I'm not very good at explaining stuff, yeah.

I see. I just though once you use a Philosophers stone one someone they transform o.o

derozio July 12th, 2010 5:47 AM

No, no, that's just a misconception. ;]

But boy, wasn't that scene awesome? The scene which shows Fuhrer becoming a homunculus? The way he was screaming..I leiked it. xD;

But, a doctor with knowledge in using alchemy for healing with a Philosopher's Stone, can use its value in human lives as payment to the Equivalent Exchange, and in that way enhance his abilities, so that he can heal almost anything.

That's how it works.. I think. :S

I think you guys missed this ;_;

Yea, I know I missed that o.o

derozio July 12th, 2010 5:50 AM

I did as well. xD;

But still, that part's known to me so doesn't matter anyways. And well, I hope the second 'But, a doctor' thing clarifies Charizard's doubts. :3

Yup, it does xD

Now to be patient and watch o.o

Pokestick, good times. July 13th, 2010 2:25 AM

Soooo.... I wonder when it'll appear on YouTube...

derozio July 13th, 2010 7:22 AM

Yeah, I wonder that as well. I'd like to know how you feel about the propo...no, nothing. xD;

And well, which episode's going on for you, guys? Charizard, which ep? :o

I wonder how may-chan grew up so much...

Pokestick, good times. July 13th, 2010 8:45 AM

Philosopher's stone

magic

It's not her

they transmuted her

Photoshop

Time and genes...? ´:D

derozio July 13th, 2010 8:58 AM

But in just two effing years? So much of a change? xD;

Pokestick, good times. July 13th, 2010 9:03 AM

Two years?

You're saying Ed and Winry got their kids first thing after the proposal? I find that hard to believe.
They actually say it's to years afterwards? ;_;

derozio July 13th, 2010 9:38 AM

No wait, I think I've messed up. xD;

Right, so it's not two years. Even so, it's kind of hard to believe that may grew up so much. Especially her height. She's looks nearly as tall as Al now! D:

Pokestick, good times. July 13th, 2010 9:51 AM

Maybe just everyone else shrunk? :|

Charizard★ July 14th, 2010 7:42 AM

Do you think there will be another season? Or is it all over? D:

Hopefully Ed will still grow though xD

Pokestick, good times. July 14th, 2010 2:43 PM

I have heard rumours about a movie..

derozio July 16th, 2010 3:36 AM

Rumors? WHAT WHERE WHEN??? I'm dying to know, Phillip! D:

That's the old one, with the weird ending.

They say stuff on YouTube. Nothing official so far tho.

I see. So all together theres going to be two right? (1 old, the new one coming out.)

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 7:34 AM

You know, there was just some rumours on YouTube, I honestly don't think there will be a movie.

But if there is, then yes, there would be two.

Oh I see. How would you rate the first movie? :3

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 7:46 AM

It was great really, even though the storyline was odd.

But it's nothing in comparison to FMA:B.

Oh, I see.

Did it have anything to do with the Homunculi?

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 7:49 AM

Yeah, it was basicly the ending of the 2003 series, and there was still some Homunculi left.. but they all died in the movie.

Envy was last :P

Thanks for ruining it D:

I might go watch it later :3

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 8:01 AM

I think it's better to watch the original anime first if you haven't.

Otherwise it's gonna be REALLY confusing.

For instance, there are three homonculi that aren't in the real story, and other things.

I've seen most of the original anime though :3

derozio July 16th, 2010 8:08 AM

But if you have, you should've known about Pride, Sloth and Wrath. You should've heard their name at least. But you know, you said that you haven't heard even their name. xD;

I've heard of Sloth and Wrath but not Pride o.o

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 8:12 AM

Seeing "most of the original anime" won't be enough, I'm afraid.
It's in the last ten episodes or so actual progress is made.

(Wrath in FMAB is Pride in FMA, Sloth is different and Wrath is different.)

derozio July 16th, 2010 8:13 AM

Oh-kay, I understand. And well, I kind of agree with Phillip. You should watch it. [/haven't watched it himself, tho]

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 8:15 AM

(Wrath in FMAB is Pride in FMA, Sloth is different and Wrath is different.)

And that's just the homonculi changes.
In the 2003 anime, there isn't a Father. there's a different enemy xD;

derozio July 16th, 2010 8:15 AM

I dunno. It might be a little hard to re-watch it after getting the brotherhood experience.

Thats true.
But, I'll find a way :D lol

Can't wait to watch the new episode on Saturday :3

derozio July 16th, 2010 8:18 AM

I might try it out as well. But with great difficulty. I've got 'used to' brotherhood's better visuals and stuff. It came later, after all.

Which ep, Charizard?

I thought you already seen it o.o

And I think episode 24.

derozio July 16th, 2010 8:23 AM

I've read all the stuff. Not actually seen the anime. You know, I know like 97% of the stuff the original one had. So, yeah. It wasn't a problem for me to understand Shamballa.

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 8:24 AM

Yeah, FMAB is WAY better when it comes to graphics too.

It's hard finding the FMA episode online, too.

I do think they should be available in stores, however.

I've never seen a DVD of any FMA things in any stores, but I have seen the Manga series.

derozio July 16th, 2010 8:26 AM

I'm pretty sure you can find it online. It WAS one of the most famous anime back then, wasn't it? It HAS to be there somewhere.

