The (once again) Scramble Challenge!!!

Sooooo, someone said "make this". Here it is.

In this challenge, you sign up by posting your name, what game you're playing, and how many Pokemon you want. The next poster will then assign you a Pokemon. So will the poster after that. And on and on until you have a full team of Pokemon. But its not that simple. When others select the Pokemon for you, they also get to limit your movesets, when you can catch them, when they can evolve, what item they can hold, etc. These are called restrictions, and someone can give you as many or as few as they want. If they're feeling really nice, they can even give none at all. If you don't want any restrictions, post that in your sign up.

If this thread is really slow, the same person can give you multiple Pokemon. I don't want this to mean that someone gives you a Pokemon, waits five minutes and says "ZOMG ITS SLOW HERE'S 5 MORE!!!!!1!1" but if it goes a day or so, feel free to ask the same person again, just to speed up the process.

Once you have your team, please VM me a simple list of your Pokemon and restrictions. I will add it to the end of this post. When you are done with the challenge, VM me again and I'll add you to the Champ list.

Here's an example of what the process should look like.

Name: Slagathor
Game Name: A
Game: Sapphire
Number of Pokemon: 5
Restrictions: Go for it.
_____________________________________________

Then someone will say: Hi Slagathor! Your first Pokemon is... Sableye. He can't learn Faint Attack, and he must have Brick Break.

This means that you must, obviously, get a Sableye at the first chance, and when you can, you must teach him Brick Break. And also he can't learn Faint Attack.
______________________________________________

Before long, you'll have 5 Pokemon, which is the number that you signed up for. After that, you send me a VM saying "hey Myrrh, the pokemon I was given are: #1: Sableye: Can't have Faint Attack, must have Brick Break.
#2: (Whatever is your second)
#3: (Whatever is your third)
#4: (Whatever is your fourth)
#5: (Whatever is your fifth)

Other Rules:

1. Your challenge is over when you beat Red (if available), or the elite four if red is not in your game.
2. Don't give people Magikarps, Caterpies (unless they can evolve), etc.
3. Also no Legendaries
4. If you want them to not be able to evolve the Pokemon they give you, then put that in the restriction. If you don't specifically say "You cannot evolve this Pokemon" then they can.
5. Don't give everyone the same Pokemon. That's stupid.
6. If someone has 3 Fire types on their team, STOP giving them Fire Types.
7. If they have a Gyarados on their team, it is perfectly fine to give them another one with different restrictions. Just make sure you only do this with Pokemon that have large Movepools, so there can be variety.
8. Have fun.

Sapeiro, have an Abra. Cannot use special TMs and may at most have 2 Psychic moves at a time.

So, yeah...

I am in dire need of one more...

Team so far:

* Ampharos (must know all the elemental punches).
* Qwilfish (it's only water attack must be Whirpool).
* Sudowoodo (must have 3 Rock-type moves). Note: Rock Throw, Rock Slide, Rollout, Sandstorm... Are there any others in gen2? xD
* ...?

WeightyWillBill, since you don't want a Tentacool, you can have a Tentacruel, which can ONLY have level-up moves it can learn from the level you caught it. No TMs, HMs, move tutoring, breeding, etc.

I'm using sapphire, I can't get Fearow

EDIT: Plus, aren't legendaries against the rules?

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 26th, 2010 9:14 AM

WeightyWillBill, you get a special attacking Spinda (no physical-type attacks).

Thanks for the Skitty, I've never used one before :>

Mal'akh, I give you a Numel that must have any two of these attacks: Toxic, Attract, Amnesia and Double Team.

mondays suck September 26th, 2010 9:22 AM

@ Sapeiro: By Abra I was meaning the Abra line, if I would have been meaning just Abra itself, I would have said something about an evolution restriction.

If I may give you another one, Mal'akh:
Have a Pinsir! But when it learns Brick Break by level up, replace that attack with Secret Power :>

Btw, I'm still waiting for 2 more guys as well.

Alrighty then. xD

So that's a Numel that must learn Toxic and Attract;
Machoke that cannot learn Revenge, but must know Bulk Up;
and a Pinsir who's level-up-Brick Break must be replaced with Secret Power.
Now just one more. 8D

myrrhman September 26th, 2010 10:48 AM

Right. Everything is updated so far. I added a couple of rules, so yeah...

