Alex_ November 20th, 2004 7:10 PM

geeze dont double post use edit....and when ur tryin to beat Norman use a fighting type pokemon

sunflare89 November 20th, 2004 7:14 PM

easier said than done dude! the only fighting type i have is makuhita and a weak one i didn' catch a shroomish or combusken either.

Deaths Jaws November 20th, 2004 9:25 PM

then go back and catch them then silly :)

you dont have to hit the gyms as soon as you see them...train up and you should be ok...after all its not he pokemon that helps you win with the Gym leaders..its your levels..if your higher than them in level and they havnt got the type advantage you should be able to crush them even without a SE attack....

just my 2 cents...

sunflare89 November 20th, 2004 9:45 PM

well My pokemon are Grovyle Lv.25/ SlugmaLv.26/ TrapinchLv.25/ PelipperLv.26/ MasquerainLv.26(need to find replacement for)/ MakuhitaLv.24. any ideas?

Flannery November 20th, 2004 11:18 PM

If you have troubles with Norman, you should get a fighting type pokemon. Blaziken or Breloom are good. Also, you can catch Makuhita and evolve it. But remember, your pokemon should have a high level.

Mr Cat Dog November 21st, 2004 2:35 AM

Train! That's the most important thing. If your highest level Pokemon is only Lv 26, then you seriously need to get some training in. Also, I find that Special types work a lot better than Fighting types because of Slaking's massive Defense. It's Sp. Def is much lower, so a STABed Special Attack will probably do more than a STAB Fighting attack. ^_^

he was pretty easy for me.my advice is catch a makuhita and get it to about level 30.make sure he knows some good fighting moves.

MysteryE November 21st, 2004 3:07 AM

Well... I think just keep training... I never had a hard time when fight him...

sunflare89 November 21st, 2004 4:31 PM

i beat norman i had forgotten that i got TM50 from Flannery!!!! I used Trapinch's dig to beat vigoroth and then used a combination of protect/wing attack by pelipper, catch my drift? (since slaking can only attack ever other turn! Good strategy huh?

sunflare89 November 21st, 2004 4:32 PM

i am trying to catch a feebas right now but am having no luck so i will just catch a wailmer instead.

Mr Cat Dog November 22nd, 2004 12:05 AM

Err... please don't double post, and what on earth has a Feebas got to do with you beating Norman? Since you have actually beaten Norman, I'll go ahead and close this seeing as the question's been answered. ^_^
