Eh. It looks like a cute fighter. Chuck Norris disguised as a Pokemon anybody? XD

Timbjerr July 26th, 2010 12:03 AM

Wait...this thing is a legendary? I thought it was gonna be this generation's obligatory Pikachu knockoff when Serebii showed it a couple months back. XD

Yeah it's a legend :P. No the Pikachu knockoff is most likely Chirammi...

i like that idea ^_^ it seems the most possible, i just hope the us gets it :P

LethalTexture July 26th, 2010 1:05 AM

I'm not really liking some od the decisions that are being made this time around. #000 adds to Route 1 etc.

MartinJF July 26th, 2010 2:09 AM

I think this thing will Get a Nice place as an Uber...

It depends. Manaphy became uber but Shaymin, Mew, Jirachi, and Celebi didn't.

Logiedan July 26th, 2010 2:15 AM

This might be an uber considering it's only obtained through an event. It probably has nothing to do with the whole game,it's just there as an additional legendary so the region would have a 'fairy' legendary similar to Jirachi,Celebi, etc. Just guessing. c:

Air Pichu July 26th, 2010 6:18 AM

It might depend on its power wether it'll become Uber or not. Shaymin is BL, and Celebi and Jirachi are OU. It all depends on its base Attack stats or its Defensive stats. Also how people use it.

IceFireLighnting July 26th, 2010 6:25 AM

It's a Fire/Psychic type. If I'm wrong, I SHALL live inside a Weezing for a week with only a Magikarp to keep me company. That's worse than being alone in a Weezing.

Pretty weird number though, #000. Why not make it one of the last Pokemon in the Pokedex?

Keeps things interesting, doesn't it?

I saw this Pokémon from the ending of Movie 13 and thought it would also be the next gen rip-off of Pikachu. The last thing I expected was it to be the next fairy-like Legendary Pokémon (e.g. Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin, Manaphy). It is cute though.

So cuuuuuuuute!

Bluerang1 July 26th, 2010 9:45 AM

Let's speculate about the Number. I think Pokemon is either not from the Isshue Region itself, maybe another mini-region, like a micro-nation. It could be a micro-nation that lead to the creation of Isshu. The Pokemon could be what was used to make/inspire the Isshu Dex so came first, like even before number 1. I dunno. Maybe the Master Document will reveal all.

Spiky-Eared Pichu July 26th, 2010 10:20 AM

I'm wondering why this Pokémon is legendary. For me, it looks more like a normal pokémon. And the 000 number? Which number will it have in the national pokédex?

Well Regigigas, and the others not in the Sinnoh dex not even in platinum didn't get 000 or negative numbers...

Man, there are all kinds of ridiculous theories in this thread.

Probably the dumbest was this Missingno. theory, though the NYC theory is up there too.

probably because they dont wanna reveal the amount of pkmn of this gen yet? or since they're not all planned out they just set it as 0?

also something weird came thru my head. in most games, where you use an AR, and a wild pkmn modifier code, when you set the value to 0 which makes a placeholder or glitch pokemon come up. or sometimes bulbasuar (since its number 1 and the value 0 might be ignored). what will happen now?

It's one month before the release almost, I bet they have everything planned out by now.

Planetes. July 26th, 2010 10:56 AM

was it ever actually confirmed that Tsuutaja was 494, because being 000 in the Isshu Dex could mean nothing, and it would just be 494 in the nat dex

They're going to come up with (guessing) over a 100 more Pokemon in a month? The game's close to completion, and they'll be using the next month to clean up the game as best they can, with beta testing. They're not going to wait this long to do some major programming.

For some reason, Victini's numbering is 000. I'm leaning towards the "they don't know the other Pokemon!" as not the reason. There's most likely another one.

That would be awesome. Kinda like the jirachi event w/ HGSS and unlocking that path on the pokewalker. But you need the liberty ticket (pass) whatever it is in order to get Triple 000 soo I'm thinking we won't get it early.

Well we get the ticket from the event, then I'm guessing we have to get on a boat in Huin to get it...

You should have posted this a few hours ago when Magmaruby and Aquasapphire made their post.

But speaking of how Victini looks, it reminds me of digimon.

Hawaii is like the Tasmania of America, everyone forgets that it's apart of the Country.

Bloothump July 26th, 2010 5:19 PM

Yes, but it was still a joke. It's a very popular vacation spot for Americans, so that's why it came to mind.

Kevin July 26th, 2010 5:58 PM

@Zet you're right it reminded me of something but I didn't know what. Digimon. =P I also thought for a second that it was a fake Plusle. =P IDK why. LOL.

Iqid Loopz July 26th, 2010 7:58 PM

If this Pokemon is number #000 in the National Dex, then MOVE OVER Bulbasaur! You are not the number one entry, maybe number one entry from G1 to now!

JP July 26th, 2010 8:03 PM

I highly doubt that this Pokemon will be #000 in the national dex for some reason. I honestly think this will just be a regional thing.

Zet July 26th, 2010 8:31 PM

It's probably #000 because it's really a digimon and digimon can't be registered in a inter/national pokedex.

I imagine the closer we get to the japanese release date, or in the coming episodes of pokemon sunday, the more we'll find about about it

i think so too. I wonder if it would activate another event and it's a very special pokemon...

luigimario94 July 27th, 2010 8:29 AM

It must be a Normal Type because of it's coloring.

