Possible team?
Mr. Mime @ leftovers
nature -attack + sp def/sp attack Substitute, calm mind, psychic, baton pass Exeggutor @ leftovers nature +sp attack -def solar beam, psychic, leech seed/sunny day, hp fire/sleep powder houndoom @ lum berry/Salac Berry nature +speed -def flamethrower, crunch, solar beam, sunnyday/endure Ninjask @ leftovers nature +speed -sp attack Subsitute, double team, swords dance, baton pass Breeloom @ Liechi berry nature +attack - sp attack Substitute, spore, focus punch, leech seed Golem/Steelix @ leftovers nature +speed - sp attack Earthquake, hp steel, rock slide, exlposion/double edge this is for baton passing for special and psycial sweepers, while the pokemon are not necessarily depending on them, therefore a hazer/pseudohazer isnt so bad. and mr. mime is soundproof, preventing it from roar... 1st set up ninjask: have it use sub, then double team, then swords dance... once its got all that, bp to breeloom, breeloom w/ sevasiveness will use spore, then sub/punch... if they dont switch then leech seed to damage then extra while them sleep, or switch to steelix instead of breloom, and just go all out |
Dont' forget to include EVs next time.
Mr Mime: Problem with this set is Mr Mime will be forced to constantly use Sub, since you have very little HP to play with and the substitute can't survive a hit. And if something's faster, it's generally a major threat for Mr Mime, even with his phenomenal Special Defence, so you're forced to switch or die. Mr [email protected] EV: 252 HP, 129 Def, 129 Sp Def Nature: + Def/Sp Def, - Att Light Screen Reflect Psychic HP Fire Mr Mime is nearly the same as Grumpig stat-wise, so here's an old Grumpig moveset (that I adapted slightly by putting Calm Mind over HP Fire). Light Screen and Reflect gives you some much needed protection. Exeggutor - they're sweepers, not tanks. [email protected]/Liechi Berry EV: Speed up to 198, rest in Sp Att and Sp Def (optional minor in Attack) Nature: + Speed/Sp Att, - Att/Def Sunny Day Solarbeam Psychic HP Fire/Explosion Eggy can't tank, so don't even try. Use the - Def nature along with some Attack EVs to make your Explosion hurt more. Houndoom - ah, my favourite. I'd rather keep Sunny Day, since it gives some Water protection along with bumping up Flamethrower and reducing Solarbeam's attack time. Also, you may want to consider losing Crunch and using Pursuit instead, definately better if Wobbuffet comes along (since it can't hurt you, it's forced to switch. STAB Pursuit on switching can bring Wobba close to KO from full health) [email protected] Berry EV: 252 Speed, 252 Sp Att, 6 Sp Def Nature: + Speed/Sp Att, - Att Ninjask - IMO Subjask is starting to lose some of it's power, since it's such a common sight most people have a way to deal with them now (and every team should have a hazer/pseudohazer anyway). As for the moveset, Ninjask doesn't have the defences to survive to use Double Team effectively, it's OHKO from most things, and DT can't protect you unless you can tank a bit as well. [email protected] Berry EV: 252 Speed, 252 Att, 6 Def Nature: + Speed, - Att Substitute Swords Dance Silver Wind Shadow Ball/Aerial Ace/HP Ground? HP Ground might be an unexpected surprise for most of the common hazers (except things like Dodrio and Weezing). Shame Ninjask can't pull off HP Psychic effectively Breloom - limited movepool, can't really do much more than Spore-Focus Punch. Again, he's not a tanker, so don't try. [email protected]/Salac Berry EV: 252 Speed, 252 Att, 6 Sp Def Nature: + Speed, - Sp Att Focus Punch Spore HP Ghost Swords Dance Steelix - Moveset works, but there's more options for you to consider: [email protected] EV: 252 HP, 129 Att, 129 Def Nature: + Def/Att, - Sp Att Earthquake/Rock Slide HP Steel/Taunt/Roar Toxic/Block/Double-Edge/Explosion Sandstorm/Rock Slide/Torment Taunt-Torment only works if Steelix isn't facing his physical weaknesses (Fighting, Ground), and since most physical sweepers have at least one of them, this tactic might cause a few problems. Otherwise, it completely owns physical sweepers, especially if you can use Block to stop them escaping. A trapped Swellow or Pidgeot is a free kill for Steelix. Otherwise, you have Toxic and Sandstorm for indirect damage, plenty of physical moves to use, Roar for pseudohazing, Explosion for Blissey, Miltank and other such healers, and so on... Overall, your team is missing a few roles - like a hazer/pseudohazer especially. With nothing to take care of Reversal/Flail users as well (consider Mach Punch for Breloom), there are lots of loopholes for people to exploit. All in all, not a bad effort for your team. Plenty of things you need to improve on, but you're getting a better grasp of things. |
