So we should post in this one instead of the other one, right? If so, then:
Beat LOZER. Very very easy. Killed Pidgeotto with a few Water Guns, used 6 Hardens on Abra (which I didn't need) and then one shot Abra, Rattatta, and Charmander with Water Gun. Beat everyone on nugget bridge and the route next to it, then saved bill. Beat Misty. I'm the better starfish trainer! Taught Bubblebeam to ORION. Got to Vermillion City. Sold stuff and took care of the SS. Anne. LOZER Challenged me again, but I one hit everything except for Kadabra with Bubblebeam. Taught HM SLAVE ONE Cut, skipped the Electric Gym, and went to Rock Tunnel, beating everyone on the way. Beat LOZER in the Pokemon Tower. It was easy. Beat all the trainers on my way to Celadon. In Celadon, I bought a Water Stone and evolved Staryu. I bought some Fresh Water, which I gave to a girl and got Ice Beam. I got another Bottle and gave it to the guard to get into Saffron City. In Saffron, I got Psychic and taught both Ice Beam and Psychic to Starmie. I then went back and fought Lt. Surge's gym, now that I was evolved and like 15 levels higher than any of his pokemon. I taught Thunderbolt to Starmie, almost completing the final moveset. Beat Erika easily with Ice Beam and Psychic. Got Fly and taught it to HM SLAVE TWO. Saved and called it a day. Player: A Location: Celadon City Pokemon Center Badges: 4 Next Step: Take down Team Rocket's Game Corner Team: ORION, the level 41 Starmie 123/88/95/115/101 Psychic, Bubble Beam, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt HM SLAVE ONE (Bulbasaur at level 8) HM's: Cut HM SLAVE TWO (Pidgey at level 5) HM's: Fly |

Also, nice progress :D |
Glad you like it. Here's another update then.
Bah, Rocket Game Corner was easy. Only took damage from Quick Attacks. Grabbed the Silph Scope and went to Lavendar Town. Didn't get touched the whole tower. Saved Fuji and got the Flute. Went back and got the bike, because I forgot that. Got Snorlax out of the way and took Cycling Road to Fuschia City. Beat Koga, although I got paralyzed because I was too lazy to go up to Psychic when fighting an Arbok, so I didn't one hit him. So I took a lot of hits, but didn't die. Did the Safari Zone stuff. Did Silph Co. Stuff. Beat Rival and got Lapras (SLAVETHREE) and then beat Giovanni. Beat Sabrina. I am the better Psychic Trainer. Did Secret Mansion stuff and got the Key. Blaine was easy. Giovanni was easy. LOZER was easy. Victory Road was annoying because of all the wild Pokemon. I didn't have any Repels... And elite four time!!! Battle one: Vs. Loreli! Used like 8 Thunderbolts. Starmie ended up paralyzed by Lapras's Body Slam. After the battle, I used a full heal Battle two: Vs. Bruno! 2 Surfs and 3 Psychics. I'll let you decide which order they were in. Battle three: Vs. Agatha! I couldn't one hit her Gengars, so I ran out of Psychics at the end of the battle. Battle four: Vs. Lance! Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Ice Beam, Surf, Ice Beam. Final Battle: Vs. LOZER! Ice Beam, Surf (x3), Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Surf. I win. http://i1029.photobucket.com/albums/y357/mexierreman/th_starmierun.png |

In-game Name: Michfan (Rival name will be OSUfan, lol)
Pokemon: Lapras (since you said that you can hack--I'm gonna make it at level 5, though, like a starter Pokemon!) Game: Blue (ROM) |
3 Attachment(s)
I just got boulderbadge. now I'm heading east toward cerulean city
|
First update: I chose Bulbasaur as my starter.
