Paralysis. It completely ruins my strategy, and it's usually paired with confusion, which means I have a 25% chance to attack. Then you add Attract and a few opposing Double Teams to that...
Confusion is horrible!
Paralysis is a close second. |
Infatuation, does that count? I see this as the most annoying status effect on a Pokémon, because I can never seem to get an attack in after having one of my Pokémon fall in love. >_>;
If not, then having my Pokémon paralyzed would be my most hated. For some reason I just have terrible luck with it. It has a 30% chance of happening, yet it seems to occur more than it should. :\ While, when I have my opponent paralyzed, it only occurs to them every once in awhile. On top of it all, it slows down your speed, and in most cases, that isn't a good thing; especially if you like to have the first move. |
Burn! Poison I can live with unless it's toxic. Burn decreses your att and def by 10%.. Frozen is another really bad one.
Insert random filler here.
I can't imagine having Infatuation, Wrap, Confused, and Parylzed at the same time. That would be a pain.
Poison. I always hated it. Because I never pack Antidotes/Full Heals. It seemed like I was always haxed. All the attacks that I had a chance to Poison my Pokemon, my Pokemon would be Poisoned every time. -_-
I would have to say confusion. I seem to hurt myself with that way more often than i should. You would think it wouldnt be that big of a deal seeing as you just need to switch out to get rid of it, but despite that it manages to be a huge pain.
Confusion. Weirdly enough, whenever I get confused, it always hits me back until I faint , so I have to switch my Pokémon during battle, since it ALWAYS takes time for my confused one to snap out of it. Paralysis is close at second.
I hate Paralysis. It's the worst possible condition to have. I hate how it cuts speed in half. Combine it with Confusion to raise your chances of attacking yourself. I hate you, Paralysis.
I hate confusion the most, because it's always, "-Random Pokemon- hurt it self in its confusion!" It makes me feel like throwing my DS out the window. >.<
Confusion+Poison+Important Battle=DIE!
1. Sleep
2. Confusion 3. Paralysis ANNOYING!! ">.< |
The most annoying status condition is definitely confusion, closely followed by attraction. Confusion is worse because you have the chance of hitting yourself and it's more common, but both are incredibly irritating in battles.
Paralysis. Why paralysis by itself is, while really annoying, not that bad, it always leads to annoying combos like Parafusion, Paraflinch and whatnot. And these are the worst things that can happen to you in Pokemon. Sure, you can make such combos with every status, but they just seem to work best this way.
Confusion annoys the hell outa me. It's so iffy, and my 'mons tend to get the worse 50%. |
DEFINITELY Paralysis. My Torterra's speed doesn't need to be worse.... Besides, it's hard to have strategy when every turn depends on luck. And there's no way to heal it if you don't have Aromatherapy or something in competitive battling...

Freeze is my least favorite. It's just... ugggh. There's no move that automatically inflicts it, and it's pretty unreliable. So I can't actually make use of it myself like I can all the other status effects. On the rare occasion I do see a Pokemon frozen solid, it's usually my own, and in the worst situation ever. Like I'll be on PBR's random wifi or something and be on my last Pokemon when suddenly I end up frozen thanks to a lucky Ice Beam. And lose simply because I was incapable of doing anything whatsoever for eight turns. I just always feel so cheated when that happens. There's nothing you can do most of the time but sit there and watch your Pokemon faint. xD;
As for the rest of them, I actually like them more than I dislike them. I use them in my teams all the time. Particularly Paralyzis, more for the speed-reduction side effect than for the chance of not attacking. I don't use many super-fast Pokemon, so it's nice to take advantage of that. |
Sleep. My Pokemons seem to always be caught in this condition. Once they fall asleep, it lasts for around four turns. Four turns is a long time, and they usually are in critical condition or had already fainted one turn ago.
There is also Freeze, but it's rare to get a Pokemon frozen solid. In my whole lifetime, I've only seen three Pokemons getting frozen. They were all my Pokemons, and it sucked each time. |
For me its a tie between sleep and paralyze! they're both a pain in the butt
I hate Confusion the most. My pokemon always hurts itself then dies >.<
I've only ever been frozen once...unknowingly, I'd saved myself by selecting Flame Wheel that turn anyway xD...so that doesn't irritate me.
Like Hiiro said, paralysis and infatuation are the worst. I have horrendous luck with infatuaution, except against Whitney....paralysis is really bad. I seem to have a 70% chance of being paralysed, and also, my strategies always involve either moving first, because otherwise I get OHKO'd, or being slow, bulky, and hitting hard, in which case paralysis lets them whittle down my health. Poison and Burn I can live with, as everywhere outside Johto I favour special attacks (especially Gen III, where I use dragon, grass, water, electric and ice a lot more), and overall I always favour steel-types. I also seem to have good luck with confusion, so that doesn't bother me much. |
Love and Freeze. GOD these are so annoying. |
Confusion. DEEEERP Where's the enemy?? I am so confused, I don't know anymore! MAYBE I'M THE ENEMY???
Sleep is better, because you can always use a flute. |
