Your thoughts on Shinies?
Am I the only one who doesn't particularly like shinies? i think the whole sparkle thing is annoying. I think they should make the sparkle animation simultaneous to the pokemon's animation (kinda like D/P/Pts Ball seals). And have you ever found a shiny in your whole gaming life?
For me, my first ever shiny was a Shiny Sentret on the original Silver, then a Phanphy and Bellsprout on Diamond X) and I think there was also a Swablu in Emerald. Oh, and once, I was trying out my friends SoulSilver and I found a shiny kakuna O.O and I didn't even have pokeballs yet *facepalm* So basically : 1. Do you like shinies? -what do you like/dislike about them? 2. Have you ever found a shiny? 3. If so, what pokemon was it? |
I've found:
- Machoke (no pokeballs) - Kricketot (caught, traded pretty fast) - Grimer (caught, only separated with for 3 pokes, I loved it so much). I do like shines...but some of them I dislike, for example, Dratini and it's evolutions, particularly Dragonite's shiny form, which is hideous |
In general yes I do like the Idea of shiny Pokemon, they are quite rare and come off as being a novelty.
there's no ultra advantage to them, other then just having an alternate color, but for collection purposes I think they are cool.... some people just get too obsessed with having Shiny Pokemon and that's where I think the dislike for them comes because people without them get annoyed/jealous. basically for me it's if you got one cool, awesome... if not it's not a big deal I've gone through almost 100 hours in HG and have yet to see a shiny pokemon other than Rage Lake Gyarados and I'm not shedding any tears. |
It's not that I like the look of them all, but some of them look really good and I love the feeling of finding them.
I have had 3 shinies altogether: Cascoon for Pokemon Emerald (Didn't use) Poochyena for Pokemon Ruby (Now level 84 Mightyena on Platinum) Marill for Pokemon SoulSilver (Now level 100 Azumarill on SS called Goldie) |
I love them! And that's why I am trading in the trade corner. I dnt have a dislike and no ive never found one sadly. :)
|
I'm not really that bothered about them. I like the feeling of finding one as you feel as though you've accomplished something, but after I caught my only shiny which was a Ratatta, it's just stayed in my PC.
|
In all my games, I have found over 10 shinys XD
But, after trading for a month I have over 300 now. |
Shinnies are a great Idea. Because it's so rare, it makes it a great feeling to find one. It's good that it doesn't have any advantage, or else it would make it kinda unfair and not as fun, and is a great bragging right. It's not fun when people just cheat to get them, or dedicate their life to finding them. I have only found one shiny in my entire gaming career (Like, 5 years of pokemon) And that is my shiny Ho-Oh. My sister found a shiny zubat though, but we didn't know about shinies, and were confused. But we caught it
|
In my opinion, most of the shiney Pokemon look rather ugly or peculiar. Having said that, I do like the look of the black Charizard and Rayquaza.
|
I like Shinies,I wouldn't say I love them.
I've never found a shiny in my life, but I have caught one which was Gyarados at The Lake of Rage. |
i found a gyarados (not lake of rage),a onix and a Arceus(i got the azure flute from a cheat, but i didnt have the shiny code on) Im trying to find a smeargle on diamond but i cant chain for the life of me
|
Shiny Pokemon are an awesome addition to the game. It adds a whole new level or rarity to the Pokemon that are shiny. Also, shiny hunting is just another fun activity among many that can be found in Pokemon games.
|
I'm going to move this over to General Pokémon Gaming since this thread isn't only specific to HG/SS alone.
As for myself, I do generally like Shinies. I don't like all of them, as well, some are just ugly in an alternate color. However, if I were to find one I would be catching it. I've caught quite a few shinies overtime, I believe my very first shiny was an Absol in Pokémon Ruby. I never even realized it was a Shiny at that time since I was so young, I just figured it was different from the rest. |
Yeah, I like shinies. I've found two in my entire gaming career. The first was a shiny Magikarp I found in Pearl (ironically, I found it while I was EV training), in the lake at Pastoria. The second was a Dratini I found in Platinum, which had a perfect nature for a Mixnite. He's my favorite pokemon, now. Forgive me, Lucario! XD
Edit:I didn't catch my shiny Dratini, I hatched it. My memory sucks. |
Shinies are cool, they give you some reason to not use that repel.
I've never caught/hatched a Shiny at random, and I've only seen one with just plain luck. (A Rhydon. Figure out the rest >_<) I have 20-25 of them, but all are caught while chaining. |
In my gaming history I have caught 3 Shinys.
