It's true, not all dragons need to have wings!
Well after a great deal of consideration I've decided that Tyranitar does belong in the Dragon's Den!
I'm not completly convinced that it's a dragon, but there is a reasonable doubt, and with that alone, I cannot keep claiming that it isn't a dragon!
Kudos to you tkallab! You'll make a fine argumentator one day! I should know since I never loose arguments, and well..., I just did!
So I'll vote Tyraniter to stay in.

Tyranitar, I dunno.....
on the other hand i have something for Milotic:
It's based on the story of the ugly duckling mixed with the legend that Gyrados is based on.

Ugly Duckling: Feebas

Swan: Milotic

Ugly duckling=Feebas swims up the waterfall and becomes Swan=Milotic, plus Milotic has scales right like any Dragon mostly would, but Sea serpents have scales too so they are still in, yet Eels don't have scales, so they are out.
Sea Serpents, hmmmm judjing by that Manga Picture i think Milotic is too big to be a sea serpent, and of course your first reaction to this is she's a giant sea serpent, but do giant sea serpents have elegant faces? no, do giant sea serpents have string hanging from their chins? no.
so that leaves me my ancient enemy the oarfish.... i admit Milotic does seem like she was based on this, but what if, she was based on a water dragon instead? if nobody listened to me before, heres what i mean

Here is a Leviathan a Mlotic and a Gyrados:
There are many similarities beetween them, especially beetween the water dragon and gyrados, gyrados's appearance was obviously based of of it, but what about the similarites with Milotic long serpentine body, scales and despite Milotic's lack of viciousness she is still cousing of Gyrados and the Leviathan is the missing link beetween the two, not to mention in the bible Leviathan is portrayed as a sea monster, dragons being ferocious and violent at times, they are also portrayed as monsters, so, in conclusion Leviathan is a dragon wich, i think, atomatically makes Milotic and Gyrados Dragons.

I tried my best to prove a point Draggy.

tkallab November 2nd, 2010 6:52 AM

For the last time, a sea serpent is a sea dragon that has a lond snakelike body. A snake that lives in the sea is just a sea snake.

And Milotic has nothing to do with that myth. Ugly duckling, maybe, but that just makes Mikotic a swan. I'm indeed going with the oatrfish theroy here.
By the way, how do you know what the Leviathan looks like? And even if that was the real Leviathan, the only similarities I see are the scales that only make up half of Milotic's body, the end of the tail, and the long limbless body.

By the way, really draggy? Well... Now I'm not sure what to vote. I actually think Tyranitar is just a big reptile now... Hahaha!

DragonsFire128 November 2nd, 2010 7:47 AM

Can i become a member? I love dragons both pokemon and others, and I would love to be part of this group.

Xilfer November 2nd, 2010 7:52 AM

NO
sea serpent and sea snake are the same thing, serpent is another word for snake DUH!
And as for the Leviathan i saw it on Wikipedia, no thats not the real picture, but its the closest i could get.
Y'know, i think this discussion is getting out of hand, it's,frankly, becoming quite stupid, i think we should just call it a draw, both sides have made very good points, because it's like this is ripping us apart, a simple difference of opinion has turned into a huge argument, i say enough.

kind of dramatic, i know but it's the truth.

dragoniteuser November 2nd, 2010 11:00 AM

Well it didn't really divide us. Just look at tkallab and me, You would think we're ready to rip each other's throat pout, but with all this differences and steamed up debates, we're still good friends! :)
And about that T-tar, I said what I said, and I'll stick to it!

Xilfer November 2nd, 2010 11:15 AM

Oh few, ok y'know what, i think i'll stay out of this for now and let you two decide.

Welcome! Hope they don't scare you off with this battle I accidentally purposefully set off to keep the thread active so we can be a truly cultured club.

Btw, Draggy, good job you've come round. Why? Because, as was pointed out earlier, Tyranitar has similarities to Onokusu, so if Ttar was voted out, I'd be taking the fight to Onokusu the second he's available in my country xD

Smart Xilfer...smart......want me to let you know when I've shut them up in order to start voting? :P

Yes that would be nice. LOL.

dragoniteuser November 2nd, 2010 11:48 AM

But don't think I'm gonna back out from Milotic! IMO Milotic is more of a dragon then Gyarados is, and I'm 100% that gyarados is a dragon. You do the math!

tkallab November 2nd, 2010 11:52 AM

Haha, yeah.
Ey, have you checked Wikipedia's entry on Sea Serpents? Go read it, haha.
It says: This article is about sea serpents in mythology and cryptozoology. For actual marine snakes, see Sea snake.

Hah.

But yeah we're still friends and all. But I can't believe draggy and I actually convinced each other! Hahaha!
I'm already coming up with arguments on why Ononokusu is a dragon. Wanna hear them or should I shut up until we get his English name?

