This.
I'm pretty sure this is going to be its name...

dragon0fangz July 30th, 2010 8:22 PM

Isshu. why would they change it? granted, it makes no sense, but neither did hoenn and sinnoh. Im sure they just invented those 2.

WarpstarX July 30th, 2010 8:50 PM

Well they never changed the name before so why would they start now?

orange discontent July 30th, 2010 8:53 PM

Isshu or Ishu? The region names have only changed by one or two letters for Sinnoh/Shinoh.

BakingBluePotatoe July 30th, 2010 8:56 PM

Issue? Ishuu?

I dunno. *cake drops*

rockman0 July 30th, 2010 8:56 PM

I've grown quite used to Isshu. I hope they leave it the same. Or maybe it'll be Isush.. O__O I really hope I'm wrong.

You're right, technically the region names are only romanized, and are still pronounced the same way.

I'd say Isshue, Issu, I really don't know. :S

Volroc July 30th, 2010 10:29 PM

Tissue!

sorry had to say it :P

all jokes aside, Issue,Izshu,Isshu,Isshue,or Izzoo

Luck July 30th, 2010 10:42 PM

Why is this such an Isshu?
Hohoho, see what I did there?

Issu, for no reason whatsoever.

Shinou ==> Sinnoh says hi.

Thunderpunch July 30th, 2010 11:24 PM

probably just Isshu. I don't see why they'd change it since they never have before

I would understand something like a page or two, but the post was directly above yours. For shame.

SinisterEternity July 30th, 2010 11:55 PM

If they go for a name change, then :

But yeah, Isshu is quite good. I'd prefer if it stayed like this. c:

Jaiyke July 30th, 2010 11:58 PM

if it's something like Sinnoh they might change the u to an o maybe
Issho I Show...
Ishoh too many H's?
Ishoo, iShoo xD
Issoh - Ice Oh?
Iccoh o_O thats ridiculous xD

unless it stays as a U and they change a different letter
Ehssu
Eishu
im gonna stop here i give up xDDD

JeXsus™ July 31st, 2010 12:00 AM

I think it should remain the way it is. I've already got used to calling it Isshu.
Also they haven't changed it before. Hope they keep this way. ^_^

Why do you type "E" Letter in:
Ehssu
Eishu?
We all chosse "I"

Timbjerr July 31st, 2010 12:07 AM

Region names in the English game remain more or less a romanization of the original game

Kantō -> Kanto
Jōto -> Johto
Hōen -> Hoenn
Shin'ō -> Sinnoh

It would follow that Isshu would be simply romanized to something like 'Issuh' or 'Issoh'. :P

Ninja Caterpie July 31st, 2010 12:16 AM

I don't think they'll change it to Issoo, because it could be either Isshu or Issu in Jap, but it's the former..

For Shinou, it couldn't be "Sinnou" because there's no "si" sound in Japanese. Romanising Shi can make it si, but romanising shu...stays as shu.

Did that make sense? D:

i wasn't serious man... and E and I have similar soundings anyway so why not...

then again not All of us Pronounce Isshu the same way anyway
so whatever... =P

if they do go with the spelling Issoh then people might get dumb and say
that it's almost just an Anagram on Sinnoh and get mad and upset
that sounds dumb, but you know people and their fanboy/girl-ism are >.>

Kevin July 31st, 2010 7:33 AM

Issue? LOL. I don't mean the actual word Issue, but still. Sounds the same.

You have an issue if you think they will change it to "Issue" :P

Dixie July 31st, 2010 7:56 AM

I'm thinking they might call it the Asshu Region or Esshu Region. Just assumptions, really.

NoriakiZ July 31st, 2010 8:03 AM

Isshu. It's been like that since Gen I!! The regions keep their original names.