I hacked a level 5 Lapras on Route 1, it knows Water Gun and Growl, deposit Bulbasaur in Box 1, never to be used again, lol. I leveled up to level 13, beat OSUfan on Route 22, destroyed Brock with OHKOs with Water Gun. Now, off to Mt. Moon and Cerulean City! http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/3918/bbadge.jpg Second Update: I got through Mt. Moon, beat OSUfan handily, destroyed everyone on Nugget Bridge, and caught a Bellsprout as an HM slave for Cut. Thanks to two Rare Candies that I found, Lapras is now at level 27, defeated Misty's Starmie in three Body Slams (only because she used X Defend). http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/4522/cbadge.jpg Third Update: Got to St. Anne, defeated every player there, OSUfan was a joke, got HM01 Cut to put on my temporary HM slave (Bellsprout). I will probably catch a few Pokemon just for the sake of having HM05 (Flash) for the Rock Tunnel. Anyway, I found another Rare Candy, so now it's at level 35; defeated Lt. Surge and beat his Raichu in two hits (reason Lapras wasn't taking damage was because its Body Slam paralyzed it and couldn't attack). http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/8880/tbadge.jpg Fourth Update: I just completed the Rock Tunnel, with almost all of my PP gone, lol. I decided to replace Body Slam with the TM Lt. Surge gave me--Thunderbolt. It is now at level 40, where I replaced Confuse Ray with Ice Beam. I was also able to use two HP Ups as well that I had forgotten about in my bag. The only thing I need now is HM03 (Surf), and my Lapras will be perfect move-wise. Off to Celadon City to beat down Erica! Fifth Update: I added as much Calcium as I could to Lapras before there would be no more effect, and then I spent the remaining amount of money on two Irons. Erica didn't even stand a chance on Lapras' Ice Beams! It grew a level after the battle, so it is now level 44. All right, Team Rocket, you guys are out of here! http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/5400/rbadge.jpg Sixth Update: I beat the living crap out of Giovanni and his goons at the Rocket hideout and sorted out the Lavender Tower scenario. I'm now going to beat the hell out of the sleeping Snorlax near Celadon City and go get my 5th badge at Koga's place. Seventh Update: Well, Koga's gone. Before battling him, I remembered that I had another Rare Candy from when I was at the Lavender Tower, so I used it, and bam, I'm level 54. His two Koffings were nothing compared to my new move, SURF, and it took two Thunderbolts to take down Muk and a critical hit Ice Beam to take down Weezing. It is also now maxed out on everything except for Proteins, which it doesn't need since there are no physical attacks in my Lapras' moveset. http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/1325/sbadge.jpg Eighth Update: The Fighting Dojo and Silph Co. were no match for me, with OSUfan being slightly tougher than Giovanni (mainly because OSU's Alakazam wouldn't go down in one hit and used Psychic on me, lol). I'm going to hack a Mew so I can use it as an HM slave so I don't have to travel around with four other Pokemon. Next mission after that: Sabrina's head, I mean, badge. Ninth Update: The Marsh Badge is mine. Every Pokemon went down with a Surf or Ice Beam except for Alakazam, in which I used Sing and then used two Surfs to KO it. Now, to visit the Secret Mansion... http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/3996/mbadge.jpg Tenth Update: Blaine, you are pathetic against Surf. Seriously, not one of your Pokemon could survive one! Anyway, time to beatdown Giovanni's Ground-types, then off to Victory Road! http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/6213/vbadge.jpg Eleventh Update: Giovanni, you and Blaine have a lot in common--neither of you can handle the power of Surf! I beat all of your trainers to get to level 61, and all you do is get blown out of the water (literally) by me! Anyway, thanks, because I'm going to use your badge and head out to Victory Road and beat the Elite Four on my final update. OSUfan can't get in my way! Edit: OSUfan was easy--again, his Alakazam was a bit of a pain, but that's about it. http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/6246/ebadge.jpg Twelfth and Final Update: I successfully defeated the Elite Four! Here's how it went down: Lorelei--OHKOd everyone except for Lapras; I put it to sleep, then used two Thunderbolts. Bruno--OHKOd everyone except for Machamp; same thing as Lapras, except used two Surfs. Agatha--A little more difficult than the first two, but not bad. I obtained a critical hit on her first Gengar, I OHKOd the Golbat and Haunter, used two Thunderbolts on Arbok (attempted to use Glare, but missed), and used Sing on the 2nd Gengar and beat it with two Ice Beams. Lance--All OHKOs except that Aerodactyl did use Hyper Beam before I could beat it with Ice Beam, depleting 70HP (lol). Though I was not low on HP, I decided to use a Full Restore anyway and used an Elixir. OSUfan--4/6 were OHKOd by either Surf or Thunderbolt; Exeggutor took two Ice Beams to take down (stupid Sp. Def) and Alakazam was the biggest pain, kept using Psychic, but I got it down after three Surfs (used Recover twice). "Play Time": 16:43 (again, I used a ROM) Money: $193,361 Final Level on Lapras: 70 Also, for some good measure, I even defeated Mewtwo after four Ice Beams (it was frozen after two). http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/9374/doney.jpg All right, Suicune™, put me in the list of Champions! :D |
I'd like to try this challenge, but I don't know how to post screenshots from a Game Boy. Are you only allowed to do challenges with emulators?

