Lmao! While we're at it, the Loser Ball that has no chance of catching a Pokemon! Maybe they should make a Pokeball that adds Pokedex data but doesn't allow you to keep the Pokemon, caught or uncaught. For those impossible pokemon you want just for the Pokedex entry.

Than fewer people will catch Magikarp and just catch Gyarados then :(

iNinja August 17th, 2010 7:59 PM

Hrm... Maybe a pokeball that is like chaining on D/P/P. It follows the same principals of the radar, just in pokeballs.You catch my drift?

Not really? does it make it more likely to see a shiny if you catch more of the same kind or something like that?

Powerflare August 17th, 2010 8:21 PM

Season Ball/Seasonal Ball: Effectivness changes between seasons. For instance 3x in summer, 2x in spring, 1.5x in fall, 1x in winter (or the other way around). Or just a random order. :P

Reverse Ball: Pokémon with higher catch rates have a lower chance of being caught, and those with low catch rates have a better chance of being caught. Only to a certain degree, however (so not like an Arceus would then have the catch rate of a Magikarp; that'd be broken). Also expensive ($3000 - $5000).

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire August 17th, 2010 8:23 PM

The seasonal ball would come in four colors, Azure for Spring, Vermilion for Summer, White for Fall, and Black for Winter, I'll give a cookie to however can get the reference :)

Or there could be 4 different Seasonal Balls like you say, and each would be most effective in their respective seasons, and less effective in others.

AuraGaurdian August 18th, 2010 6:03 AM

the season and weather balls seem like great ideas and powerflare I like the idea of a reverse ball seems like a cool concept.

MiniBall:Better catch rate for non-evolved pokemon.
MidBall:Better catch rate for pokemon in the middle of their evolutionary chain example jigglypuff,kirlia,rhydon etc. etc.
EvoBall:Better catch rate for fully evolved pokemon.
Just some ideas:)

PaxAmericana August 18th, 2010 1:13 PM

Don't we already have the Loveball for that though? XD;
I guess it's good for B&W since Kurt isn't there I don't think.. :x

Sand Ball - works better in the sandstorm condition.
Catch Rate 2.5x if used on a Pokemon in a sandstorm.
Hail Ball - works better in the hail condition.
Catch Rate 2.5x if used on a Pokemon in hail.
Rain Ball - works better in the rain condition.
Catch Rate 2.5x if used on a Pokemon in rain.

Somebody mentioned a Weather Ball, but I believe it was a bit different than this..

HypnosisVII August 19th, 2010 2:39 AM

Lol, i've never tried catching mewtwo with an ultraball.
only: Moltres/Zapdos/Articuno, Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza, Dialga/Palkia/Giratina.
Note: I caught a groudon in a pokeball in my ruby rom yesterday :P

I like the idea of a Season Ball. It sounds interesting and will have a great effect with the season feature. Or perhaps they would have seperate pokéballs for each season, making us spend more pokémoney .-.

$3000-$5000 seems a lot for a pokéball. It would be a poor choice to by 2 and the price is $6000 or $10,000. D:

I'd agree with something better than the Ultra Ball, but they have their specific order from Great to Ultra to Master already. Something like a Champion Ball would be weird. xD;

HaloSonic August 19th, 2010 6:11 AM

there should be an accumulative version of the Level Ball, which takes in account all your team member's levels, and the catch rate would be variant on that. for example, the closer your team is to Lv 100, the better the catch rate. would be good for netting legendaries. i had some other ideas, but honestly, i forgot them.

Nurse Barbra August 19th, 2010 10:33 AM

Sparkle Ball: If the pokemon is shiny the catch rate is x8, if its a normal pokemon its catch rate is x0.5
Would come in handy for pokemon that Roar/Teleport if there shiny. *coughgrowlithecough*

Miseraball: The lower the pokemons base happiness the higher the catch rate
200 = x0.25 catch rate
199 <->175 = x0.75 catch rate
174 <-> 150 = x1 catch rate
And so forth.

Very good idea, HaloSonic, good idea

Kelp August 20th, 2010 10:34 AM

Maybe not new pokeballs per se, but the option to change the colors of the pokeballs would be cool. They'd have the same capture rate, but i.e. the regular pokeball could be green instead of red on top.

Or new pokeballs altogether. That'd be cool too. ^_^

PaxAmericana August 20th, 2010 1:07 PM

still getting a lot of good ideas, keep it up yall

Ho-Oh August 20th, 2010 4:39 PM

Reshiram Man, maybe it would be best if you had some more input, rather than ask people to keep up the ideas.

As for that level ball idea, it would be nice but level 100's aren't that common in-game, so you could just really make it a legendary ball, instead.

coolnick37 August 20th, 2010 5:25 PM

if they made a love ball, XD why not make a gay ball that works the same way, but on pokemon with the same gender XD

Ho-Oh August 20th, 2010 5:53 PM

Uh... "gay ball"? Maybe just "opposite gender ball", I know that's boring, but still... "gay ball" is not likely to happen.

I think it should be called the "Rivalry Ball".
Guys and girls alike feel rivalry towards someone of the same sex from time to time, so I think it would be a good idea.

Ho-Oh August 20th, 2010 6:04 PM

...even better! Then again, we'd need one for the Pokemon without genders too... unknown ball?
