Spore; compatible with Windows 7?

Hiya, I'm going to buy a new computer this weekend and buy Spore as well.

I was wondering if it was compatible with Windows 7 (I think it's going to be Home Premium, also I'm not sure if it will be 32-bit or 64-bit). I have read all over the internet about it working, and some not working.

Also I need the requirements for it to run on Windows 7, like what -bit it needs to be, the RAM, the video card, sound card, etc..

Thanks!

If it runs on Vista, then it should run fine on Windows 7 since they are basically the same.
As for graphics, anything you buy that's new should have compatible graphics, but if you find that your choice of computers has integrated graphics (not a dedicated card for graphics) then you should check to see if it's compatible.

I got my information from here: Link. It might be a good idea to print this page or write down a few notes from here and take that with you when you go to look at computers if Spore is going to be one of the main things you are going to play on your computer.

Since it's a fairly recent game, a store-bought copy should work fine on Windows 7.

I'd suggest using that :D You have to make a download, but I've used it multiple times and can vouch for its security.

Change of plans; I'm getting an iMac. I know that Spore will run on them I just need to know if a better graphics card than the one required can be used to run it.

Thanks!

Is Spore even compatible with Mac OS X?

It is, I read somewhere that it is compatible with Snow Leopard. If someone could help me, it'd be great, thanks!

EA's games have enough appeal that someone usually approaches them about making a Mac version early in the dev process... unless they decide to do all the Mac programming legwork themselves.
