Which status do you hate the most?
Status like paralysed, poisoned and burned can be really annoying sometimes. Which status do you hate the most?
Paralyzed as i hate not knowing if i can attack that turn.
Poison's something i love infecting opponents with though lol. |
I'm not sure if Confusion counts in this context, but if it does then that would be my least favourite. In fact I didn't know until I was playing Platinum that it could be cured with a Full Heal. I guess I always assumed that it didn't work, since Full Heal didn't cure Confusion in the original Red version. ^^'
Quote:
There was Antidote, Parlyz Heal, Burn Heal, etc. But there wasn't any "Confusion Heal", so that's why I assumed that Full Heal doesn't work. Onto the topic, yes, I agree that confusion is the most annoying status ailment and although its 30% chance, it seems to happen most of the time. .__. |
Quote:
Anyway, as for my least favorite statuses: Poison (expecially Toxic poison), paralysis (I hate it when I can't do anything twice in a row) and sleep (it's the most annoying when it lasts the full 4 turns). |
Quote:
Probably confusion or parlysis. Both of them get on my nerves escpecially when I'm in a hurry.
Man do i hate it when my Pokemon is Paralyzed. I remember in RSE everytime you hit that Mantrick thingie (The Pokemon Watson used) Your Pokemon gets paralyzed.
sleep, its ANNOYING!!!
but the combo I love is Parylised+confused+infactuated = its a 1/8 chance that the opponent will attack, let alone hit |
Paralysis.
I hate not knowing if I am going to attack and I hate that sound it makes. >:{ |
Confusion.
I have no idea why it hasn't been made into a fully fledged stat condition - it's way more iritating that paralysis imo. |
Paralysis, I hate it so [email protected][email protected]!
I can't stand paralysis. That has got to be the worst status ever. It makes you the slowest Pokemon on the field so you always hit last, and then you still have the chance of not being able to move.
Paralysis. Especially since many of my team members are speed-based and having their speed reduced really puts a huge dent in my strategy. And that's even without the whole "you may or may not be able to do a thing" part of paralysis.
Confusion comes a close second. Hurting yourself is not cool. |
yea parilysis and being put to sleep really suck.....but to me the worst has to be being frozen....just cuz it rarely happens and its kinda like an insult to my Dragonite just when hes about to sweep the whole team to get frozen....but theres been situations where he thawd out rite away and unleashed hell
At the moment...Sleep. The amount of pokemon in HeartGold/SoulSilver that learn it, and suddenly gain 95%+ accuracy, particularly in-game, is extremely frustrating.
However, it usually becomes burn. I tend to favour countering fire with ground/rock, not water, so when I get hit by burn on the switch.... |
Do not want poison. I'll use it against you, but having a taste of my own medicine sure ain't fun.
Confusion, it's almost like being paralyzed, except it does damage too (And doesn't lower speed, at least).
I hate being poisoned, because it's outside of battle, too. I hate confusion because it's a hit or miss.
But the one I hate the MOST is by far, infactuation. It's hard to cure and it's annoying. |
Confusion and Parylsis. When combined, i almost give up because its so difficult.

Infatuation sucks ass. It's probably my least favorite.
Parafusion. >:C
I get paralyzed and confused in the battles more than I get put to sleep, burned, or iced over. I'm sometimes okay with paralysis because I do pretty well with it, and confusion isn't too bad either, but argh when the opponent makes me have BOTH status ailments I just want to throw my DS at the wall.. Yay fur full heals though. :3 They've saved many a DS phats. |
Poison. I'd rather my Pokemon sleep then poisoned :/
Infatuation is a never-ending confusion.
Paralysis. It completely ruins my strategy, and it's usually paired with confusion, which means I have a 25% chance to attack. Then you add Attract and a few opposing Double Teams to that...
Confusion is horrible!
