How do you know? Game

Okay so basically you post a false statement concerning Pokemon and the person below has to say WHY its false, and then post their own (if their answer is right). And so on.

Example:

Red: I caught a Pikachu and named it Hypershocks
Blue: No you didn't!

HOW DO YOU KNOW RED DIDN'T CATCH A PIKACHU (someone answer this)

dragon0fangz August 11th, 2010 2:51 PM

NO U DIDNT! It was given to him by Professor Oak, duh. >_>

I have a lv 100 Igglybuff.
Am I doing this right, cause im confused.

Planetes. August 11th, 2010 4:53 PM

sorry Drag0nfangz, but it was because the Pikachu's nick was over 10 characters is why, and Ash (and/or yellow), not red was the one who got the Pikachu, I was just using the names as fillers anyway.

and I'm not sure about the Igglybuff one as you could press the B button during evolution...

DavidChristopher, August 11th, 2010 5:40 PM

My Spinda brings all the boys to the yard, and they're like;
Your spinda kicks hard.
Damn right, my spinda kicks hard.
It could kick you, unless you use detect guard.

^ Which lyric is wrong, pokemon-wise?

Aquacorde August 11th, 2010 6:22 PM

Is it that Spinda doesn't kick, it punches?

My level 40 Gyarados in HG knows Ice Fang, Aqua Tail, Waterfall, and Rage.

Planetes. August 11th, 2010 6:29 PM

ah finally someone does it right!

Well Smart one, Gyarados doesn't learn rage

oh and btw

I have a powerful Charizard that I ev trained, this is its EV spread 20 HP, 252 atk, 10 def, 0 SpAtk, 252 Sp def, 51 spd.
It knows Hyper Beam, Flamethrower, Aerial Ace and Blast Burn, its so tough!

Aquacorde August 11th, 2010 6:43 PM

Hey now. It can't be too tough with all special attacks and no EV in that area, can it?

I found a shiny Gloom! I trained it to level 26 so it would evolve into Vileplume.

Planetes. August 11th, 2010 7:37 PM

^the moveset is just to throw ppl off, the real reason its fake is because its EV total is more than 510

anyway Gloom evolves into Vileplume using a leaf stone not by lvl up

-------------------
I trained my Wurmple to lv. 7 at night so it would evolve into Cascoon.

Aquacorde August 11th, 2010 8:13 PM

Night and day don't have any affect on Wurmple's evolutions, right?

I caught a Tentacool with Poison Sting, Supersonic, Constrict, and Acid while surfing on Route 31.

Helvetica August 16th, 2010 12:21 PM

No Tentacools on the route.

I've a Tyranitar which hasn't tried to learn Stone Edge yet.

rockman0 August 16th, 2010 9:59 PM

Well, that's false. Tyranitar tries to learn Stone Edge before it even becomes a Tyranitar.

I have a red shiny Lucario.

Aquacorde August 16th, 2010 10:44 PM

Shiny Lucario are yellow~

I had to level my Typhlosion up to level 42 before it would learn Lava Plume.

Diablerie August 17th, 2010 9:21 PM

Typhlosion learns it at 35.

My Pokemon team is all up to Lv50, and is made up of Buizel, Milotic, Tyranitar, Charizard, Electivire and Torterra.

vaporeon7 August 22nd, 2010 1:02 AM

Tyranitar evolves at Lv55.

Darn Wobbuffett, it made my Spiritomb faint by countering its attacks.

Helvetica August 22nd, 2010 1:28 AM

Spiritomb is immune to psychic and fighting

My scizor in Heart Gold knows bide and razor wind. Also Metal claw and Bullet punch at lvl 50.

Diablerie August 22nd, 2010 1:38 PM

Scizor can't use Bide.

-groan- As I was walking down Route 38, I was zapped by a Magnemite, chomped by a Rattata, charged by a Stantler and whacked on the head by Farfetch'd's stick.

alisaie August 22nd, 2010 3:45 PM

Stantler is not on Route 38.

Uwaah! Yay! I was training my Eevee around Route 216 when it evolved into Glaceon!

Diablerie August 22nd, 2010 10:31 PM

Au contraire, Eevee evolves to Glaceon on Route 217, not 216.

I was doing well sweeping through the Gym Leaders. I took down Falkner, Bugsy, Whitney, Morty and Chuck without too much trouble. And I almost defeated Jasmine, but her Magneton beat my Lv32 Torterra before I could heal it. So I continued on to Mahogany Town, where I took on Pryce. It was a close call, but my Swampert finished off his Piloswine after an epic battle.

That's false! Jasmine does not have a Magneton!