So that we can get everyone going, I'm going to go ahead and finish everyone's lineups.

Dunsparce: Take a Breloom. His only Grass move must be Mega Drain, and his only Fighting move must be Mach Punch
Also, finish with a Grumpig. It must have all damaging moves, exactly 2 of which are Psychic type.

mal'akh, take a Gyarados. Only restriction is that it can't have more than one HM on it. Your choice which one it is, though.

and JeTz, finish up with a Torterra. He must have 4 different type attacks for his moveset.

All right, I think that's everyone.

mal'akh September 26th, 2010 10:50 AM

Yay! I'll start now, in fact. c:
Will update later tonight!

Arnold, your first Pokemon is a Charmeleon. He must have Dig, and no Flamethrower.

I still need one more Pokemon but I can wait.

-Lunatone, Must know Rock Tomb and Ice Beam. Cannot learn Psychic
-Spinda, Special moves only
-Kecleon, Thief and Skill Swap, no Slash, Aerial Ace, or Brick Break
-Mightyena, must know Howl and Take Down

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 26th, 2010 11:51 AM

Awesome!
(My comment is in brackets)
Team:
- (For)everstoned Mudkip:>
- DTeam (ninja) Swellow
- Offensive (HM slave) Tropius
- (derpy cute) Skitty that evolves at lv 33
- Breloom with grass - Mega Drain and fighting - Mach Punch (will be interesting)
- Offensive (Boss) Grumpig - 2 psychic moves.

Btw do non-damaging grass moves count for my Breloom?

Arnold, you get:
An Arbok that cannot fight wild pokemon :] Can I do that?
EDIT: Can't remember if you can get 'Bok in Blue, if not, make it a Sandslash instead.

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 26th, 2010 1:48 PM

HallwayKid, you get a Mudkip that can only evolve when it beats Whitney singlehandedly, and again when it beats Claire singlehandedly as a Marshtomp.
Enjoy :>

Arnold, if you would like another from me, you can have a Poliwhirl with only one offensive move.

Sapeiro September 26th, 2010 2:00 PM

Hallway, you can also have a female Azumarill, which must have Attract as one of her moves, and can only have a single water type move at any given time.

wuuuuuuuuut.

Also, Hallway, you may use a Flygon, which must have all four offensive moves, but it can't have a move with more than 75 Base Power. NO CRUNCH FOR YOU.

Thanks, GoGoShinyDunsparce for two of the pokemon and completing my team. Okay my team's completed and I have comments to go with each.

Team:
-Charmeleon-Must learn Dig and cannot learn Flamethrower
*My team is weak to grass so I have to save them with Ember (or any other move) until I get Fire Blast.

-Cloyster-Must learn Teleport and Clamp; cannot learn ice-type moves
*Makes my grass weakness harder to relieve without ice moves. I learned to love Clamp in my solo run with Cloyster and Teleport will make grinding easy excluding Sandslash of course.

-Sandslash-Cannot fight wild Pokemon.
*One of the most interesting since I have to use him in trainer battles for him to level up. Sandslash is free to have any move he requires.

-Poliwhirl-Can only learn one offensive move.
*The offensive move will most likely be ice type or Ice Beam. For the others I might include Metronome to try my luck, Toxic, and another move that will come to me later.

Overall, My team has an appalling grass weakness which makes Charmeleon more vital. I'll start now and see how far I will get.

mal'akh September 26th, 2010 2:14 PM

Crap. Super sorry guys. Cant partake in this stuff. D:
Not now anyways. Would have NO time for it. Sorry, I'll do it another time though. <333

Sapeiro September 26th, 2010 2:21 PM

myrrh, I changed the Mawile for an Azumarill, since Mawile has 380 BS, and he asked for at least 400.

I edited, but still... His new pokémon is a female Azumarill with Attract as one of her moves, and she can't have more than one STAB attack at a time.

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 26th, 2010 2:26 PM

Yeah, sorry about that Hallway, I did get a bit too creative in my search for non-moveset-related restrictions :] Don't want to dictate your gameplay.

If you want something instead of the weird Mudkip, try this:
Spoiler:

Physical attacker Pelipper with an Attack-raising nature.