In other news, I am ready for my ultimate challenge. I am going to do a Solo challenge with every single Pokemon (excluding not fully evolved Pokemon). I'm going to do the first 150 on RBY, 152-250 on GSC, etc. I've already done Starmie, but here we go with Venusaur, my first runner. |
Awesome! Well, then, I think I'd like to run this challenge.

Ok, here I go!
UPDATE: Named myself Ash, and my rival Gary (Unoriginal, I know.) Started with Squirtle, beat Gary and leveled up to 6. Got Oak's package and got pokedex (Squirtle hit level 7.) After going to Viridian, I bought one Poke Ball and headed west into the grass. First thing I encountered was a Level 3 Nidoran Male, so I weakened it and caught it on the first try. Meant to name it but misclicked; I'll wait for Lavender. Healed Nidoran and deposited Squirtle. Went south and fought a few wild Pokemon, returning to heal several times, until Nidoran hit level 5, when I switched to the north grass to grind. Fought Gary again west of Viridian, but lost while wasting both potions (beat Pidgey and Nidoran hit level 9 though.) Refought Gary and won, Nidoran hit level 11. Healed and went through Viridian Forest, only had to heal once, Nidoran was level 13 upon exiting. Healed again at Pewter, bought two potions and sold my antidote, and prepared to face Brock. Brock Nidoran hit level 14 after the Jr. Trainer, then I returned and healed. Brock opened with Geodude, and I spammed Poison Sting until he was poisoned (forgot about his infinite FH's though.) Switched to Horn Attack. He had used quite a few Defense Curls so there wasn't much I could do. Switched to Tackle once I found I was barely doing 1 damage. Used all three of my Potions but eventually lost. Rematch! Well, this time around, I knew better than to use Poison Sting. I opened with four Leers (He countered one with Defense Curl) and then switched to Horn Attack. He started Curling afterward, but I easily managed the KO. Nidoran leveled up. Next up was Onix. He used Bide, so I countered with Leer until he "unleashed." I continued to Leer when he used Bide again. He then used Screech and Tackle, while I hit him with one Horn Attack and then used a Potion. He Bided again so I used Leer despite him being at minimum defense already. After the unleash, I continued with Horn Attack. It was down after about three more attacks. Boulderbadge was mine, and Nidoran was one level away from evolving! Nidoran Male: Current Level: 15 Current Moveset: Leer, Tackle, Horn Attack, Poison Sting Current Stats: ATK 25, DEF 22, SPD 25, SPEC 22, HP 40 UPDATE: Continued on to Route 3 after healing. The first Lass I beat easily, and Nidoran leveled up to 16 and evolved! Nidorino beat the rest of the trainers with little trouble, only needing to heal once. Jigglypuff was a bit more annoying, though. Made it to Mt. Moon and bought Magikarp just for the heck of it, but deposited it right away. In Mt. Moon, I only needed to leave to heal once; I found the Water Gun and Mega Punch TM's and taught them to Nidorino. I found a Moon Stone when it was at level 23, so I quickly evolved it to Nidoking and allowed it to learn Thrash. Took the Dome Fossil and exited. In Cerulean I healed and proceeded north. Gary was a piece of cake, managed to beat everything with Mega Punch and Thrash. I then went on to Nugget Bridge for more experience, but went no further, as I planned to glitch a Mew as an HM slave. I healed and prepared to face Misty. Misty Misty was a piece of cake after Brock. Nidoking was Level 27, and a single Mega Punch took down Staryu, leveling Nidoking up to 28 in the process. Starmie was only slightly more difficult; it took two Thrashes to down it and she managed to get off a Water Gun, which did decent damage. Nevertheless, Starmie was easily KO'ed and the Cascadebadge was mine! I then used TM 11 to teach Bubblebeam to Nidoking, replacing Water Gun. Nidoking: Current Level: 28 Current Moveset: Thrash, Bubblebeam, Mega Punch, Poison Sting Current Stats: ATK 66, DEF 61, SPD 66, SPEC 59, HP 91 :t254: Sceptile0111 :t254: P.S. Is glitching a Mew for an HM slave legal in this challenge? I'm not going to try it until I know for sure. |

Awesome! Well, anyway, I continue:
