First time playing R/S/E, I chose Torchic! :D
Though in my most recent restart I chose Treeko! And in FR I chose Charmander (I love fire!) and in LF Bulbasaur, 'cause, y'know, it is LEAF GREEN after all. XD Poor water types barely never get chosen with me, although I do make sure to go through the games with them atleast once. :D Just to be nice. |
First time in Emerald: Swampert!
Recent Starter in restart of Emerald: Blaziken! (Currently Combusken) Leaf Green Starter (1st Go): Venusaur! Recent Reboot Starter: Charizard! (Currently Charmander) |
I don't favor any specific Pokemon cuz I used all starters and found out that Chikorita is very underrated, Charmander is overrated and Treeko is underrated.
|
First time I played Ruby I started with Treeko. I was thinking back to when I first got Blue version, and I started with Bulbasaur so my 13 year old self thought it would be cool to start with the grass starter again.
|
First run I did of RSE, I picked Treecko simply because it looked the coolest to me. After that though, I almost always picked either Mudkip or Torchic over Treecko because I had a tricky time getting through the game with the grass type.
FR/LG, it was usually Charmander, as I used to do in RBG. Sometimes Bulbasaur, and only once or twice with Squirtle. |
In Kanto i always picked Bulbasaur because it was a great asset for the first few gyms and by the time i got to the others I wold always have a full team
In Hoen i was always was split between mudkip and torchic because both have great moves once fully evolved I loved Swampert's Muddy Water and Earthquake and Blazakin's Blaze Kick In Johto I picked Cyndaquil for no specific reason other than looks In Sinnoh i picked Turtwig usually because it helped with alot of gyms aand i liked its final form As for whatever black and white's region is the answer is I never played it because I really disliked the new pokemon looks |
Torchic and Charmander
Dat fire |
Though I have some vague memory of owning a Combusken early in the game, before I really understood what to do.. I think I restarted o.o, so, officially, I chose Treeko first (I still have him on Sapphire C:) and Charmander. I've never really used anything other than a Charmander in the FRLG games.
|
The first time I played Sapphire, I chose Mudkip, I'm not exactly sure why, but I did. Ever since then I've always chosen the water starter for every game. (Except SoulSilver, I chose Cyndaquil)
|
Always Torchic. Tried playing with Trecko and Mudkip, but I didn't like them.
|
I usually always pick fire, so Torchic for me. I haven't had the opportunity to play FireRed yet, but I'd definitely pick Charmander.
Reason is, I haven't been able to play my GBA games for a long time till just recently. I have both Ruby and Sapphire now, but stores don't like carrying old GBA games anymore, so it's going to be a little tough finding myself FireRed. I would paint an entire building for it though. |
Mudkip and Charmander are my definite choices! I like double types in a starter's evolution line.
|
i chose charmander and treecko they were my favs. Then i tried bulbasaur and mudkip they turned out real nice. so i ended up trying all three starters in all three games and they all went nice with me , I always thuoght of a team for all.
but of course charmander and treecko will always be my favorites :) Posted from Pokecommunity.com App for Android |
Fire types always.
Though... I like Feraligatr and Sceptile a lot, so sometimes I pick these instead of Typhlosion and Blaziken. |
I picked Torchic. I usually go for fire or water types.
|
In FireRed I choose Charmander since It's my favorite Pokemon back then.... :)
In Ruby I chose Treecko, Damn he really looks cool in the Anime! :) And in Emerald I chose Mudkip so I can easily beat the Gyms.... :) |
Treecko is way too overrated by you guys :\ I chose it once, and it was really baaad... I'd always choose Torchic in Gen III.
In Gen I, I'd either choose Squirtle or Charmander. Bulbasaur is great, too, but I don't really like it that much, so yeah... |
Mudkip, and than on my 2nd play through of sapphire I chose Treeko. On Firered I chose Squirtle, he is now a level 100 blastoise, and Ive had him since childhood, transferring him across every new pokemon game that comes out. His name is Sqwert, since I could not spell that well when I got the game around the age of six or seven. On my leaf green I chose charmander.
|
ruby mudkip and firered charmander may those 2 now rip
|
If I remember correctly (the first time I played Sapphire and LeafGreen were nine and eight years ago, respectively), I chose Torchic and Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur was probably the best starter in FR/LG for me since it blitzed through the first two gyms. I chose Torchic because it was cute. XD
|
i picked mudkip and squirtle. i love the water types in all pokemon games.
|
Torchic & Charmander <3....
|
I chose Torchic during my first run of Ruby. And when I got my hands on Leaf Green, I chose Squirtle ^_^
|
Torchic and Squirtle, respectively. Normally, I'm a fire type mogul, but Firered (ironically) was my first ever Pokemon game, and I always though Blastoise was a badass. So I picked the turtle over the salamander. =P
|
I'm a sucker for Fire types, so naturally, when I started Emerald, Cyndaquil was my selection. Doesn't help me much in the water, but there seems to be an abundance of Grass types to deal with them and few Fire types by comparison, so I cover that base immediately.
This means I will likely choose Charmander in Fire Red. However, as I now want to push a Shiny Nincada to Generation V as soon as possible, I have to try to complete at least SoulSilver and Emerald right now, and I'm hoping to get it cloned at that point. I can hope. :) Cyclone |
