Shiny chaining?

Has anyone found a way to chain for shinies on HG/SS? I think I just found a new way, call me selfish, but if my method works, I might keep it to myself xP. Anyways I just wanted to know if anyone else had any methods for shiny chaining also? P.S. Mine isn't done, but I have an idea for it, and it worked twice, I should be able to get perfect chains soon.

Technically speaking it's impossible to chain for shinies in HG/SS. Chaining is a bit more complicated than simply running into the same Pokémon repeatedly. There are ways to chain within the Pokéwalker but that depends on steps taken and requires a lot of precise timing.

I thought the same, but I might have found the movement of shinies by looking at chaining of platinum. I'm testing it at the moment to see if it works at all.

There isn't movement. Once the battle is initiated, the game then asks itself what type of Pokemon will appear, and decides using a psuedorandom number. It does this for a few other traits that will make up the Pokemon. The number is independent of the last Pokemon seen or the tile it was seen in, as far as my understanding goes. I'd imagine Radar chaining in Platinum is almost identical, but generates a few random tiles that a Pokemon will definitely appear in, and this probably affects their chance of being shiny, but there still isn't a pattern for where they are appearing.

I'm working off of more than "well I think" here. It's literally impossible to chain shinies without the aid of a PokéRadar. You can purposely run into over 100 of the same species in a row and never see a shiny.

Yeah I know, I just can't really say anything about it without just saying what i'm doing. But it's kinda like a glitch, no cheats or anything. As far as I can see it has no negative effect, like cloning. I tested it five times and caught shines two of of five, not the best, but that's two shinies in.. ten minutes? The problem is, I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing with the glitch, but I think it could work.

Well until you ecplain what it is then people are just going to remain sceptical as there is no official way to chain shiny Pokemon in HGSS. =/ (That and others can test for themselves as well if so)... might leave open to see what it is for now.

Sadly it's confusing, nearly as confusing as IV breeding.. >_> Hopefully I'll be able to make a video of this when I can get it to work on a regular basis. I don't know why it does it, but the end result makes it seem like you have run into more pokemon than you have, so I just have to stay on the same grass tile, and for some reason I'm getting a lot of shinies. Like every few pokemon. Maybe it changes how often you run into shinies? Edit: I might just type what I'm doing, I just can't do it while I'm recording, the timing is impossible with the camera in my way. :l
