Swewe, the Sweet Pokémon Type: Normal Pokédex Entry: It's mint horns are sticky enough to grasp onto even the slippiest of surfaces. It leaves a colourful trail of sherbert wherever it goes. |

it's like Domo-kun's un-nervingly realistic cousin.
|
Ahaha, yeah! I made the angry one first and it was actually going to be a face on a fakemon I've yet to finish and it looked really out of place and realistic so I just cropped it and started editing it from there. Which probably explains why the angry one is the best.
Hm, it does look a bit like Domo. |
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff288/Sphericalice/Coyseed-2.png
Coyseed, the Seed Pokémon. Type: Grass/Flying Pokédex Entry: This timid Pokémon floats around, in search of a safe place to stay. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff288/Sphericalice/Swewe1.pnghttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff288/Sphericalice/PyrockShiny-1.pnghttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff288/Sphericalice/Golava1.pnghttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff288/Sphericalice/Dumdoh1.pnghttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff288/Sphericalice/Alien1.png Some shinies. :D Oh, and Swewe is now called Sherbaa. |

So I was looking through my stuff and found this Shellos East scratch. :D |

A bit lower we look at the back of the shellos. The first thing that came to my mind was the 'wing' in front. A black outline from the back seems to be cutting it off a bit. this makes it look a bit odd. Also the outline of the back is suddently getting a straight diagonal line downwards. The belly is also a bit too straight. Further the sprite looks fine to me. :p |
SHERBAA IS MY FAVE! I would love to see the preevos and evos in the future. (assuming you are)

Anyway a few new pieces for your viewing "pleasure:" http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff288/Sphericalice/Hibogeki.png A fusion between Hihidaruma, Boappu and Dageki. http://i53.*.com/25i4zdv.png For altariaking's ROM Hack, Iron and Stone. The first is based on excretion and the second a wrestler also made out of faeces. I'm not too proud with the latter's, Faeceking's, backsprite as it's pretty rigid. |
http://i55.*.com/dpcy9d.png
Monana, the Ripe Pokémon. Type: Grass Also for altariaking's ROM Hack, a pre-evolution for Tropius. It's completely scratch (well, it uses Tropius' BW palette), and I'm rather proud of it. |
I admit to not having any new work to show, so instead indulge in this video showing me make the Houndour/Umbreon/Poochyena fusion I posted a while back. :D
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ga_vJAUvxgY [I don't think the music is working, unfortunately. >:] For those who forgot what the sprite looks like at ordinary size: http://i56.*.com/w98xh4.png |
I present to you Sherbaa's evolution:
http://i55.*.com/6s7tia.png Tox, the Poison Candy Pokémon. Type: Normal/Poison Pokédex Entry: It leaves a trail of poisonous sherbert wherever it goes. Only fools try to eat the candy that grows on it's fur. |

If I'm honest I didn't make the connection with Hansel and Grettel until I read this post, XD. Thanks! Quote:
-- I think I might go back on my work and actually make The Adventures of Monokid into a game. In fact, I've been working on some serious sprites for it: http://i55.*.com/64iid2.png They're all 100% scratch. :D |
http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/005/9/4/bye_bye__colour_essence_by_sphericalice-d36h5od.png
This is a screenshot from the beginning cutscene (before any text has been added, mind you), showing Monokid as a baby, with his Colour Essence being taken away by the Painters. The cutscene is more of a storyboard, similar to in Kirby. For more info on Monokid, click --> me <-- :] -- e: http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/005/5/a/monokid_spritesheet_2_by_sphericalice-d36hga2.png MOAR MONOKID. So yeah, some new sprites for my game project. |

Some more stuff for my game. |

For Cilerba's game, Pokémon Turquoise, this is the intro sprite for the professor, Professor Almus. I used HGSS Oak as a base. |

Done some tweaking to Professor Almus. |
Really like the sprites of monokid - keep the good work up! ;)
As for the professr - I don't know what to say. xD He's so bold that his head is reflecting the light lol! Anyways, the lineart is good, it's just that i'm not too fond of bald characters. xD |
Your monokid work looks very nice. I remember your mockup of something not quite as advanced as what you have now and it would be great to see something like for your new work since these don't have much context. 'Cause you know, cute as these are, they need a cute environment. But yeah, I like these because they're simple, but still pleasing to look at for their cartoon-y characteristics.

I'm not 100% satisfied with the tiles, so any suggestions would be appreciated, especially for how I should go about making the texture of the mud part. e: A mockup screen, as requested. :D The text is just 7.5 Arial, and will most probably change (as with the text on the GUI). There's also some of the newer tiles I've done. o3o |
These are some nice sprites. On monokid however, the highlights seem to be in wierd places. I would put them in a blob-like form, towards the top of the head. The highlight over the eyes just look wierd.
|
I think that's simply the style, as they all have the highlighting in that location, and the facial features are independant of the lighting effects. I rather like it, it gives a cutesy appearance.
