This is going to end badly anyways, so I'll just say Mud-Slap To the left.

Thorns October 5th, 2010 8:37 PM

Mud-Slap the tree. Please and thank you. :D

Diablerie October 5th, 2010 10:20 PM

Mud-Slap to the Left!
Ralts was charging Hidden Power, preparing to deliver the final blow.
"Mudkip... Mud-Slap to your left!" Mudkip jumped to the left, Mud-Slapping the already slanting and decaying tree. It falls slowly to the ground. Wally and Ralts stare at the tree nervously as it collapsed, the Hidden Power half-charged in Ralts' hands. This gives you the opening you need as you slip Mudkip a Potion. Not only that, but seeing the half-charged Hidden Power has given you an idea.
"Ralts, Hidden Power!" called Wally, returning his attention to the battle.
"Now! Tackle!" you yell. The Tackle slams Ralts while it's still charging the attack. Ralts was sent spinning, firing the Hidden Power way off-course.
"Come on! Hidden Power!"
"Quickly, Tackle!" Once more, Mudkip charge in and slammed Ralts before Hidden Power could be fully charged.
"Gr... Have to change tactics. Confusion!" Ralts held Mudkip up in mid-air with its psychic powers. But you've seen enough pro-battling on TV to know how to deal with this.
"Mudkip! Growl!" Mudkip growled at Ralts, breaking its concentration and making Mudkip fall back down. "End it now with Mud-Slap!" And before Ralts could even begin charging a new attack, the Mud-Slap finished Ralts off.
***
"Hey, thanks for the battle!" you say to Wally afterwards.
"Y-you too. By the way... do you want this? I don't really need it." says Wally, handing you a TM10, Hidden Power. "I'll see you around. I guess." And with that, the young trainer walked away. The moment he was gone...
"YES! I ACTUALLY WON A REAL POKEMON BATTLE! Yeah, baby, yeah!"
***
You continue your trip to Mauville and realise you're close to reaching the city. Is there anything else you want to do before reaching the city?

Your Options
-Training session!
-Teach TM10 to one of your Pokemon.
-Nope. Head into Mauville now.

Note: Whenever you participate in a training session, each member of your team rises by 3 levels, so it can be useful if the team is struggling and needs to improve. However training can sometimes cause you to miss out on other events.

Mudkip and Tailow need to train! :)

alisaie October 6th, 2010 10:23 AM

No point in heading to Mauville if they're that weak. Let's train a bit.

Thorns October 6th, 2010 4:26 PM

I'll make this decision easy and say train.

Let's save the TM's for later, or maybe for money.

Diablerie October 6th, 2010 11:41 PM

Training Session!
You decide to put off your entry into Mauville for a while to train your Pokemon. They both get a bit stronger, and Mudkip learns Water Gun once it hits Lv10. Satisfied, you set up camp for the night.
***
As you sit at your campfire, you watch Mudkip and Tailow. Your first day as a trainer is coming to an end, and you've managed to capture 2 Pokemon and win a Pokemon battle. Tomorrow you'll take on your first Gym. You're psyched, but will you be able to win?
***
You reach Mauville City, and you see a signpost:
-Rydel's Cycles - Check out our great deals on our wide variety of bikes!
-Win a TM, for a limited time only at the Game Corner!
-The Winstrates - now accepting challenges!
-The Pokemart. Your one stop Pokemon trainer shop.

You figure you have enough time to visit 3 places before the Gym. Where do you want to go first?

Your Options
-The Game Corner
-The Winstrates
-The Pokemart

I agree. Let's go get our bike. Running/walking is a pain.

WonderGirl October 7th, 2010 5:34 AM

No, we need to go to the PokéMart! You never know what will happen, and you may want to buy things that will save you ^_^

dragonite149 October 7th, 2010 6:38 AM

Let's go to the Game Corner! I wanna win that TM!

GrifSpark October 7th, 2010 11:43 AM

Game Corner
Think of the horror if we win IceBeam...

Diablerie October 7th, 2010 12:49 PM

Ok, so we have:

Pokemart - 1
Winstrates - 0
Rydel's Cycles - 2
Game Corner - 2

No love for the Winstrates?

Thorns October 7th, 2010 5:48 PM

Rydel's since we need a bike. :D

I hate gambling anyways XD.

Diablerie October 7th, 2010 10:06 PM

Visit Rydel's Cycles!
You decide that you want a bicycle. You head over to Rydel's Cycles and ask for a bike.
"Sure kid." says the attendant, "What price range were you looking for? 10,000 Poke Dollars?"
"Uh... I don't really have that kind of money..." you say. Looks like you won't be getting a bike after all... A man, with a nametag saying 'Rydel' comes out from behind the counter.
"Well hold on there, Bob..." says Rydel. Rydel and the sales person go into a huddle and start talking. You're not sure what they're talking about, but you pick up on key phrases like "just what we need" and "business opportunity". Eventually Rydel emerges from the huddle and comes back over to you.
"Well kid, just because I'm a real sweetheart, you can have this Mach Bike for free. The only condition is, I just want you to do a little advertising for me."
* * *
You stare proudly at your new bike. It is completely plastered in ads for Rydel's Cycles, but hey, a free bike is a free bike.
You still have time to visit two more places before the Gym. Where do you want to go next?

Your Options:
-The Game Corner
-The Winstrates

Akita October 8th, 2010 11:52 AM

Pokemart

We need supplies, bro'.

Thorns October 8th, 2010 3:00 PM

May I remind everyone we would need the Coin Case to play at the Game Corner, which we will need t oexchange Hrbor Mail for. >_>

And we aren't going all the way to Slateport to get it.

So I say we go to the Poke Mart.

Diablerie October 8th, 2010 3:33 PM

Right, so thats:
-Game Corner - 2
-Pokemart - 2
-Winstrates - 0

pokemonpokemonpokemon59 October 8th, 2010 9:45 PM

game corner ICE BEAM FTW :D

GrifSpark October 9th, 2010 8:24 AM

.Game Corner.
I stick with my original plan, and I refuse to change until we have more TM's!

Diablerie October 9th, 2010 11:16 PM

Visit the Game Corner
You decide to relax and head over to the city's Game Corner, to check out the TM promotion.
"Hey kid! You wanna gamb... uh, game, here at the Game Corner?"
"Sure."
And you so you game. And win. And game. And win. Eventually you realise, you're one coin short of winning a TM, and you decide to do one last roulette game. You can chose a Pokemon to bet on. However, you realise you can't stick around for too long, if you wanna take on the gym today, so if you lose these game you're probably not gonna have time to win more coins. Which Pokemon do you want to bet on?

Your Options
-Pikachu
-Marill
-Tailow
-Treecko

I choose Marill
Ah, I remember when I first bought Pokemon Emerald. I caught Marill since it could be found just outside PetalBurg, and a Water-type would be useful for the gym. She soon went on to being one of my most used Pokemon. That is why I choose Marill!

Dark Pulse94 October 9th, 2010 11:29 PM

Tailow, as we have one!

I'm glad you are continuing this, Diablerie, Thanks!
