Tabunne Event.

Note! If this is in the wrong part, please move it(: Also, we should have an event thread.

Serebii just announced that Tabunne will be given away at Japanese Pokemon Centers.

http://www.serebii.net/events/dex/531.shtml

Comes with a Rare candy. Doesn't do or come with anything special, just a nice event.

I think it's only for Japan though since its a give away. :/

Anyway, what do you think... kind of >.>

Ho-Oh November 4th, 2010 8:01 AM

We do have an events thread! This one. :D
Going to edit title to include current event, though~

Seems strange they're giving away non-legendaries at this point, but oh well, we'll wait and see what they come up with next. XD

That's...strange. Why would they give away a relatively common Pokemon (in shaking grass) as an event?

Ho-Oh November 4th, 2010 7:53 PM

I have a hunch! On Serebii, it did say "Pokemon Centre Birthday", or something along those lines for the event description. Maybe it's due to the fact that Tabuune is the giving/caring Pokemon like Chansey, thus is given to you for that reason? D:

Hmm...that's a good reason. I never actually thought about that. I do like the fact that Tabunne has a Rare Candy attached.

A new wifi event has been announced for next month!

Quote:

A new WiFi event has been announced for Black & White. This WiFi event ties in with a special Pokémon Mystery Egg event which ties in with the anime on December 9th and the card game. From December 17th 2010 to January 11th 2011, you will be able to get an Egg off the Nintendo WiFi Connection's Mystery Gift. The Egg will hatch into one of three Pokémon and the Pokémon is random. You can only get one per game. We'll bring details on the Pokémon within the eggs as soon as we can.
From Serebii~

Mystery Egg? I have a thought that the three contained could be Yanappu, Boappu and Hiyappu, for some reason.

It's possible that the egg could be any of these Pokemon. Maybe they could have special moves upon hatching? (Yanappu with Power Whip, Boappu with Flare Blitz and Hiyappu with Muddy Water or Water Spout)

New WiFi Event

Serebii just update with a new Wifi Event.

Running from December 17th to January 11th, you can get a Mystery Egg from Mystery Gift that will hatch into one of three Pokemon currently unknown.
Whichever Pokemon hatches is completely random.

What do you think will be the three Pokemon?

Ho-Oh November 5th, 2010 5:41 PM

Aaaand merged the two threads together. :D;

revlis November 5th, 2010 5:43 PM

Thanks, I'm thinking too that it might be the monkeys, each with special moves.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire November 5th, 2010 8:57 PM

Maybe it's one of the starter trios with special moves...if so I hope it's the Isshu, Sinnoh, or Hoenn starter trio :)

#Emochu November 6th, 2010 4:08 AM

I want an ingame Zorua/Zoroark event that doesn'y invove preordering tickets and all these difficult tasks!

How come Rioulu was a freebi but zorua is just too special?

I think in the future, after the English games have been released... about a year after, they'll probably offer them over wifi, for those who couldn't get tickets, imo. :x

Kenshin5 November 6th, 2010 1:57 PM

Yes like the SPR2010. They are trying a new trend of Wifi Events over the traditional go to the location and download them via Wireless. Not to say that they won't be downloads on locations any more like VGC events and Movie Events.

Perriechu December 3rd, 2010 5:08 PM

A new event has been announced; It's a special Vicinti that will likely know some a move that it can't normally learn like Eruption Heatran. It's been released with the 14th Movie so except it around July 2011

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire December 3rd, 2010 5:53 PM

Ah I was going to report the victini event...
Well I think the Victini will come with it's signature move as one of it's 4 moves instead of how you get the Signature move for the Liberty Island victini. The pics also show Victini covered in flames...maybe it knows Flare blitz too...

Ho-Oh December 3rd, 2010 6:18 PM

Well, TRC was saying V-Generate Victini, or at least she was hoping for (which I have no clue what means, so :D;), but either way, at least it's a free event (though I don't think it'll be in English iirc?) Oh well!

V-Generate is the Signature move I talked about that Victini knows. I agree with TRC a V-Generate Victini is likely :)
Well we get most of the Movie related events here in NA so I think we will get Victini :)
Actually I think it will know both V-Generate and Ball of Flame :)

Wait I've never even heard of these moves? :o Are they translations?

I won't be getting the Vicinti here in England, we get abandoned when it comes to Pokemon; I have to relay on here to get it >:)

V-Generate doesn't exist legitimately. The only way to obtain it right now is by hacking, but it is a Victini only move.
Right now it's called a special move cause the means to obtain it legitimately are not known as of yet.
Kyuremu has two special moves as well right now, names being Cold Flare and Freeze Bolt.

I'm assuming since it was revealed there is a special Victini to be distributed with the 14th movie, that that is the Victini with V-Generate.
My thoughts come from the movie trailer where you can see Victini's ears flaring into flames and then glowing as he flies at full speed nearing a "tackle" point.
This matches the description of V-Generate, so it makes pretty good sense to me~

PlatinumDude December 12th, 2010 7:26 PM

I'm not sure where to put this, so I thought this was the best place to put it:

http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Darkrai_to_be_distributed_in_Japan

A Darkrai is to be distributed in Haneda Airport and some stores in Japan. It's level 50, is holding the Enigma Berry and is kept in the Cherish Ball. It knows Dark Void, Ominous Wind, Faint Attack and Nightmare as its moves.

I actually like this event because it gives Gen V a way to get Darkrai, but I don't like the moves Darkrai has; Dark Pulse should've been in Faint Attack's place.

To mods: delete this post if you think this isn't the right place.

The new issue of CoroCoro has announced that at the next World Hobby Fair in Japan, there will be yet another Pokémon giveaway. The World Hobby Fair runs from January 16th 2011 to February 6th 2011 in various parts of Japan. During this fair, Nintendo will be distributing a special Zoroark. This Zoroark knows a move which no other Pokémon can currently legitimately know; Bark Out. Bark Out is a sound-based Dark-type move which will later be available via TM95.
- From Serebii.

Lots of events announced lately. Interesting that there's another Zoroark, though!

Sounds like the Goon Scizor from earlier this year. A moveset that every Zoroark can learn, but in the end, is utterly terrible.

I want a Kerudio event. :D

kohei December 14th, 2010 7:37 AM

Do Pokemon Global Link events go here as well?
Since a whole lot's missing for it, I'm suspecting there's another thread for it.

Still, a lot on PGL. Well known ones like the guide book Starters and the nameable Arceus, to the awkward birthday Togekiss.

Sydian December 14th, 2010 11:14 PM

http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/wifievents.shtml

Looks like the next event for Japan is some eggs with random Pokemon inside. Can't wait to find out what's in them, then I will seriously consider getting an egg over Wi-Fi. I'm starting to think it's either a starter, one of the monkeys, or...okay, that's all I'm thinking, haha. :) But it's one of three possible Pokemon, so...I'm assuming it will be a gen V Pokemon.
