of Kohei's Sasa nowadays, so I figure she has to be revived again. That and it's a good excuse to have Gardenia pose with Sasa.

Yeah... that Gardevoir looks devastatingly similar to Pokesho's Sana... still, neat background and stuff.

Anyway, something new, yet creepy...

Those are the pics from Elfen Lied I referred to/edited, and the rest of the body is "copied" from these:

http://www.hraj.cz/pokemon/archiv/emerald_karty/gardevoir.jpg
Emerald one for the evil eyes and hairstyle, and
http://www.pojo.com/COTD/2005/Aug/gardevoir.jpg
The standard pic for the skirt and arms and those red thingys - I used Photoshop to straighten the lower body a little so he sppears to be standing/walking rather than flying, and then I added the dark aura like the ones from Colosseum and XD. The smudge tool and blur tool in Photoshop CS2 helps a lot in blending the different layers.

I actually used about 16 different layers in that pic, almost every different color is an individual layer, so it's easier for me to add the lighting effects and stuff. I know it's stupid, but meh, LOL...

EDIT: Oh, btw, I merged the standard Gardevoir picture with the Elfen Lied picture with Photoshop, and then edited it, maybe that's why it appears to be from a comic strip - those scanlines and stuff are still visible - but I blurred them though, lol...

EDIT2: Um... it's just me or do any of you edit pictures with MS Paint and magnify it 8x to edit it pixel by pixel? Because I do that for every image i edit, lol...

kohei June 26th, 2006 12:04 AM

Uho! II otoko!

Y A R A N A I K A

*Off to the public toilet we go*

Erm... yes :p

Anyway Sasa is just your run-off-the-mill neglected mascot type character, so she'll turn up soon enough. Hopefully.

And I like Solary's guro Sana.
I don't mind guro. Sometimes I like it.

Housyasei-san June 26th, 2006 1:11 AM

Oh...I wouldn't know. But I think you are doing an action called "lying". For one, the Lucy and Garde pictures don't match up with your picture. Even if it was mixed, it would've been easier to tell. How does Lucy fit in there except for her evil glare? Two, so the original japanese site where the comic was doesn't work for you eh? What you must've seen was the translated version on Photobucket.
And third, compare this frame of one of the comic pages with Solary's picture:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/aml3688/GardeCacturne.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/aml3688/GardeSolarys.jpg
Now, I wouldn't have pointed this out if you had Soara's permission and a link to the actual source, rather then lying about it.

Solarys June 26th, 2006 1:11 AM

Quote:

And I like Solary's guro Sana.
Thanks, but I don't think I quite catch it - who's "Sana"? Can you post a pic of that char I want to see how similar my random drawing is to that one. I only merged the Elfen Lied pic with the TCG Gardevoir's pic, so if it's so similar to that char you're on about, then I must say I'm pretty good with the Photoshop CS2 ^ ^

LOL jks. I'm a newb with it... =P

EDIT: (To the last post) OMFG WTF BBQ HAX0rZs!!!!!11111 LOLOLOLO!!!!!!1111oneoneone

Seriously I've never seen that - I never bothered with comics...

OK, here's what I did - I googled for random pictures and found those I listed above, and I used Paint to edit them pixel by pixel (LOL!!!), then I imported it into Photoshop CS2 by layers - 1 layer for each color with individual lighting. (Background is copied from an Elfen Lied screenshot and dumbed down to simple lines and polygons, and changed the color scheme.) Then I used the smudge and blur tool in CS2 to merge the layers with background, layer by layer - if you enlarge my pic by 16 times (that's the original size!!! 3200/2400), you can clearly see those layers at the edges of different colors.

And here's how I made the char: I used "invert color" on the Elfen Lied chars to get a silhouette (the dark aura thingy), and I superimposed the head portion of the Emerald card onto the silhouette, then used the Free Transform tool in CS2 to rotate and stretch/skew parts of it so its facing a different angle - this is done by cutting each color on the head into a separate layer and re-paste them onto the silhouette (I know there are much easier ways of doing it =P) So, basically, I cut everything up into pieces and pasted them onto each other as layers, and merged them, like how the old "Animorph" books cover pages are done.

