omg omg omg that Spheal gif is the greatest.

And if I don't have a Canadian accent, what is my accent? :(

Spinor September 28th, 2010 7:13 PM

Spheal with it? Who the hell would come up with such a damn abomination! >__>

I'll be honest, Mexican-American.

Your mom's chest hair came up with it AK47. Just kidding, my friend Franc made it for my Spheal-obsessed friends.

Spheal was the last Pokemon I expected to have any fanbase when I first saw it...

It's a seal and a beach ball. What's not to love here? A win-win combo. :3

Spheal is the most adorable thing ever.

But I like kicking seals and popping beach balls. Does that mean I have some sort of social disorder?

:( I like Spheal because I want to roll it down a flight of stairs.

And I don't even mean that in a bad way, I just think it'd be adorable to see it go down a certain flight of stairs on my campus. My friends think I'm crazy.

(I probably am crazy. Oh well.)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you are. But watching round things roll down a set of stairs is fun. So I can see what you're getting at with a Spheal.

That said, watching a cat touch maybe two or three steps while dashing down a 15-step stairway is entertaining, too. Those little rascals can really fly down stairwells if they're motivated. XD

professor plum September 28th, 2010 7:40 PM

Yes, Erica, you are crazy. n_n

Alice September 28th, 2010 7:53 PM

I'm so out of breath right now. D: I just ran about a mile for the first time in about a year lol.

I can imagine a spheal gently rolling down a flight of stairs, lightly bouncing off each step, and saying it's name every time. lol

The last time you mentioned rolling a Spheal down a flight of stairs, I advised strapping C4 to it and covering it in axle grease in order to replicate the effects of a Type-1 Antipersonnel Grenade.

Since Jeef also mentioned that the Spheal was most likely suffering from severe brain trauma as a result of you rolling it down the stairs repeatedly, you could consider it a form of euthanasia.

To be honest, you don't need that much bubble wrap. Also, you need to cut holes in the wrap so it can breathe.

Cherrim September 28th, 2010 8:16 PM

Nooo, we don't want to kill the Spheal. ;_; Just roll it.

It may sound silly, but I'm getting in shape for Ninja Warrior.

And when I say in shape, I mean 5 hours of intense exercise a day. (At least that's where I'm at so far. I've kinda just been doing absolutely as much as possible every day for the whole summer. Started at 20 minutes, and 2 months later I'm at 5 hours.)

Maybe he's just poor? It makes sense. Ninja Warrior gives you a prize of about ¥4000000 Yen, which is about $30000 dollars (I googled it okay). So maybe he's trying to win this in order to buy a cell phone.

It's more or less the fact that texting is cheaper than to call someone, I think.

Alice September 28th, 2010 10:45 PM

^ The opposite. By far. Although, a lot of phone plans have infinite texts now.

Logiedan September 28th, 2010 10:59 PM

I'm just assuming that people text just because they want to keep their conversations private instead of blurting out stuff. But I don't get why people do it on a daily basis even with enough freedom.

CounterattackDreamer September 28th, 2010 11:01 PM

Isn't texting like, the exact same as instant messaging/emailing?

... both of which you can also do through your phone?

Logiedan September 28th, 2010 11:13 PM

Alice September 28th, 2010 11:51 PM

In high school, pretty much half of the school texts during class 100% of the time. If they're just having regular conversations with multiple friends during a 70 minute class, they could do a lot of texting.

Ho-Oh September 29th, 2010 12:11 AM

My phone can send texts, phonecall and access the Internet (which chews up my credit ;;).

Though I only really use my phone to check if I have any reports in B/W when I'm away from home, lol.

That's absolutely true. ):
But I wonder what they can even talk about during class.

Ivysaur September 29th, 2010 1:14 AM

That isn't going to last for too long though. Mobile phones take up 75% of the general internet usage, so some companies are already taking the "un" from "unlimited" away, at least in the UK.

Ivysaur September 29th, 2010 1:19 AM

We used to have download caps here until 2002 or so, and the main provider in Spain (which already did so in the UK) is heavily hinting that they will start having caps soon. Luckily I ran away from them years ago.