UPDATE: After beating Misty, I bought ten Poke Balls and went north. After a bit of searching/grinding, I finally managed to capture an Abra. After healing, I then used Abra to perform the Mew Glitch. Nidoking's Poison Sting was enough to weaken but not kill Mew, and I caught it easily with a Poke Ball. I named it SLAVE! and deposited Abra in the PC. I then set out for the south after depositing a few items. I picked up the Bike Voucher in Vermilion and then boarded the S.S. Anne, using my chosen Pokemon and fulfilling the challenge requirements. I defeated all of the trainers and found all of the items; Gary was a piece of cake and I got the Cut HM, which I taught to SLAVE!; I also taught Nidoking Body Slam from a TM I'd found. With Cut in my arsenal, I then proceeded to the Vermilion Gym. Lt. Surge Luckily, since Nidoking is part Ground, I had a huge advantage in this Gym. I got stuck on the stupid puzzle for quite some time, but eventually made it to the Leader after defeating his Trainers. Voltorb went down to a single Body Slam, and Pikachu was dispatched with Bubblebeam and Body Slam. A single Thrash, with a Critical Hit, was enough to get rid of Raichu. I was then proud to add a Thunderbadge to my Trainer Card! Taught Thunderbolt to Nidoking in place of Poison Sting. UPDATE: Following my battle with Lt. Surge, I immediately went east to Route 11. I battled all of the trainers there for some extra experience. Next, I proceeded through Diglett's Cave, emerging back on Route 2, where I realized that I would need three more Pokedex entries to get the required 10 for Flash. First, I withdrew the Abra I'd used to get Mew and traded it for Mr. Mime; after this, I bought a bunch of Poke Balls and caught a Metapod and a Ratatta in the nearby area. After depositing all of those extra Pokemon, I got HM 05 and taught it to Mew. I went back through Mt. Moon and got my Bike in Cerulean City; then, I was able to go east toward Rock Tunnel, battling the trainers on the way. Rock Tunnel itself was a challenge in that I ran out of Bubblebeam PP about halfway through the cave, making it difficult to beat those selfdestructing Gravelers on the Hikers' teams! Luckily, I made it to Lavender with some HP still remaining on Nidoking. I quickly healed and headed south for more experience (and to test out Thunderbolt) before going west to Celadon. Here, after healing, I went to the top floor of the department store and bought Fresh Water and Lemonade, giving the water to the girl for the Ice Beam TM, which I taught to Nidoking over Body Slam. Team Rocket's hideout was next, and I went through it with ease; Giovanni went down to a few Bubblebeams and a Thrash, and Nidoking hit level 50. After this, I went to the Gym and prepared to challenge Erika. Erika Nidoking's brand-new Ice Beam technique proved handy in this Gym, although its lack of PP meant that I would have to conserve it for the Gym Leader. Erika's trainers all went down pretty easily to Thrash, and Erika herself only required a single Ice Beam per Pokemon. Victory was mine, but the TM prize wasn't quite as useful as the previous two had been, so I deposited it. Next up was Lavender Town. I healed and went into Pokemon Tower; by this time, Gary was a piece of cake. I climbed the tower battling Channelers as I went, facing a challenge in conserving PP as Thrash was ineffective against Ghosts. I got the Poke Flute, healed, and went south, KOing Snorlax for some EXP. I then took the eastern route down to Fuschia. Before facing Koga, I healed and went into the Safari Zone to grab the gold teeth, but I ran out of steps 3 squares away from the Surf house (>.<) so I had to redo the Safari Zone. I also caught a Paras just for fun, which I quickly deposited. Koga himself was easy, although I found myself healing twice due to his Jugglers (Drowzee and Hypno's Psychics took a big chunk out of Nidoking.) Koga went down handily to a few Thunderbolts and Thrashes, and soon the Soulbadge was mine! I then taught Mew Strength, and gave Surf to Nidoking to replace Bubblebeam. Continuing on, I decided it was time to tackle Sliph Co. and Saffron City. I originally planned to teach Psychic to Nidoking, so I headed to Mr. Psychic's house, but then I remembered that Nidoking couldn't learn it. Oh well. Before facing the PP endurance marathon that is