PKFL_531 September 14th, 2010 7:35 PM

~Sophomore~

My classes are divided into 6 different periods. The year, however, is not divided into trimester, but semesters. I don't know what I'll get next semester, yet, but I think my schedule will stay exactly the same.

Per1 Algebra 2 Boring... So far, the only thing keeping me awake is the teacher... Unless he's teaching.
Per2 World History Boring, again. However, the teacher is more livelier and the class is really well-behaved.
Per3 English 10 Boring... The teacher isn't exciting, but the class is very active and normally talks. However, the teacher still has control over the class and it isn't a complete dystopia.
Per4 Magic funtime with elves Biology XL A more ''difficult'' class than normal Biology, but not really difficult at all. The teacher is fun and the class is fun.
Per5 French 2 La prof est très amusante. She beats students with a club if they get a French phrase wrong. The class is just as lively as the previous one.
Per6 P.E. It's the final class of the day, so normally I'm too winded out to do anything. It's also the hottest part of the day, so I'm even more tired... Help ;_;

Favorite class? FRENCH 2. I get to see people get beat up and it's fun. :3

Extracuricculars: So far, I only have Game Club. It's not that fun. Later in the year, I might start a club called the SOS Brigade. (SOS standing for Set fire to Our student Slaves or enSlaving all Other Simple-minded classmates)

NarutoActor September 14th, 2010 7:44 PM

1: Honors Algebra II
2: Honors US. History
3-4:GYM
5-6:Creative Wrighting
7:Lunch
8-9:Honors Physics
10: Advance Wood Shoop III
11: English III (If I could just spell, I could go to honors, :c)

the reason some periods are 2 is because periods 3-9 are half periods designed for lunch
3(early lunch) 4(clean) 5(mid lunch) 6(clean) 7(afternoon lunch) 8(clean) 9(late lunch)

ThatKidMike September 14th, 2010 7:55 PM

Senior. Class of 2011!

1. Teacher Aid
3. Human Anatomy and Physiology
5. College Writing
7. Strength and Conditioning

2. AP Psychology
4. Contemporary Math
6. History/Politics of the Middle East
8. Guitar

Last few years I took tough advanced classes. This year I'm taking classes that I'm generally interested in.

And wtf, you have a Hip Hop club class? I won't even lie, I'm jealous right now.

Kura September 14th, 2010 7:57 PM

:/ Well that's pretty crummy. I wanted to post my schedule and it seems there are RESTRICTIONS to that! What's the big deal? I'm in college!

My last year :3 4th year. This year I have to make my own animated short film. I have only a few classes and two electives but it's still pretty jam-packed with all the work I have to do for the film.

Monday= Lifedrawing
Tuesday= Psychology (elective)
Wednesday= Lecture
Thursday= Science Fiction (elective)
Friday= Mentor Meeting with Maury Whyte

Yup :3

Spinor September 14th, 2010 8:07 PM

I'm a freshman... If you'll believe me anyways.

This is an AB Block schedule (Alternates every day)

A1: Introduction to Engineering Design
A2: Computer Science AP
A3: Biology 1 Pre AP
A4: Research and Technical Writing (First Semester) | Foundations of Personal Fitness (Second Semester)

B1: Chemistry 1 Pre AP
B2: English II Pre AP
B3: World History Pre AP
B4: Pre-Calculus Pre AP

As I said, you don't have to believe me. My schedule is indeed very unique. And the curriculum is designed to be rigorous and inclined to Engineering concepts. I plant to take care of English III, Spanish II, and Geography to make room for more Science and Engineering courses the coming years.

Tyrantrum September 14th, 2010 9:30 PM

I'm a Junior, now. :D

Classes:
1st period - English III
2nd period - Graphic Design III
3rd period - Digital Electronics
4th period - College Algebra

I like Graphic Design III. I promised myself to do better this year... not doing a very good job of it so far. :(

Amaruuk September 14th, 2010 9:41 PM

For a person like me who hated high school, all the bubbly implied worship of it in the first post is kind of sickening :/

Why so adamant about excluding other things like college? High school isn't some super special club in fantasy land; it's school. So is college and middle school and whatever else people here might be attending to get educated. My high school had nothing beyond the absolute bare bones (no fancy maths, no graphic design, no foreign language, no honors classes, no nothin'), so it wouldn't have been postworthy anyway.

Anywho, here's my schedule for next quarter (which starts October 4th). I only recently changed majors, so despite having been in college for 3 years now, I'm taking low-level stuff:

MA131: Writing for Animation

Monday/2pm-4pm
Wednesday/2pm-6pm

MA231: Intro to Animation (2D)

Tuesday/10am-12pm
Thursday/10am-2pm

SC205: Human and Animal Anatomy

Tuesday/2pm-4pm
Thursday/2pm-4pm

@Kura: I can't wait to get on finished short films myself. It sound so exciting! :3

Ninja Caterpie September 14th, 2010 10:38 PM

Uhm yeah what. I've no idea what a freshman/sophomore, that stuff is (because I'm Australian?) and high school is different here, but yeah. My timetable's a bit big, because i have two weeks of 5 days with each day different at 6 periods each, so...i'll just post screenshots from the intranet where I copied it down from.

http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/7537/99063821.png
http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/4975/62022673.png

A and B alternate every week. Format is [Class][Teacher][Classroom].
EN is English
PDHPE is Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
MM is Mathematics
IPT is Information Processes and Technology (boringest subject in history)
COM is Commerce
HIS is History (alternates between semesters; History in one, Geography in the other)
JAP is Japanese
SC is Science

I think that's about it... Oh, and breaks are between Periods 2 and 3 and 4 and 5.

