I know this is crazy, but I am going to aim for solo challenges for every fully-evolved Pokemon in their respective generations.
And hopefully these sign-ups are okay. :) I'm going to do all Grass Starters first, then Fire, and finally Water. Spoiler:

Update #2: Venusaur - Soul Silver
I think I've never did a solo run on Heart Gold/Soul Silver before (though I did try to do a Golduck one) and I can't remember what my reason was as to not to. I quite enjoye the game and of course the graphics are nicer to look at than Gold, Silver and Crystal. Screens: Spoiler:

I finally managed to start Pokemon Y for my Ultimate Jynx run. I bred myself a Smoochum on my X with the egg moves Fake Out and Nasty plot, traded it in to my Y and I'm just before the first gym with Bewsa the Smoochum. I will update again when I finish the game :)
EDIT: I updated the OP everyone! :) Quote:

I've been away from PC for awhile but that doesn't mean I haven't been doing challenges, I have a pretty nice list for you to add.

Anyway, I'm still working on a good name for Umbreon and I am taking far too long. I could sign up already, but that way it would take a while before I actually start the challenge. I really want to get back on this challenge, though... |

OKAY THEN! IT'S TIME!
You can probably already see from my signature, but I have finally got my things together and thought of a name. Now Noctis (Latin: "of the night") was actually already in my head when I started thinking about this, but now I have decided to do this anyway. Sign-up: Username: TeunCornflakes Pokémon of Choice: Noctis the Umbreon Challenge: Ultimate Game(s): LeafGreen, SoulSilver, Emerald, Diamond/Platinum, Y All my Ultimates can be changed to Y now since I have decided to buy the other version for challenges. The reason that Diamond and Platinum are both there is because I am worrying about starter editors. I know one for Diamond, and if I don't find one for Platinum I will go with that game. If anyone has a suggestion, please PM me. --- Pokémon LeafGreen screens: Spoiler:

I started a Samurott solo on Pokemon White before I joined this site but have not finished it yet. Would I be able to summarize what happened so far and be added to the challenge?

On a side note, I plan to do ultimate solo challenges for a lot of Pokemon, mainly the starters and some others I really like, and decided to start up my Blastoise run since I decided on a decent nickname for it last night. Update #4: Venusaur - Soul Silver
So, the first solo run on HG/SS is almost completed (at least I think it is my first one?). Only the Ultimate Boss (Red) left! Screens: Spoiler:

On a side note, can anyone explain to me how starting a new game on X and Y affects people who have your Friend Safari? Do they need to wait 'till you defeat the Elite Four again to gain access to your full safari again, or what? I searched all over the internet (at least a lot) and I couldn't really find a clear answer and it affects my decision to use my X-file (see what I did there ;) ) for solo runs as I don't really feel like buying Y just to play challenges. |
Just finished a Charizard run on LeafGreen, Here are the pics.

So while slowly making progress on other solo runs like a Sceptile solo and Chikorita solos, and with the death of my 3DS, I went and did a Seaking solo on Red since Seaking is one of my favorite Water types from Gen 1...well, at least it was back in the day when I always used a mono Water team in Pokemon Stadium, then I learned that Seaking is pretty bad overall. Sure, it has a shallow movepool in Gen 1, and it's one of the only two Pokemon to learn Waterfall that gen, but it was still fun to go around and wreck lives in Kanto with an oversized goldfish :P.

Okay, so I actually hate FR/LG and the challenge is going somewhat slow, but now a really weird glitch occurs in my VBA. I just can't see any text, no matter what I do. In battle there is just empty space at the bottom and the menu is always invisible.
I can play the games without seeing what people say, but I also don't see moves and HP. I'll try to go on since I don't want to start all over. To give you a taste, here's the screenshot of beating Lt. Surge: http://i62.*.com/2sagh3o.png By sounds I was able to even complete his gym puzzle. I think I can actually beat this challenge if I just go on. I hope. |

Just a question for X/Y, if I want to use a pokemon like Zygarde or [email protected], would I be allowed to use my Powersave Pro to get them at level 10 right before the first badge?
They always start with only Hidden Power for some reason, but everything is legal (except level of course). I would only use this for Legendaries since they can't breed. |