It's so hard to beat Red's Pikachu! The little electric mouse is tough at level 89. It's Iron tail is strong but inaccurate, Thunder is really powerful because pikachu's holding a magnet, same for volt tackle. Quick attack is very fast. Beware of it's ability cute charm because it can put you to sleep! If it had evolved into Raichu at level 35 it would have been a lot stronger.
Can you find all 6 mistakes?

Diablerie August 23rd, 2010 1:51 PM

6 mistakes? Oh well, better get searching...
-Pikachu evolves with a Thunderstone, not Lv35.
-Pikachu would be weaker, cos the Light Ball wouldn't work.
-Doesn't have Thunder.
-Doesn't have Cute Charm.
-Cute Charm doesn't put you to sleep.
-It's Lv88, not 89.

Hah! My friend found a Kangaskhan in Rock Tunnel in Heart Gold (and named it SuperSmasha). And he said he would trade it to me for a Lv30 Dragonair!

Helvetica August 23rd, 2010 1:57 PM

Too long a nickname.

That Giovanni's Nidoking in Silph could've killed me in my nozlocke. Luckily, I was able to beat it.

alisaie August 23rd, 2010 2:03 PM

He doesn't have a Nidoking. He had a Nidoqueen.

My Swinub took forever for it to evolve into Piloswine! Luckily it learned Ancient Power at level 34, so it evolved into Mamoswine after it learned it!

vaporeon7 August 23rd, 2010 2:35 PM

Piloswine doesn't learn AncientPower at Lv34, use have to go to the move relearner to get Piloswine to know it.
In Pokemon Red I had a Lickitung that dominated battles by using lick to Paralyse opponents and then I would use either its Surf, Disable or Submission to finish them off. I received after trading my Lv23 Slowbro to a man in-game.

Vamaar August 23rd, 2010 3:10 PM

... How do you use Disable to finish off someone?

Man, in Yellow, I found Gary's Rhydon really hard to beat, as my main pokemon was Pikachu. Luckily I could nab either Squirtle, Bulbasaur, or Lapras if I needed a really strong pokemon to beat it.

tente2 August 23rd, 2010 4:38 PM

I'm guessing that he doesn't have Rhydon in Yellow, or that he only has it if his evee evolved a different way than it did? Sorry, Bulbapedia isn't showing his Yellow team.

I caught a Misdreavus in Eterna Forest in my pearl, but it was hard because it only appeared during the night and I usually play during the day. But, I finally got it and evolved it with a dusk stone! It is level 50 and has a speed stat of 140. It knows Magical Leaf, Nightmare, Will-o-Wisp, and Aerial Ace.

^^^Wow,that one's tough. It's a very subtle error that makes it wrong.

solarowl August 23rd, 2010 5:26 PM

i think Mismagius cant learn nightmare and even if it did, nightmare wouldnt help much with that moveset. but im not really sure.

I caught a Duskull and migrated him then evolved him into dusknoir in my pearl. I taught it Night Shade, Ice Punch, confuse ray, and Shadow punch. When i was in battle against a Rhyperior, and i had a few hp left, it used earthquake and it didnt do any damage because of levitate. I won using Ice punch.

tente2 August 23rd, 2010 5:39 PM

It can, but only if it is tutored the move in gen lll. So you're partially right.

And, that would be fine IF levitate was dusknoir's ability--but it's pressure!

Planetes. August 24th, 2010 1:17 AM

Ack! He didn't post one.

Anyhow, I got a Haunter in a trade from my friend's pokemon blue version, its pretty awesome since it gets a boosted amount of experience when I train it!

vaporeon7 August 24th, 2010 4:54 AM

Haunter would have evolved into Gengar.

I had a Tyranitar. It was awesome. It could defeat anything, such as one time I was battling this trainer who had a Shedinja and I beat him easily. I think my Tyranitar was so strong because it was lv100 and had the moves: Earthquake, Hyper Beam, Ice Fang and Protect and the an attack stat of 403 and the speed stat of 243. One of my favourite things was Sand Stream because it made his sp. defence stat 1.5x the normal. I've also been meaning to teach over Protect with Whirlpool. But I've been considering trading it for my friends Sunflora. I want it because it's shiny and has the moves: Solarbeam, Earth Power, Sweet Scent and Encore. Its special attack stat also gets boosted during full sun because of Solar Power.

There is only one flaw with this paragraph.

Planetes. August 25th, 2010 12:02 AM

Sand stream doesn't raise defense, it kicks up a sandstorm.