Oh, and Arnold - you're welcome, this thread is one of my favourites already :>

HallwayKid September 26th, 2010 2:48 PM

Yah, I'm not good enough to do the Mudkip thing. Requires way to much grinding for my taste.

Current Team:
A physical attacker Pelipper with an Attack-raising nature.
A female Azumarill, which must have Attract as one of her moves, and can only have a single water type move at any given time.
A Flygon, which must have all four offensive moves, but it can't have a move with more than 75 Base Power.

Three more and I'm good to go.

-Aron family. Must have Secret Power, only one other attack.

HallwayKid...have a Ninjask which cannot know swords dance.

Sapeiro September 26th, 2010 7:26 PM

Myrrhman, I've noticed a mistake with Poliwhirl's restriction. GoGoShinyDunsparce said, "A Poliwhirl with only one offensive move." Sorry for being a bother.

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 26th, 2010 9:53 PM

^Yup, that's right.

Tachikaze, I give you a Sealeo with Aurora Beam as its only Ice move. It also must know Encore.

Comi - take a Stantler that must have Charge Beam and Energy Ball as its only offensive moves.

And here's another one:
Spoiler:

Magcargo that must have 3 moves taught by move tutor.

ComiTurtle September 26th, 2010 10:25 PM

4 more to go for me and
Tachikaze take a Masquerain which must always have water spout and can't evolve until it KOs your rival's starter alone.
Also HallwayKid you get a Ariados that can only know psychc and poison type moves.

Zash September 26th, 2010 10:46 PM

No Restrictions except... I want at least 2 good, challenging things.
Game= Crystal
4 pokemon

Team:

1. Girafarig, 1 atk move at a time. (i think it's going to start with me in an "egg" since they arent in crystal)

2. Ursaring knows attract, no move stronger than 60. (yay for 5% chance pokemon.)

3. Machamp with the three punches only (can i hack it since ill be playing a rom without trading, and if so, what lvl to make machamp evovle?.)

4. Hoothoot that can't evovle until it kills a noctowl. (going to start during night almost morning so i can catch teddiursa right after)

Ready to run.

Tachikaze you get an aron that must know secert power and can only have one other attack move.

ComiTurtle September 26th, 2010 10:52 PM

Zash you get a Girafarig that may only have one offensive move at a time.

Zash September 26th, 2010 11:04 PM

Comi turtle you get a croconaw that can't evolve but must know water gun and leer forever.
Hallwaykid you can have a Torkoal that his only attack can be Overheat although he can also have rocksmash.

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 26th, 2010 11:18 PM

Zash, I give you an Attracting Ursaring that cannot know any moves with base power higher than 60.
Good luck :]

JeTz September 26th, 2010 11:42 PM

Team:
- Staraptor ; can't learn bravebird ; must have endeavor
- Misdreavus ; must have psywave ; only evolve at first Elite 4 room
- Torkoal ; only tm moves
- Torterra ; 4 different types for moves
Omg thanks for the Torterra :3

Kay, my team set. I will starting my run later today or tommorow. Exam ongoing o_o

HallwayKid September 27th, 2010 3:33 AM

I can't fit both Waterfall and Surf, as well as Whirlpool, on the Pokemon given to me. My Physical Attacking Pelipper can't learn any water type HMs and my Azumarill can only learn one of them at a time. I also can't fit Rock Climb into one of my Pokemon.

Can someone give me a Pokemon instead of the Ariados (who can't learn any HMs) that can learn Surf. Preferably one that can learn Rock Climb.

JeTz September 27th, 2010 6:11 AM

Alright! Doing a little progress here :)

  • Choose a guy name Jetz
  • Rival named Nick
  • Choose a Turtwig and beat my rival
  • Nicknamed Turtwig into Tuwwy
  • Caught a Bidoof and named ''slave''
  • Caught a Starly and named Starry
  • Grinded both of them a little white
  • Received a Poketch
  • Thrashed Rival
  • Reached Oreburgh and get Roark back to the Gym
  • Thrashed him with Tuwwy's Razor Leaf :D
  • Saved.
Team:
http://static.marriland.com/images/hgss/sprites/front/norm/387_turtwig_1_m.png
Tuwwy Lv.15 (
4 different types for moves )
Quirkly Nature / Overgrow
- Tackle
- Withdraw
- Absorb
- Razor Leaf
having absorb and razor leaf is not what i want but that is the moveset he will learn at the first so i will let forget absorb as soon i able to learn another move.
http://static.marriland.com/images/hgss/sprites/front/norm/396_starly_1_m.png
Starry Lv.13 (
can't learn bravebird ; must have endeavor )
Relaxed Nature / Keen Eye
- Tackle
- Double Team
- Quick Attack
- Wing Attack
starry is doing quite well since he had disadvantage on roark's pokemon i let tuwwy do the work.

