ALWAYS FIRE!
Torchic and charmander :D |
Mostly Treeko and Charmander, their final forms are cool
For what ever reason I always start with the grass type.
Blue: Bulbasaur Gold: Chikarita Sapphire: Treeko Pearl: (however I didn't have it very long, I just lost interest) Turtwig |
RSE: I started with Treecko!
FRLG: Bulbasaur I chose Bulba because that was my starter in my original blue game, and Treecko because I wanted to be different from my friends who mostly picked Torchic |
Charizard & Blakizen. I've stuck with Fire types for all starters..until Sinnoh/Unova...
I normally pick Squirtle for LG/FR but sometimes I'll pick Charmander. I rarely pick Bulbasaur though. For R/S/E I didn't really like the starters but I usually pick Mudkip/Torchic lol
In Emerald, I chose Treecko, but in accordance, I discarded it to choose another pokemon to act a my 'starter' pokemon.
Let's see
Leaf green = Squirtle Fire Red= Charmander Emerald= Treecko Ruby=Torchic Saphire= Treecko |
Always Mudkip. Always. Swampert is my favorite Pokemon of all time, so you can see why. I don't think I've ever picked Torchic or Treecko.
As for FR/LG, I usually pick Charmander. I think I picked Squirtle once, though. |
In My Let's Play i Choose Mudkip since everyone ( or is it just me ) likes Mudkip :D
But I usually Choose Torchick |
The first time I played FireRed, I chose Charmander, well, because he was the only starter I ever chose back in the old games. I never choose, NEVER, Bulbasaur; I dislike grass Pokemon. The second time, which was in LeafGreen, I chose Squirtle.
As for the RSE versions, I tend to mix them up; although I dislike grass Pokemon, however, Treeko is too cool to miss out. |
FRLG (and the originals): I like to play with all three of the starters, but i mostly pick Charmander
RSE: Treecko or Mudkip. I don't know why, but i've never chosen Torchic |
Torchic on my Sapphire, and Charmander on my LeafGreen, though I've played the other versions since then.
Treecko on my Ruby (but I have not finished it at that time. forze up before I got to Wallace) and Bulbasaur in LG.
Bulbasaur and torchic. I've always had a place in my heart for bulbasaur since my dad gave me a bulba plushie when I was younger. And I just thought torchic looked cute.
Most of the times I picked Charmander and Torchic. Blaziken is one of the good Fire Pokémon in RSE, and he's got good attacks (Blaze Kick & Sky Uppercut) that give him an advantage over a quite some types. : >
But, now and then I pick Mudkip or Squirtle. |3 I love those two as well, but Fire Pokémon have a special place in my heart. <3 |
Torchic and Bulbasaur. I played both games with all three starters, but for me those were the best. :) Also i love their look.
i choose mudkip and squirtle i like water types the best.
For R/S/E, I used to choose Torchic. Now I'm leaning more towards Treecko, because I got rather sick of using Blaziken XD
For FR/LG I chose either Charmander or Bulbasaur, since it's sometimes hard to choose between them. |
In my Ruby Nuzlocke Challenge I'm doing right now I'm using Mudkip. I've used all three before though.
for fire red i choose bulbasaur, for ruby the first time i played choosed treecko but didnt liked, so i choosed torchic because i dont like water starters (except for squirtle), but after a while a store blaziken in pc
I selected Squirtle for Fire Red and Mudkip for Sapphire. I always choose the Water starter.
Water type starters ftw! :P In Sapphire and Firered I chose Mudkip and Squirtle as my starting Pokemon respectively. As I've mentioned in the other "which starter Pokemon did you chose?" threads, I always choose the Water type starter for my first and main game because they entice me the most.
Torchic and Charmander - as most people have said. :)
Since playing first time round I'm always swapping whenever I replay them but my main favourites still remain at Squirtle & Torchic.
mine was mudkip and chramander
torchic, as blaziken irl and the game would kick swampert and sceptile buts. And squirtle, cause blastoise is a a bigg turtle with giant cannons on his back!
Bulbasaur was the first choice, since I love grass Pokemon. This was in LG. In FR, I obviously chose Charmander; well, because I wanted to try something different.
Oh goodness, well, I know I got LeafGreen and chose Bulbasaur (since I chose Charmander the first time in Red/Blue, I wanted to switch it up). I can't remember if I chose Torchic or Mudkip in my Sapphire version. I know I didn't get it until a while after it came out, and because of that I know I was impressionable because I didn't get it until after the anime started airing. I think, since I liked Torchic in the anime, I chose Torchic for my first run-through. Then I chose Mudkip because I liked it better in my second and all consecutive playthroughs.
I chose Charmander in FireRed and Torchic in Emerald because I really like Fire-type Pokémon and they're over powered from early game to late game. They have advantages in gyms compared to Grass- and Water-type Pokémon so completing game is little faster. Before Torchic I chose Treeco and Mudkip in previous saves but then realized how good Blaziken can be with it's burning attacks.
Mostly Squirtle and Mudkip.
I love Water types :3. |
I choose Squirtle and Treecko, though Mudkips not bad either.
