Rate my team

Well, here's my newly made NB team. I'm sure there are a few things I can improve, but I think I have all the bases covered

[email protected]
EV: 252 HP, 129 Def, 129 Sp Def
Nature: + Sp Def, - Sp Att
Confuse Ray
Will-O-Wisp
Mean Look
Seismic Toss

My good old Trapclops hasn't failed me yet.

[email protected]
EV: 252 Sp Att, 252 Sp Def, 6 HP
Nature: + Sp Att, - Speed
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Surf
Roar

Thanks to Kairi's suggestion, I decided to go with Roar for Lapras, and it works well I've found as a pseudohazer.

[email protected] Berry
EV: 252 HP, 252 Att, 6 Sp Def
Nature: + Att, - Sp Att
Glare
Headbutt
Rock Slide
Counter

Simple plan here - abuse Serene Grace with the flinch hax.

EV: 252 HP, 129 Def, 129 Sp Def
Nature: + Def, - Sp Att
Heal Bell
Milk Drink
Toxic
Seismic Toss

It's a standard moveset, but it works.

EV: 252 Speed, 252 Att, 6 HP
Nature: + Speed, - Sp Att
Aerial Ace
Sludge Bomb
Rock Slide
Earthquake

Yet another standard.

Fake Out
Return
Shadow Ball
Hypnosis

After reading the Battledex entry, I thought I'd give Persian a go, and he's surprised a lot of people with his speed (especially those poor Focus Punching Gengar who think they're faster). Persian owns, as long as he doesn't get hit. I did have Charm over Fake Out, but after a few incidents with Reversal absuing Heracross I decided I needed a Quick Attack of sorts. Fake Out does the job nicely.

I like having rest on dusclops, and I would put more EVs in Lapras's HP and remove from its spD. See it this way: Shuckle sucks.

Besides, lower spD + higher HP = more Water absorb :)

Chansey Inc. November 16th, 2004 3:44 PM

There was not a shuckle in there..unless it is something far beyond my understanding....The team is good execpt for the Dunsparce...it has to go...
Instead.

Raichu&Magnet
Thunderbolt
Thunder
Agility
Shock Wave

....The raichu boasts elecrtic power..

Mullet November 16th, 2004 3:53 PM

For Lapras I perfer Rest/Confuse Ray over Roar.

Oh, and Chansey Inc. 10% bosters (ex. Magnet) arn't really good, and plus there's nothing wrong with Dunsparce!
:D

lol... Roaring Lapras is INSANELY annoying x_x; I'll rather have chesto rest for Lapras, or just no rest at all. Lapras can tank, but not enough to tank for 2 turns of do-nothing. Dusclops is more suitable of a Pokemon to stand still for 2 rounds.

I used almost the exact same Lapras before I replaced it with Clefable =3 And believe me, Go MAX hp Blissey theory. 252 Sp.atk, 252 hp, and you'll still survive tbolt this way (unless it's Raikou >> and you get the point).

For Dunsprace, I'll rather get leftovers for the item instead of lum berry. Really, that's what the Miltank is for...

Toothache November 16th, 2004 6:31 PM

Let's see, I can always drop Mean Look for Rest on Dusclops, gives him that much-needed survivability. As for Lapras, if I remove Roar, I'll need to add a hazing/pseudohazing move somewhere and I can't seem to fit it among the rest of the team without losing something important.

Yeah, I see what you mean about Lefties on Dunsparce, despite the large HP, he can only Counter once before becoming totally reliant on the flinch hax. I was considering replacing Dunsparce with Quaggy though (Yawn/Focus Punch/Substitute/Earthquake), I may do that to see how it works - it will definately reduce the Fighting weakness my team seems to have (with 4 members weak to a fighting move, only Dusclops grants any real Fighting protection.)