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 27th, 2010 6:22 AM

HallwayKid - how about an Omastar that must learn 3 HMs and 1 TM?

Sapeiro September 27th, 2010 8:56 AM

Comi, get yourself a never evolving Bellsprout, who cannot have damaging moves.

You wanted weird stuff, didn't you? xD

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 27th, 2010 9:14 AM

^Whoa, Stallsprout O.O That's cool.

Looks like the hype in this thread is dying down...
Zash, if you want something else from me, you can have this:
Spoiler:

Hoothoot that may only evolve once it has defeated a Noctowl (dealt the blow that fainted it).

HallwayKid September 27th, 2010 10:42 AM

Team:
A physical attacker Pelipper with an Attack-raising nature.
A female Azumarill, which must have Attract as one of her moves, and can only have a single water type move at any given time.
A Flygon, which must have all four offensive moves, but it can't have a move with more than 75 Base Power.
A Ninjask which cannot know Swords Dance.
A Torkoal that his only attack can be Overheat, although he can also have Rock Smash.
An Omastar that must learn 3 HMs and 1 TM.

Thank you for the Omastar.

I'll start on this Tomorrow night since I'm busy until then.

ComiTurtle September 27th, 2010 12:23 PM

Statler: Only offensive moves are Charge Beam and Energy Ball. (Simple)
Macargo: Must have three move tutor moves. (Interesting)
Craconaw: Must always know Water Gun and Leer it can’t evolve. (Fun)
Bellsprout: Can’t evolve ever must not have any offensive moves. (Yes Stallsprout FTW)

Two more to go.

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 27th, 2010 12:31 PM

ComiTurtle, I know I've already given you two, but if you want something to get you started faster you can have:

Spoiler:

Sunnybeaming Aipom that cannot evolve and its only Normal move is Scratch.

myrrhman September 27th, 2010 4:48 PM

Back. My mistake whoever i mistook, it's fixed now.

Zash, your final Pokemon is a Machamp who can only have 3 moves; Thunderpunch, Ice Punch, and Fire Punch. Move delete the other move he learns.

Comi, your final Pokemon will be a Gyarados, but you have to replace his strongest move after every gym leader. Once a move is deleted, he can't relearn it. Try not to teach him HM moves unless you have access to the move deleter if it is his strongest move. Also, this rule is only in effect for the first 8 gyms. When you get into the elite four, whatever moveset he has, he must stick with for the remainder of the game.

Tachi, you get a Sceptile, but he can only have one offensive move at a time, and it must be Grass Type.

To finish you off, your last Pokemon is going to be a Sableye, but it cannot have two moves of the same type, and must keep Astonish.

I think that finishes everyone off...

ComiTurtle September 27th, 2010 5:19 PM

Statler: Only offensive moves are Charge Beam and Energy Ball. (Simple)
Macargo: Must have three move tutor moves. (Interesting)
Craconaw: Must always know Water Gun and Leer it cannot evolve. (Fun)
Bellsprout: Can’t evolve ever must not have any offensive moves. (Yes Stallsprout FTW)
Aipom: Can't evolve must have Sunny Day Solarbeam combo. The only normal type move it can know ever is scratch. (That means it doesn’t need to have scratch, right?)
Gyarados: Must forget/change strongest move after every gym. HM moves should only be the strongest once I can get to the Move Deleter does not apply against the Elite Four.
Once those are clarified I will start.

Project. September 27th, 2010 5:46 PM

I like this challenge. I may try it sometime ;D

For the gyarados, you only worry about the first 8 gyms. Once you get to the elite four, that's your final moveset. Don't change it in between gyms 9-16, or red.