Paralysis is a close second. |
Infatuation, does that count? I see this as the most annoying status effect on a Pokémon, because I can never seem to get an attack in after having one of my Pokémon fall in love. >_>;
If not, then having my Pokémon paralyzed would be my most hated. For some reason I just have terrible luck with it. It has a 30% chance of happening, yet it seems to occur more than it should. :\ While, when I have my opponent paralyzed, it only occurs to them every once in awhile. On top of it all, it slows down your speed, and in most cases, that isn't a good thing; especially if you like to have the first move. |
Burn! Poison I can live with unless it's toxic. Burn decreses your att and def by 10%.. Frozen is another really bad one.
Insert random filler here.
I can't imagine having Infatuation, Wrap, Confused, and Parylzed at the same time. That would be a pain.
Poison. I always hated it. Because I never pack Antidotes/Full Heals. It seemed like I was always haxed. All the attacks that I had a chance to Poison my Pokemon, my Pokemon would be Poisoned every time. -_-
I would have to say confusion. I seem to hurt myself with that way more often than i should. You would think it wouldnt be that big of a deal seeing as you just need to switch out to get rid of it, but despite that it manages to be a huge pain.
Confusion. Weirdly enough, whenever I get confused, it always hits me back until I faint , so I have to switch my Pokémon during battle, since it ALWAYS takes time for my confused one to snap out of it. Paralysis is close at second.
I hate Paralysis. It's the worst possible condition to have. I hate how it cuts speed in half. Combine it with Confusion to raise your chances of attacking yourself. I hate you, Paralysis.
I hate confusion the most, because it's always, "-Random Pokemon- hurt it self in its confusion!" It makes me feel like throwing my DS out the window. >.<
Confusion+Poison+Important Battle=DIE!
1. Sleep
2. Confusion 3. Paralysis ANNOYING!! ">.< |
The most annoying status condition is definitely confusion, closely followed by attraction. Confusion is worse because you have the chance of hitting yourself and it's more common, but both are incredibly irritating in battles.
Paralysis. Why paralysis by itself is, while really annoying, not that bad, it always leads to annoying combos like Parafusion, Paraflinch and whatnot. And these are the worst things that can happen to you in Pokemon. Sure, you can make such combos with every status, but they just seem to work best this way.
Confusion annoys the hell outa me. It's so iffy, and my 'mons tend to get the worse 50%. |
DEFINITELY Paralysis. My Torterra's speed doesn't need to be worse.... Besides, it's hard to have strategy when every turn depends on luck. And there's no way to heal it if you don't have Aromatherapy or something in competitive battling...
Freeze is my least favorite. It's just... ugggh. There's no move that automatically inflicts it, and it's pretty unreliable. So I can't actually make use of it myself like I can all the other status effects. On the rare occasion I do see a Pokemon frozen solid, it's usually my own, and in the worst situation ever. Like I'll be on PBR's random wifi or something and be on my last Pokemon when suddenly I end up frozen thanks to a lucky Ice Beam. And lose simply because I was incapable of doing anything whatsoever for eight turns. I just always feel so cheated when that happens. There's nothing you can do most of the time but sit there and watch your Pokemon faint. xD;
As for the rest of them, I actually like them more than I dislike them. I use them in my teams all the time. Particularly Paralyzis, more for the speed-reduction side effect than for the chance of not attacking. I don't use many super-fast Pokemon, so it's nice to take advantage of that. |
Sleep. My Pokemons seem to always be caught in this condition. Once they fall asleep, it lasts for around four turns. Four turns is a long time, and they usually are in critical condition or had already fainted one turn ago.
There is also Freeze, but it's rare to get a Pokemon frozen solid. In my whole lifetime, I've only seen three Pokemons getting frozen. They were all my Pokemons, and it sucked each time. |
For me its a tie between sleep and paralyze! they're both a pain in the butt
I hate Confusion the most. My pokemon always hurts itself then dies >.<
I've only ever been frozen once...unknowingly, I'd saved myself by selecting Flame Wheel that turn anyway xD...so that doesn't irritate me.
