A thread to extend signitures?
 
is it breaking any rules if a thread were opened so people could extend there signature?
i mean like they could design a post and then link to it from there signature.

What you could do is make a little website, off of Freewebs, or Weebly or something.. and then link to it, like what I did with my signature. It's that link that says 'more'. They're typically called extended signatures.

It probably wouldn't catch on and be unpopular.

Yeah, we wouldn't allow that kind of thread. Do what Drew said and use a free website maker to have an extended signature.