Ho-Oh September 14th, 2010 11:21 PM

Yay for schedule posting!~ I'm in 10th grade by the way,

Period B: Chemistry Honors
Period C: Algebra II Honors
Period M: Advanced Drawing / Advanced Theater / World Music (Switches every day)
Lunch
Period X: Spanish II Honors
Period W: Civics Honors
Period Y: Gym / Health / Study Hall (Switches every day)
Period Z: English II Honors

Yeah... I go to school from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and don't get home until 6 PM, and I get on the bus at 6 AM. Long day, but it's worth it... I guess... Okay, not really... Yay for school! *Sighs*

There's only one afterschool club at my school, the robotics club. I don't think that it has started this year yet... We have no sports teams, no student council, and yeah. Nothing!~ We don't even have school colors or a school mascot! :D

My school this year is okay. It's a magnet school for math and science. It's pretty good because we have like, no people and everyone seems to get along because well, we all like math and science... The arts school next door though, that would be a different story. Those... Peculiar art students... XD And I like gym because we have no gymnasium so we either play outside or in the halls... It's very laid back :3

But yeah... I sure do hope that this year turns out well.

Saltare. September 15th, 2010 9:03 AM

I'm a freshman :D

My classes are as follows...

1-Compuer Applications 1
2-Health/PE
>Homeroom(Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday)
3-Algebra 1(lunch)
4-Civics and Economics Honors

And second semester is...
1-Art 1
2-Career Management
>Homeroom(Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday)
3-Earth and Environmental Science Honors(lunch)
4- English 1

:)

I'm not totally loving high school. But I love having more freedom than in middle school. I've only gotten lost once, fells up the stairs a few times...no big deal.

My favorite class is probably Health(I have PE second 9 weeks). We get to listen to our iPods all the time and it's easy :D

I don't do any sports or clubs...though I'd like to my Sophmore year.

A few things I love about high school is that we have Senior Skip Day for when we're seniors :D Plus, if you're taking a language course and are good in that class, you get to go to Europe.

Shanghai Alice September 15th, 2010 1:57 PM

COSC 1307 is basically a BCIS class.
COSC 1336 is Intro to Programming

POLS 2305 is American Government
COSC 1336 Lab is ...A Lab to my Programming class.
MUEN 4100 is practice for the Musical I'm in, and it actually occurs at various different times that aren't specified on my schedule. I have a separate syllabus with a list of rehearsals ^-^;

I like my classes, pretty much. :D I have someone to talk to in every single class, so, yeah. :)~

BHwolfgang September 16th, 2010 4:09 AM

As of this year, I'm finally a 10th grader! This means that I'm not a cat fish anymore! This school has been alright, with a little bits of bumps on the road. At least I got my friends to make my day. :)
  • Period 1: WH & G II Honors
  • Period 2: Health & PE 10
  • Period 3: English 10
  • Period 4: Art II
  • Period 5: PSC Geometry
  • Lunch
  • Period 6: Spanish II
  • Period 7: Biology I

That's practically my whole day, really. My world history teacher is really strict, but thank goodness that PE wakes me up. English is alright, but I'm already having a lot of work from that class. Hopefully, I can improve greatly from art class. Geometry is a bore to me. Lunch is probably the highlight of my days. It seems that it's the only moment when I can finally relax and get something to eat. Spanish is confusing, and biology is crazy.

After schools I go to the track for cross country. It's basically long-distance running. We would at least run three miles per day.

For this year, I'm participating in a lot of clubs. I'm also going to run for class vice-president and school secretary this year.
  1. Art club
  2. Ecology club
  3. Japanese club
  4. Circle of Friends
  5. Rockclimbing club
  6. Spanish club
  7. F.C.C.L.A
  8. Chess club
  9. World Affairs Forum

Ha ha, yeah, and that's why I haven't been on this forum in a while. XD

WonderGirl September 16th, 2010 5:54 AM

For me it's a rotating schedule where we have 6 periods, then the next day we start with the next letter and so on. We have 6 lessons each day. Each time we have lesson D we have Technology then the next time we have D it's P.E and it goes round and round like that. Kind of confusing, I know.

A= D.T
B= Biology
C= Maths
D1= Technology
D2= P.E
E= French
F= English
G= Humanity
H= MUN

Ayselipera September 16th, 2010 10:51 AM

1. Junior.
2. No I hate school in general.

3.
Math
English
Chemistry
Study
Psychology
History
Spanish

The schedule rotates everyday so I only have six classes a day leaving one out. Then the next day my first class will be the one I didn't have the day before and the class I had last the day before I won't have the next day.

