Signature Pokemon.

Very Basic. Whats you favorite/most used/signature pokemon?

If you cant think of what it is, try these

- A pokemon that is always in your team
- You've trained up from an egg
- You train up every game

Mine is definetly crobat (Chrono). He's level 100 now, and has been since diamond :)

Edit: I also have a second, My Murkrow (Mark) travels with me and does all the fun stuff (Pokeathlon, etc)

TheGnarles June 29th, 2010 8:45 PM

My Jolteon Static! He is level 70 now and i always use him! the only down fall is the move set... I Have Thunderbolt, Shock Wave, Thunder Wave, and Quick Attack i want to get a better move set but i really like this one and the "recommended" ones are just dumb to me...

Tiax June 29th, 2010 9:10 PM

Defiantly Dusknoir. Everything about it is just straight up awesome. If only he could learn Shadow Force or something strong like that. Shadow Punch and Shadow Sneak just don't cut it...

xDaisuke0 June 29th, 2010 9:13 PM

Probabbbbblyyyy...
Ghastly? Yupp, :D

redsaber5859 June 29th, 2010 9:17 PM

SHINY FLYGON AND FLYGON
TOXICROAK AND SHINY TOXICROAK
SWAMPERT

skiffz June 29th, 2010 9:18 PM

My signature Pokemon has to be my Shiny Murkrow named Violet or my Shiny Pichu named Circuit. They are my only shinies and I have raised them from eggs without hacks. I recieved them through the masuda method. They are both level 100 after being used throughout platinum and heartgold.

Eurydice June 29th, 2010 9:21 PM

mine would probably be Haunter. i have had them since the first games and i never evolve it into gengar.

BeachBoy June 29th, 2010 9:25 PM

Hey, great thread, but I'm going to move this to General Pokemon Gaming so it covers all the games. (unless there's already one there in which case Sydian can smack me)

gwarne June 29th, 2010 9:25 PM

Definately Cutter ( My Scyther) I catch one and name it Cutter in every game I play. Usually get him to 100.

Niprop June 29th, 2010 9:37 PM

Porygon has been my MVP since Yellow, and I still harness it along with Porygon2, and now Porygon-Z in order to build up my party. Porygon2 and Z together form my two most powerful Pokémon on my team, on every team that includes them.

BHwolfgang June 29th, 2010 9:50 PM

I'd have to say my Blaziken. He's been with me ever since Sapphire. Even though he's in the Orre region right now, I can still remember all the good times I had with him.

During my run in the Hoenn region, I always make it a necessity to obtain a Flygon as quickly as possible. <3

Lickitricky June 29th, 2010 9:58 PM

Definitely Milotic- a beautiful thing and pretty awesome stats: and catching Feebas and evolving it gives me something to do~

BleuVII June 29th, 2010 9:59 PM

Hmm... my signature pokemon would probably be an Electric Type. I've really only played two games, and I had different signature pokemon in each.

Diamond - Luxray. I had a team consisting of all 3 starters plus Luxray, but of the four, he was on my team the most.
SoulSilver - Electivire and Magmortar. I raised them from eggs as my "alternate starter" duo, and it is the most fun playthrough I have done. I never go anywhere without those two, and they are inseparable.

Though, I also have a fondness for Pachirisu, and use one in my team much longer than I really should based on its stats. It is my pokemon catcher.

Air Pichu June 29th, 2010 10:17 PM

For me I would say Raichu, always on my team, but in competitive plsy, never (unless I have to).

Bamboo Basara June 29th, 2010 10:25 PM

Definately my Marowak. I hatched him from an egg and fought with him by my side through every step of my journey. He's an absoloute power house, not much can take him down.

I've also had two former signature Pokemon, both of which are in retirement right now. Tropius was my starter on Pokemon Pearl and still resides there, and Lapras was my main Pokemon during my first run through on Heart Gold. I traded him to my Pearl to keep watch over my other Pokemon.