A couple of years ago, I did this challenge with Blastoise on Red, Gold, Ruby, and Platinum, but that progress seems to have been wiped from the front page of the thread (though I still found my posts from that). See post 596 for Red, 603 for Gold, 612 for Ruby, and 644 for Platinum (on pages 24-26 of this thread, according to my posting settings).
Anyway, while that constituted an ultimate challenge back before gens 5 and 6 became mandatory, I recognize that that is no longer the case, so I wanted to pick up that old challenge with Black and either X or Y to officially clear all six generations with Blastoise. So, for the sign-up: Username: Imperator161 Pokemon of Choice: Blastoise Challenge: Ultimate Game(s): Red, Gold, Ruby, Platinum, Black, X or Y (probably Y, but it depends on what I have a extra copy of that I can restart when I get to that point). Additionally, I want to do a solo run with Pikachu on Red (I have three badges on it so far; I don't have a detailed history of what happened, as it was a while ago, but my Pikachu is currently on level 42, and I have a level 6 Charmander with Cut for HM use). Sign up for that: Username: Imperator161 Pokemon of Choice: Pikachu Challenge: Single Game(s): Red Update on the Pikachu run mentioned above: -Defeated Erika, mostly with Swift -Bypassed the Rocket Hideout and cleared the tower in Lavender using a Poke Doll to run away from the ghost -Picked up Fly, and a new Doduo to use it -Cleared Silph Co and obtained a Lapras to use for Surf (too bad I don't have a Surfing Pikachu for this run--Pikachu's moveset is pretty bad right now) -Opted to catch Snorlax, in case I need the HM capability for anything/want to do anything with it on this file after I finish this solo run -Obtained Surf and Strength -Defeated Koga -Defeated Sabrina (and the fighting dojo next door) -Defeated a trainer with a ton of Magikarp on my way to Cinnabar, all at level 27 (not sure if this is the "Magikarp trainer" in this game?) -Obtained the Secret Key in the mansion in Cinnabar, entered the Gym, and defeated Blaine -Returned to Viridian and defeated Giovanni. Pikachu vs. Rhydon wasn't all that fun, but Body Slam paralysis was on my side. -Took out my rival with Pikachu on my way to Victory Road -Traversed the perilous Victory Road and emerged unscathed. Only the Elite Four stands between Pikachu and the completion of this challenge! (I had forgotten just how quick Red was to play through--it's been a while) The Elite Four: -Lorelei: Mostly Thunderbolt and Thunder -Bruno: Rock/Ground Pokémon are the bane of my existence, but I'm too lazy to change Pikachu's moveset, so Body Slam it is. Coupled with Bruno's X Defend usage, I'm probably going to need an Ether or something. Everything else went down smoothly -Agatha: Thunder and Thunderbolt. Opted to teach Sparky Toxic after this battle to give myself more options moving forward. -Lance: Mixture of Thunder, Thunderbolt, and Body Slam. (Body Slam for the non-flying types, electric moves for the flying types). -Rival: Pidgeot fell to Thunderbolt, Alakazam to Body Slam, Rhydon to Body Slam + Toxic, Arcanine to Thunderbolt, Exeggutor to Toxic + Body Slam, and Blastoise to crit Thunder. Victory! The team: -Sparky (Pikachu) lvl 72 (Thunderbolt, Body Slam, Thunder Wave, and Thunder) (it essentially looks like something I would have used when I first played RBY, except for Body Slam) -HM slaves: Charmander (Cut), Doduo (Fly), Lapras (Surf, Strength) Sparky's final stats: lvl 72 176 HP 131 Attack 101 Defense 194 Speed 117 Special Moves: Thunderbolt, Body Slam, Toxic, and Thunder Screenshots (didn't take them during my journey, sorry about that): http://s10.postimg.org/jlmtv20ed/Pikachu_victory.png http://s4.postimg.org/lyx53udnt/Sparky_final_stats_first_screen.png http://s29.postimg.org/au58heysz/Sparky_final_stats_second_screen.png |