My Machamp was able to kill Phoebe's Sabeleye in one hit since cross chop was super effective. It would have beaten Phoebe's entire team but her Dusclops used Psychic and it fainted.
I used a revive on it and it went on to beat Glacia. I deleted foresight for brick break which I got from TM31 after beating Glacia. Its one of my strongest Pokemon, I'm glad my friend helped me evolve it during trading.

Diablerie August 25th, 2010 12:49 AM

Bzzt, wrong.
Neither of her Dusclops knows Psychic.

In Pokemon Ruby I headed down a route with my awesome new Lv55 Dragonite. It has Fire Punch, Thunderpunch, Aqua Tail and Dragon Claw. It has the awesome Inner Focus abillity. I used it to beat a Black Belt, Youngster, Gamer and Hiker, before heading into a town.

Planetes. August 25th, 2010 3:36 PM

A "Gamer" isn't one of the trainer types in Pokemon ruby, it was brought back in FRLG.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon explorers of Darkness is really fun because I get to be a Pokemon, I'm an Infernape, and My Partner is a Torterra. We are so tough we even beat Dialga and the Grand Master of all things bad. I recruited Dialga as well, he's the only legendary on my team but he is very tough.

What ^^ said, along with:
-Sableye is Dark/Ghost, so Crosschop isn't super effective against it (can't even hit it, iirc).
-Glacia doesn't give you a TM

As for your current one:
You can't evolve after you defeat Primal Dialga and "The Master of all Things Bad".

Okay, so I was trying to evolve my Burmy the other day. It took a while, but he finally evolved into a Grass Wormadam while I was in a cave!

Diablerie August 25th, 2010 4:07 PM

But if you were in a cave, he'd be Sandy Wormadam.

My heart was pounding. I was in the Blackthorn Gym, ready to fight Clair for my eigth Gym badge. She led with a Gyarados, which I easily countered with my Electivire. Electivire took out her two Dragonairs, too, but then Kingdra wiped it out with a Dragon Pulse. She proceeded to sweep my team, leaving me only with the Venusaur I'd only just transferred up by Pal Park. It was an intense fight, and it tried to finish me off with a Hyper Beam, but Venusaur held on and defeated Kingdra with Solarbeam.

I already had the TM and I was just doing that to SHOW MY MACHAMP had foreseight allowing it to hit sabeleye, and the dark typing made it super effective.

@Diablerie you can't access Pal Park until you beat the game
---------------------------
I was excited to get Blue's number, although I had beaten all 16 Leaders I figured I should train a lot more for red because his Snorlax can counter nearly my whole team and his Pikachu is Lv. 88

rockman0 August 25th, 2010 9:15 PM

Neither Misdreavus nor Mismagius can learn Nightmare.

When I battled my friend, I used my Scizor's Technician, plus two Sword Dance combo to wittle his Pokemon's health down and finished them off with False Swipe.

vaporeon7 August 25th, 2010 11:11 PM

You can't finish someone off with False Swipe.

Though that is true during the Sandstorm its sp. defence is boosted 1.5x. The original mistake was Tyranitar couldn't have both an attack stat of 403 and a speed stat of 243 only one.

In the hotel in Cerulean City in Pokemon Red/Blue there an invisible PC. This is due to probably being based on a Pokemon Center.

Planetes. August 25th, 2010 11:42 PM

The Hotel is in Celadon

I was so excited when I got to Kanto after beating Lance. Since I started in Pallet Town, I figured Brock would be my first target since Pewter City is fairly close to Pallet. The battle was harder than expected but My Meganium finally killed his Onix with Razor Leaf, I was lucky because it got a critical hit.

TheAbyss August 26th, 2010 12:28 AM

You don't start in Pallet Town, you start in Vermillion City.

It took me a while of saving BP in the Battle Frontier to buy a Power Anklet and Power Bracer for 16 BP each, as you only get 5 BP each time you beat the Battle Factory at Level 50. After that, I bred my Male Altaria and Female Charmander to make a Male Charmander, which I bred with a Female Larvitar to get a Larvitar with Dragon Dance. Next, I bred the Larvitar with a ditto until I got a Female Adamant Larvitar. I bred that, holding an Everstone, with one of the Male ones that I got to make multiple Adamant Larvitars with Dragon Dance. I then decided to EV train one of them, so I used 10 protiens, 10 Carbos and 8 HP Ups on it. I then went and defeated 4 Slowpokes to gain some HP EVs, then gave him the Power Anklet and defeated 3 Raticates, 2 Fearows, 7 Spearows and 3 Rattatas on Route 9. Finally, I went to Surf on Route 42 and had Larvitar beat 2 Seakings and 28 Goldeens while holding the Power Bracer, to get 252 Attack EVs. I then went to train him EXP-wise. Now he is a level 60 Tyranitar with Stone Edge, Crunch, Earthquake, and Dragon Dance.