Oh, by the way, my original version's char had a gun in its hand just like the EL pic, and looks quite different to the simpler one I posted - I couldn't post that one on here because it's like R rated for violence. So yeah, I dumbed that one down quite a lot, and I used a random image I googled as reference of how an unarmed Gardevoir should look. Anyway, if anyone is offended by it, I'll take it off and edit it a little more, maybe I'll use the Gardevoir ex's 3D picture instead, if I can find a way around the shading option in CS2.

EDIT2: I'll post my concept layers here later for youse to see that I didn't just ctrl+c, ctrl+v. I need to find them first - I didn't delete them, that much I'm certain.

EDIT3: Here are some of my concept drawings for the head and hair - and that IS how many steps I went through to get that far, and it shows you how newb I am... LOL

poke-nome123 June 26th, 2006 7:33 AM

Whoa, Solar, now that's complicated. Good thing I'm making mine off of mind, I just wish there was an easier way.........

Oh, now that I think about it, Mack, my grandpa has a Scanner.

Solarys June 26th, 2006 7:54 AM

Yeah, it's complicated because I'm a newb with Photoshop - there are heaps of "pro" options which I cant use, dunno how to LOL...

BTW, I figured out why my pic is SO FRICKING similar with that comic one: the last reference image I Googled was probably an edited version of that char, without the background, that is! Anyway, I didnt ctrl+c and ctrl+v from that comic though, that'll be more complicated removing the background and stuff...

Also, a pro can probably make that picture of mine in 3 layers: Background, char and shadow - I used 16 + BG... >< I newb, LOLOL!!!!!

EDIT:
Here's something I made with the Google Sketchup thingy, which might interest you:

I'm trying to make the 3 Regi's next - they're slightly harder, but not much (Regirock and Ice are easy, Steel is the hardest because his shell...)

Housyasei-san June 26th, 2006 4:08 PM

Wow, and he keeps denying it folks! Maybe more images to compare?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/aml3688/Overlap.jpg
I tried all layer properties and I never came up with the same color as the end product. I also outlined and compared the hair. A size difference, eh?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/aml3688/Sharpen.jpg
I also tried the sharpen tool, and this was the result. I have Photoshop CS. Only a year or two older then CS2, but the tools are basically the same. I also like how your highlight changes from the front of the hair, to a little one in the back.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/aml3688/2Gardes.jpg
The lines are nearly the same. Solar blured and smudged some edges out to near oblivion so some lines stopped, along with some very minor edits (Head tilted forward, boobs a bit bigger). Blue lines represent shadows.

Why am I showing ya'll this? Not like anyone would believe an old club veteran anyway. :\

OMG, Can't you read it?

Anyway, if you're offended by it I'll take it off, I don't like to make a fuss about it.

If you want the site of the last reference picture I used, try googling "gardevoir "-~game" -sprite" under google images, it's on the 3rd or 4th page. You'll eventually find it. I'll post a link to it if you want to see.

And I've emphasized like 10 times that it was NOT my original drawing, which took me 16 layers of work - it's only a SIMPLED DOWN and EDITED version of my original, so I just googled random images that might suit, and replaced the char not the background...

BTW, if those weren't my original stuff, why would I have them and why would I waste my time making them up one by one???

And I repeat it once more: if you're offended by it, I'll take it off, no fuss!

Anyway, something more SENSIBLE:

Regice isn't that hard to model in 3D, but Registeel is 00ber hard... his shell is annoying...

Hmmm...Solarys' Gardevoir does seem to be a direct rip from "The Sirnight Experience." Your suspicions are well founded, Housyasei-San.

So, you do have access to a scanner, Poke-nome? Most excellent! I hope you'll get to tinker with it soon.

Hom much further are you into my story now, Solarys?

One more thing: Excellent drawing yet again, Buster Wolf!

Finished it - just!

It's making more sense to me now :P - but the part where the dude got mixed with a Gardevoir is freaking hilarious though (sorry if I've missed the point, LOL!)...

I'm working on something longer than just "spam-length" (thats what I call a story of <10 pages, LOL), it's in that link I posted in my sig. Despite its name, it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with trading cards, I just love its name; it sounds pwnage, LOL... (BUT Crystal Guardian is just cliched - it sounds like its from some old NES game - Crystalis, lol).