JustinDestruction June 29th, 2010 10:34 PM

NIDOKING! He has been my favorite since the first days of my Pokémon gaming with Yellow Version.

sirboulevard June 29th, 2010 11:28 PM

I actually have two signature Pokemon.

First is my Starter Typhlosion: Ty.
The second is my extremespeed Dragonair: Dylan.

I've used these guys for so long that ive developed full backstories for them

Ty's very patient and calm & always tries to stop conflict whenever possible, but when he goes into battle he destroys everything in his path.

Dylan is the reckless one with a hot temper who fights at the slightest impulse (often resulting in a hold back from Ty)

These guys are mainstays of my team and I feel naked going into battle with out them.

xxChazxx June 29th, 2010 11:35 PM

Arcanine, I always have to have one.

Xadet June 29th, 2010 11:58 PM

My Signature Pokemon would Probably have to be..
Growlithe.
Everytime I Start a Game, I Make an Egg from another game.
And Transfer the level 1 Growlithe Over, I Don't even care about the moves it knows, and all that.
I Make sure that I have Growlithe every single Time.
This Time right now is the first time I've never had a Growlithe with me. :\
I Miss him. ;[ Right now I'm working on Catching one instead of Egg one, So i Don't gotta level him from the Start, Since I'm a bit into the game already.

hack1 June 30th, 2010 12:01 AM

1. Sally the Salamence. Captured in Emerald and trained in Leaf Green.

2. Birdy the Pidgey. I had one in my FR Nuzlocke run, FR Monotype Flying and HG.

Dr. Faustus June 30th, 2010 12:17 AM

In the 4th Gen games, I always had Bulette, my female Garchomp in my Battle Frontier / Tower teams.
In the 3rd Gen (I only started playing Pokemon during the 3rd Gen), I always had Gojira, my male Tyranitar in my Battle Frontier teams.

Rengoku June 30th, 2010 12:27 AM

Most of my Pokemon have been with me for ancients.
If I have to choose, well, it've to be my Charizard.
I love them since Yellow version.
My current Charizard was the starter I received from Pro. Oak in Firered.
It's been with me since FR's release.

Imperfect June 30th, 2010 12:45 AM

I'm a little nooby to actually call what I have a signature pokemon.

But every time I have played I've had a Gyarados in my team, so...it'll be that I reckon.

Jirachi² June 30th, 2010 12:46 AM

My Signature Pokemon

As you can probably tell, I absolutely love Jirachi. Unfortunately, due to me not having Wi-Fi and living in Australia I wasn't able to pick up a Jirachi till recently from Big W, but once I got my hands on my precious little Modest Jirachi, it hasn't left my party.

- Jirachi² -

Essence June 30th, 2010 12:53 AM

Cherrim. I always have a different cute nickname each time though. Oh and Steve the Riolu. I will not allow evolution though :)

Same here, My Spectre is on every single one of my teams.
But also since my leaf green ive bread my ninetails with egg moves and has gone through all of my games straight through to my soul silver.

ELVISTHEGUY June 30th, 2010 1:28 AM

i would say aerodactyl i got it as a fossile on leafgreen i then ev trained it its now a beast and stabs most leads and helps me in many battles and tournaments

.Kaiser June 30th, 2010 4:30 AM

Red - My Raticate Rattata Duo. I love them.
Gold - Scyther
Crystal - Sneasel
Silver - Typhlosion
Platinum - Luxray, Staraptor

Nikorasu June 30th, 2010 5:02 AM

Ehh... Right now its Slowking xD

c3rad June 30th, 2010 1:18 PM

Ever since Red, I've always loved Venusaur. I have one in my LG that I plan on bringing to my Heart Gold.

I still have my original Venusaur from Red on my Pokemon Stadium cartridge too.

Charizard★ June 30th, 2010 1:28 PM

Dragonite has always been on my team, no matter what game.

NickofTime June 30th, 2010 1:31 PM

Yeah ever since D/P i have bibarel on my team
which i name
MA BEAVER MF
he really is the king of all stat raisers =)

rndm. June 30th, 2010 1:49 PM

Uhm... I don't really have one, since I use different pokemon on each playthrough to keep it interesting.