Ho-Oh September 29th, 2010 1:41 AM

I don't think I'm actually on a plan. I know I'm on Virgin Mobile, but other than that it isn't monthly fees or anything, recharge whenever, so that's pretty much why my credit is used up when I use the Internet.

As for Internet in general, my Internet is slow compared to most others, but I don't think I actually have a cap (that I know of?) Cause my Internet is always the same slow speed, no matter how much I use it. By this I mean it's not too slow, but yeah D:

A Pixy September 29th, 2010 3:06 AM

My Internet seems fast, not 100% sure if it is. o3o

Also, YAY NAME CHANGE. n__________________n

Martins September 29th, 2010 4:47 AM

My Internet here is very, very slow, as in 40 KB per second. Above that, I have a 5 GB download cap only and if it exceeds that limit, I will be charged; every extra 40 MB, I pay $1.7. It sucks.

And 15 pages already? :O

Texting is so much more impersonal. If I don't particularly know a person, I wouldn't want to get to know them through a phone call =/

Pokestick, good times. September 29th, 2010 5:54 AM

Nononono, you misunderstand. If I don't know them very well, I probably wouldn't have to talk to them about anything, and the only reason for texting would be to convey information and matters of the like.

Netto Azure September 29th, 2010 7:18 AM

I borrow mah internetz. But the school has a T1 connection. :O

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ September 29th, 2010 8:01 AM

I believe our university also has a T1 connection, at least the hard-wired internet in the dorms.

I know it's fast enough for my Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector to function properly (most of the internet wi-fi hotspots I visit aren't fast enough).

Neo Duality September 29th, 2010 8:03 AM

I really can't do with less than a T3.

donavannj September 29th, 2010 9:56 AM

Your university cannot possibly be using a T1 for dorms, since a T1 only carries 1.44 Mbps, if your intenet speeds are higher than that. It's probably using fiber optic cable using SONET.

The dorms at my school had like 30-40mb download. I miss that internet so much, even if we had ridiculous bandwidth caps. (Except my second dorm... they forgot to cap me or something. That was awesome. 8D)

Unfortunately the wifi on campus itself is so awful that it's not even worth signing onto unless I absolutely need to grab something from a course website. :( It's deteriorated immensely over the years. *sigh*

According to my speed test, 5.82 mbps wifi on campus. Dorms here hit about 40ish on a good day.

For absolutely no reason, my high school had about 600 (yes, hundred) mbps. lol. Though I wouldn't know about the wifi there since I never used it.

Charizard★ September 29th, 2010 11:07 AM

Yes! I got one right! +1 for me :D

But, I seriously hate how my internet is connected to my phone line :/

Eucliffe September 29th, 2010 11:32 AM

My download speed depends on how fast my internet is.

At my mom's, it can be really fast or really slow; at my dad's it's fast unless he gets a phone call (which usually ends up being a sales call >_>;). And then for some reason it always seems to die around 20:30 for a few minutes.

shot571 September 29th, 2010 11:36 AM

Lol that used to happen to me but it stopped. Your supposed to use the ADSL filters or w.e theyre called. I thought it was a BS excuse to buy one of them but it stops you from slowing down/DC'in when theres a call well it did for me anyway (plus i got mine free :D)

Alice September 29th, 2010 11:38 AM

My download speed is supposedly 3 mb/s, but it only goes 160 kb/s (If I'm lucky)... I don't really know why. =/

Martins September 29th, 2010 11:41 AM

I am pretty sure that mbps stands for megabits per second, rather than megabytes. megabytes are represented as MB, whereas megabits as Mb. I think

I am going to get a faster bandwidth the next month, hopefully.

shot571 September 29th, 2010 11:45 AM

Oh. didnt know there was a difference XD. I just wish I could get that fibre optic stuff :D

Edit just checked and apparently it says it is megabit and it shouldnt be confused with megabytes wich is like you said MBps XD

Yeah. Since there's a big difference between a bit and a byte.
A bit refers to a single Binary character, either 0 or 1, whereas a byte refers to a combination of 8 bits. That's a pretty big difference.