Yea, but in Borders, its filled with Bleach, Naruto, and Death note now xD

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 8:26 AM

We'll we've got a store here that sells both the manga and anime :3

But I guess it's because manga is so utterly popular here in Sweden :D

Its not that popular over here any more. Bleach & Naruto still are at the top :P

When school starts I'm hardly going to be watching anime D:

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 8:38 AM

Nope, I'm still waiting.

I wouldn't be able to see it, with my Internet in this state, anyway...

derozio July 16th, 2010 8:38 AM

Yeah, I know. Btw, just started watching the first ep of the original series. The starting's pretty good, gotta say. (b")b

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 8:40 AM

How many episodes is the first season? Is it over 100 o.o

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 8:49 AM

Not first season, first version >:O

It's just forty-ish episodes. It's really short. And the storyline is very shortened, but there are alot of fillers that drag the story out. Like, they meet Greed at episode 30 or something xD

40 episodes is short? o.o I've seen anime that have been finished in 12 episodes o.o

derozio July 16th, 2010 8:51 AM

No, it isn't forty episodes actually. It's 51 episodes, to be precise.

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 8:53 AM

Oh, right.

But at least it's shorter than FMA:B's 64 episode :o

Charizard★ July 16th, 2010 8:54 AM

At least its not bad as Bleach or Naruto. o.o

I might get to it next summer though xD

Pokestick, good times. July 16th, 2010 8:55 AM

Naruto I don't know, but it's not that much better than Bleach. Bleach is OK :3

Bleach is 200+

They both are awesome.

derozio July 18th, 2010 5:43 AM

The homunculi forced then, didn't they? I wonder why, though...
..it's just that I've played the game 'Dual Sympathy' which follows the story of the 2003 anime. So, yeah, that's how I know about it. But I still don't know the reason behind it. Why would they force him to make a homunculus? :o

I'm not really into video/computer games. I'm more of a person who rather do hand on activities XD

I see, hey may I ask what part of India you live in? :O

V Homunculi in the 2003 series V
Spoiler:
I believe that in the 2003 series homunculus are created when a failed attempt at human transmutation takes place. If the freaky body is fed Philo-Stone (which is harder to make in the 2003 series for some reason, and is used up faster), it will turn into a homunculus.

For instance, Ed and Al's mother, Izumi's late child and Scar's brother's fiancé are turned into homunculi (Sloth, Wrath and Lust respectively). But as they're not the actual individuals, they only have fragments of the memories, and want to become humans (in contrary to FMAB, where only Envy wants to become human).
They also become weaker when coming in contact with parts of the body of whom their born for some reason, which is their only weakness in the 2003 series.

derozio July 18th, 2010 8:56 AM

But the 'getting weak when in the vicinity of their body' thing applies to every homunculus and not just Lust, Sloth and Wrath, yes?

Pokestick, good times. July 18th, 2010 9:06 AM

Well yeah, for instance Greed died that way in the old show.

But as you don't learn their past in the 2003 anime, I didn't bring those up.

derozio July 18th, 2010 9:09 AM

Yeah, I guess you were just trying to be precise. :3

I just saw the sixth episode today. Brotherhood tends to rush a little when compared to the original one. For example, Ed and Al spent a lot of time with Nina and were even present at the time of Hughes's daughter but nothing like that happened in Brotherhood.

Sorry if that didn't make much sense. I'm sleepy and drowsy. ;;

Pokestick, good times. July 18th, 2010 9:17 AM

Yeah, they sure were.

They showed months of their training over several episode where the original story only covered it in a couple of minutes xD
I mean, Hughes dies at episode 24 I think :P

Also, the Nina story is bigger in the 2003 series, and Tucker survives through the whole story as a Chimera expert for the Homunculi. (he's turned into a chimera himself :|.. And he wants the Philo-stone to create a duplicate of his late daughter. He's really freaky in the old show :<)

Charizard★ July 18th, 2010 9:18 AM

It brings back memories about Hughes death *goes into sad corner* ;;

Hughes death was pretty sad, he was one of my favorite characters.

Pokestick, good times. July 18th, 2010 9:23 AM

Hughes death is cooler in the 2003 series :3

he actually manages to cut off Envy's throat.. but well, he regenerates :|

Also, I like the fillers they had in the beginning of 2003, like the train incident, and that they showed when Ed saved the mining village :P

I agree, they tended to rush things in the beginning of the Brotherhood anime. But, they still did it well.

Poor Hughes :/

And just when I thought I had gotten over it, his daughter breaks my heart again. ;-;

derozio July 19th, 2010 3:00 AM

I didn't really cry, actually. I don't think I will while watching the 2003 anime either. But you know, I'd feel really bad once I watch Nina die. She has such an 'innocent' voice. In the jap dubs, I mean. Her voice..it makes me feel really sad that she dies. ;;

Hughes' death will be sad. Nina's death wouldn't be any less sad, though. At least for me.

Pokestick, good times. July 19th, 2010 4:35 AM

Both deaths are sad.

I didn't cry thou, I mean, I'm the kinda guy who cries when I've finished reading Love Hina in a couple of days (I think I died that day), and when Yui in AB" dies.. but Hughes and Nina was just sad :|

derozio July 19th, 2010 4:38 AM

Edward cries bitterly on her death. It was sad, really.

Pokestick, good times. July 19th, 2010 4:49 AM