You're welcome to read it and pick faults and stuff - I like ppl picking faults in my works, (but not in a bicthy way, though!) it's just the sort of person I am, lol, so I know where I've made the mistakes.

Oh, and no, there isn't this many "LOL"s in my story, :P

Notice how his card and screenshot "sources" have no white background? And you can easily make a transparent background in PS.

Easy: to not make yourself look like a big fool.

I am not really disgusted at the picture itself, but by you Solar. You had the nerve to go very far to cover-up a stolen drawing. Badly at that. Thinking back on the past, I didn't think you ever actually joined the club. You just trolled on how Meowth should've had a club and complained why Garde had one and why s/he sucks, ect. So, you are basically just a tresspasser in this club. o_0

Dr. Mack Foxx June 27th, 2006 4:57 PM

Thanks for reading it through Solarys! I have just a few questions:

1. How would you rate my story on a scale of 0 to 10? (0=Some of the worst you've ever seen, 10=Some of the best you've ever seen)

2. Would you recommend my fan-fic to other people?

49 pages of Project Omega completed!

Solarys June 27th, 2006 5:17 PM

Ans:
1. I'll give you a 7.5/10 - 3/4 of the stories I've seen are way worse than yours! Some people can't even spell or use the English grammar correctly... that so annoy me!
2. Yes, definitely - it's something very different!

=D

EDIT: (To the dude above Mack - others, please ignore the BS below.)

If you're not a noob, (yes, I'm spelling it as NOOB not newb!) then you can see all my files are hosted on STREAMLOAD not imageshack (for the reason that you cannot google things from Streamload, you can google hosted images from imageshack!), and if you see when that pic the random guy found was posted, it was like 3 whole months ago! So, what you're saying is: I edited an pic and put it up imageshack 3 months ago, and used it now? How hilarious! And - that image isn't even yours, why would you care? Any image that goes onto imageshack can't be properly copyrighted anyway, read what imageshack says: "an image hosted here will be made available to the PUBLIC"! I don't know who that OMGWTFBBQ guy is - look, he just signed up, how could I get to know him? But I can see he's the one that ripped images from everywhere and hosted them onto imageshack for the public to google! Or else how could he have the EXACT link to the file? Use your head and THINK about it before you speak, incase you make yourself look like a uber noob! (Why do I feel like I'm talking to a 3yo?)

PS: If you don't like me, fine - I don't like you either, not your immature way of looking at things, not your shytty attitude either! This is a PUBLIC forum you have absolutely no right in hell to stop me from doing wtf I want - that's the way the world is so get over it and live with it! Oh, the positive part is, at least I'm not spamming like that guy!

OMG!! See what that guy's doing! Spamming the forums with ctrl+c and ctrl+v!!!! Look under mixed community groups and you'll find all his spam... LOL!!! He's spamming to get enough postcount to post images and links I suppose... ROFLMFAO!!!

He might not be the person who ripped the images. He probably found it just like you and decided to post it here showing where you copied the image. Edit: He even said he didn't rip the picture from the comic. But I'm still weary of that "fact".

Introduction
MATLAB is a high-level technical computing language and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization, data analysis, and numeric computation. Using MATLAB, you can solve technical computing problems faster than with traditional programming languages, such as C, C++, and Fortran.

You can use MATLAB in a wide range of applications, including signal and image processing, communications, control design, test and measurement, financial modeling and analysis, and computational biology. Add-on toolboxes (collections of special-purpose MATLAB functions, available separately) extend the MATLAB environment to solve particular classes of problems in these application areas.

MATLAB provides a number of features for documenting and sharing your work. You can integrate your MATLAB code with other languages and applications, and distribute your MATLAB algorithms and applications.

Key Features

* High-level language for technical computing
* Development environment for managing code, files, and data
* Interactive tools for iterative exploration, design, and problem solving
* Mathematical functions for linear algebra, statistics, Fourier analysis, filtering, optimization, and numerical integration
* 2-D and 3-D graphics functions for visualizing data
* Tools for building custom graphical user interfaces
* Functions for integrating MATLAB based algorithms with external applications and languages, such as C, C++, Fortran, Java, COM, and Microsoft Excel

I've already received a complaint about it, probably from some parents, so I think it's better I don't offend any more people with that sort of things...