Update:

Spoiler:
Chose the male trainer, named myself Tachi
Started with Treecko, forgot to nickname it
Did some grinding before May, Treecko learned Absorb. Woo! No longer breaking the rules...kinda
Beat May at level 7 (Had 4 HP left by the end...didn't even use my potion.)
Caught a Lotad (Lola)
Helped Wally catch a Ralts
After 20 minutes with my emulator's speed button, I finally caught a Surskit (Masque)
Saved the Devon guy from a pirate.
Battled some trainers, deposited Lola and headed to the first gym
Treecko blitzed Roxanne's team with Absorb

Retrieved the Devon Goods and saved Peeko from Team Aqua
Headed to Dewford, decided to give Steven the letter before going to the gym
Caught Aron (Aaron) and Sableye (Forgot to nickname) taught Sableye Rock Tomb to reduce its rulebreakingness
Sableye proceeded to solo the Dewford Gym

Battled the trainers on Slateport beach, Treecko evolved
Beat Team Aqua in the Museum
Barely beat May...Grovyle had to absorb her Shroomish to death...
Beat Wally in Mauville City. Masque learned Water Sport.
Did some grinding, Aaron learned Iron defense and Roar (Not breaking as many rules anymore)
Beat Wattson with some luck and a tactic I never would've used if I had the choice. (Double Team+Leer then switch in Mud slap)

Team:
Surskit Lv.21

Game: Diamond
6 Pokemon
No restrictions except I want to be able to fly and surf, and fully evolved.

ComiTurtle September 28th, 2010 6:51 PM

Metacolts for your first pokemon you get a Chimecho it must know Shock Wave and it can only have one psychic move and the other two must be normal type moves.

Also if you would like a second from me you can have a Bibarel that must know two HM moves and can't evolve until it KOs three gym leader pokemon. (Doesn't have to be from the same gym leader and only needs to do the finishing blow.)

Also I shall start my adventure tomorrow.

metscolts September 28th, 2010 7:02 PM

@comiturtle
Ill take the first for now and if i need one later ill take ur second. Do u still need any?

myrrhman September 28th, 2010 7:48 PM

Nope, everyone is full, metscolts... except you!!!

Take a Bronzong who must have one Psychic move, one Steel Move, and two to counter his weakness. If he has the heatproof ability, he is weak to ground, so you must have two attacks that can hit pure Ground types for super effective damage. If you have the Levitate ability, you are weak to Fire, and must have two attacks that can hit pure Fire types for super effective damage.

In other news... PROGRESS

I did a last minute switch to Yellow, because then I can get a Mankey really early in the game. Caught a Mankey and my Pikachu. Pikachu eventually learned Quick Attack over Thundershock, making him legal. Mankey grew to 15 and learned Karate Chop, which was Normal back in the days. He beat Brock with its super Critical Hit powers. I then realized how useless Pikachu is going to be... He can only learn Normal moves (except Thunderwave) and thus, he will probably just be bringing up the rear of my team, never contributing anything. I mean, right now, I have a level 20 Mankey and a level 11 Pikachu... Tsk tsk.

Misty and Lt. Surge were easy enough with Mankey, who evolved on the SS Anne. Btw, I have charmander as my cut slave for now. I'm going to ditch him when I catch a Farfetch'd, who will be cut-fly, and Lapras will be Surf (Primeape Strength).

After arriving in Celadon City, I quickly obtained a Doduo. In the shopping mart, I bought one of every drink, and saved the water for the guard, nabbing Rock Slide and Tri Attack, which went to Primeape and Doduo, respectively. Doduo only knows Peck and Tri Attack as moves of importance, and Primeape knows TBolt, Dig, Rock Slide, and Karate Chop. Doduo learned Drill Peck and Evolved in the Fighting Dojo, and then made fast work of Erika.

1/2 of game done today, time to stop for now.

metscolts September 29th, 2010 2:59 AM

My Team
- Chimecho shockwave, 1 psychic, 2 normal
- Bronzong 1 steel, 1 psychic, and 2 against his weakness( fire or ground )
- Clamperl only learn Attract, Swagger, Iron Defense, Confuse Ray, Toxic, Surf/ Waterfall
- Gengar Can only use curse above half HP.
- Skarmory 2HM, 1TM, and 1 level up move
- Qwilfish- has to know destiny bound

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 29th, 2010 4:59 AM

Metscolts - you get a Clamperl that can only know a selection of the following moves: Attract, Toxic, Swagger, Iron Defense, Confuse Ray, Waterfall/Surf.
You may evolve it if you can/want to, but it can still only learn those moves. It can't know both Surf and Waterfall at the same time.