...I have this one Linoone, though. It has been in my Diamond team ever since I migrated it from FR. (Got it to FR from a friend at lv.85, trained it there to 100.) But it's not on my team because I like Linoone. It's there because it's very useful in many ways. I use it for chaining (Covet, 40 PP), item stealing, general killing+Exp. Share training and most importantly, pickupping.

XxRogueTrainerxX June 30th, 2010 1:56 PM

I don't really have a signature Pokémon at the moment. Although I do use Houndoom a lot...

Faline July 1st, 2010 3:50 AM

Eh, Signature Pokemon? ;

Eevee is always in my team all the time since it's pretty cute and it can evolve to any element I want. :3

Eliminator Jr. July 1st, 2010 5:53 AM

I usually have a Quagsire and a Crobat somewhere on my team while I'm playing through the story part of the game (ie. before defeating the Elite Four). As for afterwards, I always have a Victreebel and Xatu on my team.

Sydian July 1st, 2010 11:45 AM

I don't have a signature Pokemon game wise, but I think we all know that when you think of me, you think of Smeargle. I do try to have one on every game though. I won't lie, haha. It just seems like a crying shame not to have one! I don't always have it on my in game team, though. Just gotta have it!

BillySwane July 1st, 2010 1:33 PM

Raichu. Without a doubt.

I've had Raichu in my party since Red and still keep one in Soul Silver. He is pretty much my main battler aswell.

chickenofunity July 2nd, 2010 9:14 AM

I don't have a proper signature pokemon, but I always use Eeveeloutions in the games they are in. I also always have a water pokemon in my party, except right at the beggining of games. It's my signature type. (I can't do monotypes though. :P)

myrrhman July 2nd, 2010 10:24 AM

My favorites are Starmie and Lapras. In Red and Blue, I would get either one of them, and they would know Surf, Ice Beam, Psychic, and Thunderbolt. Either one would get half of them with a STAB bonus for half of the attacks.

Silhouette July 2nd, 2010 2:49 PM

My signature Pokemon would be either Cacturne or Flygon. Either one, I suppose.

Timbjerr July 2nd, 2010 2:56 PM

I've had a Confuse Ray + Double Team Stalling Crobat in every non-challenge playthrough since my first Crystal file, so it might as well be my signature pokemon by now. :P

My most recent one in HG was a Jolly Crobat with Confuse Ray/Double Team/Fly/Cross Poison. >:D

DragonOfDarkness July 3rd, 2010 7:48 AM

My signature pokemon?...well in fire red it was definetly celebi. I loved that thing. My stupid brother erased it though.

In every other game i've played I have tryed to get a dragonair.

I rarely let them evolve, unless I have more then one. If I have a Dragonair It never leaves the party.

Pokemon Diamond Party:

Dragonair = Male = Jilocasin: lvl. 67 - 100 = Item: Dragon Fang
Garchomp = Male = Crispin: lvl. 60
Espeon = Female = Kairi (make a smart comment and i'll find you!) = Lvl. 65
Celebi or Lugia (whichever I get first) = lvl. 60 (Celebi) or lvl. 77 (Lugia)

No matter what Dragonair always knows outrage, and in D/P I always teach it Draco Meteor. He is amazing. Jilocasin never fails me.

Jilocasin moveset:
Outrage
Draco Meteor
Surf
Any Fire or Electric type move.

JackGamer July 3rd, 2010 11:48 AM

I don't have a signature Pokemon D:
Everytime I've restarted Platinum/Diamond I've had a Luxray (Thunder), though.