Sorry if it's a little long and hard :/

XD XD XD XD.

Idk tho I have a short attention span.

TheAbyss August 26th, 2010 1:48 PM

Heh heh, I suppose you guys could just skip mine if you want and put a new statement. I don't want to be responsable for killing a thread >.> But, still, I won't give the answer in case anyone still wants to try it.

Planetes. August 26th, 2010 3:46 PM

^wait! I don't go to the GEN4 battle frontier much, but doesn't your BP amount increase after every time you win? So it wouldn't be a constant 5 BP???

TheAbyss August 26th, 2010 4:22 PM

I don't think so, I've personally always gotten 5 BP from winning the Battle Factory at level 50, but I've never made it to the Frontier Brain, so maybe O_o Anyways, not the answer I was looking for, and again, I don't mind if you just skip my question.

EDIT: If you want a hint that's fine too, I guess.

vaporeon7 August 27th, 2010 5:32 AM

Is it that your Tyranitar has 280 or something attack Evs when it can only have 252.

Diablerie August 28th, 2010 3:40 AM

Don't want this thread to die, so I'll create a new question to keep things moving...

Dang, my Hippowdon is awesome. I sent it into battle against Zangoose, and its Earthquake attack, would have killed Zangoose, if it didn't have a Focus Sash. So unfortunately, I couldn't defeat it until the next turn.

Arma August 28th, 2010 1:20 PM

It could've been defeated if it was poisoned

This is just great, I chose Charmander on my FireRed and I didn't teach him metal claw. I just waisted my only chance to score an super effective hit on Brock's pokemon.

vaporeon7 August 28th, 2010 3:07 PM

It would have fainted because of the sandstorm Hippowdon created through Sand Stream. Zangoose is immune to poisoning because of its ability Immunity.

You could have caught a Mankey and taught it Low Kick on Route 22.

It is possible to catch Lv5 Linoone, Lv40 Poliwhirl and Lv7 Fearow on Route 22 in Pokemon HG/SS.

Diablerie August 28th, 2010 4:34 PM

@vaporeon7 - Yeah, that was the correct answer for the Hippowdon one - I wouldn't have to wait another turn because Sandstorm would finish Zangoose off.

A - Lv40 Poliwags can be found, but Poliwhirls can only be found up to Lv10.

Q - At 5pm yesterday I headed up Route 26 into the Pokemon League Gate. I stayed there for a while, considering if I should retake the Elite Four challenge (I've already beaten Red). Staying there was boring, as the only people around were a couple of police guards, so I decided to head out to Mr Silver, where I captured a Lv43 Larvitar.

Serene Grace August 29th, 2010 12:56 AM

Quite a hard one. The only think that I wasn't sure about up there was the Police Guards. I'm not sure there are any in Route 26.

I started my game in Pokémon Heart Gold and I have a level 10 Pikachu and a level 10 Poliwag.

Planetes. August 29th, 2010 1:30 AM

^you can't get a Pikachu in HG unless you traded for it/pokewalker/e4 beaten.
Come on you're a mod it should be harder

I think the answer to dia's is that Larvitar's can't be caught at Lv. 43, if not then I am just being a Gen2fag.

Anyway.

I was fishing yesterday on route 126, looking desperately for a wailmer when I managed to catch a clamperl, I finished the sidequest on the abandoned ship and recieved a deepseascale from Captain Stern in Slateport and proceeded to trade the clamperl with the deepseascale attached with my friend, and he traded it back to me. Now I have a really awesome Gorebyss.

Nobody got it?

Ok, well I went there at 5pm... and Janine visits the Pokemon League Gate everyday between 4pm and 6pm - so the police officers wouldn't be the only people around. The Larvitar thing was just to throw people off track.

Clamperl can only be captured while diving.

Q: Argh! My Lv28 Grovyle finally lost to a Torkoal. I've had him since Birch gave me that Lv5 Treecko, and I really thought he was unbeatable. He tried a Leaf Blade but it wasn't very effective. Torkoal replied with an Overheat which instantly defeated Grovyle. Groan. I have training to do.

Helvetica August 29th, 2010 2:46 AM

Leaf blade's learned at lvl 29, ans the attack would do normal damage.

My Adamant Staraptor 's ominous wind is so powerful, even at 50 base. It knocked a Drifloon out at the same level as it. And people complain about it's special.