That should be fun ^^

@ComiTurtle - Aipom doesn't have to know Scratch, no.

Zash September 29th, 2010 7:57 AM

metscolts you can have a gengar family that must use curse everytime it's higher than half hp. don't have to take it if you think this is too evil.

Also can I grind my machop outside of gyms/trainer battles without the thunder, ice, fire punch?

Just been trying to sweep through game with my team although is a little tricky. Dominated first 2 gyms. Once in goldenrod machop learned thunder, ice, fire punch, made me broke so i had to get lucky against third gym (cant think of her name). Failed twice, finally hoothoot's hypnosis lasted 5+ turns for girafarig to easily confuse it to death. Teddiursa learned attract, she is also female. Morty was a joke with the team I have, girafarig 1hko everything. Luckily as hoothoot was lvl 20 I found a wild noctowl and won so I could evovle. Nothing tough in the next gyms. 6 badges. I think red will be the only hard part of challenge. I could breed an amnesia/baton pass girafarig and let go of the one I have now to dominate but I think I'll be ok.

Level 28 Teddiursa : Cut (best STAB lol), attract, lick, faint atk
Level 29 Noctowl: Fly, Hypnosis, Reflect, Peck
Level 32 Machoke : Focus Energy (never used) Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, Ice Punch
Level 30 Girafarig : Confusion, Growl, Baton Pass, Agility (one lvl from psybeam i think)

First update! Finally:
Spoiler:

Chose Mudkip, named him Mr. Stoned, because that's what he is, EverStoned. And it suits him :>
Did all the usual questy stuff, busted through to route 103 and caught Shadows the Taillow.
Taillows are beast early in the game - Wing Attack at lv 13 should not be treated lightly. Plus, his only limitation is that he must acquire Double Team as a Swellow.
Caught the 3rd member of my party in Petalburg woods - Knockout the Shroomish. He'll be a Breloom one day, and Leech Seed will have to go.
Near the end of the day, when my party was around lv 13, I ended up catching Thunder the Skitty as well.

Team:
Spoiler:

:t258: Mr. Stoned - cannot evolve
:t300: Thunder - evolve only at lv 33
:t276: Shadows - must learn Double Team
:t285: Knockout - Mega Drain only grass move, Mach Punch only Fighting move

Domin-8 September 29th, 2010 3:36 PM

metscolts September 29th, 2010 3:52 PM

Domin8
First pokemon is a Bulbasaur that can only have 2 grass moves and 1 posion move. Also, it can only evolve after you have beaten the 2nd gym.

Esp1222 September 29th, 2010 4:41 PM

Name: Dark Sceptile
Game Name: Scepy
Game: Crystal
Number of Pokemon:4
Restrictions: No certain movesets, no forcing Magikarp, unless it evolves. And no forcing other crappy pokemon

metscolts September 29th, 2010 4:55 PM

@ Dark,
You need to get a growlithe and you can evolve it but only after completing the 5th gym. And, it can only know 2 fire
moves.

I still need 2 pokemon, hopefully 1 can learn fly.

ComiTurtle September 29th, 2010 6:47 PM

First update is kind of lame I really didn't have alot of time.

Started the game called myself Comi.
Got Totodile named him "Croc Man".
Finished opening.
Owned rival(Silver).
Caught female Bellsprout named her "Stalsprout".
Trained a little without useing vinewhip.
Got to Bell Tower on third floor.

Team:
Lv. 12 Croc Man (Totodile).
Moves: Water Gun, Leer, Scratch, Rage.
Lv. 7 Stalsprout (Bellsprout).
Moves: Vine Whip (only used while it was wild), Growth.

Domin-8 you can have a Venomoth that has to know Frustration and Return. Those moves also must be the first two attacks it can use in any battle (In any order.)

Dark Sceptile you can have Quagisre that can only evolve after defeating two grass types with a 5 Lv. diference by its self.

(Also how do you put up spoliers?)

myrrhman September 29th, 2010 7:17 PM

Scepy, take a Xatu that can only evolve after you complete the Ruins of Alph puzzle. I don't know if that's hard or not, but there you go.