Silph, I challenged the Fighting Dojo. Went down quickly to a bunch of Thrashes, and I took Hitmonlee and deposited it. Thanks to Thrash, I managed to get most of Silph cleared out, making it to the 9th floor in time to refresh, and gathering up a bunch of items, including the Earthquake TM. This I taught to Nidoking, replacing Thrash and filling out my final moveset for him. Ice Beam was able to make short work of Gary's Venusaur, and the rest of his team was easy, I named the Lapras "Bob" and deposited him. Giovanni was a pushover, but I did get a Master Ball in return! After Silph, there was only one thing to do... Sabrina GAH! I forgot how much I hate this Gym and its stupid tile puzzle. I must have ended up in the same room at least four times before I got anywhere. Oh well, at least it was worth some nice EXP. Sabrina's Alakazam actually gave me trouble, took two Earthquakes after it set up a Reflect. Luckily, Nidoking didn't get hurt too badly, and so the Marshbadge (sp?) was mine. Now time to sail the seven seas...or two sea Routes, whatever. For the experience and cash, I flew to Fuschia and headed south, battling every Swimmer I could find. I didn't feel like tackling Seafoam just yet, so I flew to Pallet and took the back way to Cinnabar, fighting Swimmers along this route as well. I even went and met up with Seafoam on the west end for the added trainer experience. I also revived my Dome fossil and deposited it for the lulz. The Mansion wasn't too hard, lots of annoying Muk and Weezing everywhere though. Nidoking had to go and restore his PP twice before I got to the Secret Key. With Key in hand, up next was Blaine! Blaine Surf and Earthquake utterly destroyed this Gym. I fought all of the trainers, intentionally got the quiz wrong ("Tombstony?" WTF?) and beat Blaine handily. Considered giving Fire Blast to Nidoking but then decided against it. With the Volcanobadge in my possession, only one more stands between me and the League! Giovanni Viridian was only a short Fly away (on the back of a Mew, of all things :P). I healed up and entered the gym. There were quite a few trainers in this gym, and so my biggest challenge was conserving PP. Giovanni went down easily to a few Surfs and Earthquakes, and I had my Earthbadge in hand. Next was the Pokemon League! I didn't even bother to restore PP, but headed directly west and confronted my rival. One-shotted pretty much everything he had. Nidoking hit level 79 during this battle, and I used a Rare Candy I had found somewhere along the line to add an additional level to him. I then went back and healed Nidoking before the task that would be Victory Road, and killed a Ditto for the lulz along the way, passing all of the badge checkpoints. Victory Road was perhaps my biggest PP-conserving challenge (I had made up my mind not to leave until I made it to Indigo) and toward the end I ran out of PP for all of my moves. Luckily, Nidoking was level 84 by this time and easily destroyed the rest of the opposition with nothing but struggle (LOL!) Upon reaching Indigo Plateau, I deposited Slave! and all non-healing/PP restoring items. Then I prepared to confront the E4. The Elite Four The entire Elite four basically boiled down to being one giant type-matching test. Lorelei was defeated by a string of Thunderbolts, although her Jynx annoyingly survived one and managed to Ice Punch and freeze(!) me, making me waste a turn and a Full Heal. This was the only time Nidoking took damage. Bruno's Onix were drowned with Surf, and his Fighters died to one Earthquake each, since nothing I had was super-effective. Agatha died to four Earthquakes and an Ice Beam (for Golbat), and Ice Mean and Thunderbolt destroyed Lance's Dragons and Gyarados. Gary was interesting; my Surf actually missed against his Arcanine, but then he decided to be an idiot and use Roar. Epic fail. With him gone, I became the new Champion! (It was also fun seeing the Hall of Fame scroll by with only one Pokemon.) Nidoking FINAL (Post-Mewtwo): Current Level: 88 Current Moveset: Earthquake, Surf, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt Current Stats: ATK 236, DEF 220, SPD 236, SPEC 217, HP 300 Challenge Complete! :t254: Sceptile0111 :t254: |
I'm probably going to be updating every two badges.