(No, the attack's strenght was referenced there, not stats. Also, Ominous Wind + Adament Staraptor= useless.)

Andrut August 29th, 2010 2:55 AM

Misdreavus can't have 140 speed. You didn't say the stats of the Mismagius, you were still talking about Misdreavus.
Sorry, i was slow.
As it is Adamant,it couldn't have 50 base special attack. Am i right? O_o
I was playing Emerald. I haven't found a Wailord at route 129. When will it appear?! I have battled trainers and my Stantler reached level 50. Woohoo! It had the moves: Calm Mind,Confuse Ray,Solarbeam and Thunderbolt. I'm going to take the battle frontier challenge. I won with my:
Latios lv 50 @Sitrus Berry: Swift,Ice Beam,Dragon Claw,Psychic,Luster Purge
Stantler lv 50 @Stardust: Calm Mind,Confuse Ray,Solarbeam,Thunderbolt
Grumpig lv 50 @TM27: Splash
then i went to have a rematch with Winona. She was tough, but i defeated her. Accidently my Latios had hit level 51. I can't use it in Battle Frontier again on "level 50" course....
Then i went to route 117. I caught a Seviper, named it Sev and made it reach level 50. I finally have a Wailord! Bless Route 128!
A hard one.

Planetes. August 29th, 2010 10:47 AM

wailord doesn't appear on route 128...

My team on emerald is really awesome, my favorite moves to use are luster purge and thunderbolt. They almost always OHKO the defending Pokemon. Emerald is kind of fun, but I wish I could leave my house so I could trade with someone or go to a nintendo event and recieve a deoxys, but I'm grounded for life ever since that little incident. I wish I could get a Latias, though, its would be my 8th dragon type so far, I consider my self a dragon tamer now. My dragons are Bagon Lv. 32,
Shelgon Lv. 38. Salamence Lv. 54, Vibrava Lv. 40, Flygon Lv. 48, Kingdra Lv. 43, and Latios Lv. 58.

Ding dong....WRONG! As there are no wailords on that route,i could still get it from a player called "Route 128". The name is too long,so that's the right answer.
You had 6 dragons.
Yay! This day, i finally found a Ledyba,Mareep,Stantler,Miltank,Teddiursa in Safari Zone. Yay! Then i went to Wally's house and received a Wailord! Yay!
My new pokemon had the following moves, after i trained them:
Lady Bug- Comet Punch. Yay!
Sheepy- Thundershock. Yay!
Deery- Calm Mind. Yay!
Cow Cow-Milk Drink. Yay!
Teddy- Faint attack. Yay!
My new pokemon were so awesome! Yay! I caught a lot of pokes in Safari Zone this day! Yay!
The "yays" are for disorientation. xD

Perriechu August 29th, 2010 11:09 AM

Wow...gonna go for a long shot...erm
Ledyba are caught around 35-37 in the safari zone so it won;t know comet punch.
And the Wailord and Wally's house...

ghfhsfhsvhf my Torterra just learnt wood hammer at level 47

Grass attacks do Not very effective damage onto Fire types

I could just use a heart scale, and like my sample above,Wally could be my friend that wanted to trade a Wailord with me. The wrong thing is, i haven't caught the pokemon. I just FOUND them.
Umm...you didn't post anything. (?)
Torterra doesn't learn Wood Hammer. You may only use a heart scale.
Okay,an easy one because it's an edit.
I found a wild Groundon in Terra Cave.

Planetes. August 29th, 2010 11:43 AM

xoax, you were wrong the 7 Pokemon I listed were Dragons.

so I'll post it again to keep the thread alive

How does one obtain Kingdra without trading?

I've always hated the moves Flash, Cut and Rock Smash because I can't delete them till I get to the move remover. I have no idea why I taught my Zangoose Cut and Rock Smash, now I have to wait till Lilycove City to get rid of them.

Planetes. August 29th, 2010 3:00 PM

^HIS NAME IS THE MOVE DELETER

My Torkoal is quite powerful, my strategy is for it to use curse to boost its stats and then go for a body slam.
Maxie's Torkoal is nothing compared to mine. My Mudkip can beat it and its only at Lv. 21 and knows Water Gun, Mud Slap, Tackle, and Foresight. I am choosing not to evolve it so it learns hydro pump at Lv. 42.

And Xoax, please ask questions that refer to in-game mechanics and not sense/street smarts.

Resultz August 29th, 2010 3:05 PM

Maxie does not at any point ever own a torkoal

I recently fed my budew some vitamins, and such.. It was a shiny and i like its purple frilly thing. It has poison point and knows mega dran, worry seed, stun spore and absorb.
Anyway i found it at level 4. Im going to get it to learn spikes and extrasensory by egg move. I evolved it to roselia, i was surprised it only took 61 vitamins to get it to max happiness. My roselia has a black rose which i think is cool, too.

i was feeling mean.