Like Hiiro said, paralysis and infatuation are the worst. I have horrendous luck with infatuaution, except against Whitney....paralysis is really bad. I seem to have a 70% chance of being paralysed, and also, my strategies always involve either moving first, because otherwise I get OHKO'd, or being slow, bulky, and hitting hard, in which case paralysis lets them whittle down my health. Poison and Burn I can live with, as everywhere outside Johto I favour special attacks (especially Gen III, where I use dragon, grass, water, electric and ice a lot more), and overall I always favour steel-types. I also seem to have good luck with confusion, so that doesn't bother me much. |
Love and Freeze. GOD these are so annoying. |
Confusion. DEEEERP Where's the enemy?? I am so confused, I don't know anymore! MAYBE I'M THE ENEMY???
Sleep is better, because you can always use a flute. |
Quote:
Paralysis, confusion, and infatuation are the top two for me. Theoretically, once you've been paralyzed (which is permanent without a remedy readily available, unlike Sleep, which wears off easier via time or Poke Flute; and Freeze, which wears off with time/Fire-moves, etc.), the [Pokemon] is unable to move!" event can occur each turn, rendering your Pokemon virtually useless as the foe slowly chips away freely at its HP. :cer_pissed: Confusion is annoying as well, partially due to the quoted reason, and also because you can be pretty screwed over if you managed to buff your Attack but still have crappy Defense (as the damage is based off of those two stats of the Pokemon in question). :( Infatuation can be annoying on your Pokemon during battle if it afflicts you because it's basically confusion without the damage (that, and it repeatedly makes me wonder/question if my Pokemon truly "adores" me like that lady in Verdanturf Town always claims when it becomes paralyzed/refuses my orders just because of an opposite-gendered Pokemon... :\) |
sleep and paralysis, they're making the battle annoying and longer which pisses me off. ;;<
Poisoned. Really, I'm fine with being asleep and paralysed, but I hate how toxic drains your HP and uuugh. Though confusion is annoying, usually my Pokemon aren't that confused and the stronger ones get out of confusion easier for some reason.
badly poisoned has got to be the worst, I know i curse at things like swagger & thunder wave but at least im not losing an incremental ammount of health every turn! lol
Infatuation and Frozen!
God I hato those two! With infatuation you never know when it's gonna attack, and when it's frozen, you never knoe when it's gonna defrost!!! O.o |
this is a good point! thats why I try and use as many genderless monsters as possible! with freeze......yea thats just damn cold :)
Poison. It just doesn't go away with out a heal, and it always just.... there >.>
Poisoned, I become overly excited whenever I survive a poison sting. :u
My least favourite are confusion and being poisoned. I hate having to use an item to make confusion go away when it cures itself after a while, and I don't like poison because it constantly makes you lose HP, even after battle.
Mine would have to be Infatuation.
I like most of my Pokemon to be Male, so it can cause serious problems for me. |
Definitely, Paralysis and confusion.
Definitely being burned as the attack decreases.
Infatuation!!!
despite being easy to fix, I hate the forced switch out. Especially when paired with paralysis. |
I mostly dislike paralysis because of the fact that you never know whether the attack succeeds or fails.
Poisoned, by far. Hit-or-miss statuses don't bother me that much 'cause at least you stay safe, but with poison it's just plain annoying to have your Pokemon's HP hit zero JUST as you walk up to the counter in the Pokemon Center. Plus, I'm not one to buy Antidotes 'cause I'm a money hoarder.
Ugh, definitely Paralysis and Confusion. ><
I just pisses me off sooo much whenever I hear "-insert Pokemon name here- hurt itself in its own confusion!" I mean, seriously? Why the HELL would you hurt yourself because you're confused? That doesn't even make sense! XD And Paralysis....uuuughhh. I get so nervous whenever my turn comes to move since I don't even know if my Pokemon will move or not. :< And I hate that little noise that comes up whenever you don't move. 3:< |
that's an easy one poison in the earlier games, but now it's sleep.
Paralysis and Infatuation are my most annoying.
Confuse, It ain't really a Status but you can't cure it.
I hate sleep, seriously it's so annoying lol.