Christopher July 3rd, 2010 1:14 PM

umm my signature pokemon is quite literally Medicham I have one on every team since ruby
Crobat is a close 2nd though

Numbers July 4th, 2010 11:51 AM

I have two, Charmander and Squirtle. I've had them with me through every game :)
I let Charmander into Charizard most times but I never let Squirtle evolve, ever! (except one time where he accidentally evolved when I was looking away from the screen but I switched off my DS after that and lost about an hour of gameplay :()

Pokémon Ranger ✩ Moriarty July 4th, 2010 1:32 PM

Bulbasaur every time I replay Kanto.
Tauros or Miltank every time I replay Johto.
Zigzagoon every time I replay Hoenn.
Turtwig every time I replay Sinnoh.

Blue Nocturne July 5th, 2010 10:59 AM

Since it was introduced, my signature pokemon has been Sceptile. My final team in the games is never without one. In addition, I usually have a Salamence, but I wouldn't call it a signature pokemon as much as Sceptile, as i frequently get rid of it in order to evolve things, which i never do for Sceptile, he's always there.

skyluigi2 July 5th, 2010 11:29 AM

Snorlax (from HG, but i have trained one in pearl, leafgreen, etc.) / Chimecho (i have one on every game :D)

Purple Nurple July 5th, 2010 12:02 PM

Always a Gastly evolution line - APART from Hoenn, when it's definately Alakazam.

Hatenko July 5th, 2010 12:19 PM

Generally cute, fairy Pokemon such as Miltank, Clefable, Jynx, Blissey, Azumarill, and of course Wigglytuff.

Blaze The Hedgehog July 5th, 2010 12:32 PM

Eevee. Always usually, I don't want to evolve it, but if I have to, it's always Umbreon. I'm trying to get some egg moves by breeding too. But my signature Pokemon for the 1st/2ng gen. was Venusaur. Since then, It's always been Eevee.

Captain Riolu July 5th, 2010 12:47 PM

Creepy. For reasons I cannot say.....

My signature Pokemon would have to be Togekiss. Mine has never let me down.

Crimmage July 5th, 2010 1:17 PM

My signature pokemon has to be Donphan.

Ever since I saw it in the first movie, it's unknown status captivated me. A pachyderm that is part wheel?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Although my friends know me for using a MUK effectively (That's gotta be 2nd favorite <3)

Amew July 5th, 2010 5:40 PM

Obviously for me, it's Vulpix. However, I hevily used a Breloom in my second time though Emerald. I named it (Breloom) Luigi.

.Silence. July 5th, 2010 6:18 PM

I've somehow always ended up with a Gyarados being on my team since Yellow, but I don't really consider it my signature Pokemon. I have a lot...like the Rayquaza I caught in Sapphire. Another one is Origin Forme Giratina, and then there's Salamence. And Tyranitar. And Blaziken. And Jolteon....and
._. I'm just going to stop now.

MareBear July 5th, 2010 6:25 PM

Well, I don't have a signature Pokemon per se but I always use my starter (normally a Fire type) on my team. Now that I think about it though, I've always used an Alakazam on my team 'cause he's fast and can OHKO a lot of other trainer's Pokemon.

Droidz July 5th, 2010 7:19 PM

Mine used to be Electivire but now i don't really have one anymore. I haven't played the game/s in a while.

mew² July 5th, 2010 11:30 PM

I would have to say Gengar.
Ever since I got Pokemon Red, I solod every game with Gengar.
Now in my Platinum, I have a Shiny Gengar I always use, even after solod it.

grey†fish July 6th, 2010 9:26 AM

My Signature Pokémon definitely has to be:

NIDOKING!!!
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/thumb/c/c6/034Nidoking.png/210px-034Nidoking.png←(he's sooo G)

He's been with me ever since the days of RBY, and has accompanied me through everything! (except Hoenn :\)…

Other high ranking ones include:
Crobat,
Politoed (I actually evolved him with the intention of him becoming a Poliwrath the first time… I was like: wtf this thing's awesome!),
and from Hoenn:
Aggron! (although he's just a sub for da king)

Amore July 6th, 2010 9:35 AM

Lol, so with Politoed, you're like Gold in PokeSpe...