So I heard you like Mudkips...
Charmander and Torchic! Fire and dragon types are my favorite and since there is no dragon starter I chose the fire type. I love fire types!
Fire type
And sometimes Mudkip |
Mudkip on Sapphire, Torchic on Ruby, Treecko on Emerald, Charmander/Bulbasaur on Fire Red, and Squirtle on Leaf Green lol.
I flip flop between Mudkip and Torchic, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. I like more of the bulkier Pokemon than anything. I like Charmander and Treecko, I'd just rather the other four.
In all my Hoenn games (my Ruby and my brother's Sapphire and Emerald) I chose Mudkip cos it's the easiest to use throughout the game plus I love Water-types.
Mudkip and Squirtle gotta love water types.
I choose Torchic and Squirtle
I chose water type starters in all of my games. They have a great endurance while maintaining a good offense.
Mudkip and Squirtle were awesome. In my other playthroughs I chose Charmander in LG.
oddly enough i started with pokemon ruby and then worked my way down to red/blue w/e, my first pick was a treecko! I don't know how i got so far with him but he was about level 61 around the 7th gym :3 OP like a boss
For LG my choice was Bulbasaur. I only ever got round to playing through that game once but my Bulby was with me the whole time! Such a reliable Pokemon, especially based on the Kanto gyms :3 In Hoenn my first ever starter was Torchic whom was adorable and then evolved and became kinda gross so I was very disappointed. In my latest run through I used Treecko which has surpassed all expectations and looks amazing in all stages! Grass types ftw o/
Treecko and Squirtle :3 Gotta luv em!
in LG i chose Charmander
In HG/SS i chose Cyndaquil In Ruby i chose Mudkip and Treecko In Diamond and Pearl i chose Chimchar and In Black i chose Oshawott. |
I always choose fire, except in Gen II where I sometimes choose water.
The best starters for me are:
FireRed-Leaf Green=Squirtle,Bulbasaur Crystal-Gold-Silver=Cyndiquil Ruby-Saphirre=Torchic In some of them i cant even chose which is better so i put two :D I agree with Sirius who doesnt like Blaziken |
I played through with all 3 but the first one I chose was Torchick and to this day Blaziken is till one of my all time favorite pokemon because of that. I mean, it's a giant, fire breathing, kick-boxing chicken. What's not to love?
Treecko for RSE and I have yet to play FRLG.
Treecko (Cappy) in Ruby and Mudkip (Manny) in Emerald.
I also chose Torchic (Sapphire) and Charmander (FireRed), as they were my favourites. :3
I love all starters but I thought Mudkip looked best in Ruby so went with him.
For Fire Red, there were three of us doing a competion. So naturaly I we went for the three diffrent starters and I got Squrtle. Leaf Green I got Bulbasaur but traded Squrtle and Charmander over pretty quickly. |
I had a strong pull to Treecko, more so than from any starter in any other generation. But in my first play through, I let my brain make the decision and picked the competitive battle useful Mudkip. Water ground was hard to pass up.
On my second play through I did use Treecko and I was supremely happy. |
I didn't really care for any of them, if I recall, but I usually used Torchic or Treeko. I never understood the likability of Mudkip.
FR: Charmander/Squirtle, I dont like Bulbasaur.
R/S/E: Torchic - 70% of the time, Mudkip and Treeko- 15% of the time for each. |
Gen1: Bulbasaur
Gen2: Totodile Gen3: Treecko Gen4: Piplup Gen5: Snivy |
I Bulbasaur (Was convinced that it was hard to catch in the wild >_<)
II Cyndaquil (My pyro side was overactive at this time) III Mudkip (My first, I thought it looked cool) IV Turtwig (I thought the other two looked silly V Tepig (I don't have it yet TBH, but I noticed I had a pattern, grass, fire, water, grass....lets keep it!) |
The first few times I played FireRed I chose Charmander, cos you know, they look cool. The first time I played through it as an experienced Pokemon player I chose Bulbasaur. In R/S/E I chose Mudkip, because I leik him.
I always seemed to choose a grass starter, so on Sapphire, Treecko was the one I chose. On Ruby, I chose Mudkip.
We're talking first ever playthrough, right?
Then on Ruby version I chose Mudkip...Hell, I still remember my party. I remember, because my older brother had Sapphire and he chose Treecko. LOL And on Fire Red version I chose Charmander...I kinda found that game...Bleh, compared to Ruby and Sapphire...Is that strange? |
For Sapphire and Emerald I've always picked Treecko. I just think he's a really cool starter. For Firered I picked Bulbasaur and Leafgreen I once picked Charmander and the rest of the times I picked Bulbasaur then I lost the cartridge. :/
Just Treecko... he seemed pretty chill.... and for FR/LG I went back to CHarmander... because that is how I roll
I only did one playthrough with Ruby and I picked Mudkip. Mine was female too.
I've used all three starters, but the one I like most is Mudkip.
On my first playthrough of Ruby I picked Torchic, thought it looked the coolest (at the time).