Also confusion can be annoying too. |
infatuation is the most annoying to me. poison would be next because of the stupid effect and sound it makes while walking around
Confusion is horrible. Paralysis is pretty bad too. |
Ugh it's Poison for sure. Why? Sleep and paralyze don't harm your Pokemon, and burn doesn't harm your Pokemon OUTSIDE of battle. And Poison does Dx
Also confusion is also annoying, but if you switch it then switch it back it's gone. (= |
Confusion because it seems like its 90% chance for me :/
Confusion. Or paralysis. Hmm. |
Confusion! I hate it so much. My pokemon always love to hit themselves >.>
I would have to say Toxic. Regular poison is already bad enough, but it gets even worse when the effect multiplies. My dishonorable mention after this would be Parafusion, or paralysis combined with confusion. Get that one on your last pokemon and you are effectively screwed because you will be slowed down and prevented from attacking in the most annoying way possible.
"Quilava is immobilized by love. ROFLcopter."
I hate being immobilized by love, confused, and Poisoned is rather annoying as well. I think the worst is being immobilized because my Quilava has a crush on Whitney's Miltank and can't move. So being immobilized wins. |
confusion. its a pain in the but
lol mine would have to be attraction beacuse the pokemon that have it r almost always female(at least in my experience) and 50% is kind of a big percentile. After that it would be Burn, since it is just a harmful a regular poison and it reduces Attack by 1/3 if im not mistaken, correct me if im wrong, and my favorite pokemon all have usually have VERY high Attacking stats
POISON. I hate that status condition so much. I've had a lot of bad experiences with Pokes that use Toxic and ones with Poison Point. Ugh. Thank god they took away the thing where every 5 steps outside of battle your Pokemon would lose HP if they were poisoned in Gen. V.
Paralysis is a pain, especially when mixed in with confusion. Makes it almost impossible for my Pokemon to use a move.
I HATE Poison, with a freaking passion. Burns don't prevent attacking, and don't do all that much damage. I mean there's no "[insert Pokemon name] was badly burned", at least I don't think there is? Maybe I'm just lucky, but I can almost always attack when my Pokemon are Paralyzed, it stops me from attacking so little that I don't even consider it an annoyance. Confusion is pretty annoying because it prevents attacks from connecting and makes my Pokemon take damage, but it doesn't happen enough for me to hate it. Poison though, its different. You can still attack while poisoned, so there's that hope that you can still win the battle despite the fact that your Pokemon are loosing HP. There's Toxic Poison too, which gives you that same hope, then takes it away because your Pokemon start loosing lots of HP. Finally, Poison just seems so messed up. I mean it sounds worse then "[insert Pokemon name] was Burned/Confused" and the screen does that little flicker thing, which is like the game basically saying "hurry, hurry! You're Pokemon will faint soon, hurry!"
I hate badly poisoned like hell. It annoys the heck out of me..
Confusion, mostly.
For statuses that last after the battle, though, I would have to say Paralysis. It really annoys me when my Pokemon is a full HP, but Paralyzed. >:( |
I hate frozen. With sleep you can use Sleep Talk, & with burn, Poison you can use a berry or item.
Confusion, I hate gambling with my Pokémon's HP and switching it out and losing a turn is a pain.
Paralysis. It's common and your Pokemon can't recover from it by itself. Confusion annoys me as well, but that only lasts for a few turns.
Sleep and Confusion are my enemies ! >:C
I really hate it when my pokemon is asleep or if it hits itself in its confusion. This is mostly because I never think about buying some remedies for the statu (Sleep), I should do though, I will. And as the time your pokemon's confused depends of the pokemon itself, I always prefer to wait for it to feel better... |
Confusion... but infatuation gets on my nerves as well. v.v
Ever since I battled Whitney, infatuation infuriates me. My team on Soul Silver is male, save for my Bellsprout. -_-
Confusion also irks me. I say its the most damaging, or at least it can be. Poison gets to me...I hate seeing the pokemon on my team being poisoned, I can't stand to see them suffer like that. :( Any status problem for that matter. I spend a good amount of $ on Full Heals for that reason. |
I hate poison because it keeps lowering my life the longer it goes. Poison and infatuation seem to be my biggest weaknesses... Or being frozen. My Pokemon always tend to have a way to not get defeated by confusion.