I have pokemon I like, but ones that could be considered:

Salamence
Dragonite
Kingdra
Flygon
Altaria
Absol
Flareon
Ninetales
Arcanine
Vulpix
Gyarados (easily obtainable, always have one, cept in Hoenn)

However, my main signature pokemon is.....

.....Donphan! I was so proud when I found a Phanphy in Emerald....then almost cried when it evolved. But, he grew on me, and I traded in my SoulSilver for a HeartGold just so I could get one....

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ July 7th, 2010 7:07 AM

Definitely Persian. I have her in every game I can get my hands on a Meowth, and she's among my most heavily used Pokemon in-game.

empty streets July 7th, 2010 7:23 AM

I had only one signature & favorite pokemon - Houndoom.
But recently I fell in love with my starter, Croconaw. I won't let it evolve, I love it that way.

It's hard to choose, because I really like all of the pokemon from my current team. Crobat, Milotic and Houndoom have been teammates pretty long, since Diamond and even fought competitively in wi-fi battles.
Three new members have joined us since HGSS came out - Ampharos, Espeon and Croconaw. All EV-trained <3

Yeah, I remember! You sent me a cute little Meowth as a gift ^^

Calvan July 7th, 2010 8:18 AM

My level 100 Charizard Darigah. Has been with me since I picked up leaf Green in 2009.
And My Shiny Camerupt, Karkatoa. Though it's only level 55 at current.
I've also got soft spots for My Swampert and Feraligatr Named Breaker and Crusher. As well as anything Mudkip related. I've recently been using My Torterra, Galapagos a lot.

superpika237 July 7th, 2010 8:19 AM

It changes from game to game, but now it's probably Butterfree, weirdly enough.

GoldvsRed July 7th, 2010 4:19 PM

Porygon!.. Not. I've actually only ever trained one Porygon, in Platinum... I never really transfer my Pokemon between games, meaning that my signature Pokemon varies between each. In every single case, my Starter is my main Poke. When it comes to spin-offs and online games, I have a tendency to attract a lot of Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar.

EJ July 7th, 2010 4:57 PM

Some sort of water pokemon is usually what I have. SO far, I would say Torterra is a signature pokemon for me. I've used him in so many playthroughs.

Le Creep! July 7th, 2010 6:05 PM

My level 41 Raichu, mind I just started a new game.

Otherwise, it would be Dragonair.

Sgt Shock July 7th, 2010 6:12 PM

My signature pokemon has always been Elekid/Electrabuzz/Electrivire combo. I've always trained on up as soon as I could get one and it end up being my favorite. :D

Dawn July 7th, 2010 6:44 PM

My signature Pokemon would have to be Zapdos.

Professor W. July 7th, 2010 6:54 PM

Well, my mom would'nt let me have a DS or other portable system until 'bout a year and a half ago, so I've only had 3 Pokemon games, Platinum, Platinum 2 (lost first one :'(), and Heartgold. In Platinum 1, my signature was Kricketune. Not my most powerful, but my true signature (still miss her). In Platinum 2, my Torterra is freakin awesome, (PKRS, Speed IV, Synthesis, Wood Hammer, Earthquake, Stone Edge) who is very hard to defeat, and the ony time she usually faints is in the Battle Tower (Because everybody wins by good luck there). In HG, it's either Togekiss or Feraligatr. Don't know if I'll transfer any to White, but I think I'll transfer Togekiss.

~Prof. W.

XxRogueTrainerxX July 7th, 2010 7:00 PM

I've used Lucario and Absol more times than I can count.

Hypno July 7th, 2010 7:23 PM

Hypno, I always have him on my team on every single game, and Alakazam too.

shininglatios217 July 7th, 2010 8:43 PM

Mine's Latios. After I got one from a trade, I started collecting them. It has always been on my team since Fire Red. Now it's on Pokémon Pearl and I will transfer it to Pokémon Black.

