There is no point in running timid, you aren't attacking so all the moves you are using ALWAYS go first due to Prankster..bold allows you to sorta actually take hits. You cant even argue that another Whimsicott can come in on it, what will they do to each other? PP stall to death? Oh and before you say it, Thundurus is suspect and cant be used, so no he cant ruin your day. Tornadus? "why would you leave it in on a Tornadus".

Whimsicott countering other, slower (bold), Whimsicott is very viable considering Taunt completely shuts them down. Also, Thundurus shouldn't be suspect in the first place. Like I said, our tiers are shaping up to be a complete joke, just like the site that makes them.

You should be running Encore on Whimsicott anyway. Taunt doesn't really stop set-uppers like Encore does.

Mind giving me a reason why Thundurus shouldn't be suspect?

edit @ syn: you let it kill itself from struggle recoil is what you do

Because it's not broken?

How is something with priority Taunt and Thunder Wave, the ability to rip through even the most well made team with sheer power after a single Nasty Plot not broken? If it wasn't broken, it wouldn't be suspect.

From the sounds of your comment, Thundurus, like most other things, has been destroying you lately, lol. Also, last I checked, Taunt, Thunder Wave, and Nasty Plot all weren't ran on the same set. Like I said, it's not broken nor are most of the other nonsense that is suspect at the moment.

In other, more important news:

This only shows you don't play and you have no idea what you are talking about. I never said those were on the same set, those were examples.

They don't need to be run on the same set, priority for all of those is nothing to scoff at. After one Nasty Plot and a Life Orb boosted staff attack, you're getting hit by something off of a circa 600 Special Attack. I'd like to see even a Blissey survive that. Also, you're argument as to why it shouldn't be banned, is invalid, as the only reason you've stated as to why it shouldn't be banned is "because it's not broken", and the rest of you're posts as to why it shouldn't be banned are exempt from content supporting that argument.

Cool story, bro. Tell it again.

Theres really this much arguement over a Whimsicott?

Anyways, im going Legendary hunting.
Which balls should I use to catch each of these - Victini, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Landorus, Kyurem, Tornadus, Darmanitan, Musharna, Zoroark and Volcorona.

If its not obvious, these are the interacable pokes/legends. I already have Reshiram in a Premier ball, what balls look the best for the rest of them. I was thinking Luxary for Zoroark but thats as far as I got

Alternative March 27th, 2011 12:29 AM

I have no idea why you're fighting whether Thunderus should be broken or not. I can't get one, so I don't care, but otherwise, if you can't beat it, you're not trying hard enough. Also with that, if you don't like Smogon's tier system, then don't follow it. I also love how you argue about these things in a trading thread. No one battles on wifi anymore. :P

So Blade's helping me now, because we found out what was wrong, I hit the spread I had and I got this.

Confagrigus Mummy
Brave Alert to Sounds
Level 37 UT

I mean, yeah it wasn't what I wanted, but I'm proud. Blade's making me work with only Frame 3 Spreads, and there weren't any flawless spreads with Frame 3 for me, so I worked with what it gave me.

I also got a Jolly one. Still working towards this Jolly Krokorok.

Go buy some repels and walk around then if you want a higher frame. :)

Yeah, I can't find a flawless spread though. :/

Whats the easiest way to advance the frame??

What's your max frame set on when you search for spreads?

Victini: Repeat, Ultra, or Luxury
Cobalion: Quick or Net
Terrakion: Ultra?
Vizirion: Nest
Landorus: Repeat, Luxury, Premier
Darmanitan: ^?
Musharna: Master, Heal
Zoroark: Luxury, Dusk, Premier
Volcarona: Dive (its butt is a cute blue)

gen 5 rng abuse? here's the info from smogon:
Spoiler:
Definition: Initial Frame
• For non C-Gear seeds, your initial frame will be 1.
• For C-Gear seeds, your initial frame will be 3.

You must now advance your initial frame to the frame right before your target frame, accounting for the method of IV generation for your target Pokémon. So far there are three known types of generation:

Regular Generation (for wild Pokémon and stationary legendaries)

- Starting Frame is 1

Egg Generation

- Starting Frame is 8

Roamer Generation

- Starting Frame is 2* (The speed IV will be put before the SpA IV, shifting them right)

Target – Initial – Starting + 1 = Advances Required

Advancing the frame:

Moving 128 steps with Z Pokémon in your party.

- Advances the frame by Z.

Moving a Pokémon to your party from the PC Box (Withdraw/Move)

- Advances the frame by 7.

Engaging in a battle.

- Advances at approximately 120 frames per second. Requires Frame Check code to pull off.

- This is how you hit frames above 1000. You probably will not have to hit these frames.

Advancing the frame for the RNG that determines nature\PID\egg inheritence:

Walking in areas with wild Pokémon

- Advances the frame by 1 per step.

Saving

- Advances the frame by 1 per save.

The C-Gear

- Advances at approximately 1 frames per second, but the exact number has not been tested.

Wandering NPCs

Thanks for the list Twighlight.
"Darmanitan: ^?" I realise its not a very special pokemon, but apparently the statues of them come to life or something (the ones near the desert castle thing you look for the Light/Dark stone)

Well if your not using an AR, make your min/max delay like 1500/7000 and your highest frame 7. But if you have an AR to check your frames/IVs, you can make the frame as high as you want

Even with an AR, high frames are annoying. I don't recommend anything over eight, unless you're good at hitting your delay.

AngelXavier March 27th, 2011 4:52 PM

What would I input into the finder thing then? Because i made max frame 10,000 the delay 1400-3000. And Idk what to use for IVs because Blade told me what to put for the Jolly Krokorok I was looking for. But it wasn't a flawless spread.

LOL!

No, make your max frame like eight for now. Min delay 1000 and max delay 6000.

well advancing the frame is easy, but 10,000 is just unheard of. To get more spreads make the IVs 31/31/31/(nothing)/31/31. With max frame 3, if you dont want to advance, and min/max delay 1500/7000. You wil get more results with higher delays

Okay, but what IV buttons do I press to get those IVs. Like == or <==30 I really don't understand. I'm gonna get on PO Josh, if you wanna meet me on there to tell me because it's faster.

Alternative March 27th, 2011 5:16 PM

Actually, chances are you're not going to find an awesome spread which is quint-flawless, unless you're me/blaQk/Blade/someone else awesome, but search for other things, like if Speed isn't your biggest option, make that >25 or something.