-Primeape - Victory Road, Kanto, Leaf Green -Hariyama - Victory Road, Hoenn, Emerald -Floatzel - Route 218, Sinnoh, Platinum I don't care for them, some of them look more beautiful, some of them - worse. I'm playing on emulators, so trading with anothers is impossible. It doesn't make sense to seek them for me. |
I think they're really cool, and usually pretty as long as they're not some awful colour that looks like puke or something, xD. I haven't caught any myself yet, but have had a few given to me as gifts. I like the idea of them, they're rare and collectable and kind of gives you something to do when you feel like you've done everything else in-game, lol.
|
I do think that they're cool, but I've never had one. Other than the red Gyardos, obviously.....
I'd love a shiny Umbreon. They look so cool. Also a shiny Ponyta |
I think shinies are fun to have. They are a good collector's item and they give your team a unique look. That said, I don't go out chain because I must have shinies. I've tried chaining but always break the chain at like 10 and I've tried breeding but I'm too impatient for that.
I've gotten 2 shinies legally: Lake of Rage Gyarados: I didn't know what a shiny was when I captured it in the original Gold. I also got one in SS, obviously. Pearl: My very first, non-scripted, legal shiny was a Shiny Pinsir. I was walking through the area towards the Fight Area and one attacked me. |
I like shinys, but theres nothing like the origanal. My brother traded me a shiny mew.Theres nothing I dislike about them, that I can think off
|
I think they're a cool idea and add something to the game for collectors. They used to excite me when I was a kid playing gold and silver. I used to get bored sometimes and try to hunt for one that I wanted, but I've moved on to the metagame since then. I'd take a pokemon with good IVs/nature ect. over a shiny any day, but they are still fun to find.
I see way too many people obsessing over them now today, scouring the trade forums trying to find a shiny they don't have. They're different colors and make a special effect when they come out, but other than that are no different than any other pokemon. Shinies really don't mean anything to me unless I get them myself. My random encounter Shinies: ekans in silver zubat in gold (original gold/silver) chinchou in ruby (hatched a random egg, put it in my PC, realized it was shiny a month later) Nidorino in FR safari zone (ran away) Rhyhorn in FR safari zone (ran away on me too, that place is evil) Gastly in LG Dratini in FR (15 min SRing at the game corner FTW) Azuril in Diamond safari zone |
Most shinies are significantly uglier than their normal-colored counterparts. So yeah, I don't particularly care for them. I think the only shiny I've ever encountered was a Manectric while playing around on a Sapphire ROM. XD
|
Some shinnies are worth my time like Gliscor, Milotic, Ho-oh or Pachirisu but most of them really suck
|
I've found Beldum, Grimer, Buneary, Ponyta, Meowth, and Swinub and had captured each of them. I raised up Beldum, traded away Grimer and Ponyta to friends, and Meowth, Buneary, and Swinub remain untouched.
Shinies are okay. If one comes my way I'll capture it, but I don't go out of my way or stress out over not finding one. And I have to agree that outside the Beldum line, most shinies are actually worse looking than their regular counterparts. |
The only shiny I caught was a Weedle in my Silver game. It forever sits in a box on Pokemon Stadium 2, forgotten about until I can mention it for small bragging rights. Other than that Weedle, I have never seen another non-story shiny.
Shinies really don't mean much to me. No stat boosts, and most of the shiny forms don't impress me with the color choices. Of course I enjoy the black Charizard and a few others, but most of them are just meh. Even if I do catch another one, it'll probably go the way of shiny Weedle, and sit in a box until I feel like level-grinding a random Pokemon. |
I love shineis! They are so cool. I dont care for shinies that much in-game, but I do in GPX+
|
Some shinies are it, some are way off it. I don't particulary care, but I'm not complaining if one crops up :)
|
Honestly, I don't like very much shinies because I think it is a underused concept; I mean, they could have used this idea better: why shiny charizard isn't fire/dark with a different moveset and stats; or instead of only color change why not a desing change? Shiny ponita could have black fur and purple pattern on his body and be fire/ghost, or shiny blastoise could be more similiar to wartortle, with the waves things and lighter than a normal blastoise and have water/fighting types...