4. My favorite class is Psychology this year. It's really interesting and I'm in it with one of my best friends.

5. Nope.

Skip Class September 16th, 2010 1:40 PM

1. What are you?
We don't have the freshman, sophomore ,junior,senior thing cause I live in New Zealand. I'm in year 11/Form 5 but I think the equivalent is Sophomore

2. are you loving it?
ATM? No I'm sitting mock exams right now - though usually I love school

3. what's your schedule?
This year I'm taking:

Compulsory subjects:
English
Maths
Science - Rotation of Biology, Chemistry and Physics
R.E (Religious Education)
P.E (Physical Education)
PPP (Positive People Psychology or something - It just got introduced this year)

Optional Subjects:
Food Tech - Cause it's easiest to get NCEA (National Certificate of Educational Achievement) Credits with and I get to cook which is an added bonus
Art - Apparently you get a better chance of getting into photography next year if you do Art. But I do love art especially drawing and sketching.
Geography - Well I really don't wanna do any languages and I was a bit sad we didn't have any IT subject this year. And believe me there's no way I'm doing History.
I guess I chose this subject cause you get more field trips in this subject than any other

The order of my subjects is different everyday (can't be stuffed ordering it lolz)

4th. what's your favorite class of THIS trimester!?
What's a trimester? We don't have that but my favorite subject is P.E I love sports so yea...

5th. any after school activities?
Basketball Fridays, Speech and Drama Thursdays. Used to do Cross Country, badminton, soccer and swimming but i'm to busy

vanna. September 16th, 2010 3:57 PM

Binary September 19th, 2010 5:01 AM

An equivalent Junior.\\
I think I like most of my schedules. Long and boring. But I can handle.
We have different schedules for all school days and different uniforms too. So, I think I'll just post tomorrow's schedule, since I need to take a look anyways. XD

Ahem...

→1st period: Physics
→2nd period: Literature
→Break
→3rd period: Optional Mathematics
→4th period: Biology/Chemistry
→Lunch
→5th period: Compulsory Mathematics
→6th period: Social Education
→Break
→7th period: Computer Science/P.E.
→8th period: P.E.

The 7th period P.E. depends on...stuff. XD
My favorite subject is probably P.E. and some Math, though I don't mind any of them.

I haven't taken part in any after school activities, although I might've wanted to take part in Football/Soccer or some other sport. Meh. I've never taken part in anything, so yeah.

Sert908 September 19th, 2010 5:02 AM

1. Honors Physics
2. Foundations Of Art
3. Honors English 9
4. Lunch
5. Gym
6. AP government
7. Honors Algebra II
8. Spanish 2

I'm a freshman

Aegis September 20th, 2010 10:36 AM

I'm a Junior~

Semester 1
1- Advanced Pre-Calculus
2- Chemistry
3- Intensive German
4- Physics
5- AP European History
6- Graphic Design
7- Free Period

Semester 2
1- Advanced Pre-Calculus
2- Chemistry
3- Intensive German
4- Physics
5- AP European History
6- Programming
7- Spirituality in Ethics (Required)

Overall I don't really like school, mainly because there's just so much wasted time. If there wasn't so much standing around doing nothing I might actually like it, haha. My favorite class is probably AP European History, it's been the most interesting so far and the teacher for that class is amazing. My least favorite is Physics, awful teacher and kind of complicated XD

I'm a member of Spanish Club, despite not taking Spanish. All we do is sit in the Spanish room once per week during lunch eating Spanish food and watching Spanish movies lol.

Cold Fusion September 20th, 2010 11:06 AM

I'm not sure about the freshmen and such as we don't have them here, so I'll just post my schedule which I made of Microsoft Excel (not very professional, eh?) as we have five different lesson for period each day, the lessons for each day are beneath them going in a vertical manner.

http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt60/Spirit2895/Random/Untitled.png

I have a lot of double lessons (or even triple), don't I? xp My favourite lesson/s out of the lot has to be Computers, we're making fake magazines! :DD Who can not love that really? But other than that lesson, I hate school so I hate the other lessons. XD

As for after school activities I'm not taking any, I'm a lazy bum, I should but meh, naaah, not for me.

MarstheCar September 22nd, 2010 5:59 PM

My schedule is:
Band
Spanish 1

(5th period) Study Hall (woot)
(6th period) English 10 (I hope we do more literature than grammar this year >_>)
(7th Period) Bible(M/W/F)/Chapel(T/TH) (Christian School because I'm a Christian, and if anyone says anything about that... >_>)
(8th period) Drama(M)/Choir(W/F)/PE(T/TH) (Urgh, I hate PE. It's just...not my thing. I love being active, but all we do is team sprots, which I have no aptitude for =/ Choir is really fun, and Drama is gonna be fun too)

4. Well, my favorite class is Algebra 2. MATH <3
