Yeah but we don't usually see character death or characters about to die... it's just sort of... implied.

edit: wait derk isn't terminal like... going to die for sure and not chicken pox?

Haza August 3rd, 2010 11:29 PM

The rumor that posted the legendary types was fake... there was not Psychic/Fire... not sure if anyone has pointed that out yet

Well actually Victini is 000 so that rumor could still be true. Im assuming you are talking about that unlisted pokedex type rumor.

I was about to say that :)
Wasn't it their pokedex numbers, and since Victini is 000 then it could still be true...

Oh, well... I'm still not even sure. I thought those numbers were National Dex numbers

wasn't there supposed to be a Bug Gym? (that Hive lookin building)
but then again i guess that place was never confirmed to be a Gym, Right?

If it is true... Sounds pretty cool!! =DD

I remember that place being called a factory or smelting facility in a translation.

Haza August 4th, 2010 12:45 AM

It did have gym theme music though... I'm thing it's false anyway. Too detailed.

According to this Video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSQB4ZIbD24&playnext=0&videos=hYVgv21SYaM

Shikijika, the little pink deer, can learn Energy Ball!

This helps support it's branch evolution theory and it also shows that its a Special Attacker.

Just to remind you:

The rumor was that Shikijika could evolve into a Normal/Fire, Normal/Ice, Normal/Grass and Normal/Psychic type. Many people are assuming it will be based on seasons.

I theorize if a pokemon evolves or appears based on seasons, the change of seasons will be weekly.

That's cool i love that move.

Do you think its possible that it just changes form, not evolving? so shikijika would be normal grass in the spring, then normal/fire n the summer, etc.

also, im not sure if this pertains to all deer, but don't male deer lose their antlers in the spring/summer, and they grow back within a few months? (fall/winter) if that's true i'm guessing its going to be a form change, since it makes more sense. that way i don't have to catch a few of them to get the types, if that's even true to begin with.

The thing is Shikijika appears to be too weak and small to be a non evolution form pokemon.

yeah, but so was shaymin. If they do give it a form change, maybe they could give it the "sky-min" treatment and beef those stats up a bit. But, a strong, usable evo wouldn't be bad either.

Random B&W info: Bulbapedia just came out and said the Pre-national dex pokes will ALL be Gen 5'ers. :0 wow.

That info was from a Junichi Masuda blog post.

Shikijinka could actually change forms and have an evolution that also changes forms.

Bluerang1 August 4th, 2010 2:18 AM

Oh so Shikijinka is our Seasonal Pokemon, love it. That's really cool. I wonder if there'll be other Seasonal exclusive Pokemon. I don't want it to be weekly but every 3 months according to your DS calendar so some can manipulate it if they wish.

I rather not wait 3 months for a certain pokemon. I know I could cheat but I don't like having to cheat to get what I want. To me changing the day or month on my DSi would be cheating.

I also have a feeling that the leaf bug might evolved based on seasons. He could be a different color or different typing all together because of his leaf body.
- Reddish Brown in the Fall
- White in the Winter
- Pink in the Spring
- Green in the Summer

That would be too damn awesome for words... I wonder when that Mater Document Corocoro issue is going to leak, probably Sunday.

rocky505 August 4th, 2010 2:55 AM

Hopefully it shows people that Shikijinka is not a stantler pre evo -_- Comparing both of their sugimori images i see nothing alike. Shikijinka is shown smiling and I have never seen a stantler smile before they even have different ears, tails and a different color.

The only character that was ever sick, so far as I can recall, is that little boy in Canalave city whom you had to help take out of Darkrai's nightmare(it's not part of the event specifically, but it does sort of hint into it). So in that case, if that's counted then I guess that has been done before, only to a certain extent, though.

Either way if it DOES happen, hopefully it is handled... nicely rather than what I'm thinking. D:

Planetes. August 4th, 2010 3:10 AM

these are from pokejungle, I think most of you will be excited at RUMOR, number 8

Gym 1: Water gym lead by Leader Kenta who is a kid in a sun hat
Gym 2: Ground gym lead by Leader Asuka who wears a short skirt and glasses
Gym 3: Ice gym lead by Leader Hayate who rides a snowboard while wearing a snowman costume (totally rad idea)
Gym 4: Grass gym lead by Leader Aloe who we’ve already seen
Gym 5: Poison gym lead by Leader Masaru who is in a wheelchair and has a terminal illness
Gym 6: Fire gym lead by Leader Yoko who is a cheerleader with red hair and also does Pokemon Musical competitions
Gym 7: Dragon gym lead by Leader Makato who is a rich kid
Gym 8: Dark gym lead by Leader Nanami who wears a mask to hide their face.

Ho-Oh August 4th, 2010 3:23 AM

If you read back a little, these rumours were already mentioned http://www.pokecommunity.com/showpost.php?p=6034084&postcount=833 :)

But still, interesting.

Crysta Blade August 4th, 2010 4:24 AM

I say those Gym Leader rumours are bogus. There's already a character called Nanami (Daisy Oak) in the Japanese games.

So its impossible for people to have the same names?

Well important Characters always have unique names so they don't get confused with anyone.

I guess Daisy Oak isn't that important (and hasn't been seen in god knows how long) but I don't think they'd reuse her name.

pokewalker August 4th, 2010 5:55 AM

maybe is Daisy Oak imigrated to Isshu? Who knows?
