Help with screen reorders

Help! I can't find any decent screen recorders for what I'm trying to do. Does anyone know any screen recorders that can record Dolphin emulator and only its sound, even if it's muted and another window is making sound?

If you're using Vista or 7, there's a volume mixer you can use to just mute the other window. And everyone I know recommends FRAPS.

I question whether FRAPs supports emulators like Dolphin. I honestly wouldn't recommend it because from what I recall it doesn't. It's an excellent recorder for actual games, but emulators are another story. I'm sure there are some programs that will just record whatever's on your screen that will do well.

I went through the trouble of google searching this sort of thing for you, and even installed and tested it on my computer. This program appears to do what you want. Simply download, install, start it up, and set "Region" to Full Screen. You can then click the record button which is a red circle to start recording. After you hit record, play your game (Play in full screen for the best results) Click the stop button when you're done and it will ask you to set a file name for your new avi.

Oh, and it's completely free unlike FRAPS which has a free trial that will sadly only let you record 30 second clips last time I checked.

You may be thinking that you'll have to show your desktop a bit in the video because you have to be on it to hit record. Well you can also set a hotkey for start and stop or just edit out the desktop in Movie Maker or whatever you use.

Also, as I recall, some emulators have a built-in function to record stuff, you may want to look for that.
