Uber Team Question

ok now, in the other thread i made up my team of non-ubers (although i used mewtwo, but i don't care, he's too good looking to not use.)

my question is this, what are good movesets for Kyogre, Rayquaza, and RegiSteel. and, are they really that good that people complain, and if so, why? thank you for your help by the way guys.

Rayquaza got 438 attack power to work with. Keep that up with dragon dance will result in a deadly beast. Having extremespeed doesn't allow other team's quick attackers to take out Rayquaza too after it's been weakened when it's dragon dancing.

Kyogre got a natural rain dance to boost its again, over 400 sp.atk. It got free thunder to use, a water attack that's boosted by STAB already, along with having ice beam. Having no physical weakness doesn't help either. Auto-permanent rain dance allows a whole team of rain dancers to follow up and sweep the rest of the party as well. Having the last attack as HP Grass results in complete destruction. Even Blissey will have a terribly hard time against water spout with such high sp.atk, and rain dance/STAB boost, which is a proof of just how strong Kyogre is. In my opinion, one of the strongest of the ubars, along the calmkou rank.

Registeel isn't even an ubar, and is at most winced about. Its usefulness is only limited, and is one of the least useful legendaries, only above Articuno, Moltres, Jirachi and possibly Entei/Regirock as well. Its most problematic thing is that its movepool is in the middle of nowhere, and how it's usefulness is overshadowed by Regice the infamous boltbeamer.

oops.

i'm sorry, what's calmkou?

i assume it's some uber i don't know about, while we are on this, i don't want to have a team of all uber's that will get me talked about, what are the most powerful ubers in netbattle?

Frostweaver November 16th, 2004 10:19 PM

All ubers are by default, super-powered. Calmkou is Raikou with calm mind, which results in death of many MANY Pokemon.

Go read the advanced trainer's guide. It shows you who the OU Pokemon are, and using a whole team of them will result in you being whinced about already... (I'll go edit the list too, to indicate who are the ubars.)

Ubar/Uber is generally defined by a Pokemon's ability to sweep terribly well with overwhelming stats (ex: Deoxys FR's base 180 offensives and base 150 speed), and/or its defensive power isn't bad at all either on top of sweeping (ex: Lugia and base 154 sp.def)

Calmkou isn't technically uber though, I think...

Demonion November 17th, 2004 11:21 AM

yeah thats true but Calmkou and Calmcune can be counted as ubars :)

Only when you call Blissey one =/