Anyway the only shini I've caught is a pidgey in pokemon prism, while searcing for ralts...and basically it was just a pidgey, nothing special... |
I like some shiny forms but I'm not too fussed about shiny Pokémon. =\ If I want a shiny I'll make an effort to find one though.
|
I love them, even though I've never caught one... They add this awesome little touch to the game, it gives you something you can look forward to, and when you find one you just feel great about it. Best part is showing them off though, of course, lol. Only thing they could do to make them a bit cooler would maybe be alternate sprites for shinies. Maybe just a different pose or something, but even that would be cool.
|
Idk, I don't hate them, but I don't particularly like them. I've never found any besides the Gyarados in G/S/C and HG/SS. I did get traded a Shiny Dragonite over the GTS before, and amazingly, it had perfect EVs and was legit. All that for a Regular Jolteon.
Anyway, I suck at chaining. 10 is the most I've ever had... |
Yeah theyre cool, the only shiny I found (except red gyarados) was waaay back in original Pokemon Gold, while I was training in Mt. Silver, I suddenly came across a silver ponyta :OOO it hought wtf, did something broke or what, and later i found out it was actually a shiny :D
I never evolved it though, was too afraid it was gonna lose its silver color P.s. People who cheat to get shinines..darn you, they are just lowering the value of the real shinies D: |
I like the fact that it adds more variety to the species in a way. Don't really care about the whole sparkly thing the different color thing is what really intrigues me. Of course I really don't like it that some shines are just a slite shift of hue or the color scheme isn't to my liking.
in 2nd gen gold I've found a shiny growlithe but accidentally fled through impulse and hatched a shiny cleffa In ruby I caught a shiny carvanha(was aiming for feebas with I never caught in that version), hariyama and a purple wailmer In emerald Shiny poochyena, seviper, and another shiny wailmer(it's stalking me owo) After that hadn't had much luck with random encounter shinies and don't really do chaining. |
I've encountered two that I can remember.
1. A Shiny Butterfree in a bug catching contest back in Silver. (Didn't help me win the contest :[ 2. Then I encountered a shiny graveler after 140+ hours in Heart Gold. It used self-destruct. FML. |
I'm aware that the stats are no different than a regular Pokemon, but I like them anyway because they look cool and they are rare enough to be considered trophies.
|
i agree, some shinies ARE nice, but some are just plain HIDEOUS. charizard looks cool whereas mewtwo makes me wanna puke babies.
|
I'd like a shiny, but just so I can say 'I have a shiny'. I would'nt cheat to get them, and while I really like normal Gorebyss, I think It's shiny is very ugly indeed.
Only shiny I've ever was was Shiny Zapdos in Firered, but then I did'nt even realise it was a shiny becuase the colour is'nt that different. It was one of my favourite pokemon for other reasons. I do think though that If I got a shiny again, It would'nt leave my party unless it was a pokemon type I don't like. |
I think a lot of shiny colors are ugly. Really I don't get why so many turn an ugly green or just cop out and become a shade lighter/darker.
A huge part of me wishs some shiny pokemon get redesigns/colors but that'll never happen lol There are a few shiny pokemon I have, some I've chained for and others I just got lucky or traded. PS: Why does every plant pokemon turn just into autumn colors? It's not all that bad...but still...all of them? |
I think shinies are okay, it's always nice to have a novelty Pokemon, however some of the recolours are either terrible or lazy.
Shinies I've had: Fire Red: Machop (Forgot I had it and restarted my game) Pearl: Zubat Heart Gold: Eevee (Recieved from this years VGC) |
It's a running gag with me and my friends that I had a horrible childhood because I never found a single shiny. I hate shinies purely because they seem to hate me. :< But in reality I love them, and Umbreon, Dragonite, and Rapidash are my favorites. Scizor is pretty cool too.
|
Well, I tend to dis-like shiny Pokemon, it really depends on which Pokemon is shiny.
For example, Treecko's shiny sprite almost makes you want to vomit, while Rampardos's doesn't look to bad. I've only found two (Legit) shiny Pokemon. The first was the Shiny Gyarados in lake of Rage, but that's an inevitability. The second was a shiny Zubat in SlowpokeWell, which I caught (Yay!) To me, shinies are simply trophies. But I prefer not to use them, as I usually prefer the original colour scheme. |
honestly, i love the implication of shiny pokemon in the games. there's only one thing i would love to see though. it's the fact that if you catch a shiny, it should have a base stat increased. other than that, i think shiny pokemon are great to have
|
I like shinies, but I never came across one in the wild in any of my games.