RedJoker™ July 7th, 2010 9:13 PM

mine's is elekid. I love this pokemon i have used it countless number of times

loucas July 8th, 2010 6:00 AM

mine's weavile, named shia, it's not perferct, it's even brave in nature, it's just that, i've raised it myself, hehe and i nicknamed it, i just can't let it go, it's always in my party, in platinum,

Åzurε July 8th, 2010 9:45 AM

I like having a Lucario in my team, so I get the Riolu egg as fast as possible. Once I cheated up a Riolu as my starter on Platinum. That was fun.

Him aside, on one of my files I have a Lv.100 Charizard named Logi That's been around since my first playthrough of FireRed, who I sometimes team up with my Lv.100 nameless Espeon from Gale of Darkness.

Azure-Supernova July 8th, 2010 11:09 AM

My Nidoking (named Cronus and his missus Rhea) is my favourite and has followed me all the way from Leaf Green to HeartGold, though he's in retirement now and his son is taking the spotlight as I train him up. Shame his son isn't shiny too, blue Nidoking FTW!

~Charizard_43~ July 8th, 2010 12:24 PM

As my name states my fave is and always has been Charizard :D He was my 1st starter way back in the original Blue for Gameboy and is always on my team. Not as strong as he once was but still a solid Pokemon for me.

xPsychosocial July 8th, 2010 4:32 PM

It used to be Pikachu I stopped using it in my main after Emerald though.

Elyssa July 9th, 2010 1:25 AM

Espeon, though I could never use it in Firered, but it has been in my D/P/Pt and HG team like, always.

@lpha July 9th, 2010 2:16 AM

My first Pokemon Caught in the wild in Ruby was Ralts, and ever since, was my favorite.
now he's a Gallade in Pokemon Platinum, also he's also paired with my newly caught Ralts which eventually evolved into a Gardevoir.
and now i am trying to hatch the egg that those two made.

AvatarMew July 9th, 2010 2:44 AM

Mine would be Croconaw or Flaaffy <3

Brendino July 10th, 2010 12:14 AM

My signature Pokemon for most games is Pidgeot, except for Sapphire where it's always my Aggron.

Sweet Visions July 10th, 2010 3:50 AM

Meh, I don't really have signature Pokemon, but on SoulSilver I really like my starter Kira (Cyndaquil, now Typhlosion). He's always in my party and is the strongest Pokemon I have. On Platinum it's definitely my Staraptor, I caught him as a Starly early on and I just love him.

twinsandvikes777 July 10th, 2010 7:32 AM

I'd have to go with my Aggron. I caught it in ruby, my first game
(I later got Crystal and Yellow) and trained up Aron as soon as I caught it more then my starter. He ended up being almost a solo runner, as he was 30+ levels higher then the rest of my pokes.

Lickeh Lickeh July 10th, 2010 8:12 AM

My Lickilicky, traded Golduck to that man in Fire Red to get Marc the Lickitung, then exported it over to DP and then to Platinum. Marc is very special to me as it was my first EV trained Pokémon and actually had good IV's. I guess he's the one that got me into competitive battling.

Andrut July 10th, 2010 10:00 AM

I have a Dewgong i have since lv.1 in Platinum. I send an egg from HeartGold to Platinum, so it had Platinum ID and obeyed me.
My Vespiquen is also in my party almost all the time. I got a Combee by GTS and bred it.

Bello July 10th, 2010 11:54 AM

The avatar says it all. Mine was Charizard when I started playing (R/B/Y), then I fell in love with Typhlosion when G/S/C came out, but then once I discovered Swampert, he was my favorite Pokemon.

XEL July 10th, 2010 5:34 PM

Sunny the Charizard, my first ever pokemon. Just like Pikachu's been with Ash, Sunny has been with me since 1998. There was Blue, then Ruby, then Emerald, then Diamond. I've always found a way to remake that Charizard :) He's also the only pokemon I always get to lvl 100 as to make it appear as the same Charizard in every game.

Missingno.7-4468 July 13th, 2010 7:24 AM

Currently, it would be my Bibarel, Mr. Beaves.