-After a good playthrough of Mega Man on the SNES, I headed downstairs. -Like any good kid, I ignored my mother and hastily ran outside. -I was dragged away from Route 1 by Prof. Oak and handed a Squirtle (for the extra challenge of Bulbasaur). -After delivering the parcel, I was given a PokeDex. -I bought several Pokeballs, as I was unsure of Krabby's catch rate. -Caught a Krabby with the first ball, so I sold the rest of the wasted balls back to the shop. -I grinded Krabby to level 12 and then released Squirtle into the wild. I hear he started a gang near Vermillion. -I challenged Blue on Route 22, but alas!, Krabby only knew Bubble and Leer. Pidgey went down without much trouble, but Bulbasaur's Leech Seed and Tackle far outweighed Krabby's Bubble. -Realizing that he had me trumped, I headed to Viridian Forest. -I had to backtrack several times due to only having one attack, which inconveniently kept running out of PP. -I reached Pewter with a poisoned Krabby. He dropped to 1 health just outside of the Pokemon Center. I knew I wouldn't make it. I looked in my bag and realized that I had an Antidote. -After the ensuing rage, I challenged Brock and won easily. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc134/craterimpact995/solobluekrabby1.png -Still armed with just Bubble, I constantly had to rush back to Pewter to heal. Eventually I just bought some Potions. -Inside of Mt. Moon, I found Water Gun and taught it to Krabby so he'd have another attack. -A few minutes later he reached Level 20 and learned Vicegrip. -After handing the PokeNerd's ass to him, I took the Helix Fossil and swiftly proceeded to dump it into the PC. -I had a rematch against Blue on Nugget Bridge. -After defeating his Pidgeotto, Krabby learned the art of decapitation. A quick Guillotine left Blue's Abra headless. Rattata and Bulbasaur were defeated by Krabby's Vicegrip. -A battle with the Hiker near the Seismic Toss TM raised Krabby to level 28, allowing him to evolve into an even bigger crab. -I caught Bill engaging in auto-erotic furry cosplay. I thought perhaps it was a joke, but he assured me that he was "not joshing me." I left him inside the teleporter and swiped the S.S. Anne ticket from his desk. -I attempted to behead Misty's Pokemon, but they had radial symmetry, and thus no head. Therefore, I had Kingler squeeze the life out of them with Vicegrip. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc134/craterimpact995/solobluekrabby2.png -As Misty mourned her newly-deceased Pokemon, I pushed her into the pool and grabbed the nearby TM11. -I replaced Kingler's ability to spit bubbles with the ability to spit more bubbles. I think I'm gonna go get a Mew as an HM slave. |

Pokemon: Primeape Game: Yellow I don't have a real copy of yellow, so i'll be using a emulator (don't worry, not to cheat) and i'll most likely have a Mew as an HM slave. I'll start tomorrow. EDIT: I forgot that on an emulator, games go by quickly since you can hold down SPACE and it'll multiply the speed by like 5 million. So I got pretty far into my Mankey/Primeape challenge. Update 1 Spoiler:
That's my ending point for the day. Current: Snargles the Mankey Level 23 Scratch, Fury Swipes, Low Kick, Karate Chop Update 2 (Final One) Spoiler:
Sorry I didn't take more screenshots, I was too engrossed in playing :D I didn't record my final time, but it was around 17:40-18:00. Snargles' Final level: 83. http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/8049/defeatedmewtwo.png (Totally copied you ;D) |