I have two shinies that were traded to me from a friend, a Gloom (that will be a Vileplume) and a Mightyena. I really want to encounter one in the wild one day though. |
When I bought a copy of Pokemon Platinum off eBay (used condition) I noticed they hadn't wiped their data off it. So I took a look and there was a few shinies there! A Tyranitar, Roserade and that. So I transfered them over ,as well as some useful items, to my Soul Silver game.
|
The thaught of how rare shinies are make trainers crave to have one on their team. Once in gold, the Ho-oh on top of Tin Tower that i encountered was shiny, thaught the game was glitching because Ho-oh's colour was so weird, then i caught it anyway then to realise it was shiny :P, and well no one who has played Gold/Silver or HG/SS hasnt really encountered a shiny as red Gyarados is definitely counted.
|
To be honest, I'm torn when it comes to shinies. I love my shiny Mightyena to death, but I don't think I'd care for any more. (Loses it's "specialness.")
Also, a lot of shiny pokémon just look dumb.. Sure, you have your occasional awesome (Golden Mightyena, white Eevee, black Charizard to name a few.) On the other hand, you get those puke green ones (Espeon, Jolteon, etc.) Although I wouldn't say no to a shiny ditto. :] |
Would be better If everyone you see you instantly think (hack)
|
1. I think shinies are cool, the alternate coloration is fun. |
I don't particulary (sp?) care about getting shinies or not in my games, though I have had my share of good luck regarding them.
My first shiny ever was a Noctowl, in my Pokémon Gold game. I nearly teared with joy, since I had recently seen the anime episode where Ash catches one xD Then, the ever present Gyarados, a Zubat and a Pidgey in emulators... My most prized one was the shiny Lugia I found in the same game I found Noctowl... I was all like OMG A SHINY LUGIA MASTERBALL! Too bad it was stolen (the cartidge) T__T |
I <3 shinies. All I pretty much do on my beaten Plat. is train and chain.
Only two random shiny encounters, but I've chained about 10 shiny pokemon. |
1. Do you like shinies?
I actually don't care about them. ._. 2. Have you ever found a shiny? Once, but I didn't manage to get it. 3. If so, what pokemon was it? Cubone, in Rock Tunnel, Crystal Version. |
I have a shiny Nidoqueen, caught in LeafGreen as a Nidoran in the Safari Zone. I really need to train her someday.
Anywho, I like shinies. :3 But the whole potential for not being able to catch them when you find them is annoying. XD |
1. Yeah, I think they're a pretty cool gimmick.
2. Actually, I saw(and caught) my very first shiny ever 5 seconds ago and rushed to the first shiny thread I could find to tell everyone. I thought they were so rare I would never find one! 3. About 20 seconds ago, I caught a shiny Lotad! |
I'm not that interested with shinies. With the point that it doesn't really give additional stats in a pokemon. I have caught two but I forgot what it was. A shiny Butterfree, I guess? xD;
|
1. Do you like shinies?
> Not really. There are some gems [Beldum line, anyone?], but most are just plain fugly 2. Have you ever found a shiny? > No. At least to me, the Lake of Rage Gyarados doesn't count since everyone can catch one. 3. If so, what pokemon was it? > N/A |
Due to the insane rarity of shinies, I don't really care much for them, but when one shows up, I get psyched.
|
Hmm... Shinies, they don't make any difference...
They are just collection or for bragging rights, they don't have god like stats or stronger in particular... :S Though I have a few favorites :P I had a shiny Torterra, starter from Diamond. Hatched a shiny Eevee, shiny Igglybuff in Ss, Got a shiny Electivire and Swampert from trade this morning. When I was playing my brother's Lg I found a shiny Tentacool and shiny Pidgey, so I cloned them on Emerald, also caught a shiny Poochyena and a shiny Bagon. [: |
1. Do you like shinies?
They're okay. Nothing THAT special. 2. Have you ever found a shiny? RED GYRADOS!!! j/k. I haven't actually, but I've gotten some over trades. 3. If so, what pokemon was it? ... |
I like some of the shines but one day i look at a shiny pokedex and of the 493 pokes, i only like about 20 XD
I've caught many of them: Poliwag in Gold Makuhita in Ruby Farfetch'd, Geodude, Shinx, Skuntank, Noctowl in Diamond And of course i've RNG a lot of shinies. Personally i think that a shiny is like any other pokemon, i'm not a really great fan of shinies if they look ugly (like shiny Dragonite or shiny Alakazam =S) |
I love shinies, but I am yet to see/catch one in :|
Oh well, my time will come :) |
1. Do you like shinies?
Shinies are nice. Though there are only a few shinies that are awesome. The others are... okay? They're pretty much any other Pokemon to me, though. 2. Have you ever found a shiny? Indeed I have. 3. If so, what pokemon was it? Silver: Donphan Gold: Oddish, Weedle Pearl: Budew The others shinies that I have are either RNG'd, the egg in Crystal (Elekid), or traded over to me. That or I soft-resetted for it (i.e Shiny Bulbasaur in Soul Silver). |
i used to be afraid of shinies, but now i like them.