*Doesn't care that most people only like Bibarel as an HM Slave*

Kairyu444 July 14th, 2010 1:05 PM

Silver: Togetic
Crystal: Togetic
Platinum: Togekiss
HeartGold: Togekiss, Then another Togekiss (nicknamed NUMBER 5)

But I've always liked Nidoking; and my main attacker is Electivire. Those 3 are now ever-present!

LyokoGirl5000 July 15th, 2010 10:16 PM

In Sinnoh, my Signature Pokemon is Crobat. I've had a Crobat on my team since Pearl.

In Johto, my Signature Pokemon is Dragonite.

In Kanto, it's Pikachu.

I'm too diverse with Hoenn to have one there.

Yes, my Signature Pokemon change by region.

Kip July 16th, 2010 2:27 AM

Ever since my first Red game (which now come to think of it was something like 11 years ago :O) I've always had a Raichu in my party for each successive game.

I've never been fond of the idea of trading a Pokémon from my previous game to my new game, so I always train one up from the Pichu stage if I can.

Each Raichu has always been nicknamed Thunder!

rocky505 July 16th, 2010 3:06 AM

Mine is Umbreon. I loved Umbreon since the day i first saw it. I usually always evolve my Eevee into one.

I think mine has always been Snorlax, from the days of Blue when I first met him / her sleeping in my way.

Well, here's my signature Pokemon...

Yellow-Nidoking.
I had extreme trouble defeating Brock with Pikachu and Pidgey, but I was young then, type advantages meant nothing to me. But then a friend told me that Nidoran learnt DoubleKick, and said it was really strong. It was the first time I had beaten a GymLeader, and from then I used nothing but Nidoran, who evolved into Nidorino, and then Nidoking.

Silver-Dragonite
My highest level Pokemon that I trained from birth. I won a Dratini at the GameCorner, then I bred it. Soon I was taking on the EliteFour with just my Dragonite. Ahh... Good times.

Ruby-Marshtomp
While I had many other Pokemon, Marshtomp was by far the most commonly used, however, this was closely matched with a Flygon on a later game, which I used almost as much.

Emerald-Nincada+Shedinja
I can't decide between the two, mainly because they were often used together in double battles. Shedinja prepared some support moves while Nincada swept in for the kill, a perfect combination.

FireRed-Nidoking+Nidoqueen
I had to for the nostalgia, but since the addition of DoubleBattles, I felt the need to add Nidokings counterpart to the team. Their pure power was unstopable, and their moves worked in perfect unison.

Diamond-Empoleon
Ah, Empoleon... I borrowed Diamond from a relative, so my time with Empoleon was short-lived, but in that time it smashed through the Gymleaders and had moves effective enough to compete in a contest.

Pearl-Torterra
At first I chose Piplup, in an attempt to repeat the previous Empoleons effectiveness. But it failed to measure up. So I restarted the game, and chose Turtwig. While it failed to live upto Empoleon on Diamond, he was one of the most reliable fighters I've seen in the Pokemon games.

Platinum-Rampardos/Bastardos
Throughout Diamond and Pearl, I tested both the ancient Pokemon. So I traded in both of them to Platinum and quickly became two of my favourite fighters. Nuf said.

SoulSilver-Sunflora
Don't ask why, but as soon as I saw the Sunkern at the park, I had to catch it. Unfortunatly, I failed to find a Sunstone, so it reached Lv.35 before evolving. Eventually I gave up looking and checked the internet, and soon evolved it into a Sunflora.

Sunnyday, Synthesis, Solarbeam, Chlorophil combo-Woot...

So currently, it's Sunflora (Still don't ask). I just hope they're available in Isshu!

Pearl: It would have to be my Luxray. I fell in love with it's Intimidate ability, and, overall, love Electric types.

Platinum: I got yet another Shinx, and was disheartned when it had Rivalry instead of Intimidate. I decided on a whole new different team, and eventually used a Girafarig, which was the number 1 'go-to' Pokémon in tough situations.

Soul Silver: Magnezone. I also had an Ampharos, but for the most part, Magnezone was the Pokémon I always use, especially since it learnt Magnet Rise.