Anyway, regarding Milotic, I don't think I can convince anyone he's an oatrfish when they have been completely sure from the beginning. I can come up with more arguments, sure, but I've already played my trump card, and it didn't convince anyone. So unless anyone feels the need to continue with Milotic's discussion, I'm done. I still stand behind my opinion, though, and you better believe I'm voting no what you've been expecting from me.

And I got ninja'd. Draggy, do you have anymore arguments to share on Milotic or shall we call it a day?

dragoniteuser November 2nd, 2010 12:06 PM

I'm with you on this one, buddy. when it's enough, it's enough!

tkallab November 2nd, 2010 12:07 PM

Yup, we're not gonna convince each other this time.
...But I don kind of wonder what makes you think Milotic is more of a dragon than Gyarados...

dragoniteuser November 2nd, 2010 12:09 PM

I'll keep that for myself, thank you!
OK Amore, I'm pretty sure we're ready for a new topic! And where's Shilluete? Haven't heard from him in a while...

Xilfer November 2nd, 2010 12:18 PM

Yeah i was just about to ask the same thing.

so i take it the discussions about Milotic are over now?

P.S. if you live in the same place as Coolnick do you know him personally Draggy?

How about i set a new topic?

I would say probably. I mean, it's Charizard, right? He's an absolute beast. On the other hand, he did have Sceptile, Infernape and Torterra in Hoenn and Sinnoh, and they were pretty strong also.

tkallab November 2nd, 2010 1:04 PM

You guys are forgetting Pikachu!
I've been uninterested in the anime ever since around the Hoenn series reached the big climax, with Kyogre and Groudon. So Charizard is the only really strong Pokémon Ash has that I've seen in action.

So yeah, Charizard is Ash' strongest Pokémon that I know of.

Amore November 2nd, 2010 2:05 PM

Hmmm....Yes, Charizard generally appears to be the strongest.

Charizard, Pikachu and Sceptile were the only ones to defeat a legendary. So that puts it up there too.

Spoiler:

However, Sceptile did defeat Takuto's Darkrai, which had taken out more of Ash's pokemon than any other legendary that was defeated, so that puts it up there.

Infernape's appeared quite strong, but not strong enough yet.Poor Torterra keeps getting hammered for some reason. The last time he was scripted to battle well was when he nearly defeated Palmer's Rhyperior by *apparently* swallowing his own energy ball. I personally reckon it was simply Overgrow activating because Rhyperior had battered him so much.

So, after all that.....It's a tie between Charizard and Sceptile. They're both overcome enemies with a type advantage (Charizard vs. Gary's Blastoise, Sceptile vs. May's Blaziken), but I do think Sceptile may be stronger. Depends which one comes back to pwn ass in Isshu.

Time Guardian November 3rd, 2010 6:30 AM

I've only watched up to Johto before I stopped watching the series, so from what i know of it would be Charizard.

But, I can't say anything about from Hoenn onwards for the series so I'm just going from the area of the show that I've seen.

Maybe, Sceptile could be one of the best too but....i haven't really seen Charizard in that much action before, so, it's hard to tell, i'd maybe say so.
Charizard's pokeball is a lucky one.....why did i just say that?

tkallab November 3rd, 2010 7:33 AM

Yes, Charizard's Pokéball is lucky. He's the only thing in the world that keeps Ash from constantly being burned by Charizard, and such a high responsibility of course comes with great honor.

Amore November 3rd, 2010 12:18 PM

Lol...they should have an episode when Ash lent his Charizard to Gary for some reason, it got left at Oak's lab for a bit, and Prof. Oak accidentally gives it to a beginning trainer...

The trainer, so happy by finding a Charizard, runs through Viridian Forest, scaring everyone off with Charizard (not actually battling), until he reaches Pewter City. I'll put the dialogue in a spoiler...

Spoiler:

Brock: C'mon newbie, show me what you've got!
Newb: Go Charizard!
*Charizard affectionately Flamethrowers Brock, who realises who he is*
Brock: Team Rocket!
Newb: Where? Where?! Don't take my Charizard Team Rocket!
*Steelix Iron Tails the newb, and Charizard grabs his pokéball and flies off.

Xilfer November 3rd, 2010 12:22 PM

LOL, no need to make a whole story, although that would be hilarious.
Speaking of Pikachu, i think it's about time that it evolved, i mean, enough already, evolving time, if Pikachu (with it's current strength) evolved to Raichu it could pwn butt!

tkallab November 3rd, 2010 12:47 PM

Pikachu's never gonna evolve because:

1. It doesn't want to;
2. Pikachu is Pokémon's mascot.

To stay on topic, Pikachu dragon would be cool. No it wouldn't be.