Pearl- I found a shiny bronzor in wayward cave but didn't catch it because i was scared of shinies that time. I found a shiny geodude in oreburgh mine and caught it. Soul Silver- I fought a trainer with a shiny kabutops in the battle arcade, no hacks or ar. |
I voted love them but to be honest I don't.
I appreciate them being a part of the game but there was no option saying 'yes'. Just 'I LOVE THEM'. -.- |
I like them. Some of them are really cool looking. I like having them. I think it's fun. And I'm glad we're able to use this site to spread them around and make them less rare.
I ran into a shiny oddish in the forest on Heart Gold. It's the first and only I've ever run into. (Although I think I MIGHT have run into a shiny tentacool on Crystal once but I'm not certain because back then I didn't know about shinies) And yes, I caught the oddish. So that one's special. |
To be honest, most of the shiny forms look absolutely terrible.
The puke green coloured shiny forms are the worst, most water types turn purple (no originality), some are so bad that you don't even know they are the shiny form and most very few "gold" pokemon are actually gold! The only shinies i like are Zapdos (even though there is minimal change), the 3 dogs and Charizard. Oh and Moltres. LOL * Whenever i play a rom, i will always edit 90% of the shinies. |
I love how shinys are different colours to their normal colours and usually pwetty :3
I do dislike a few like charmeleon because charmeleons my fav pokemon and they made it yellow :( Although Black charizard is awsome :D Yes I have caught a few shinys in my time :) Pidgey (SS) Tangela (FR) Bagon (Pearl) - I think thats it :O |
Got a shiny finally after about 12 years of pokemon, going to kick out the worst starter in existence meganium and replace him with the shiny gloom I caught :D just need to find a leaf stone now, lol.
|
I never have, and never will, care for shinies. I don't see how they're relevant at all or why people make a fuss about them. I have a shiny Skuntank that I use competitively only because he's got the right nature and ability, and I think the colour scheme is just as nifty as the non-shiny one. That's about it, really.
|
1. Yes i do like shinies. I love the way they shine :P
2. Yes i have. 3. Pokemon Silver - None unfortunately Pokemon Emerald - Tentacool (Caught it, Cloned i, Traded it for a load of rare pokemon :P) Pokemon Leaf Green - Bublasaur (was soft-resseting for a modest one but i came along a shiny along the way :D) Pokemon Diamond - Roselia (caught it, trained it to level 100, evolved it, loving it even more now that its a Roserade) Pokemon Platinum - Haunter, Vulpix, Tyrouge, Nidoran♂, Eevee, Poliwag (All done using the madusa method through breeding XD) Pokemon Soul Silver - Giratina (Was resetting the game to watch the cool animation and when i hatched the egg it was shiny!!! Since though my game has been reset :() |
I don't like most of the shiny-coloured versions of Pokemon. But I suppose they're kind of cool as a little extra thing, given how rare they are and all that. That's why I always try to catch every shiny I encounter... which isn't much so far.
My first shiny was a Raticate in Crystal, I think. I also recently managed to catch a shiny Swinub for my team in Heart Gold. The snot-green colour looks terrible on Mamoswine (it'd probably look terrible on most, if not all, other Pokemon), but at least it sparkles...? |
Shiny pokemon are ok to me, it's cool whenever I do find one but I don't like them as much as to go out of my way to find one. I've only found three out of playing all the games, those pokemon were
- Snorunt (D/P) - Pikachu (FR/LG) - Ralts (R/S/E) |
I don't have shinies except the Gyarados. ;___________;
Though due to that egg thing in Crystal or whatevs, I got two outta that, but other than that...nothing. :( Though I really do want one. I got to a chain of 40 with Ponyta and accidentally forgot to use repel soo that blew that chance. And um. I was aiming to get a shiny Chansey and Cubone, but got lazy. Atm, whenever I play HG, trying to use Matsuda method but meh. XD; In other words, I really want a shiny but I'm too lazy to bother trying to get one. |
I had a Tentacruel in FR, Mareep in Gold, and Shinx in Pearl and recently Kakuna in SS, I really do like Shinies but some are just lazy like Armaldo,
Anorith has Gold in place of Blue but Armaldo just looks like they layed foil over him and kept those colors and Garchomps thats just a darker form of itself. |
1. I like that colors of some Pokemon but I dislike a wtf chance of meeting them o.o
2. Yes. 3. Spinda in Ruby (bwahaha) |
I never really bothered looking for a shiny, since I really do not care. I only caught one shiny back then, and it was Pidgey.
