Lag problem on phone?
Alright so on my phone it has this way of buffering the whole video, and still lagging, (this happens on youtube and other sites), I think the problem is that the phone doesn't load the whole movie, (even though it says it has buffered 100%) it kind of just loads it while playing and becomes pixelly, starts lagging audio, and just generally stops until it's found itself again.. Is there an option to disable this on normal phones? As this is becoming increasingly annoying..
Chars. |
My guess is that the phone isn't powerful enough to handle Flash video, but I'm not an expert with phones. What kind of phone are you using?

Samsung Genio Touch. [S3650]
Thing is, it plays videos really well when the videos are actually offline, but it's more of a problem with space at the minute seeing as my order's been cancelled for a whatever gig memory card it was, so it would have been easier to watch online and not have a lag or jump. |
Ever wondered if it's due to the fact that your phone might have a crappy data connection?

Tbh... GPRS and EDGE don't really work well... Only thing on my phone that let's me view videos perfectly is 3G or WiFi...
Did you try getting the Youtube application? |

And I know that the GPRS and EDGE don't work well, but I was just wondering isn't there somewhere that I can turn off the "live" viewing where I pause it has to buffer again because it is constantly... I guess downloading from youtube instead of a video when I just want it to load from youtube, play, and pause without going all crappy. Quote:
That's the problem with my choice of phones. |
I see... I assume everybody has an S60...
That's how almost all video players work... One of my friends used to get videos from a site called Cupish... After downloading the video to the phone, he would play the video. |

As far as I remember, it's a mobile site...
Check it out, since I really haven't had to use it... |
It's a bit confusing with the queueing...
Are there any more sites like this? But still I would like an option to stop live streaming of the youtube vid... |
Don't think there's an option to disable streaming. All you really can do is just try and pause the player, wait for the stream to finish, and then play.

Only way to do it that way, is probably the Youtube mobile app, which again, the OP can not get. |
