Will HG or SS be compatible with the original DS?
Been reliving the glory days of pokemon with an emulator on my iPhone. This chain of events caused me to dig up my DS out of a shoebox in my closet. After a thorough de-dusting and cleaning, I was jumping for joy, hoping my copy of Diamond was still in reach. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it, and this is why I am posting this now.
Are all the features of Pokemon HG/SS compatible with the old school, brick DS? Such as Pokewalker functionality, and WiFi capability? I am an avid runner, and am willing to clip that little device onto my shorts and run for miles if it means as much for Pokemon. ^^ |
All the features you mentioned are usable on the original DS.

Well, it is a Nintendo DS game...

IIRC the Pokéwalker communication is built within the game card itself, and isn't limited to the system. The Nintendo DS also has Wi-Fi compatibility as I've done it myself with SS many times.
The Nintendo DS-Brick varies very little from the DS Lite/DSi in terms of computers and mechanics. The DS Lite is basically the original DS shrunk down with a brighter screen. You can still play all the same games and do the same stuff on it, though. |
Yes it is, please use the Q&A thread next time plz!!! I like see alot of these lol, but yeah my friends use them on an original ds so ya
Not trying to mini mod |
