Well I've joked for a while saying Aguero would becoming to Manchester and it looks like it's finally happening albeit for the wrong team.

Alinthea July 20th, 2011 6:10 AM

Well, the Corinthians have withdrawn their offer for Tevez. That boy won't be happy there for another season, I do wonder what he will do.

Eruption July 20th, 2011 7:05 AM

Someone else will come in for him.

I suspect City will be willing to sell him for a more reasonable price when they realise that he'll only be sat in the reserves all season if they don't.

Alinthea July 20th, 2011 7:25 AM

I agree.
He wasn't exactly thrilled to be playing for them half way through the season and the obvious cracks were showing in the relationship between him and the manager. He will obviously be signed by a team in a hot country! XD

Eruption July 20th, 2011 7:28 AM

Considering he said he wouldn't go back to Manchester even for a holiday, I'm guessing he won't be going back.

Chances are he'll just buy out his contract if there are no other options.

Ivysaur July 25th, 2011 9:34 AM

I just want to Agüero to leave already and give us the cash. It's getting too annoying, and with that money we could get Rossi from Villarreal to fill in the spot and still get extra money. It's getting waaaaay too boring already and he has ruined most his reputation. If he must go, then it's fine, but he should stop saying that he doesn't care about us anymore. Cesc is handling it wonderfully well in comparison.

Eruption July 28th, 2011 12:22 PM

Your wish has been granted, wenty.

Good signing for city unfortunately.

Captain Fabio July 30th, 2011 12:03 PM

Since it is too early for a World Cup thread, might as well just post the results of the draws in here. For the EU:

Group I: Spain, France, Belarus, Georgia, Finland
Group H: ENGLAND, Montenegro, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, San Marino
Group G: Greece, Slovakia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lithuania, Latvia, Lichtenstein
Group F: Portugal, Russia, Israel, NORTHERN IRELAND, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg
Group E: Norway, Slovenia, Switzerland, Albania, Cyprus, Iceland.
Group D: Netherlands, Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Estonia, Andorra.
Group C: Germamy, Sweden, Republic of Ireland, Austria, Faroe Islands, Kazakhstan.
Group B: Italy, Denmark, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Armenia, Malta.
Group A: Croatia, Serbia, Belgium, SCOTLAND, Macedonia, WALES

England have a pretty good group! :3

Pave Low July 30th, 2011 12:14 PM

Here's me hoping Lithuania will advance through their group.

Oh wow, neighbours Latvia are in our group aswell, farewell Latvia!

Ivysaur July 30th, 2011 12:18 PM

We are going to be the ones to kick France out? Sweet.

Pave Low July 30th, 2011 12:24 PM

Spain and France are gonna have a good time. TBH, I want France to win; Went would be upset. Muahahaha

A very good signing indeed if I say so myself.

We'll say that and then suddenly the 'shock' defeats to Montenegro and Ukraine come in and we'll end up struggling to qualify.

At least we have Moldova & San Marino to put a few past.

MikeyOak August 4th, 2011 3:02 AM

England are already struggling to top a group with Montenegro in, even though we have been playing really well. Montenegro have been a surprise package in qualifying.
And this world cup draw isnt great for England unlike other groups there are 4 teams that can realistically top the group, Poland and Ukraine have good teams that have maybe not been at the top level recently but have qualified for past world cups.

Eruption August 4th, 2011 10:31 AM

Poland & Ukraine could come off the back of a successful euro 2012 tournament too since it will be on their own turf.

The Championship starts on Saturday. Going to the Boro v Portsmouth game.

Soon after of course everything will have kicked off. :D

Captain Fabio August 7th, 2011 6:22 AM

Well, two mistakes by De Gea and it looks like we could be out of the runnings already.
However, I never count out my Manchester United till the final whistle.
Welbeck off, Hernández on.

Eruption August 7th, 2011 6:56 AM

I think this is were I finally have my realisation.

I forgot about the community shield until I went on the bbc sport website.

Its been a transition for a while but I think I'm fairly sure I'm a Boro fan now after something like nine years supporting United. Good to see them pull it back to 2-2 though.

Captain Fabio August 7th, 2011 7:01 AM

I forgot Hernández wasn't on the bench, but the 2 defensive and 1 midfield changes aren't one I would make, however, it has paid off and Man U are firmly on top.

Crazy!

Comeback --check.
Scoring at the last minute --check.

Same old Man Utd. Fully deserved, though.

2Cool4Mewtwo August 7th, 2011 7:53 AM

lmao... I never even knew this thread existed...

3-2 to Manchester United. I'm so happy. Lost a bit of edge during the last 10 minutes of first half, but otherwise we were in total control of the match.

Fully agree.
I knew they would make a mistake as that ball bounced because they just looked like they didn't know what to do with it.

2Cool4Mewtwo August 7th, 2011 9:29 AM

Manchester City website claims that they won the Community Shield.

Ivysaur August 7th, 2011 11:11 AM

I'm happy to see David winning something. Unlike some certain people who also left our team this summer, I wish him the best.

2Cool4Mewtwo August 7th, 2011 12:22 PM

I felt like Aguero should've at least gotten a chance at today's match. It would be interesting to see former teammates playing on opposite sides this season.

I think a fair few would argue whether he deserves to win anything though.

Good win for United.
