what do you think?
i'm just wondering, what do you guys think are the six most crucial types to put in a team? i'm trying to rebuild a brand new one on leaf green. thanks in advance
|
no certain "types" are cruial. I can be almost perfectly fine with pure water team, but just lacking physical tank. It's the roles of Pokemon within a team that matters.
|
Slowbro is a physical tank and a water type :-p
[email protected] EV: 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 SpDef Nature: + Def/SpDef/SpAtt, - Att/Speed Calm Mind Psychic/Yawn/Toxic/Thunder Wave Ice Beam/HP Electric/HP Grass Surf |
problem is that Slowbro is still weak to shadowball and will be crushed by shadow ball user... >>; where the standard tank got no physical weaknesses. Pure water types will have no physical weakness either, but none of them are that good in tanking. Swampert is as close as it gets.
|
Yep, and I just noticed that both Swampert AND Slowbro can both learn Curse.

Vaporeon - acid armor
But, yeah... a type I think is nice to have is either a flying or levitating Pokemon. It's nice to have a handy defense against the devastating earthquake. |

also bug hurts slowbor/king b/c its another se psyical attack. ya bug isnt as common but they can be surprising if they have a endure +speed berry hp bug beedrill. esp with swarm ativated.
|
But that's a Beedrill... >>: Plus, most bugs will die in one surf, besides possibly Heracross, the symbol of the most commonly used bug. Scizor is probably the 2nd most common... However, most of the time, it's HP Bug that hurts the most >>;
Gyarados is a terrible tanker. The only reason why it can survive one physical attack is due to intimidate. Its sp.def is actually a lot higher than physical. |
Hmm? I didn't meant Gyrados as a tank...

Name one physical sweeper who can learn earthquake but cannot learn rock slide...
It's not just type matching, but looking at WHO can learn the move, and what moves do you have against the general user of that move. For example, don't judge ice attacks to be coming from ice Pokemon. Ice beam comes from water types and normal types generally, so if you want a counter to ice beam, you not only need a Pokemon that's resistant to ice attacks but also something to knock out water/normal types REGARDLESS of how strong/weak that Pokemon is towards ice types. *hopes that it made sense* |
I wasn't talking about water types, I was talking about Pokemon in general.