Planetes. August 29th, 2010 3:11 PM

^um.......you kind of missed my above post by a lot, you read the rules right?

Resultz August 29th, 2010 3:16 PM

you mean the answer before or after i edited it. i replied to an earlier one and forgot to post, so when i got back, a whole page had passed :3

if you mean the edited answer then im confused..

Planetes. August 29th, 2010 3:28 PM

^oh sorry about that-you edited it, so nevermind.

You can only learn one egg move

I was walking down route 45 in my Heart Gold game and I came across a Graverler level 26. I used my machamp to one hit K.O. it with wake up slap. My machamp leveled up from 73 to 73. I was happy because i was training him. I had been training him for months after i recieved in a trade in which he evolved from machop. But after a long time of training with out healing or anything he was K.O.'d by a Gligar level 25 who used knock off on him. He still got a lot of leveling done.

3 mistakes, good luck

Planetes. August 29th, 2010 6:39 PM

^well you are only supossed to have 1 mistake but...
machamp would be lvl 74
machamp evolves from machoke
Gligar can't be level 25 on that route

------------------------------------
I was in a Wi-Fi battle against UberChomp6 from Serebii (he's not real so don't go actually try to challenge him) After my Tentacruel had killed his Garchomp by using Muddy Water. My Tentacruel wasn't too tough, my main use for it was to set up toxic spikes which I used the turn before muddy water. Uberchomp6 sent out his last Pokemon, Zangoose. Crush Claw got a crit and wiped out Tentacruel. My last Pokemon was Hitmonlee, I gave it 252 Atk Evs 252 Speed and 4 HP. It used Hi-Jump Kick and knocked Zangoose down to red HP, but toxic spikes fainted it and I won the battle now I'm off to go teach my Donphan seed bomb so I can use it against Darkachu4 (don't try to battle him either) in my upcoming match.

dragonite149 August 29th, 2010 11:49 PM

Is the mistake that Toxic Spikes doesn't damage your opponent's Pokemon at the end of every turn?

My Pupitar is totally awesome! It knows Hyper Beam,Rain Dance,Bite and Stomp. I can't wait till it evolves into Tyranitar at level 55.When it evolves it will have levelled up 10 times since I caught it in Victory Road.

Can you find the mistake?

Planetes. August 30th, 2010 12:34 AM

^you can't catch Pupitars in victory road
and I guess your right about my question well sort of, its because of Zangoose's ablility that it would have survived since it can't be damaged by poison.
--------------------------------
Me and my friend were battling and his Blissey used Gravity as a strategy to disable my Gengar's levitate and exploit it with his torterra. Gengar was knocked out the next turn, but my Staraptor made a brilliant comeback during the next 2 turns using Brave Bird on Torterra and Close Combat on Blissey, both of which were 1 hit K-O's.

nice, got all three
thoguht it would be harder

Mjyr1 September 3rd, 2010 4:51 PM

In red, I was wandering in the small grass pit south of Pallet Town for six hours without finding a Tangela

dragon0fangz September 3rd, 2010 8:25 PM

uhhh. there are no mistakes.
I guess it technically shouldnt be called a pit but thats it.

On my japanese Blue, I was so excited to finally get a Poliwhirl. So I ran to Cerulean and traded it for a Jynx named Rougela. I am so happy to finally get a Jynx!

Tangela is the only Pokemon that can be captured there.

A: The Jynx is named Zynx, not Rougela.

Fire Red's Elite Four is pretty tough, even the first time around. In fact I wouldn't have beaten Agatha's Haunter if it hadn't been for my Crobat's Air Slash.

imevil September 5th, 2010 8:17 AM

in fire red golbat wont evolve till after the e4

in emerald i had trouble with the e4, but the easiest battle was against Glacia. I was especially happy when my Blazikens blaze was suoer effective against her walrien and ohko'd it

DarkAura25 September 6th, 2010 10:17 AM

Fire is neutral damage on a walrein because of it's duel type which is water

It took forever but I finally hatched a riolu with the move follow me, this is going to help me so much. Now those double battles will be easy to win and I can distract them from hurting my Charizard. I am glad I bought Diamond as my first pokemon game. I don't get Heart gold until next month, that will be my second one.

2 Mistakes can you find them both ^

dragonite149 September 6th, 2010 12:17 PM

Blaze is not a move,it's an ability. And if your talking about a move a Fire type move wouldn't be Super Effective against Walrein.