Domin, you get a Farfetch'd that can only learn moves with under 70 base power.

mets, you get a Skarmory, but its final moveset has to consist of: 1 level up move, 1 TM, 1 HM, and 1 egg move. Can't breed? You get another HM in its place.

To do spoilers, click "go advanced", highlight your text, and click the blue box that says abc on it on the right, next to the youtube button. Or, without highlighting your text, type [.SPOIL.ER]your text goes here[/.SPOI.LER] without the .'s

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 29th, 2010 10:00 PM

Dark Sceptile - you get a Furret that must know Hyper Beam before it reaches lv 35. It cannot use it when its HP bar is green, and must use it at least once as soon as the bar becomes orange or red.

Metscolts - can you get a Qwilfish? If so, it must know Destiny Bond.

Also, update:
Spoiler:

My team is about to take on Lavaridge Gym, so far they haven't had any difficulty with anyone.

Team:
Spoiler:

:t258: Mr. Stoned, lv 29 - Rock Smash, Take Down, Water Gun, Growl - Holding Everstone ^^ - Cannot evolve
:t277: Shadows, lv 27 - Wing Attack, Quick Attack, Double Team, Focus Energy - Must know Double Team
:t286: Knockout, lv 27 - Mach Punch, Mega Drain, Headbutt, Stun Spore* - Mega Drain only Grass move, Mach Punch only Fighting move
:t300: Thunder, lv 33 - Covet, Secret Power, Assist, Attract - Evolve at level 33

:t263: Cutslave, lv 6 - Cut, Tackle, Growl, Tail Whip - Cut slave until I get Tropius.

I'm going to replace Knockout's Stun Spore as soon as it tries to learn something new. 'Illegal' moves are marked with an *.
Also, question to WeightyWillBill - does Skitty HAVE to evolve at lv 33, or can I evolve her later?

Porygon Z September 30th, 2010 5:30 AM

Name: Porygon Z
Version: Green (GBC :D)
Team: 5 + 1 HM Slave

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 30th, 2010 7:49 AM

Porygon-Z - You can have a Nidorino/Nidoking whose only damaging moves must use its horn, e.g. Horn Attack, Fury Attack; no punching, kicking etc.
Gearuvagen - Take a Volbeat that cannot learn TMs or HMs.

Domin-8 September 30th, 2010 7:50 AM

Alright so:
Bulbasaur: 2 grass moves 1 poison and evolve it when I normally would (after second gym)
Venomoth that knows frustration and Return used as first two attacks in battle
And Farfetch'd that can only learn moves with under 70 base power.

Got it. let's see how this goes haha.

EDIT:
Porygon-Z - Cubone (or Marowak) Must keep Bone Club

Gearuvagen - Baltoy (or Claydol) must know Ancient Power cannot be used in Trainer battles (Gym trainers do not count)

Ian Watkins September 30th, 2010 7:54 AM

Gearuvagen, take a Shuppet that cannot evolve (<3)
Porygon Z Take a Charmander that cannot learn any flying moves when it evolves.

Also, can I sign up again, but with Diamond? It just my current HeartGold runthrough will take a while, and I really want to do this. ^_^;

Username: Ian Watkins
Game: Diamond
Restrictions: No really weak pokemon, all pokemon need an attacking move, and something that can learn surf (doesn't have to be a water type), and a flyer.

Soo.... Hit me! xD

GoGoShinyDunsparce September 30th, 2010 8:06 AM

Watkins - Gastrodon can't know ground moves other than Dig, and can't know Muddy Water.

myrrhman September 30th, 2010 8:22 AM

Oh yeah, I finished my challenge. Primeape carried my team, and ended at like 76.

Now then, I see there are a plethora of new contenders. Here are your Pokemon:

Porygon Z, your second Pokemon is a Parasect that can't have any damaging moves other than HMs. You can have leech seed and Poison Powder though; they don't count.

Scepy, you get a Miltank as your last Pokemon. It must know Attract and Milk Drink, and can only use Milk Drink in Yellow health, not red or Green.

Gear, your first Pokemon is a Seviper that can only learn attacks that use its Mouth and Tail

Ian Watkins September 30th, 2010 9:27 AM

I forgot to say, butI want 5 pokemon btw. =]

-Gastrodon that can only have dig as it's ground move, and cannot learn muddy water.