BleuVII July 27th, 2010 8:36 AM

I only read the first and last page of this thread, so I'm sorry if someone has said this, but looking at its pose, and knowing that you get the Liberty Ticket to unlock it, wouldn't it be interesting if the place you got it on the map was the geographic equivalent of Liberty Island? (the location of the Statue of Liberty)

Colors don't necessarily mean the type most of the time. For instance, Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam are mostly yellow, but are they electric? Nope. It's easier to tell the typing by the way it looks and what kind of species it is, but sometimes that is tricky too.

As for me, even though it's hard for me to tell, Victini looks more like a fire and/or flying legend to me. The look and its tail actually screams fire/flying combo to me. D:

Yeah, we have mentioned it before :). Yeah it would be intresting, I wonder if we have to climb the Statue of Liberty to get it...

Åzurε July 27th, 2010 11:33 AM

Pure Flying? Do I hear pure Flying? Or Normal. Cream fur and a lack of obvious type-defining features kinda point that way, unfortunately. I hope it's pure Flying.

Liberty Ticket, huh... And people actually debate the New York thing. =P Ticket generally equals island, after all. Hey, it looks like there's a tower of some kind depicted on the ticket... Victini could be at the top... pure Flying! Victini is definitely one of my favorite 5th-gen Pokemon so far.

EDIT: Also, PUREFLYING!

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire July 27th, 2010 11:38 AM

Yeah a huge statue and Tower to climb would be awesome.

EJ July 27th, 2010 8:02 PM

I think it's one of the weirdest things I've seen in Pokemon... you know aside from James having breasts banned episode lolol

I'm assuming it's first in the National Dex...

BleuVII July 27th, 2010 8:55 PM

I'm also hoping for a pure flying. It would definitely make it "legendary"

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire July 27th, 2010 9:18 PM

I would be surprise if it does turn out to be pure flying :)

Yeah, true. Fire types tend to have flames or resemblance of flames. The only other Pokemon that don't have flames or signs of flames are Houndour and Houndoom. However, Houndoom at least is resembled as the devil with its horns and the "doom" part of its name, so Houndoom can resemble flames that way I guess.

I think part of me thought it's fire because of the ears and its toothy smile. It looks like a fire will flicker if the creature snaps its fingers. XD However, I've been thinking and it does look like a normal type to me too. Perhaps later on I'll change my mind and think it's more normal than fire. XD

Houndoom is based on the Hell hound that's why it's Dark/fire :)

Haza July 28th, 2010 4:02 AM

Oh, I guess it does have wings where it's tail should be. I'm sure it'll be able to fly so I'm thinking Normal/Flying, Normal (and will just float in the anime), or Flying (first actual pure Flying-Type)...

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire July 28th, 2010 7:15 AM

Hmm, well new info on it will hopefully come out in two weeks...

It doesn't look legendary :|

Haza July 28th, 2010 11:37 AM

That does make sense.
I just went and looked at Him again and like you said he does have alot to do with the letter "V"
He is holding up a Peace sign which looks like a "V", His ears are in shape of the letter "V" and the mail has a "V" shape on it.
Good Job on seeing that Haza :)

It's funny how 000 has a V-Shape just like this Digimon that is the main Digimon in the new Digimon anime called XrosWars..

(Should be noted that the sword isn't apart of Shoutmon.)

Though, I honestly think that for most Pokémon, there's a Digimon that has something similiar to it..

Pokémon is ruined..

Just because some Pokemon has similar designs from Digimon doesn't mean Pokemon is ruined. With each generation the designs of the Pokemon changed, so the Pokemon are bound to be quite detailed like the Digimon creatures. I'm fine with you not liking the designs of the new Pokemon, but it gets annoying with each generation people keeping saying how because it's detailed/looks like a Digimon that Pokemon is ruined.

Also, Victini and that Digimon to me are totally different species, if not thinking about them being Pokemon and Digimon for a second. Victini is more like a fluffy little creature while that Digimon is moreso like a dinosaur/reptile. Another difference is the V-shape on Victini is actually its ears while the V-shape on that Digmon is more like its horns.

Actually,
With Pokémon is ruined, I was reffering to the Pokémon is ruined.. FOREVER!!! thread in the Pokémon General forum. A list of idiots some peoples reason to why Pokémon is ruined. As I do Signatures and Large Pieces in Photoshop, I love the fact that the new Pokémon have more details.

I was thinking of adding something like this to my post:

But, I bet there's many Pokémon that has something similiar to a Digimon...

And, something like this, after the 'Pokémon is ruined..' part.

Even though the V's are not totally similar or the fact that, that's the only similarity.

I'm sorry for the lack of understandable sarcasm in my first post. And I just realized that I did say this:

Though, I honestly think that for most Pokémon, there's a Digimon that has something similiar to it..

When I say most, I mean most. Not most of the new...

wonder if it really is Normal/Ghost...in the video you can see a outline of it in the clouds, maybe it's a spirit or something similar to that...

Yeah, what happens in the National Dex? Is it going to be 000? Or be in the Isshu part of the dex? =\

We don't know yet...we only know it's 000 of Isshu but I think it's most likely going to be in the Isshu part of the International dex...

I wish they would have made MissingNo an offical Pokemon and made that number 000 instead of yet another Mew clone...