Man, Barry was tough! His Torterra PWNED my Infernape. Luckily my Ampharos's Static Paralyzed it,then my awesome Vaporeon swept it with Aurora Beam. His Flareon,Electivire and Mantine were tough though. I had to rely on my Salamence to take care of Flareon, Electivire and Mantine though. Dragon Dance+Earthquake for the win!

Diablerie September 6th, 2010 12:57 PM

Barry never has Flareon, Electivire and Mantine.

I was so eager to start my Sapphire game. I was annoyed when the game started me off all the room, and I had to go all the way outside for my adventure to start.

DarkAura25 September 6th, 2010 1:08 PM

Wrong my good sir ;) In reality you start sapphire in a moving truck as a kid moving to a new town

Diablerie September 7th, 2010 10:22 PM

^Uh, were you gonna ask a question?

Asked that before and didn't get an answer

dragonite149 September 8th, 2010 11:40 PM

[QUOTE=Diablerie;6134391]Barry never has Flareon, Electivire and Mantine.
[QUOTE]

Wrong! I never said Barry was my rival.
PS:Look near the end of the text for the mistake. It has something to do with types.

The Jewel of Life September 9th, 2010 6:13 PM

I found your mistakes, Dark Aura.

You couldn't possibly own a charizard if Diamond is your only game.
Riolu can only learn follow me by breeding in HG and SS.

Recently I wanted to battle my little sister's powerful team of six lv 100 pokemon with just my lv 100 sableye. To my surprise, my sister sent out her shedinja first! I was able to use roleplay and glean the effects of its wondergaurd, which helped me win the battle easily. I can't believe that my sister would do something so stupid!

Pikachu lvl88 September 10th, 2010 6:32 AM

False. Sableye doesn't learn Roleplay in any mean (I even checked if I'm right). Also Wonder Guard can't be Role Played.

In Crystal I want to raise my Pikachu's Special Defense so I used a Zinc on him.

(1 mistake)

The Jewel of Life September 10th, 2010 6:48 PM

@Pikachu lvl88: Actually, sableye can learn role play through breeding.

I leave the errors in yours for the next person.

vaporeon7 September 11th, 2010 12:42 AM

Zinc dosen't exist until the 3rd Gen.

During a battle I had my Politoad use Metronome against a Cherrim. To my luck it was the super effective move, Chatter. Because I had already weakened it with Doubleslap it fainted. My opponent then sent out an Octillery who used Octazooka which weakened my Politoad and lowered its accuracy. But I was then unfortunate because I used Metronome again and it was Explosion which missed.

The Jewel of Life September 11th, 2010 3:11 PM

Vaporeon7's mistake was that metronome cannot activate chatter.

Today I was playing emrald version. I was enjoying an excellent battle against a carvanha using my numel Soot. Despite him being a fire-ground type, soot was still winning because carvanha was not using any water attacks. However, right before I was able to hit it with the finishing move, carvanha used aqua jet, which allowed it to move first, and Soot fainted. Darn those double super effective moves!

yaya0 September 11th, 2010 5:31 PM

Aqua Jet is a Generation 4 move.

I challenged the Elite Four yesterday with my Level 100 Feraligatr, which knows the moves Uproar, Icy Wind, Endure, and Surf. I beat all four of them easily, and then swept the Champion 6-0. After defeating Blue, I went to the Viridian Forest and caught a Pikachu that was not holding an item.

ShyRayq September 11th, 2010 6:48 PM

... ummm, feraligatr cant learn uproar?

Well, in platinum, my meganium pwned the 3rd gym! Maylene didnt stand a chance against my meganium's air slash! Next, im gonna beat the 4th gym, flannery! Man, her dragon types are gonna be hard!

well lotsof mistakes XD

yaya0 September 11th, 2010 7:08 PM

-Maylene isn't the 3rd gym leader in Platinum
-Meganium can't know Air Slash
-Flannery is a gym leader from Hoenn, and uses Fire types

BTW, the Totodile line can learn Uproar in Pt/HG/SS.

ShyRayq September 11th, 2010 7:11 PM

oh, my bad, well i dont know
ill just give another round!

Man! Smasher wake was hardcore! My meganium didnt stand a chance against water types! why did water have to be super effective against grass types? luckily, my salamence saved the day by using judgement! Man that was awesome, killing wake's kingdra like a toffee! Next, is the 5th gym leader, Fantina who uses dark types, SCARY

Diablerie September 11th, 2010 7:34 PM

-It's Crasher Wake, not Smasher Wake.
-Water is not super-effective on grass types.
-Wake doesn't have a Kingdra.
-Salamence cannot learn Judgment.
-Fantina uses Ghosts, not Dark-types.