First playthrough on LeafGreen I decided to go for Squirtle, like my first playthrough of Blue, for nostalgias sake. Most of the time I still pick Squirtle :P |
RSE: Mudkip
FRLG: Charmander |
i did charmander for fire red i theen trained it to level 90 and thrashed the elite four with just 1 pokemon
On Sapphire, I chose Mudkip because I thought it looked cool and it's still my favorite. I think in Emerald, I chose Treecko. I don't remember who I chose for Ruby. For Leafgreen, I think I chose Bulbasaur. Same with FireRed.
In the very first time I recall playing Emerald, back in 2005, I picked a Treecko hoping it would evolve into something it didn't. I remember I had it as a Sceptile at level 65 before the seventh gym, and back then I had no idea about rematches or grinding.
In my Diamond profile way back in 2007, I picked Turtwig because I saw Torterra in a Pokémon magazine. In my first Platinum profile in 2009 I picked Chimchar, but after those profiles I always seemed to pick Piplup because of Empoleon's dual Water/Steel type combo. In Black version I picked Snivy because I really disliked Tepig and didn't really care for Oshawott. Plus, Serperior is just epic, isn't it? |
Oh boy, let me see... I had a copy of all of the games in Gen III so this might be difficult to recall.
Sapphire - A nameless male Torchic Ruby - A Torchic whose name I can't recall Emerald - A male Treecko named Link Second copy of Emerald - An unnamed, male Mudkip Leaf Green - A female Squirtle whose name I can't remember Fire Red - A female Charmander whose name I can't remember I feel kind of guilty about not remembering half the names. It's been a while. |
Mudkip and Charmander, no nicknames.
1st Run:Bulbasaur(I used to choose grass types)
2nd Run:Charmander(Now i choose fire) |
In my Fire Red, I chose Bublasaur. I wanted a duel-type, so it was Bulbasuar or Charmander(later becomes Charizard). But, so I cou8ld get some Poison stuff earlier, I chose Bulbasuar :)
I chose Cyndaquil, Charmander, and Torchic in SS, and I chose Oshawott in Black and White.
Torchic and Bulbasaur. Love 'em both.
I chose Treecko in Sapphire and Charmander in Fire Red.
I differed. I was always a fan of Charizard so I chose him. However, once I saw the Pokédex sprite for Blastoise in blue (I played red), I changed my mind a little.
Charmander as I loved Charizard
Bulbasaur in FR/LG
Mudkip in R/S/E |
Whenever I replay RSE I always struggle because I love the three hoenn starters, there is usually one I'm not too keen on but they're all fab!
I always chose Torchic in R/S/E because it's cute... =3 I chose Charmander the first time in Fire Red but the second time, it's Bulbasaur.
Mudkip and Squirtle. I've always been fond of the Water types.
I believe it was Charmander in FireRed and it was Mudkip in Emerald
Let's see...
In sapphire, I first started with mudkip, then treecko, and tried torchic, but never fully evolved it since blaziken is just weird looking to me.. In firered, I started with bulbasaur and then charmander. Still haven't used squirtle :\ |
Treeko and Charmander. Treeko because I was a newb at the GBA back then and started clicking randomly whenever I saw a screen that appeared like it could be a cut screen, and then in Fire Red, I picked Charmander....Mainly because when I was little, I had an obession over Charizard(13 and I still sorta do....XD)
I randomly picked Charmander in FR/LG. For Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, I went with Treecko mainly because he looked cooler and better than Mudkip and Torchic. It occured to me that not only was his looks more superior than the other two starters but his overall stats were spot on. Then Sceptile came along and although he looks like an overgrown frog, he still was the best.
I got Sapphire when I was six and I chose Mudkip and I leveled him up all the way to 100 baby. In LG, chose Squirtle, though now I choose Charmander cause I love Charizard.
Emerald I normally choose Treecko
Fire Red / Leaf Green I normally choose Bulbasaur |
Hmm, let's see... My first time around Ruby, which was my first Pokémon game, I chose Mudkip. It still remains one of my favorite Pokémon to date. In Leaf Green, I chose Squirtle. Aha, I really favor the Water starters.
Torchic and Charmander...Fire type rocks!
Treeko and Charmander>:) they are my favorite starters
Torchic and Bulbasaur because imo they're the best starters.
Kanto: Bulbasaur
Hoenn: Mudkip (Unrelated: Johto: Chikorita (I was a noob in it..) Sinnoh: Treeko Unova: Tepig) |
Um I chose Torchic and Charmander, always love these pokemones ♥ but I never was hard the first gimnasios (help, I don´t know how to say in English x,x) , as if trained well, there was much trouble with them.
One my first run of FRLG I chose Bulbasaur and on my first of RSE I chose Mudkip. c:
In Emerald Version, I chose Torchic, and it's already a Blaziken. C: (Up to the part with Winona.)
In Emerald: a Treecko, on Christmas eve ~ therefore she's nicknamed Eve!
Mudkip and Squirtle i love water types :D
Mudkip in Ruby, though I have a slight suspicion that I may have chosen Torchic. I honestly can't remember.
And I've yet to play either FireRed or LeafGreen (I should get to that...), but I would have chosen Bulbasaur since I've never used one before. |