|
I really haven't been concerned with catching a shiny. A shiny Pokemon doesn't have any advantage over a regular Pokemon, other than the fact that it is of a different colour. I have only ever encountered the red Gyarados, which in my opinion doesn't really count as it can be found and caught by anyone as part of the game's storyline.
|
Lemme see... Hmmm..
My first was a Bellsprout, but I didn't know that it was rare, and I casually released it. Next time was in my sis's Emerald, an Oddish. Sadly, I didn't have Pokéballs. Next time was on my sister's emerald, a DAMN shiny Zigzagoon. My sister kept it as an HM Slave. Until the save file was gone. The final time on Gameboy Advance, and ever was a shiny Zigzagoon in Ruby which I released due to its uselessness. I do remember having it for sometimes, until that town island... The one with Brawly, you know? Since Gen IV, I only found the Shiny Gyarados in Lake of Rage. |
I don't care about shinies. I've never gone looking for them, the odds make it a colossal waste of time.
I find one or two with every generation. My first was a Caterpie in Crystal, then a Zigzagoon in Ruby, Tentacool in Emerald, Voltorb in LG and recently another Tentacool in HG. I always catch them though. You can't not catch a shiny. |
I have been soooooo lucky twice in my live!!!
i bought a dratini in firered, looked at it and said OMFG!!!!it's F****** shiny!!! and when i was hatching a larvitar for egg moves i again said:OMFG!!!!it's F****** shiny!!! |
For the most part, shinies don't have much of a meaning to me besides something that's nice to have. I've yet to capture one in a real game cartridge and don't have time to go hunting/breeding for one, so building a love for them wouldn't be healthy for me either. I do wish I had more, though...
|
To be honest, I've never been much of a fan for Shiny Pokemons. They are only there for alternative coloring to a Pokemon or collecting. Nowadays, with the GTS and hacking, it became really easy to get a Shiny Pokemon. I have nothing against the idea, but it's something the franchise can live without. It's basically new colors and glitter, that's not really special.
However, I do like a certain few. It's always been one of my dream to get a Shiny Ponyta on my own. Then, I would evolve her into a Shiny Rapidash and my life would then be complete. :) |
1. Shinies are cool, but people get a little obsessed with them. There's nothing really special about them apart from different colors...
2. I found a shiny Spearow on my old Fire Red, but I turned it off and I forgot to save...:( 3. ^^^ |
I fondly remember my first shiny. I was coming out of Union cave in Pokemon Silver, and walked through the grass. The first Pokemon to attack me was a Shiny Spearow! I carefully whittled its HP down to about 1/4 (didn't want to risk too much), and caught it with my second Pokeball. Sadly, my silver save got deleted due to the internal battery dieing.
Other than that, I've gotten the Shiny Zigzagoon from the Berry Patch, Red Gyarados in HG and Silver(GBC), and PCP and a few others from trades. But the only one with my trainer ID and name is was the spearow. |
I never had the pleasure to come across a shiny.
I only owned one shiny which was from a trade with my friend. It was a shiny Ninetales. Honestly I could care less about shiny pokemon. I just view them as trophies, or an aesthetic change to your team. They're too rare and don't have anything really worthwhile to them besides a color swap and an animation. I'm a wet blanket I know. |
1. Do you like shinies?
- They're OK I guess. -SOmetimes they mess up a pokemons coolness, cuteness, etc. -sometimes they ENHANCE the coolness, etc. -Overall they're just like prizes, being rare and all 2. Yes a few. 3. First was Electrike. Found it on Ruby, under Cycling road. |
I like some shiny forms but I'm not too fussed about shiny Pokémon =\
|
I like shinies, and appreciate them, but then again, there only different colors. It would be so much better if they were slightly a bit more powerful than regular. That will just be plain awesome.
|
Shinies, to me, simply represent a novelty factor in a Pokemon. There are some shinies that make certain Pokemon look better, or cooler, but others look horrid (Here's lookin' at you, Groudon).