Well I just started playing Yellow, and so far it's been cool. I started from Pallet Town, eventually visited Oak's lab and got a Pikachu. I had to face my rival, with an Eevee, and I then eventually got out onto Route 1. I couldn't do much yet as first I had to visit the Viridian Pokemart. Once I had Oak's Parcel safely in my Key Items pocket, I returned it to Oak and then headed to Viridian Forest, where I captured a Lv9 Pidgeotto.

ShyRayq September 11th, 2010 11:09 PM

-you get pikachu in the wild, not at oak's lab
-pokemon yellow dosent have a key items pocket
-you dont use eevee againts your rival (unless your talkin bout him USING an eeve then its ok)

another from me XD
woah, Fantina was a killer! her mismagius's tackle almost killed my meganium! i think i should train it at route 501 later. salamence, however, pulled through with a DD'd tackle to destroy Fantina's ghost pokemon! well, Fantina's Pewter gym was easy overall. I think i'll catch a rayquaza at route 218 before i go to canalve and battle roark(the first gym leader) at that bridge place.

Diablerie September 15th, 2010 10:55 PM

The answer was that there is no key items pocket. Oak catches it on the route, but gives it to you in the lab, and the rival uses Eevee.

As for yours:

-Fantina's Mismagius does not have Tackle.
-Route 501 is not in Sinnoh.
-Salamence doesn't learn Tackle.
-Tackle would not harm Ghosts.
-Fantina's Gym is not in Pewter.
-Rayquaza is definitely not found on Route 218.
-Roark is not Canalave's leader; Byron is.
-Byron is not the first leader.

Uh, you realise you're only supposed to have one error, right?

The big battle between me and my friend Jack was on. We decided it would be 3 on 3. I led with Rapidash and he used Roserade. I used Sunny Day, and he tried Toxic, which missed. Rapidash then used a super-effective Flamethrower to KO Roserade. Next Jack used Blissey. Normally, I hate those things, but this time I came prepared. I switched out to Lucario (Blissey used Double Team), and then Lucario nailed Blissey with a Close Combat. Jack's last Pokemon was Dragonite. Lucario tried a Stone Edge, but Jack anticipated it and weakened it with Dragonite's Charti Berry. Dragonite struck back with Dragon Claw, taking out Lucario. I went back to Rapidash, and purely on a whim, used Solarbeam (didn't have to charge cos of Sunny Day). It critted and took out Dragonite! Go Rapidash! :)

dragonite149 October 2nd, 2010 3:49 AM

Toxic can't miss?

My question:
When I was fishing north of Jubilife I found a Finneon. I called it Oceana and it swept every gym and E4 Battle by itself, evolving into Lumineon before Maylene. I'm way proud of Oceana!

Diablerie October 2nd, 2010 4:53 PM

Actually, the answer was that by the time Solarbeam was used, the Sunny Day had worn off.

A - Finneon cannot be found north of Jubilife.

Q - That Shedinja was giving me problems with it's Wonder Guard and Leech Life. So I switched to Gardevoir and used Skill Swap, then proceeded to take it out normally.

Skystrike October 2nd, 2010 6:04 PM

A- No.
Q: I caught Regigiias when I caught Regirock in Platinum.

ShyRayq October 2nd, 2010 9:33 PM

-you need all regis for regigigas

and i thought you could have any number of mistakes
wateva

well, byron was the easiest yet! his steel types were LAME! they're super effective against grass types so my meganium's seed flare was great

Project. October 2nd, 2010 10:14 PM

well, byron was the easiest yet! his steel types were LAME! they're super effective against grass types so my meganium's seed flare was great

Steel isn't super affective against grass types, and seed flare wouldn't be great against steel types.

Mine: I had caught all those lake Pokemon from Acuity, Valor, and Verity in their caves!

ShyRayq October 2nd, 2010 10:22 PM

mesprit isnt in its cave
it ROAMS around
and on my one, meganium doesnt learn seed flare - i think

another!
candice is so gonna pay! she pwned all my pokemon with her articuno! >.<
why does she have a legendary anyway?
so im gonna train with some wild blisseys outside of snowpoint town
XD

1. Candice does not have Articuno
2.Blisseys cannot be found ANYWHERE in the wild

When searching in the grass near the Sudowoodo, I found a Growlithe! It's Bite attack will help me catch Lugia to use against Lance. Both of his Dragonites are tough!

2 mistakes, can you find them?
